drive_v at_o but_o as_o you_o have_v yet_o produce_v no_o scripture_n proof_n for_o the_o maintenance_n of_o your_o assertion_n of_o this_o kind_n but_o gen._n 17._o 9_o so_o i_o have_v already_o prove_v that_o those_o word_n concern_v the_o natural_a posterity_n of_o abraham_n only_o and_o though_o abraham_n be_v in_o covenant_n be_v a_o sufficient_a ground_n for_o he_o at_o the_o command_n of_o god_n to_o put_v the_o sign_n of_o it_o upon_o his_o off_a spring_n also_o whether_o believer_n or_o no_o yet_o it_o be_v express_o require_v that_o the_o person_n to_o be_v baptise_a be_v of_o either_o be_v no_o other_o than_o to_o cross_v the_o gospel_n rule_n and_o i_o can_v never_o yet_o meet_v with_o two_o rule_n in_o reference_n to_o baptism_n one_o relate_v to_o infant_n and_o another_o to_o those_o of_o age_n but_o that_o which_o relate_v to_o the_o adult_n only_o and_o consequent_o unto_o such_o alone_a as_o be_v capable_a of_o the_o term_n which_o the_o gospel_n now_o require_v and_o indeed_o if_o it_o be_v grant_v that_o the_o believe_a gentile_n be_v intend_v as_o the_o proper_a subject_n of_o the_o obligation_n mention_v gen._n 17._o 9_o yet_o you_o can_v from_o those_o word_n substantial_o prove_v that_o the_o infant_n seed_n of_o believer_n be_v to_o be_v baptise_a with_o their_o parent_n for_o there_o god_n only_o say_v thou_o shall_v keep_v my_o covenant_n therefore_o thou_o and_o thy_o seed_n after_o thou_o in_o their_o generation_n and_o that_o be_v all_o there_o be_v no_o mention_n in_o that_o text_n of_o put_v the_o sign_n on_o their_o child_n also_o as_o be_v the_o case_n in_o abraham_n time_n it_o be_v true_a by_o the_o seed_n there_o speak_v of_o you_o understand_v the_o spiritual_a seed_n in_o the_o gospel-day_n and_o by_o keep_v the_o covenant_n you_o understand_v their_o keep_n it_o in_o the_o proper_a sign_n of_o it_o belong_v to_o the_o gospel_n that_o be_v baptism_n but_o where_o lie_v the_o ground_n for_o infant_n baptism_n in_o all_o this_o for_o if_o we_o exempt_v abraham_n as_o not_o be_v at_o all_o concern_v in_o the_o gospel_n obligation_n which_o you_o say_v be_v there_o intend_a and_o allow_v that_o it_o have_v relation_n only_o to_o the_o spiritual_a seed_n in_o the_o gospel-day_n let_v those_o then_o that_o be_v such_o when_o they_o desire_v it_o be_v baptise_a but_o be_v there_o a_o word_n or_o
