famine_n be_v sore_o upon_o we_o also_o and_o like_a to_o that_o which_o be_v in_o samaria_n a_o famine_n that_o put_v we_o to_o it_o so_o hardly_o that_o we_o be_v make_v to_o eat_v our_o own_o child_n the_o fruit_n of_o our_o own_o thought_n and_o wisdom_n and_o reason_n we_o have_v no_o bread_n from_o heaven_n now_o rain_v upon_o we_o but_o bread_n from_o the_o earth_n that_o be_v from_o beneath_o our_o own_o fleshly_a thought_n and_o counsel_n we_o have_v nothing_o else_o in_o a_o straight_a to_o refresh_v our_o weary_a soul_n withal_o all_o be_v spend_v and_o the_o prodigal_n seek_v to_o fill_v his_o belly_n with_o the_o husk_n that_o the_o swine_n eat_v and_o they_o fail_v he_o also_o 4._o there_o be_v a_o host_n of_o enemy_n have_v beset_v we_o troop_n that_o continual_o seek_v our_o life_n and_o wait_v for_o our_o halt_n both_o from_o within_o and_o from_o without_o and_o they_o threaten_v like_o goliath_n never_o to_o give_v over_o till_o they_o have_v give_v our_o flesh_n to_o the_o beast_n of_o the_o field_n and_o the_o fowl_n of_o the_o air_n till_o they_o have_v undo_v we_o when_o the_o poor_a soul_n sit_v sad_o bemoan_v itself_o alas_o i_o be_o a_o outcast_n shut_v out_o from_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o people_n and_o be_o make_v to_o sit_v alone_o in_o my_o chain_n alas_o i_o be_o a_o leper_n and_o unclean_a my_o wound_n stink_v and_o be_v the_o soul_n in_o this_o case_n this_o add_v to_o all_o our_o misery_n great_o here_o new_a fear_n perplex_v the_o soul_n lest_o the_o enemy_n come_v unaware_o and_o slay_v it_o the_o leper_n know_v not_o what_o shall_v befall_v they_o and_o they_o be_v sensible_a of_o all_o these_o misery_n now_o upon_o they_o alas_o you_o that_o go_v and_o come_v and_o sit_v here_o as_o picture_n and_o be_v no_o more_o sensible_a than_o the_o stone_n in_o the_o wall_n all_o this_o be_v nothing_o to_o you_o and_o i_o be_o wonder_v sometime_o how_o it_o be_v possible_a you_o shall_v thus_o sleep_v away_o your_o time_n and_o never_o consider_v you_o be_v go_v apace_o to_o hell_n and_o

and_o the_o devil_n they_o be_v the_o two_o thief_n the_o devil_n he_o be_v the_o great_a thief_n he_o steal_v to_o himself_o lordship_n and_o power_n and_o to_o sit_v in_o the_o seat_n of_o god_n and_o to_o be_v disposer_n of_o thing_n he_o brag_v and_o vaunt_n all_o this_o will_v i_o give_v if_o thou_o will_v fall_v down_o and_o worship_n etc._n etc._n alas_o they_o be_v none_o of_o his_o good_n then_o the_o man_n he_o be_v a_o thief_n too_o he_o steal_v a_o little_a hope_n and_o ease_n and_o rest_n a_o little_a release_n of_o his_o burden_n when_o it_o press_v very_o sore_o and_o this_o thief_n steal_v for_o his_o want_n to_o satisfy_v his_o hunger_n and_o therefore_o he_o may_v be_v save_v with_o christ_n but_o between_o these_o two_o the_o truth_n must_v die_v as_o one_o further_o the_o soldier_n part_n his_o garment_n among_o they_o and_o true_o this_o be_v a_o very_a sad_a case_n to_o consider_v how_o the_o lust_n that_o crucify_v the_o truth_n yet_o they_o will_v divide_v its_o garment_n and_o put_v they_o on_o and_o they_o will_v be_v cover_v with_o a_o garb_n and_o cover_n of_o truth_n the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o flesh_n that_o put_v in_o for_o a_o share_n the_o hasty_a and_o eager_a zeal_n and_o affection_n they_o plead_v for_o a_o share_n the_o strange_a imagination_n they_o plead_v a_o share_n and_o all_o will_v seem_v to_o be_v friend_n to_o truth_n notwithstanding_o they_o have_v but_o now_o put_v it_o to_o death_n yet_o they_o part_v his_o garment_n among_o they_o and_o this_o be_v a_o sad_a case_n to_o the_o sensible_a soul_n that_o be_v bereave_v of_o the_o life_n of_o its_o truth_n and_o of_o the_o garment_n also_o that_o have_v lose_v all_o such_o a_o soul_n can_v cry_v out_o bitter_o