without_o fear_n of_o transgress_v his_o will_n be_v by_o this_o commandment_n understand_v to_o take_v his_o name_n in_o vain_a as_o also_o those_o that_o as_o soon_o as_o by_o reason_n of_o any_o sâ—ight_a occasion_n their_o nature_n be_v stir_v up_o to_o a_o certain_a choloric_a humour_n or_o their_o affection_n move_v fall_v by_o and_o by_o into_o most_o horrible_a and_o blasphemous_a oath_n in_o such_o outrageous_a &_o unseemly_a manner_n that_o sight_v as_o it_o be_v against_o his_o most_o glorious_a majesty_n they_o seek_v to_o trample_v his_o due_a honour_n under_o their_o foot_n and_o that_o not_o only_o such_o perjure_a and_o forswear_a person_n vain_a as_o either_o for_o their_o own_o lucre_n for_o the_o avoid_n of_o punishment_n or_o shun_v of_o shame_n fear_v not_o to_o make_v my_o heavenly_a father_n the_o author_n of_o all_o truth_n the_o defence_n of_o their_o most_o abominable_a and_o false_a lie_n but_o those_o common_a swearer_n who_o mouth_n by_o reason_n of_o custom_n run_v over_o as_o it_o be_v most_o unreverent_o even_o in_o common_a speech_n with_o most_o blasphemous_a and_o undecent_a oath_n which_o who_o so_o use_v bear_v he_o otherwise_o never_o so_o fair_a a_o show_n of_o live_v upright_o in_o his_o vocation_n dishonour_v his_o maker_n and_o heap_v his_o displeasure_n against_o himself_o against_o the_o day_n of_o vengeance_n for_o it_o be_v no_o excuse_n to_o sâ—y_v why_o although_o my_o tongue_n use_v now_o and_o then_o to_o swerve_v it_o be_v but_o a_o custom_n my_o heart_n stand_v as_o it_o ought_v and_o right_o affect_v towards_o god_n assure_v thyself_o this_o excuse_n be_v urine_a for_o such_o filthiness_n proceed_v out_o of_o the_o mouth_n heart_n bewray_v the_o heart_n to_o be_v unclean_a and_o very_o unreverent_o dispose_v wherefore_o if_o thou_o have_v be_v or_o be_v now_o thus_o corrupt_v with_o the_o dregs_n of_o such_o blasphemy_n cast_v it_o out_o cease_v to_o swear_v vain_o or_o untrue_o by_o my_o heavenly_a father_n or_o by_o i_o his_o son_n who_o be_o one_o with_o he_o or_o by_o any_o other_o thing_n and_o say_v not_o tush_o swear_v it_o be_v but_o a_o foolish_a custom_n or_o small_a matter_n beware_v i_o say_v beware_v for_o it_o be_v no_o small_a matter_n for_o my_o heavenly_a father_n will_v not_o hold_v he_o guiltless_a that_o thus_o abuse_v his_o holy_a name_n but_o such_o be_v the_o slender_a credit_n now_o adays_o remain_v among_o man_n that_o the_o one_o will_v not_o believe_v the_o other_o without_o paun_v his_o faith_n and_o his_o troth_n in_o buy_v in_o sell_v in_o game_n and_o even_o in_o familiar_a conference_n a_o grievous_a and_o a_o lamentable_a thing_n for_o which_o such_o blasphemer_n shall_v not_o escape_v unpunished_a why_o thou_o be_v also_o forbid_v by_o this_o commandment_n to_o swear_v by_o any_o other_o thing_n they_o by_o my_o heavenly_a father_n and_o that_o in_o matter_n wherein_o a_o oath_n be_v tolerable_a and_o command_v much_o less_o in_o frivolous_a and_o vain_a cause_n for_o that_o thou_o take_v to_o record_v and_o referre_v you_o e_fw-la judgement_n of_o the_o cause_n to_o he_o by_o who_o thou_o swear_v and_o therefore_o if_o it_o be_v by_o any_o beside_o my_o heavenly_a father_n thou_o take_v away_o his_o honour_n and_o give_v it_o to_o a_o other_o and_o so_o intitule_a the_o creature_n with_o that_o superiority_n which_o be_v of_o my_o heavenly_a father_n through_o the_o merit_n of_o i_o his_o son_n that_o sanctifi_v and_o justifi_v thou_o and_o not_o thy_o own_o work_n in_o which_o four_o former_a commandment_n be_v have_v command_v thou_o unto_o man_n 7.10_o the_o first_o whereof_o be_v to_o honour_v thy_o father_n and_o thy_o mother_n for_o who_o so_o curse_v father_n or_o