imagination_n produce_v not_o the_o least_o change_n in_o the_o nature_n of_o thing_n but_o that_o proceed_n from_o a_o deep_a root_n must_v fetch_v its_o rise_n from_o a_o strong_a influence_n i_o it_o and_o those_o who_o be_v loose_a from_o all_o bond_n can_v hardly_o be_v draw_v to_o believe_v any_o yoke_n so_o easy_a or_o necessary_a as_o to_o be_v willing_a to_o put_v their_o neck_n under_o it_o what_o shall_v i_o say_v when_o shall_v the_o work_n of_o vain_a man_n come_v to_o a_o end_n when_o shall_v his_o spirit_n be_v true_o break_v his_o break_n hitherto_o tend_v but_o to_o fasten_v he_o more_o and_o make_v he_o take_v deep_a root_n o_o how_o mad_a be_v man_n grow_v now_o adays_o through_o the_o depth_n of_o his_o wisdom_n what_o a_o strange_a peace_n security_n and_o liberty_n have_v he_o find_v out_o for_o himself_o he_o have_v build_v up_o such_o a_o wall_n of_o defence_n now_o as_o there_o be_v no_o batter_v of_o but_o if_o his_o eye_n be_v sick_a if_o the_o light_n in_o he_o be_v darkness_n how_o thick_a that_o darkness_n be_v and_o whither_o it_o will_v lead_v he_o that_o which_o be_v sound_a and_o perfect_a can_v alone_o discern_v but_o for_o his_o part_n he_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o perceive_v any_o thing_n true_o in_o his_o distemper_n yet_o this_o calamity_n be_v common_a in_o this_o empty_a state_n of_o man_n he_o that_o be_v most_o distemper_a be_v most_o prone_a to_o judge_v even_o the_o great_a thing_n with_o the_o great_a confidence_n who_o shall_v we_o find_v more_o confident_a than_o he_o who_o be_v most_o deep_o gross_o and_o palpable_o deceive_v in_o his_o very_a groundwork_n i_o have_v not_o here_o venture_v upon_o a_o â—ain_n or_o over_o difficult_a task_n in_o the_o nature_n of_o thing_n but_o only_o in_o reference_n to_o the_o condition_n in_o common_a creature_n a_o knowledge_n of_o reason_n in_o the_o natural_a man_n a_o knowledge_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o the_o spiritual_a man_n for_o in_o the_o renew_a man_n there_o be_v a_o renew_a spirit_n which_o have_v a_o knowledge_n suitable_a to_o itself_o and_o a_o knowledge_n of_o god_n in_o the_o godhead_n god_n have_v a_o knowledge_n in_o himself_o as_o well_o as_o a_o life_n love_n wisdom_n power_n suitable_a to_o himself_o again_o there_o be_v a_o speculative_a knowledge_n and_o a_o experimental_a knowledge_n a_o knowledge_n by_o understanding_n and_o a_o knowledge_n by_o experience_n a_o knowledge_n by_o view_v the_o thing_n and_o a_o knowledge_n by_o try_v the_o thing_n this_o experimental_a knowledge_n be_v the_o better_a kind_n of_o knowledge_n in_o this_o uncertain_a state_n wherein_o we_o be_v but_o the_o other_o be_v the_o better_a in_o its_o own_o nature_n it_o be_v better_a by_o virtue_n of_o a_o clear_a understanding_n to_o search_v into_o the_o nature_n of_o thing_n then_o to_o seek_v out_o a_o experiment_n of_o they_o from_o sense_n

which_o be_v hold_v forth_o to_o the_o jew_n and_o that_o which_o in_o be_v bring_v forth_o in_o the_o jew_n they_o have_v a_o life_n they_o in_o and_z by_o virtue_n of_o that_o their_o dispensation_n thing_n more_o be_v force_v as_o it_o be_v upon_o it_o so_o that_o it_o can_v but_o admit_v it_o yet_o upon_o advantage_n of_o the_o disappear_v of_o that_o power_n or_o of_o the_o increase_n of_o its_o own_o strength_n it_o soon_o thrust_v it_o out_o again_o and_o the_o light_n of_o god_n sow_o in_o the_o gentile_n can_v live_v then_o neither_o for_o that_o be_v but_o the_o spirit_n of_o man_n also_o and_o though_o the_o spirit_n of_o man_n be_v raise_v a_o little_a high_o by_o a_o