other_o love_v of_o the_o world_n fear_v of_o death_n and_o desire_n of_o diversion_n from_o the_o thought_n of_o it_o luxury_n intemperance_n ambition_n covetousness_n neglect_n and_o forgetfulness_n and_o a_o low_a esteem_n of_o god_n the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o our_o duty_n 2._o adversity_n as_o sickness_n and_o disease_n poverty_n loss_n of_o friend_n and_o estate_n public_a or_o private_a disturbance_n or_o calamity_n and_o the_o like_a and_o though_o oftentimes_o these_o be_v occasion_v by_o the_o evil_a or_o malignant_a world_n yet_o many_o time_n they_o seem_v to_o come_v accidental_o and_o be_v apt_a to_o breed_v impatience_n discontent_n unquietness_n of_o mind_n distrust_v of_o providence_n murmur_a envy_n at_o the_o external_a felicity_n of_o other_o and_o that_o faith_n let_v he_o know_v that_o the_o abundance_n of_o wealth_n honour_n power_n friend_n applause_n success_n as_o they_o last_v no_o long_o than_o this_o short_a transitory_a life_n and_o therefore_o can_v make_v up_o his_o happiness_n no_o nor_o give_v a_o man_n a_o ease_n or_o rescue_v from_o a_o fit_a of_o the_o stone_n or_o colic_n so_o there_o be_v a_o everlasting_a state_n of_o happiness_n or_o misery_n that_o must_v attend_v every_o man_n after_o death_n and_o on_o the_o one_o hand_n all_o the_o glory_n and_o splendour_n and_o happiness_n that_o this_o inferior_a world_n can_v afford_v be_v nothing_o in_o comparison_n of_o that_o glory_n that_o shall_v be_v reveal_v to_o and_o enjoy_v by_o they_o that_o believe_v and_o obey_v 1._o nothing_o in_o respect_n of_o its_o duration_n if_o a_o man_n shall_v live_v a_o thousand_o year_n yet_o that_o must_v have_v a_o end_n and_o the_o very_a pre-apprehension_n of_o a_o end_n be_v enough_o to_o dash_v and_o blast_v and_o thing_n hope_v for_o and_o the_o evidence_n of_o thing_n not_o see_v and_o therefore_o by_o a_o kind_n of_o anticipation_n give_v a_o presence_n to_o the_o soul_n of_o those_o future_a joy_n render_v the_o best_a happiness_n this_o world_n below_o can_v yield_v but_o languid_a and_o poor_a like_o the_o light_n of_o a_o candle_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o sun_n on_o the_o other_o side_n the_o misery_n that_o after_o death_n attend_v the_o misspend_v present_a life_n over-ballanceth_a all_o the_o good_a that_o this_o life_n can_v yield_v both_o in_o its_o degree_n and_o duration_n and_o therefore_o with_o the_o pre-apprehension_n of_o it_o it_o sour_v and_o allay_v all_o the_o good_a that_o be_v in_o the_o great_a happiness_n of_o this_o life_n 4._o faith_n do_v assute_n every_o 2._o a_o vain_a foolish_a conceit_n that_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o latter_a end_n be_v a_o kind_n of_o presage_n and_o invitation_n of_o it_o and_o upon_o this_o account_n i_o have_v know_v many_o superstitious_o and_o foolish_o to_o forbear_v the_o make_n of_o their_o will_n because_o it_o seem_v to_o they_o ominous_a and_o a_o presage_n of_o death_n whereas_o this_o consideration_n though_o it_o fit_v and_o prepare_v man_n for_o death_n it_o do_v no_o way_n hasten_v or_o presage_v it_o 3._o a_o great_a difficulty_n that_o ordinary_o attend_v our_o humane_a condition_n to_o we_o shall_v die_v and_o hence_o it_o be_v true_a as_o the_o common_a proverb_n be_v that_o there_o be_v no_o man_n so_o old_a but_o he_o think_v he_o shall_v live_v a_o year_n long_o it_o be_v true_a this_o be_v the_o way_n of_o mankind_n to_o put_v far_o from_o we_o the_o evil_a day_n and_o the_o thought_n of_o it_o but_o this_o our_o way_n be_v our_o folly_n and_o one_o of_o the_o great_a occasion_n of_o those_o other_o folly_n that_o common_o attend_v our_o life_n and_o therefore_o the_o great_a mean_n to_o care_v this_o folly_n and_o to_o make_v we_o wise_a be_v wise_o to_o consider_v our_o latter_a end_n this_o wisdom_n appear_v in_o those_o excellent_a effect_n it_o produce_v which_o be_v general_o these_o two_o 1._o it_o teach_v we_o to_o live_v well_o 2._o it_o
