which_o be_v thing_n better_o than_o all_o that_o be_v before_o mention_v such_o with_o respect_n to_o their_o profession_n and_o general_a assent_n to_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n etc._n etc._n be_v say_v to_o believe_v for_o a_o time_n and_o perseverance_n be_v the_o great_a touchstone_n of_o sincerity_n the_o interest_n of_o person_n in_o christ_n be_v oft_o refer_v thereto_o with_o respect_n to_o the_o manifestation_n and_o proof_n thereof_o so_o in_o heb._n 3._o 6._o and_o those_o text_n cite_v by_o mr._n c._n if_o person_n hold_v fast_o their_o rejoice_v of_o hope_n and_o that_o speak_v of_o their_o be_v shut_v out_o from_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n and_o the_o like_a the_o other_o of_o those_o that_o speak_v of_o their_o be_v cast_v into_o a_o lake_n that_o burn_v with_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n their_o be_v torment_a day_n and_o night_n etc._n etc._n but_o that_o there_o be_v any_o part_n of_o their_o punishment_n which_o be_v not_o penal_a and_o that_o this_o punishment_n of_o loss_n be_v to_o be_v distinguish_v from_o that_o which_o be_v so_o be_v such_o a_o contradiction_n as_o i_o think_v be_v peculiar_a to_o mr._n collier_n who_o have_v here_o furnish_v we_o with_o this_o distinction_n thus_o we_o may_v see_v the_o beginning_n of_o the_o word_n of_o his_o mouth_n be_v foolishness_n and_o the_o end_n of_o his_o talk_n be_v like_a to_o the_o subject_n of_o they_o and_o their_o duration_n who_o shall_v be_v punish_v with_o everlasting_a destruction_n from_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o power_n 2_o to_o their_o purgatory_n and_o it_o must_v be_v acknowledge_v their_o reason_n from_o it_o have_v as_o much_o probability_n as_o mr._n collier_n though_o both_o they_o and_o he_o do_v miserable_o intimate_v yet_o neither_o will_v this_o relieve_v he_o for_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o the_o blot_n out_o of_o the_o sin_n of_o believer_n at_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n and_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o then_o the_o sentence_n by_o which_o they_o be_v now_o absolve_v will_v be_v publish_v before_o man_n and_o angel_n and_o they_o possess_v of_o the_o utmost_a advantage_n accrue_v to_o they_o by_o their_o pardon_n so_o then_o declarative_o they_o be_v forgive_v in_o another_o world_n but_o none_o have_v or_o can_v have_v a_o interest_n in_o this_o forgiveness_n but_o those_o that_o have_v repent_v and_o be_v convert_v in_o this_o world_n act._n 3._o 19_o 20_o indeed_o if_o we_o allow_v mr._n c._n this_o notion_n that_o sinner_n shall_v be_v forgive_v after_o they_o be_v damn_v we_o must_v grant_v he_o more_o than_o what_o he_o yet_o open_o plead_v for_o viz._n that_o they_o shall_v not_o only_o be_v deliver_v from_o the_o positive_a part_n of_o their_o punishment_n but_o the_o negative_a also_o for_o he_o who_o sin_n be_v forgive_v be_v a_o bless_a man_n and_o certain_o interest_v in_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n but_o it_o be_v in_o vain_a to_o expect_v that_o notion_n so_o may_v not_o suppose_v the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n first_o or_o last_o to_o be_v without_o repentance_n it_o seem_v then_o that_o the_o forgiveness_n in_o another_o work_n which_o mr._n collier_n his_o patience_n then_o which_o supposition_n nothing_o can_v be_v more_o false_a and_o repugnant_a to_o the_o scripture_n now_o be_v the_o accept_a time_n now_o be_v the_o day_n of_o salvation_n and_o if_o poor_a sinner_n do_v not_o seek_v the_o lord_n while_o he_o may_v be_v find_v and_o call_v upon_o he_o while_o he_o be_v near_o isa_n 55._o 6._o it_o will_v be_v too_o late_o in_o another_o
