easy_o believe_v he_o it_o be_v no_o wonder_n they_o make_v it_o the_o work_n of_o their_o life_n to_o feather_n their_o nest_n and_o make_v provision_n for_o the_o flesh_n and_o then_o complain_v that_o they_o be_v loath_a to_o leave_v those_o nest_n that_o they_o have_v be_v feather_v so_o long_o and_o loath_a to_o scatter_v all_o the_o heap_n and_o treasure_n which_o they_o have_v be_v gather_v and_o do_v you_o think_v that_o gather_v it_o be_v the_o way_n to_o make_v you_o willing_a to_o leave_v it_o man_n load_v themselves_o with_o the_o lumber_n and_o baggage_n of_o the_o world_n and_o then_o complain_v that_o they_o can_v travel_v on_o their_o journey_n but_o have_v rather_o sit_v down_o they_o fall_v a_o building_n they_o habitation_n in_o their_o way_n when_o they_o shall_v have_v none_o but_o inn_n or_o tent_n and_o when_o they_o have_v bestow_v all_o their_o time_n and_o cost_n and_o charge_n on_o they_o they_o complain_v of_o their_o heart_n for_o be_v loath_a to_o leave_v they_o such_o mad_a do_n as_o these_o be_v not_o the_o way_n to_o be_v willing_a to_o die_v to_o provide_v for_o self_n and_o flesh_n in_o your_o life-time_n be_v not_o the_o way_n to_o deny_v your_o life_n sir_n the_o way_n be_v this_o if_o you_o will_v learn_v it_o and_o stick_v not_o at_o the_o cost_n and_o trouble_v self_n must_v be_v here_o strip_v naked_a of_o all_o its_o carnal_a comfort_n so_o that_o it_o shall_v have_v nothing_o leave_v o_o fly_v to_o or_o trust_v upon_o nor_o nothing_o lest_o tâ—at_v it_o can_v take_v delight_n in_o &_o then_o it_o will_v away_o if_o you_o will_v drive_v ouâ—â—n_o ill_a tenant_n you_o will_v cast_v out_o all_o their_o good_n and_o leave_v they_o nothing_o but_o the_o bare_a wall_n and_o not_o so_o much_o as_o a_o bed_n to_o lie_v on_o and_o uncover_v the_o house_n over_o their_o head_n and_o then_o they_o will_v be_v go_v so_o if_o you_o cast_v out_o all_o your_o sensual_a commodity_n and_o delight_n that_o when_o the_o flesh_n look_v about_o it_o shall_v see_v nothing_o but_o the_o bare_a wall_n and_o can_v find_v a_o rest_a place_n than_o death_n will_v be_v less_o grievous_a and_o less_o unwelcome_a or_o rather_o indeed_o even_o the_o flesh_n and_o self_n must_v be_v mortify_v and_o in_o the_o sense_n in_o which_o it_o must_v be_v deny_v it_o must_v have_v no_o be_v or_o life_n that_o be_v as_o it_o be_v withdraw_v from_o its_o subordination_n to_o god_n and_o then_o there_o will_v be_v nothing_o to_o rise_v up_o against_o your_o submission_n to_o death_n though_o nature_n as_o nature_n will_v keep_v you_o from_o love_a death_n as_o death_n yet_o be_v but_o self-denial_n perfect_a there_o will_v be_v nothing_o to_o keep_v you_o from_o submit_v to_o it_o and_o desire_v to_o pass_v through_o it_o to_o immortality_n o_o that_o you_o will_v but_o try_v such_o a_o self-denying_a life_n and_o you_o will_v certain_o die_v a_o easy_a comfortable_a death_n direct_v 4._o suffer_v not_o unworthy_a thought_n of_o god_n to_o abide_v in_o your_o soul_n think_v not_o of_o his_o infinite_a love_n and_o goodness_n with_o doubtfulness_n or_o diminution_n you_o will_v never_o be_v willing_a to_o come_v to_o god_n while_o you_o think_v of_o he_o as_o cruel_a or_o as_o a_o despiser_n of_o his_o creature_n or_o unwilling_a to_o do_v good_n but_o when_o once_o you_o think_v of_o he_o as_o the_o sure_a great_a good_a and_o your_o fast_o friend_n and_o the_o most_o lovely_a object_n that_o can_v be_v conceive_v of_o and_o these_o thought_n be_v deep_a and_o wrought_v into_o the_o very_a nature_n of_o your_o soul_n than_o you_o will_v be_v ready_a more_o cheerful_o to_o die_v no_o man_n can_v love_v the_o presence_n of_o a_o tyrant_n or_o a_o enemy_n or_o of_o he_o that_o be_v so_o far_o above_o he_o that_o there_o be_v no_o communion_n with_o he_o to_o be_v have_v if_o you_o entertain_v such_o blasphemous_a thought_n of_o god_n you_o be_v unlikely_a ever_o to_o desire_v his_o presence_n see_v you_o think_v as_o honourable_o and_o magnificent_o of_o the_o goodness_n and_o love_n of_o god_n as_o you_o do_v of_o his_o knowledge_n or_o his_o power_n and_o as_o you_o will_v abhor_v any_o extenuate_a conception_n of_o the_o one_o so_o do_v of_o the_o other_o and_o then_o the_o loveliness_n and_o glory_n of_o his_o face_n will_v draw_v out_o your_o desire_n and_o make_v you_o long_o to_o be_v with_o god_n direct_v 5._o and_o by_o such_o mean_n as_o this_o aforesaid_a labour_v to_o bring_v up_o your_o soul_n to_o live_v in_o the_o love_n of_o god_n it_o be_v love_n that_o be_v the_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a nature_n in_o we_o and_o therefore_o must_v needs_o incline_v we_o heavenward_n the_o nature_n of_o love_n be_v to_o long_o after_o communion_n with_o he_o that_o we_o love_v the_o more_o love_n the_o more_o of_o god_n in_o the_o soul_n and_o the_o more_o desire_n after_o god_n this_o be_v the_o grace_n that_o must_v live_v for_o ever_o and_o therefore_o bend_v towards_o the_o place_n of_o its_o perfection_n it_o be_v want_n of_o love_n to_o god_n that_o make_v most_o of_o we_o so_o content_v to_o be_v from_o he_o strengthen_v and_o exercise_v all_o other_o know_v they_o all_o in_o god_n himself_o who_o be_v more_o than_o all_o study_n and_o admire_v he_o in_o the_o course_n of_o providence_n study_n and_o admire_v he_o in_o the_o person_n of_o christ_n willing_a to_o come_v to_o he_o and_o to_o submit_v to_o death_n direct_v 8._o live_v also_o in_o the_o daily_a exercise_n of_o holy_a joy_n and_o praise_n to_o god_n which_o be_v the_o heavenly_a employment_n for_o if_o you_o use_v yourselves_o to_o this_o heavenly_a life_n it_o will_v much_o incline_v you_o to_o desire_v to_o be_v there_o exercise_v fear_n and_o godly_a sorrow_n and_o care_n take_v up_o in_o the_o love_n and_o joy_n and_o praise_n of_o the_o lord_n among_o all_o his_o holy_a saint_n and_o angel_n in_o the_o heavenly_a jerusalem_n you_o must_v by_o the_o exercise_n of_o faith_n and_o love_n in_o holy_a meditation_n and_o prayer_n even_o dwell_v in_o the_o spirit_n and_o converse_v in_o heaven_n while_o your_o body_n be_v on_o earth_n if_o you_o will_v entertain_v