high_a light_n &_o communication_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n and_o thereby_o become_v much_o more_o change_v even_o into_o a_o spiritual_o glorious_a estate_n and_o condition_n yet_o remain_v still_o himself_o at_o bottom_n he_o will_v spew_v up_o all_o again_o at_o last_o and_o return_v unto_o himself_o this_o new_a people_n of_o god_n the_o gentile_n do_v as_o natural_o slide_v back_o from_o their_o life_n from_o their_o god_n from_o their_o christ_n as_o ever_o the_o jew_n do_v so_o that_o this_o can_v be_v the_o stand_a people_n no_o more_o than_o the_o other_o it_o require_v great_a cost_n to_o bring_v either_o of_o these_o people_n to_o any_o thing_n but_o with_o much_o ease_n at_o any_o time_n they_o either_o of_o they_o slide_v back_o from_o that_o which_o they_o be_v wind_v up_o unto_o by_o the_o mighty_a power_n and_o presence_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o lord_n so_o that_o mark_v now_o this_o convert_v gentile_a this_o transplant_v gentile_a must_v needs_o fall_v from_o the_o truth_n he_o be_v not_o enter_v deep_o enough_o into_o the_o root_n nor_o have_v not_o depth_n enough_o in_o he_o to_o receive_v the_o root_n so_o that_o this_o present_a station_n of_o he_o in_o the_o root_n with_o the_o present_a union_n and_o communion_n between_o they_o by_o virtue_n of_o the_o present_a dispensation_n by_o which_o he_o be_v as_o it_o be_v wind_v up_o out_o of_o himself_o and_o his_o own_o nature_n into_o this_o must_v needs_o vanish_v in_o time_n the_o ground_n which_o be_v not_o prepare_v by_o the_o spirit_n and_o nature_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o so_o make_v good_a in_o itself_o can_v always_o retain_v and_o give_v nourishment_n to_o the_o seed_n of_o god_n be_v wonderful_a beauty_n in_o the_o nature_n visage_n and_o in_o all_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o life_n and_o spirit_n of_o christ_n his_o faith_n his_o love_n his_o sweetness_n meekness_n patience_n etc._n etc._n o_o how_o resplendent_a all_o that_o be_v beautiful_a in_o man_n he_o have_v in_o he_o after_o a_o much_o more_o lovely_a manner_n and_o a_o peculiar_a beauty_n of_o his_o own_o beside_o and_o so_o his_o majesty_n be_v also_o far_o great_a man_n in_o all_o his_o majesty_n can_v but_o admire_v at_o and_o bow_v before_o the_o majesty_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o person_n word_n and_o gesture_n he_o appear_v like_o one_o of_o another_o region_n he_o speak_v with_o another_o manner_n of_o spirit_n and_o in_o such_o a_o way_n as_o be_v suitable_a to_o the_o majesty_n of_o his_o own_o spirit_n he_o teach_v as_o one_o have_v authority_n and_o though_o he_o be_v exceed_v full_a of_o love_n and_o tenderness_n yet_o his_o majesty_n keep_v his_o disciple_n so_o in_o awe_n that_o they_o dare_v not_o ask_v he_o any_o question_n but_o very_o humble_o and_o with_o great_a fear_n and_o reverence_n the_o wisdom_n also_o of_o christ_n do_v far_o transcend_v the_o wisdom_n of_o man._n the_o through_o his_o flesh_n all_o they_o that_o see_v i_o laugh_v i_o to_o scorn_v there_o be_v nothing_o feel_v great_a contempt_n nor_o more_o universal_a then_o christ_n in_o his_o death_n the_o eye_n in_o their_o spirit_n this_o be_v the_o man_n that_o trust_v on_o god_n for_o deliverance_n this_o be_v that_o great_a and_o glorious_a life_n which_o come_v from_o god_n which_o so_o depend_v upon_o god_n which_o be_v so_o sure_a to_o be_v secure_v by_o god_n the_o wisdom_n of_o man_n shall_v fall_v the_o strength_n of_o man_n shall_v fall_v but_o he_o shall_v be_v preserve_v and_o deliver_v by_o