with_o mary_n they_o have_v take_v away_o my_o lord_n and_o i_o know_v not_o where_o they_o have_v lay_v he_o 5._o yet_o further_o he_o submit_v to_o be_v leave_v and_o forsake_v of_o all_o his_o friend_n his_o disciple_n leave_v he_o and_o flee_v may_v he_o but_o have_v have_v they_o to_o stick_v to_o he_o in_o this_o day_n of_o his_o calamity_n it_o have_v be_v a_o great_a support_n and_o stay_v but_o they_o all_o leave_v he_o and_o be_v scatter_v every_o one_o to_o his_o own_o and_o herein_o lie_v a_o sore_a aggravation_n of_o misery_n if_o your_o soul_n can_v read_v it_o that_o now_o in_o this_o woeful_a day_n when_o all_o these_o woe_n be_v upon_o the_o back_n and_o press_v the_o soul_n to_o death_n almost_o yet_o this_o must_v come_v in_o to_o add_v to_o all_o the_o rest_n that_o all_o the_o good_a that_o ever_o the_o soul_n have_v do_v and_o thought_n and_o labour_v in_o the_o truth_n all_o be_v now_o scatter_a and_o leave_v it_o what_o ever_o it_o have_v do_v single_o and_o honest_o and_o out_o of_o the_o goodwill_n sow_o in_o its_o heart_n towards_o the_o truth_n all_o the_o labour_n under_o the_o sun_n now_o take_v their_o leave_n and_o seem_v vanity_n and_o vexation_n of_o spirit_n and_o here_o christ_n cry_v out_o i_o have_v spend_v my_o labour_n in_o vain_a time_n will_v come_v you_o will_v forget_v that_o ever_o you_o have_v a_o good_a thought_n or_o a_o good_a word_n or_o do_v any_o thing_n for_o the_o truth_n all_o will_v leave_v you_o and_o be_v go_v when_o now_o your_o soul_n can_v sometime_o hold_v on_o the_o innocency_n and_o single_a mindedness_n within_o and_o true_o pray_v to_o be_v remember_v according_a to_o that_o inward_a cleanness_n yet_o a_o day_n will_v come_v when_o all_o this_o will_v be_v lay_v aside_o and_o forget_v i_o forget_v prosperity_n say_v david_n and_o in_o another_o place_n he_o compare_v himself_o to_o the_o dead_a that_o be_v forget_v for_o ever_o how_o have_v christ_n once_o his_o disciple_n about_o he_o and_o ready_a to_o his_o command_n when_o he_o send_v out_o the_o seventy_o two_o by_o two_o and_o now_o to_o be_v leave_v of_o all_o and_o not_o one_o to_o stand_v by_o he_o this_o be_v a_o hard_a trial_n and_o if_o it_o be_v not_o hide_v from_o the_o soul_n if_o it_o can_v foresee_v what_o a_o day_n of_o scatter_v of_o all_o its_o good_a and_o labour_n will_v come_v upon_o it_o as_o though_o they_o have_v not_o be_v it_o will_v discourage_v and_o make_v it_o flag_n in_o all_o its_o act_n for_o god_n if_o it_o think_v such_o a_o day_n of_o strip_v all_o be_v to_o come_v they_o pierce_v my_o hand_n and_o my_o foot_n say_v christ_n his_o hand_n that_o have_v labour_v in_o the_o truth_n and_o his_o foot_n that_o have_v run_v the_o way_n of_o his_o commandment_n these_o be_v now_o nail_v fast_o to_o the_o cross_n and_o he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o stir_v they_o the_o day_n will_v come_v when_o your_o soul_n will_v hate_v all_o the_o labour_n you_o have_v take_v under_o the_o sun_n when_o that_o straight_o shall_v be_v upon_o you_o to_o cry_v out_o my_o god_n my_o god_n why_o have_v thou_o forsake_v i_o mark_v what_o i_o say_v for_o the_o day_n will_v sure_o come_v upon_o you_o and_o then_o all_o your_o work_n and_o labour_n my_o acquaintance_n into_o darkness_n 6._o another_o misery_n great_a than_o all_o be_v this_o his_o father_n hide_v his_o face_n from_o he_o he_o seem_v to_o forsake_v he_o and_o become_v a_o enemy_n that_o he_o cry_v out_o my_o god_n my_o god_n etc._n etc._n my_o god_n he_o can_v yet_o say_v but_o not_o my_o father_n he_o have_v hide_v himself_o from_o the_o house_n of_o jacob_n all_o the_o bowel_n be_v hide_v but_o why_o must_v this_o befall_v christ_n that_o his_o father_n leave_v he_o 1._o he_o hide_v himself_o that_o he_o may_v not_o see_v the_o death_n of_o his_o child_n the_o
