as_o he_o can_v see_v he_o he_o go_v to_o meet_v he_o and_o stay_v not_o for_o his_o come_n nigh_a hence_o learn_v god_n be_v very_o ready_a to_o show_v mercy_n to_o everytrie_fw-fr penitent_n so_o say_v the_o prophet_n esay_n he_o be_v very_o ready_a to_o forgive_v those_o title_n give_v he_o for_o his_o name_n testify_v as_o much_o the_o lord_n the_o lord_n strong_a merciful_a and_o gracious_a etc._n etc._n the_o reason_n be_v these_o first_o because_o man_n be_v the_o workmanship_n of_o god_n own_o hand_n and_o therefore_o he_o be_v the_o more_o ready_a and_o willing_a to_o save_v he_o a_o three_o reason_n may_v be_v this_o because_o none_o may_v despair_v of_o his_o mercy_n he_o be_v ready_a to_o show_v mercy_n that_o by_o the_o example_n of_o such_o as_o have_v find_v mercy_n other_o goad_n in_o our_o side_n to_o make_v we_o turn_v unto_o he_o and_o seek_v for_o mercy_n at_o his_o hand_n he_o will_v not_o be_v want_v to_o thou_o if_o thou_o be_v not_o want_v to_o thyself_o the_o last_o use_n may_v serve_v for_o imitation_n let_v we_o be_v like_a to_o our_o heavenly_a father_n and_o be_v as_o ready_a to_o forgive_v other_o who_o have_v offend_v we_o as_o god_n be_v to_o that_o the_o sun_n be_v a_o most_o glorious_a bright_a greature_n when_o he_o himself_o do_v not_o see_v it_o so_o what_o be_v it_o for_o a_o man_n to_o know_v there_o be_v much_o love_n hide_v in_o god_n except_o he_o have_v some_o sense_n and_o feel_n of_o it_o now_o to_o the_o use_v and_o first_o be_v this_o so_o that_o god_n do_v not_o only_a love_n and_o inward_o affect_v his_o child_n but_o do_v also_o manifest_a the_o same_o by_o sign_n and_o token_n that_o they_o may_v be_v out_o of_o doubt_n thereof_o then_o this_o may_v serve_v to_o confute_v that_o doctrine_n of_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n who_o hold_v that_o no_o man_n can_v be_v certain_o assure_v of_o the_o love_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n he_o may_v hope_v well_o and_o so_o forth_o but_o no_o man_n can_v have_v any_o assure_a confidence_n what_o be_v this_o but_o a_o rack_n and_o torment_n to_o weak_a conscience_n what_o do_v this_o but_o extinguish_v the_o truth_n and_o sincerity_n both_o of_o faith_n and_o love_n towards_o god_n what_o fruit_n bring_v this_o but_o impatiency_n in_o time_n of_o trouble_n and_o persecution_n and_o indeed_o make_v a_o way_n for_o desperation_n of_o god_n mercy_n second_o let_v this_o stir_v up_o every_o one_o of_o we_o to_o a_o diligent_a examination_n of_o ourselves_o whether_o god_n have_v as_o yet_o kiss_v we_o with_o the_o kiss_n of_o his_o mouth_n whether_o he_o have_v as_o yet_o manifest_v his_o love_n unto_o we_o by_o sign_n and_o token_n for_o till_o we_o have_v assurance_n hereof_o what_o comfort_n can_v we_o have_v and_o in_o the_o last_o place_n this_o may_v serve_v for_o the_o great_a comfort_n of_o all_o such_o as_o have_v god_n love_v manifest_v unto_o they_o by_o the_o former_a sign_n for_o as_o the_o terror_n be_v great_a which_o that_o man_n have_v in_o his_o conscience_n who_o be_v in_o doubt_n of_o the_o love_n of_o the_o almighty_a towards_o he_o so_o be_v the_o comfort_n as_o great_a which_o that_o man_n have_v who_o be_v hereof_o persuade_v for_o come_v tribulation_n or_o distress_n or_o persecution_n or_o famine_n or_o nakedness_n or_o peril_n

