the_o sun_n be_v mean_v all_o the_o comfort_n of_o this_o present_a life_n which_o make_v it_o sweet_a and_o pleasant_a next_o upon_o supposition_n that_o man_n have_v never_o so_o long_a a_o life_n and_o the_o same_o never_o so_o much_o sweeten_v by_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o creature-comfort_n he_o press_v upon_o they_o that_o they_o shall_v remember_v death_n as_o certain_o abide_v they_o and_o consequent_o prepare_v for_o it_o for_o by_o the_o day_n of_o darkness_n which_o be_v many_o be_v chief_o mean_v the_o state_n of_o death_n so_o call_v because_o under_o it_o man_n be_v deprive_v of_o those_o earthly_a comfort_n which_o be_v set_v orth_o by_o the_o pleasantness_n of_o the_o light_n and_o sweetness_n of_o behold_v the_o sun_n and_o by_o the_o same_o also_o may_v be_v understand_v the_o eternity_n of_o the_o wicked_n torment_n because_o that_o be_v most_o fit_o signify_v by_o the_o many_o day_n of_o darkness_n and_o the_o consideration_n thereof_o be_v most_o powerful_a to_o though_o the_o word_n translate_v event_n be_v use_v in_o scripture_n for_o prosperous_a and_o comfortable_a occurrence_n gen._n 24.12_o yet_o the_o follow_a instance_n make_v it_o clear_a that_o it_o be_v to_o be_v understand_v here_o of_o sad_a and_o dismal_a event_n and_o such_o as_o be_v contrary_a or_o do_v come_v against_o as_o the_o word_n also_o signify_v mens_fw-la natural_a inclination_n and_o yet_o the_o meaning_n be_v not_o as_o if_o every_o one_o of_o both_o sort_n of_o man_n here_o speak_v of_o do_v always_o meet_v with_o the_o same_o kind_n of_o sad_a event_n see_v experience_n teach_v that_o some_o sensual_a voluptuous_a man_n will_v be_v keep_v free_a of_o such_o and_o suffer_v to_o enjoy_v their_o pleasure_n while_o the_o moral_o wise_a and_o sober_a man_n will_v meet_v with_o they_o sad_o but_o the_o meaning_n be_v that_o neither_o the_o foresight_n or_o prudence_n wherein_o the_o one_o sort_n please_v themselves_o as_o the_o best_a way_n to_o their_o happiness_n nor_o the_o abundance_n of_o earthly_a delight_n whereof_o the_o other_o have_v no_o less_o esteem_n can_v either_o hold_v off_o or_o sweeten_v any_o sad_a event_n that_o may_v befall_v either_o of_o they_o and_o though_o it_o be_v true_a that_o the_o same_o sad_a event_n for_o the_o substance_n or_o kind_n of_o they_o may_v in_o time_n befall_v these_o that_o be_v endue_v with_o save_v of_o reason_v be_v confute_v by_o solomon_n in_o this_o place_n who_o have_v former_o cry_v down_o this_o wisdom_n whereof_o he_o speak_v as_o utter_o unable_a to_o direct_v man_n to_o his_o true_a happiness_n he_o do_v here_o commend_v it_o as_o to_o other_o more_o inferior_a effect_n then_o i_o see_v that_o wisdom_n excel_v folly_n as_o far_o as_o light_n etc._n etc._n 4._o the_o use_n of_o similitude_n take_v from_o thing_n natural_a or_o civil_a for_o cleaâ—â—ng_v the_o truth_n of_o thing_n moral_a or_o divine_a be_v lawful_a and_o suitable_a for_o preacher_n of_o the_o gospel_n provide_v they_o be_v apposite_a decent_a spare_o use_v and_o not_o bring_v for_o proof_n but_o illustration_n of_o truth_n prove_v for_o so_o do_v solomon_n here_o illustrate_v this_o assertion_n which_o he_o prove_v afterward_o by_o a_o very_a pertinent_a similitude_n i_o see_v that_o wisdom_n excel_v folly_n as_o far_o as_o light_n excel_v darkness_n 5._o man_n altogether_o blind_a in_o what_o concern_v their_o soul_n who_o can_v neither_o see_v their_o spiritual_a danger_n nor_o the_o remedy_n thereof_o thâ—_n both_o be_v clear_o hold_v out_o to_o they_o may_v be_v very_o sharp_a of_o the_o strength_n of_o the_o leg_n require_v some_o suitable_a preparation_n for_o it_o 5._o as_o the_o wisdom_n and_o goodness_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v much_o acknowledge_v in_o give_v man_n
