fill_v he_o with_o life_n and_o joy_n in_o well-doing_n especial_o where_o the_o temptation_n to_o sin_n be_v very_o great_a and_o which_o will_v dismay_v he_o and_o make_v he_o a_o burden_n to_o himself_o if_o he_o shall_v act_v contrary_a to_o his_o clear_a and_o settle_a judgement_n of_o what_o he_o ought_v to_o do_v in_o short_a to_o walk_v with_o god_n be_v to_o be_v universal_o good_a this_o be_v and_o withal_o that_o they_o may_v by_o so_o sensible_a a_o argument_n be_v lead_v to_o consider_v that_o the_o true_a reward_n of_o piety_n and_o integrity_n be_v not_o in_o this_o world_n but_o in_o a_o better_a 1._o there_o be_v this_o instruction_n in_o the_o transtation_n of_o enoch_n which_o the_o world_n can_v not_o but_o take_v notice_n of_o that_o there_o be_v hence_o that_o enoch_n be_v translate_v but_o 69_o year_n before_o noah_n be_v bear_v in_o who_o time_n mankind_n be_v grow_v to_o such_o a_o intolerable_a degree_n of_o licentiousness_n that_o god_n send_v the_o flood_n to_o sweep_v all_o away_o but_o eight_o person_n now_o it_o be_v not_o to_o be_v think_v that_o the_o world_n be_v overspread_v with_o such_o monstrous_a vice_n all_o of_o a_o sudden_a but_o that_o after_o the_o manner_n of_o all_o humane_a degeneracy_n corruption_n of_o manner_n and_o of_o principle_n too_o come_v on_o by_o degree_n and_o consequent_o
hope_n of_o the_o same_o reward_n to_o influence_n we_o which_o enoch_n have_v though_o not_o of_o be_v translate_v alive_a into_o a_o better_a world_n yet_o of_o go_v thither_o by_o the_o common_a passage_n of_o death_n which_o as_o to_o the_o substance_n of_o the_o reward_n be_v the_o same_o thing_n the_o other_o circumstance_n so_o singular_a in_o the_o case_n of_o enoch_n be_v not_o altogether_o so_o much_o for_o his_o own_o sake_n as_o for_o the_o instruction_n of_o other_o there_o be_v but_o two_o person_n that_o go_v thus_o into_o a_o better_a world_n enoch_n one_o for_o the_o instruction_n of_o a_o decline_a and_o degenerate_a age_n almost_o whole_o sink_v into_o a_o worldly_a life_n elias_n another_o for_o a_o admonition_n to_o a_o very_a corrupt_a age_n too_o the_o former_a when_o all_o thing_n be_v run_v into_o licentiousness_n and_o disorder_n among_o the_o patriarch_n before_o the_o law_n the_o latter_a when_o the_o time_n be_v as_o bad_a under_o the_o law_n and_o both_o these_o to_o maintain_v a_o sense_n of_o god_n and_o another_o world_n while_o yet_o the_o revelation_n of_o a_o future_a life_n be_v not_o so_o clear_a and_o public_a as_o it_o be_v make_v by_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n who_o bring_v life_n and_o immortality_n to_o light_v and_o since_o he_o by_o his_o doctrine_n and_o by_o his_o resurrection_n and_o his_o ascension_n into_o heaven_n have_v give_v we_o such_o evidence_n and_o notice_n of_o a_o life_n to_o come_v that_o a_o more_o clear_a evidence_n can_v not_o have_v be_v reasonable_o desire_v there_o be_v no_o need_n that_o the_o world_n under_o the_o gospel_n shall_v be_v admonish_v by_o such_o extraordinary_a method_n any_o more_o our_o bless_a lord_n himself_o be_v not_o translate_v into_o heaven_n till_o after_o his_o death_n and_o resurrection_n he_o in_o all_o thing_n go_v before_o we_o show_v we_o by_o his_o example_n not_o only_o what_o our_o duty_n be_v but_o what_o and_o in_o what_o manner_n our_o reward_n shall_v be_v confer_v we_o must_v die_v and_o rise_v again_o and_o then_o ascend_v to_o the_o heaven_n of_o heaven_n for_o the_o consummation_n of_o our_o reward_n and_o have_v this_o hope_n let_v we_o purify_v ourselves_o as_o he_o be_v pure_a have_v these_o promise_n dear_o belove_v let_v we_o cleanse_v ourselves_o from_o all_o filthiness_n of_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n perfect_a holiness_n in_o the_o fear_n of_o god._n to_o conclude_v we_o have_v the_o same_o god_n to_o serve_v and_o obey_v that_o enoch_n have_v the_o same_o promise_n and_o those_o more_o public_o and_o solemn_o make_v and_o more_o strong_o confirm_v to_o we_o than_o ever_o they_o be_v to_o the_o father_n we_o have_v i_o say_v the_o same_o promise_n to_o excite_v we_o that_o he_o have_v and_o all_o the_o same_o advantage_n that_o he_o have_v and_o in_o many_o