banquet_n shall_v be_v sumptuous_a and_o royallie_o furnish_v it_o appertain_v to_o the_o praise_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o it_o be_v a_o spiritual_a food_n to_o nourish_v and_o meaning_n as_o i_o think_v be_v that_o the_o lord_n here_o promise_v to_o take_v away_o that_o veil_n which_o hold_v they_o in_o ignorance_n and_o blindness_n these_o obscurity_n than_o be_v scatter_v and_o drive_v away_o by_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n ignorance_n the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n scatter_v the_o darkness_n of_o ignorance_n now_o he_o say_v that_o this_o shall_v be_v do_v in_o the_o mountain_n of_o zion_n whence_o the_o light_n of_o the_o word_n in_o very_a deed_n shine_v throughout_o the_o world_n as_o we_o have_v see_v heretofore_o 2.3_o chap._n 2.3_o this_o text_n wit_n that_o all_o darkness_n shall_v be_v disperse_v by_o the_o light_n thereof_o yea_o and_o all_o veil_n of_o error_n shall_v be_v take_v from_o our_o eye_n whence_o it_o follow_v that_o we_o be_v enwrap_v and_o blind_v with_o darkness_n of_o ignorance_n till_o we_o be_v enlighten_v with_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o gospel_n us._n we_o remain_v in_o darkness_n and_o in_o the_o shadow_n of_o death_n till_o the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n shine_v upon_o us._n which_o only_o be_v of_o force_n to_o give_v both_o light_n and_o life_n and_o perfect_o to_o frame_v we_o new_a this_o place_n manner_n of_o error_n and_o superstition_n verse_n 8._o he_o will_v destroy_v death_n for_o ever_o and_o the_o lord_n will_v wipe_v away_o the_o tear_n from_o all_o face_n and_o the_o rebuke_n of_o his_o people_n will_v he_o take_v away_o out_o of_o the_o earth_n for_o the_o lord_n have_v speak_v it_o the_o prophet_n go_v on_o still_o with_o the_o matter_n in_o hand_n for_o in_o sum_n he_o promise_v that_o there_o shall_v be_v perfect_a felicity_n under_o the_o kingdom_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o better_a to_o express_v it_o he_o use_v many_o figure_n very_o fit_v and_o agreeable_a for_o his_o present_a purpose_n consist_v wherein_o true_a happiness_n consist_v true_a felicity_n stand_v not_o in_o earthly_a nor_o transitory_a thing_n but_o in_o that_o which_o can_v not_o be_v that_o which_o he_o have_v foretell_v alone_o but_o also_o what_o end_n the_o lord_n aim_v at_o in_o this_o execution_n that_o be_v to_o say_v why_o he_o afflict_v so_o many_o nation_n with_o such_o diversity_n of_o punishment_n namely_o that_o he_o may_v bring_v under_o those_o which_o be_v before_o unrulie_a and_o overflow_v in_o a_o brutish_a sensuality_n who_o as_o they_o have_v no_o fear_n of_o god_n before_o their_o eye_n so_o have_v they_o no_o sense_n of_o religion_n or_o godliness_n at_o all_o thou_o be_v my_o god_n be_v perplex_v and_o confound_v in_o himself_o he_o sudden_o turn_v his_o thought_n unto_o god_n as_o we_o have_v say_v whence_o we_o may_v gather_v a_o very_a profitable_a doctrine_n to_o wit_n that_o when_o our_o mind_n be_v toss_v to_o and_o fro_o with_o diverse_a cogitation_n distress_n what_o ought_v to_o be_v our_o refuge_n in_o time_n of_o deep_a distress_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o many_o misery_n and_o calamity_n which_o daily_o happen_v that_o we_o by_o of_o thing_n which_o fall_v out_o in_o the_o government_n of_o the_o world_n and_o will_v stand_v amaze_v thereat_o as_o no_o doubt_n the_o tyrian_n sidonian_n babylonian_n and_o moabite_n do_v work_n who_o they_o be_v that_o profit_n by_o the_o view_n of_o god_n work_n but_o none_o can_v benefit_v themselves_o by_o this_o sight_n but_o such_o as_o therewithal_o have_v a_o taste_n and_o feel_n of_o god_n wisdom_n and_o goodness_n for_o without_o that_o man_n do_v rather_o scorn_v and_o despise_v such_o work_n then_o apprehend_v the_o excellency_n of_o they_o because_o they_o look_v not_o to_o the_o end_n that_o god_n aim_v at_o to_o wit_n 4.6_o 2._o cor._n 4.6_o that_o by_o draw_v light_n out_o of_o darkness_n he_o be_v wont_v after_o a_o wonderful_a manner_n church_n how_o god_n be_v the_o government_n and_o disposition_n of_o all_o thing_n from_o the_o beginning_n unto_o the_o end_n now_o because_o we_o be_v not_o able_a to_o attain_v to_o his_o secret_a counsel_n and_o that_o our_o wit_n can_v not_o mount_v so_o high_a we_o must_v be_v bring_v to_o the_o manifestation_n of_o that_o which_o for_o the_o present_n be_v hide_v from_o we_o and_o be_v above_o our_o reach_n till_o such_o time_n as_o the_o lord_n discover_v the_o same_o unto_o we_o by_o his_o word_n by_o which_o he_o apply_v himself_o to_o our_o weakness_n because_o his_o secret_a counsel_n be_v incomprehensible_a isaiah_n therefore_o descend_v by_o and_o by_o from_o these_o hide_a ordinance_n of_o god_n to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o word_n and_o the_o promise_n therein_o contain_v will_n isaiâ—h_n descend_v fâ—om_o gâ—ds_v secret_a will_n to_o his_o reveal_v will_n which_o doubtless_o he_o comprehend_v under_o the_o word_n truth_n for_o this_o repetition_n shall_v be_v to_o little_a purpose_n unless_o he_o have_v have_v some_o relation_n in_o this_o word_n for_o after_o god_n have_v by_o it_o reveal_v his_o counsel_n unto_o we_o than_o he_o proper_o appear_v to_o be_v true_a if_o we_o believe_v and_o credit_v his_o say_n thus_o than_o the_o prophet_n commend_v the_o stableness_n and_o certainty_n of_o the_o word_n when_o he_o call_v it_o a_o stable_a truth_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v say_v all_o thing_n which_o god_n pronounce_v and_o proceed_v from_o he_o be_v stable_n and_o immovable_a verse_n 2._o for_o thou_o have_v make_v of_o a_o city_n a_o heap_n of_o a_o strong_a city_n a_o ruin_n even_o the_o palace_n of_o stranger_n of_o a_o city_n it_o shall_v never_o be_v build_v some_o refer_v this_o to_o jerusalem_n but_o i_o rather_o think_v it_o to_o be_v a_o change_n of_o the_o number_n only_o which_o be_v a_o thing_n very_o usual_a among_o the_o prophet_n for_o isaiah_n speak_v not_o of_o one_o city_n alone_o but_o of_o many_o which_o he_o foretell_v shall_v be_v so_o quench_v but_o that_o some_o spark_n thereof_o appear_v though_o he_o be_v leave_v destitute_a of_o all_o outward_a comfort_n for_o by_o the_o secret_a instinct_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n he_o