the_o manner_n how_o and_o that_o be_v with_o exaggeration_n against_o heaven_n etc._n etc._n humiliation_n and_o be_o no_o more_o worthy_a etc._n etc._n the_o reason_n of_o this_o point_n be_v these_o first_o god_n can_v in_o justice_n forgive_v except_o we_o make_v our_o confession_n unto_o he_o if_o we_o confess_v our_o sin_n he_o be_v faithful_a and_o just_a to_o forgive_v we_o our_o sin_n say_v st._n john_n but_o if_o there_o be_v no_o confession_n than_o there_o be_v no_o promise_n how_o can_v god_n then_o without_o violate_v his_o truth_n show_v mercy_n unto_o such_o and_o therefore_o say_v solomon_n he_o that_o hide_v his_o sin_n shall_v not_o prosper_v but_o whoso_o confess_v and_o forsake_v they_o shall_v have_v mercy_n such_o a_o one_o then_o as_o do_v thus_o thus_o out_o of_o the_o abundance_n of_o the_o heart_n will_v the_o tongue_n speak_v as_o christ_n say_v these_o may_v be_v the_o reason_n the_o use_v follow_v and_o first_o see_v this_o be_v so_o that_o whosoever_o will_v have_v pardon_n of_o sin_n must_v confess_v the_o same_o this_o serve_v to_o reprove_v such_o as_o look_v for_o pardon_n on_o god_n part_n but_o will_v bring_v no_o confession_n for_o their_o part_n be_v this_o so_o that_o there_o be_v no_o remission_n where_o there_o be_v no_o confession_n then_o let_v this_o admonish_v every_o one_o that_o desire_v to_o have_v their_o sin_n remit_v to_o see_v that_o they_o be_v true_o and_o unfeigned_o confess_v conceal_v they_o not_o hide_v they_o not_o excuse_v they_o not_o defend_v they_o not_o and_o above_o all_o take_v heed_n of_o glory_v in_o they_o seek_v not_o with_o achan_n to_o hide_v that_o curse_a thing_n it_o will_v prove_v thy_o overthrow_n be_v not_o secretary_n to_o the_o devil_n it_o be_v no_o good_a office_n conceal_v not_o that_o which_o god_n command_v thou_o to_o make_v know_v sin_n that_o be_v smother_v will_v in_o the_o end_n fester_v unto_o death_n remember_v remission_n be_v promise_v but_o upon_o condition_n of_o confession_n suffer_v then_o no_o sin_n to_o go_v unconfess_v which_o thou_o will_v not_o have_v to_o go_v unpardoned_a and_o so_o i_o pass_v from_o this_o to_o a_o three_o use_v which_o be_v for_o our_o direction_n for_o must_v confession_n go_v before_o remission_n then_o let_v every_o one_o look_v that_o as_o they_o confess_v so_o they_o make_v a_o upright_a confession_n many_o have_v confess_v yet_o find_v small_a comfort_n as_o pharaoh_n saul_n and_o judas_n with_o many_o more_o if_o therefore_o we_o will_v speed_v better_o than_o they_o do_v we_o must_v look_v that_o our_o confession_n be_v better_a than_o they_o be_v father_n here_o we_o see_v to_o who_o he_o make_v confession_n it_o be_v not_o to_o the_o servant_n nor_o to_o his_o brother_n but_o to_o his_o father_n hence_o learn_v confession_n of_o sin_n must_v be_v make_v unto_o the_o lord_n i_o acknowledge_v say_v david_n my_o sin_n unto_o the_o lord_n the_o reason_n be_v these_o sin_n and_o none_o but_o he_o it_o pertain_v only_o unto_o god_n to_o say_v i_o have_v pardon_v i_o will_v not_o destroy_v and_o last_o confession_n of_o sin_n be_v a_o special_a part_n of_o divine_a worship_n now_o god_n will_v not_o give_v his_o glory_n to_o another_o he_o will_v not_o have_v any_o part_n stake_v with_o he_o thou_o shall_v worship_v the_o lord_n thy_o god_n and_o he_o only_o to_o he_o who_o thou_o have_v much_o dishonour_v against_o heaven_n and_o in_o thy_o sight_n he_n do_v not_o mince_v and_o extenuate_v the_o matter_n he_o say_v not_o father_n i_o have_v sin_v but_o i_o have_v no_o bad_a meaning_n i_o know_v not_o what_o i_o do_v neither_o do_v he_o plead_v the_o instability_n of_o his_o youth_n to_o extenuate_v his_o fault_n but_o he_o aggravate_v and_o glory_n and_o his_o own_o soul_n health_n now_o we_o know_v how_o ready_a we_o be_v to_o speak_v the_o worst_a we_o can_v of_o those_o who_o be_v enemy_n unto_o we_o and_o to_o set_v forth_o their_o vile_a practice_n to_o the_o uttermost_a thus_o the_o hatred_n he_o bear_v unto_o sin_n cause_v he_o to_o think_v that_o he_o can_v never_o sufficient_o display_v it_o and_o make_v he_o so_o dispose_v as_o that_o no_o malicious_a wicked_a man_n can_v so_o set_v forth_o the_o fault_n of_o his_o enemy_n who_o he_o deadly_a hate_n as_o he_o desire_v to_o set_v forth_o the_o loathsomeness_n of_o his_o