respect_n much_o great_a through_o the_o revelation_n of_o the_o gospel_n by_o our_o lord_n jesus_n and_o we_o be_v under_o no_o great_a temptation_n and_o discouragement_n than_o he_o meet_v with_o or_o if_o we_o be_v the_o grace_n of_o god_n be_v sufficient_a for_o we_o and_o therefore_o let_v we_o walk_v with_o god_n as_o he_o walk_v with_o he_o that_o when_o that_o time_n come_v of_o which_o enoch_n prophesy_v as_o saint_n judas_n report_v v._o 14._o that_o the_o lord_n shall_v come_v with_o ten_o thousand_o of_o his_o be_v a_o mixture_n of_o good_a and_o evil._n no_o man_n be_v whole_o deprive_v of_o the_o comfort_n nor_o any_o man_n perfect_o exempt_v from_o the_o trouble_n of_o it_o there_o be_v indeed_o a_o great_a variety_n in_o the_o mixture_n the_o affliction_n of_o some_o be_v as_o inconsiderable_a as_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o other_o but_o in_o some_o proportion_n all_o receive_v good_a and_o evil_a nor_o be_v any_o man_n condition_n at_o a_o perfect_a stay_n we_o change_v often_o for_o the_o better_a or_o the_o worse_o sometime_o from_o the_o bottom_n of_o adversity_n we_o rise_v to_o great_a happiness_n and_o at_o other_o time_n we_o fall_v as_o low_o which_o be_v the_o case_n of_o job_n beyond_o ordinary_a example_n all_o which_o be_v true_a as_o well_o of_o family_n and_o nation_n as_o of_o particular_a person_n 2._o the_o good_a we_o enjoy_v and_o the_o evil_a we_o suffer_v be_v both_o from_o the_o hand_n of_o god._n for_o his_o providence_n always_o attend_v the_o work_n of_o second_o cause_n either_o dispose_n they_o or_o permit_v they_o to_o produce_v those_o thing_n that_o happen_v in_o the_o world._n when_o the_o air_n be_v healthy_a or_o infectious_a when_o the_o season_n be_v fruitful_a or_o unkind_o when_o the_o wind_n make_v a_o shipwreck_n or_o when_o it_o bring_v the_o ship_n safe_a into_o the_o harbour_n when_o we_o suffer_v by_o the_o malice_n and_o passion_n of_o other_o or_o when_o they_o be_v take_v in_o their_o own_o net_n and_o we_o escape_v we_o be_v in_o all_o these_o and_o the_o like_a event_n to_o look_v far_o than_o the_o immediate_a cause_n of_o the_o good_a or_o the_o evil_a and_o to_o acknowledge_v the_o overrule_a providence_n of_o god._n thus_o although_o they_o be_v the_o sabean_o and_o the_o chaldaean_n that_o slay_v job_n servant_n and_o carry_v away_o his_o cattle_n though_o his_o sheep_n be_v destroy_v by_o lightning_n and_o his_o child_n by_o a_o tempest_n that_o blow_v down_o the_o house_n upon_o they_o yet_o he_o omit_v or_o not_o so_o much_o regard_v the_o influence_n of_o these_o second_o cause_n apply_v himself_o to_o the_o consideration_n of_o that_o providence_n under_o which_o they_o all_o concur_v to_o reduce_v he_o to_o this_o sad_a state_n and_o he_o fall_v down_o upon_o the_o ground_n and_o worship_v and_o say_v naked_a come_v i_o out_o of_o my_o mother_n womb_n and_o naked_a shall_v i_o return_v thither_o the_o lord_n give_v and_o the_o lord_n have_v take_v away_o bless_a be_v the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n these_o be_v the_o two_o point_n intimate_v in_o the_o text_n that_o this_o present_a life_n be_v a_o state_n of_o good_a and_o of_o evil_a and_o that_o both_o be_v from_o the_o hand_n of_o god._n but_o 3._o the_o main_a scope_n of_o the_o word_n be_v that_o we_o be_v to_o take_v all_o in_o good_a part_n from_o divine_a providence_n and_o to_o receive_v evil_a from_o god_n hand_n as_o well_o as_o good._n which_o be_v a_o duty_n necessary_a to_o be_v understand_v and_o necessary_a to_o be_v practise_v by_o every_o one_o of_o we_o both_o for_o the_o discharge_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n and_o likewise_o for_o our_o own_o ease_n and_o comfort_n in_o this_o uncertain_a and_o miserable_a world._n i_o shall_v therefore_o in_o the_o first_o place_n illustrate_v the_o sense_n of_o this_o passage_n and_o show_v what_o be_v mean_v by_o receive_v evil_a at_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n and_o then_o i_o shall_v propound_v to_o your_o consideration_n some_o of_o those_o many_o reason_n why_o we_o shall_v effectual_o persuade_v ourselves_o so_o to_o do_v as_o to_o the_o first_o the_o manner_n