mother_n let_v he_o die_v the_o death_n but_o he_o that_o true_o obei_v they_o and_o behave_v himself_o reverent_o aswell_o inward_o hearty_o endeavour_v himself_o to_o aid_v they_o to_o help_v they_o and_o submit_v his_o will_n unto_o their_o will_n in_o thing_n honest_a as_o in_o outward_a reverence_n nurture_n and_o seemly_a behaviour_n such_o a_o one_o i_o say_v have_v a_o blessing_n promise_v namely_o to_o have_v his_o root_v out_o and_o take_v away_o by_o untimely_a death_n from_o the_o land_n which_o my_o heavenly_a father_n have_v give_v they_o in_o which_o comaundement_n thou_o must_v understand_v thyself_o not_o only_o to_o be_v enjoin_v to_o use_v reverence_n and_o to_o give_v honour_n unto_o thy_o parent_n namely_o to_o those_o that_o be_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o bring_v thou_o into_o this_o life_n but_o unto_o all_o magistrate_n superior_n and_o minister_n who_o he_o have_v ordain_v as_o instrument_n â—_o by_o who_o to_o conveye_v such_o grace_n and_o benefit_n upon_o thou_o reverence_v from_o the_o throat_n of_o the_o godly_a 13.4_o by_o they_o be_v the_o righteous_a defend_v and_o the_o ungodly_a punish_v and_o therefore_o must_v thou_o accept_v they_o as_o the_o minister_n of_o god_n for_o thy_o wealth_n and_o to_o become_v subject_a unto_o they_o not_o only_o for_o fear_n of_o punishment_n but_o for_o conscience_n sake_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o benefit_n thou_o receive_v by_o their_o authority_n the_o elder_n say_v my_o apostle_n be_v worthy_a of_o double_a honour_n especial_o they_o which_o labour_n in_o the_o word_n and_o doctrine_n whereby_o it_o appear_v honour_n heart_n of_o all_o magistrate_n to_o execute_v their_o duty_n just_o to_o show_v themselves_o sharp_a in_o the_o punishment_n of_o vice_n and_o subdue_a of_o the_o wicked_a member_n of_o the_o realm_n of_o his_o word_n not_o only_o as_o they_o have_v free_o receive_v even_o so_o free_o to_o give_v use_v their_o tallentes_fw-la to_o the_o increase_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o his_o word_n where_o in_o conversation_n and_o manner_n that_o man_n see_v their_o good_a work_n may_v glorify_v my_o father_n which_o be_v in_o heaven_n dangerous_a but_o the_o negligence_n of_o parent_n in_o instruct_v their_o child_n and_o servant_n in_o my_o father_n will_n or_o rather_o their_o fond_a foolish_a and_o unparentike_a love_n which_o they_o through_o a_o blind_a affection_n bear_v unto_o their_o in_o pride_n to_o run_v into_o all_o wilful_a wickedness_n to_o kick_v against_o god_n and_o their_o superior_n give_v they_o the_o rain_v of_o liberty_n seldom_o or_o never_o restrain_v they_o with_o the_o bridle_n of_o correction_n until_o too_o late_a when_o neither_o fair_a word_n will_v win_v they_o stripe_n stoop_v their_o stubborness_n nor_o any_o correction_n call_v they_o from_o their_o looseness_n of_o life_n until_o the_o magestrate_n who_o bear_v not_o the_o sword_n for_o nought_o even_o of_o justice_n turn_v they_o over_o to_o the_o scourge_n of_o the_o law_n which_o to_o the_o great_a grief_n and_o heart-breaking_n of_o the_o parent_n when_o it_o be_v too_o late_a take_v they_o out_o of_o the_o land_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v give_v they_o by_o a_o untimely_a death_n and_o so_o both_o the_o child_n and_o parent_n in_o danger_n of_o the_o curse_n which_o follow_v the_o not_o regard_v to_o fulfil_v this_o commandment_n whereby_o it_o appeareeh_a that_o this_o commandment_n bind_v the_o parent_n aswell_o of_o duty_n to_o see_v their_o child_n bring_v up_o in_o fear_n and_o knowledge_n of_o my_o heavenly_a father_n will_n as_o it_o do_v the_o child_n to_o many_o evilles_n their_o