remarkable_a story_n of_o one_o that_o have_v a_o son_n that_o take_v bad_a course_n and_o will_v not_o be_v reclaim_v by_o all_o the_o good_a counsel_n his_o father_n can_v give_v he_o at_o last_o come_v to_o his_o father_n who_o lie_v upon_o his_o deathbed_n to_o beg_v his_o blessing_n his_o father_n instead_o of_o upbraid_v he_o with_o his_o bad_a life_n and_o undutiful_a carriage_n towards_o he_o speak_v kind_o to_o he_o and_o tell_v he_o he_o have_v but_o one_o thing_n to_o desire_v of_o he_o that_o every_o day_n he_o will_v retire_v and_o spend_v one_o quarter_n of_o a_o hour_n alone_o by_o himself_o which_o he_o promise_v his_o father_n faithful_o to_o do_v and_o make_v it_o good_a after_o a_o while_o it_o grow_v tedious_a to_o he_o to_o spend_v even_o so_o little_a time_n in_o the_o text_n they_o be_v a_o nation_n void_a of_o knowledge_n neither_o be_v there_o any_o understanding_n in_o they_o and_o the_o wish_n that_o follow_v in_o the_o text_n be_v as_o seasonable_a for_o we_o as_o it_o be_v for_o they_o o_o that_o they_o be_v wise_a that_o they_o vaderstood_v this_o that_o they_o will_v consider_v their_o latter_a end_n and_o by_o parity_n of_o reason_n this_o may_v likewise_o be_v apply_v to_o particular_a person_n and_o to_o persuade_v every_o one_o of_o we_o to_o a_o serious_a consideration_n of_o the_o final_a issue_n and_o consequence_n of_o our_o action_n again_o and_o again_o you_o that_o run_v on_o so_o furious_o in_o a_o sinful_a course_n what_o the_o end_n and_o issue_n of_o these_o thing_n will_v be_v if_o you_o do_v not_o do_v this_o you_o do_v not_o show_v yourselves_o man_n you_o do_v not_o act_v like_o reasonable_a creature_n to_o who_o it_o be_v peculiar_a to_o propose_v to_o themselves_o some_o end_n and_o design_n of_o their_o action_n but_o rather_o like_o brute_n creature_n which_o have_v no_o understanding_n and_o act_v only_o by_o a_o natural_a instinct_n without_o any_o consideration_n of_o the_o end_n of_o their_o action_n or_o of_o the_o mean_n conduce_v to_o it_o ii_o whether_o we_o consider_v it_o or_o not_o our_o latter_a end_n will_v come_v and_o all_o those_o dismal_a consequence_n of_o a_o sinful_a course_n which_o god_n have_v so_o plain_o threaten_v and_o our_o own_o conscience_n do_v so_o much_o dread_n will_v certain_o overtake_v we_o at_o last_o and_o we_o can_v by_o not_o think_v of_o these_o thing_n ever_o prevent_v or_o avoid_v they_o death_n will_v come_v and_o after_o that_o the_o judgement_n and_o a_o irreversible_a doom_n will_v pass_v upon_o we_o according_a to_o all_o the_o evil_a repentance_n be_v here_o speak_v of_o whether_o a_o mere_a external_a and_o hypocritical_a repentance_n in_o show_n and_o appearance_n only_o or_o a_o inward_a and_o real_a and_o sincere_a repentance_n the_o reason_n of_o this_o doubt_n depend_v upon_o the_o different_a theory_n of_o divine_n about_o the_o sufficiency_n of_o grace_n accompany_v the_o outward_a mean_n of_o repentance_n and_o whether_o a_o irresistible_a degree_n of_o god_n grace_n be_v necessary_a to_o repentance_n for_o they_o who_o deny_v sufficient_a grace_n to_o accompany_v the_o outward_a mean_n of_o repentance_n and_o assert_v a_o irresistible_a degree_n of_o god_n grace_n necessary_a to_o repentance_n be_v force_v to_o say_v that_o our_o saviour_n here_o speak_v of_o a_o mere_a external_n repentance_n because_o if_o he_o speak_v of_o a_o inward_a and_o sincere_a repentance_n than_o it_o must_v be_v grant_v that_o sufficient_a inward_a grace_n do_v accompany_v the_o miracle_n that_o be_v wrought_v in_o chorazin_n and_o bethsaida_n to_o bring_v man_n to_o repentance_n because_o what_o be_v afford_v to_o they_o will_v have_v bring_v tyre_n and_o sidon_n to_o repentance_n and_o that_o which_o will_v have_v effect_v a_o thing_n can_v be_v deny_v to_o be_v sufficient_a so_o that_o unless_o our_o saviour_n here_o speak_v of_o a_o mere_a external_n repentance_n either_o the_o outward_a mean_n of_o repentance_n as_o preach_v and_o miracle_n must_v be_v grant_v to_o be_v sufficient_a to_o bring_v man_n to_o repentance_n without_o the_o inward_a operation_n of_o god_n grace_n upon_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n or_o else_o a_o sufficient_a degree_n of_o god_n grace_n must_v be_v acknowledge_v to_o accompany_v the_o outward_a mean_n of_o repentance_n again_o if_o a_o irresistible_a degree_n of_o grace_n be_v necessary_a to_o true_a repentance_n it_o be_v plain_a chorazin_n and_o bethsaida_n have_v it_o not_o because_o they_o do_v not_o repent_v and_o yet_o without_o this_o tire_n and_o sidon_n can_v not_o have_v sincere_o repent_v therefore_o our_o saviour_n here_o must_v speak_v of_o a_o mere_a external_n repentance_n thus_o some_o argue_n as_o they_o do_v likewise_o concern_v the_o repentance_n of_o
