state_n and_o condition_n of_o the_o dead_a he_o be_v for_o a_o while_n under_o the_o power_n and_o dominion_n of_o death_n his_o body_n for_o the_o space_n of_o three_o day_n lay_v in_o the_o grave_a sit_v down_o together_o before_o the_o lord_n at_o his_o table_n now_o to_o think_v that_o i_o must_v minister_v with_o you_o and_o for_o you_o no_o more_o in_o these_o ordinance_n methinks_v it_o be_v a_o beart-breaking_a consideration_n to_o think_v that_o i_o be_o now_o die_v in_o this_o congregation_n to_o think_v that_o i_o be_o now_o die_v whilst_o i_o be_o preach_v but_o this_o be_v my_o comfort_n under_o these_o sad_a thought_n that_o i_o can_v commit_v you_o to_o god_n and_o to_o the_o word_n of_o his_o grace_n to_o one_o that_o be_v able_a to_o keep_v you_o and_o to_o build_v you_o up_o and_o to_o give_v you_o a_o inheritance_n among_o they_o that_o be_v sanctify_v like_o a_o die_a father_n i_o can_v commend_v you_o to_o the_o care_n of_o such_o a_o friend_n infinite_o able_a to_o supply_v all_o that_o i_o can_v not_o do_v for_o you_o it_o be_v the_o comfort_n of_o a_o die_a father_n when_o he_o see_v his_o child_n weep_v round_o about_o he_o that_o he_o can_v commend_v behead_v in_o one_o day_n what_o have_v england_n command_v be_v it_o not_o some_o high_a treason_n if_o we_o look_v to_o the_o cause_n of_o it_o why_o so_o many_o minister_n be_v as_o dead_a in_o one_o day_n as_o so_o many_o child_n without_o a_o father_n and_o if_o we_o look_v upon_o the_o cause_n what_o have_v cause_v god_n thus_o to_o deal_v with_o we_o we_o must_v complain_v oh_o our_o unfruitfulness_n our_o fearful_a unthankfulness_n under_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n this_o will_v be_v the_o emphasis_n and_o fling_n of_o our_o grief_n and_o this_o shall_v be_v the_o matter_n of_o our_o grief_n and_o then_o if_o we_o consider_v the_o sad_a prognostic_n what_o it_o do_v seem_v to_o foretell_v it_o be_v a_o sign_n that_o when_o god_n lay_v aside_o so_o many_o faithful_a minister_n of_o some_o scourge_n and_o calamity_n that_o be_v come_v upon_o we_o but_o you_o that_o can_v lament_v this_o judgement_n you_o that_o can_v lament_v the_o sad_a deprivation_n of_o these_o powerful_a ordinance_n remember_v that_o though_o your_o minister_n be_v dead_a god_n can_v raise_v you_o up_o other_o in_o their_o stead_n and_o where_o the_o way_n of_o instrument_n be_v want_v he_o can_v do_v it_o without_o they_o and_o those_o that_o be_v beget_v in_o christ_n shall_v be_v preserve_v and_o those_o that_o be_v yet_o unbrought_a in_o who_o belong_v to_o the_o election_n of_o these_o exhortation_n in_o our_o day_n if_o any_o say_v no_o there_o be_v not_o more_o cause_n for_o then_o the_o magistrate_n be_v a_o mortal_a enemy_n to_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o professor_n of_o it_o but_o we_o be_v thanks_o be_v to_o god_n under_o a_o christian_a magistrate_n who_o do_v not_o oppose_v but_o countenance_n the_o gospel_n and_o the_o profeffor_n of_o it_o if_o any_o make_v for_o say_v he_o the_o great_a increase_n of_o papist_n that_o we_o daily_o hear_v of_o and_o the_o great_a decline_a of_o many_o who_o be_v ready_a to_o receive_v any_o error_n that_o shall_v be_v offer_v to_o they_o these_o thing_n give_v we_o just_a cause_n to_o fear_v the_o danger_n of_o popery_n overspreading_a we_o and_o brethren_n if_o it_o be_v so_o in_o his_o time_n so_o many_o year_n ago_o what_o be_v it_o now_o reas._n ii_o second_o say_v he_o if_o he_o there_o be_v no_o danger_n oâ—_n popery_n yet_o say_v he_o there_o be_v so_o many_o error_n new_o spring_v up_o that_o do_v show_v how_o needful_a this_o exhortation_n be_v reas._n iii_o three_o say_v he_o there_o be_v such_o a_o general_a decay_n of_o the_o love_n of_o religion_n in_o all_o place_n and_o among_o all_o stake_n be_v such_o argument_n brethren_n that_o all_o the_o learning_n and_o part_n in_o the_o world_n can_v answer_v but_o only_o christ_n and_o his_o spirit_n and_o grace_n in_o the_o heart_n therefore_o if_o you_o will_v hold_v fast_o the_o truth_n which_o you_o have_v receive_v and_o hear_v and_o not_o be_v beat_v off_o from_o they_o in_o the_o day_n of_o trial_n get_v into_o christ_n root_v and_o establish_v in_o he_o then_o shall_v you_o stand_v not_o else_o 2._o if_o you_o will_v hold_v fast_o the_o truth_n that_o you_o have_v hear_v and_o receive_v then_o take_v nothing_o upon_o trust_n in_o matter_n of_o religion_n what_o ever_o preacher_n you_o hear_v or_o what_o ever_o book_n you_o read_v take_v not_o thing_n upon_o trust_n but_o examine_v they_o and_o prove_v