partiality_n in_o punish_v the_o wicked_a prick_v the_o ungodly_a forward_o to_o many_o noisome_a attempt_n not_o only_o prejudicial_a to_o their_o own_o soul_n or_o to_o the_o hurt_n or_o loss_n of_o one_o particular_a or_o private_a man_n but_o to_o the_o hazard_n of_o the_o disturbance_n of_o a_o whole_a commonweal_n so_o dangerous_a be_v the_o spare_v of_o justice_n upon_o just_a deserving_n wherein_o sometime_o affection_n dangerous_a sometime_o countenance_n and_o oftentimes_o bribe_n do_v stop_v the_o passage_n of_o just_a execution_n to_o the_o clere_a of_o the_o offender_n and_o oppress_v the_o offend_a justice_n whereby_o they_o deserve_v not_o only_o the_o just_a sentence_n of_o death_n against_o themselves_o but_o encourage_v the_o wicked_a to_o wallow_v in_o their_o wickedness_n and_o take_v as_o it_o be_v the_o good_a opinion_n of_o the_o good_a from_o that_o which_o deserve_v the_o ill_a opinion_n of_o none_o it_o remain_v as_o a_o part_n of_o this_o commandment_n that_o as_o the_o minister_n and_o preacher_n of_o the_o word_n be_v allow_v such_o due_a reverence_n in_o respect_n of_o their_o high_a function_n and_o office_n call_n so_o it_o behove_v they_o especial_o to_o execute_v the_o same_o according_a to_o the_o divine_a will_n of_o he_o who_o minister_n they_o be_v call_v and_o that_o be_v to_o preach_v his_o word_n true_o and_o to_o answer_v that_o in_o their_o outward_a conversation_n and_o life_n which_o they_o pronounce_v with_o the_o mouth_n that_o the_o good_a fruit_n which_o spring_v of_o their_o good_a life_n may_v testify_v before_o man_n that_o they_o be_v send_v and_o that_o they_o be_v true_a messenger_n fruit_n tree_n that_o have_v not_o only_a leaf_n but_o fruit_n lest_o that_o when_o my_o heavenly_a father_n come_v he_o wither_v they_o up_o with_o y_z e_z breath_n of_o his_o mouth_n and_o so_o from_o thenceforth_o serve_v to_o no_o other_o purpose_n but_o for_o the_o fire_n as_o stand_v in_o need_n and_o crave_v relief_n at_o thy_o hand_n and_o so_o rather_o increase_v their_o misery_n and_o grief_n than_o mitigate_a the_o same_o through_o their_o aid_n which_o hardness_n of_o thy_o heart_n argue_v little_a humanity_n and_o less_o christianity_n to_o remain_v in_o thou_o those_o i_o say_v that_o be_v not_o move_v nor_o touch_v with_o the_o want_n and_o grief_n of_o heart_n christianity_n of_o a_o neither_o man_n nor_o move_v to_o compassion_n with_o the_o lamentable_a open_n of_o the_o poor_a man_n estate_n fulfil_v not_o this_o commandment_n much_o less_o do_v he_o who_o heart_n be_v so_o harden_v or_o his_o mind_n so_o choke_v with_o the_o coveitous_a desire_n of_o this_o world_n that_o he_o withold_v the_o labourer_n hire_n hire_n and_o the_o workman_n wage_n against_o who_o the_o prophet_n cry_v out_o and_o say_v woe_n unto_o he_o that_o build_v his_o house_n by_o unrighteousness_n and_o his_o chamber_n without_o equity_n he_o use_v his_o neighbour_n without_o wage_n and_o give_v he_o not_o for_o his_o work_n wealthy_a but_o this_o be_v every_o wealthy_a man_n case_n he_o think_v his_o poor_a neighbour_n or_o tenant_n to_o be_v bind_v of_o duty_n to_o work_v with_o he_o without_o wage_n and_o to_o labour_v without_o any_o hire_n at_o all_o yea_o though_o his_o neighbour_n business_n be_v undo_v and_o want_v wherewith_o to_o relieve_v himself_o which_o be_v flat_o against_o this_o commandment_n but_o let_v this_o commandment_n drive_v thou_o to_o the_o considerattion_n of_o thy_o former_a life_n wherein_o thou_o shall_v which_o simple_a thy_o tenant_n have_v and_o thrust_v he_o clean_o out_o of_o all_o that_o he_o possess_v which_o cruelty_n of_o thou_o stick_v so_o never_o his_o heart_n that_o he_o think_v himself_o
