will_v transform_v we_o with_o our_o contemplation_n let_v we_o join_v this_o kind_n of_o reason_v god_n so_o hate_a pride_n that_o he_o become_v humble_a to_o the_o death_n of_o the_o cross_n to_o redeem_v i_o from_o it_o and_o shall_v i_o be_v proud_a and_o when_o we_o be_v stir_v up_o to_o revenge_n consider_v that_o christ_n pray_v for_o his_o enemy_n when_o we_o be_v tempt_v to_o his_o remembrance_n he_o be_v a_o comforter_n bring_v to_o mind_n useful_a thing_n at_o such_o time_n when_o we_o have_v most_o need_n of_o the._n those_o that_o care_v not_o for_o the_o word_n of_o god_n reject_v their_o comfort_n all_o comfort_n must_v be_v draw_v out_o of_o the_o scripture_n which_o be_v the_o breast_n of_o consolation_n many_o be_v breed_v up_o by_o education_n that_o they_o see_v spiritual_a thing_n experimental_o but_o though_o they_o know_v these_o thing_n in_o the_o brain_n yet_o secret_o intheir_o heart_n they_o make_v a_o scorn_n e_o of_o conversion_n &_o mortification_n and_o though_o for_o his_o call_n he_o may_v speak_v of_o these_o thing_n excellent_o and_o with_o admiration_n yet_o in_o particular_a he_o have_v no_o power_n of_o they_o in_o his_o heart_n it_o be_v good_a and_o comfortable_a to_o compare_v our_o condition_n with_o the_o condition_n of_o the_o man_n of_o the_o world_n for_o howsoever_o they_o may_v excel_v in_o riches_n and_o learning_n yet_o we_o have_v cause_n to_o bless_v god_n as_o christ_n say_v in_o the_o 11._o of_o saint_n matthew_n 25._o i_o thank_v thou_o o_o father_n lord_n of_o heaven_n and_o earth_n because_o thou_o have_v hide_v these_o thing_n from_o the_o wise_a and_o prudent_a and_o have_v reveal_v they_o unto_o babe_n it_o be_v good_a in_o all_o outward_a discouragement_n when_o thing_n go_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o all_o be_v in_o he_o prayer_n be_v a_o vent_n of_o our_o desire_n to_o god_n from_o the_o sense_n of_o our_o own_o want_n and_o he_o that_o be_v sensible_a of_o his_o own_o want_n be_v empty_a a_o poor_a man_n speak_v supplication_n it_o be_v not_o so_o easy_a a_o matter_n to_o pray_v as_o man_n think_v and_o that_o in_o regard_n of_o the_o unspiritualnesse_n of_o our_o nature_n compare_v with_o the_o duty_n itself_o which_o be_v to_o draw_v near_o to_o a_o holy_a god_n we_o can_v endure_v to_o sever_v ourselves_o from_o our_o lust_n there_o be_v also_o a_o great_a rebellion_n in_o our_o heart_n against_o any_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a satan_n also_o be_v a_o special_a enemy_n for_o when_o we_o go_v to_o god_n by_o prayer_n he_o know_v we_o go_v to_o fetch_v help_n and_o strength_n against_o he_o and_o therefore_o he_o oppose_v all_o he_o can_v but_o though_o many_o man_n do_v mumble_v over_o a_o few_o prayer_n yet_o indeed_o no_o man_n can_v pray_v as_o he_o ought_v but_o he_o that_o be_v within_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n a_o child_n of_o god_n may_v pray_v and_o not_o be_v hear_v because_o at_o that_o time_n he_o may_v be_v a_o child_n of_o anger_n if_o any_o sin_n lie_v unrepented_a of_o we_o be_v not_o in_o a_o case_n fit_a to_o pray_v will_v a_o king_n regard_v the_o petition_n of_o a_o traitor_n that_o purpose_v to_o go_v on_o in_o
