then_o follow_v the_o second_o point_n which_o be_v faith_n in_o second_o christ_n that_o be_v when_o you_o believe_v most_o steadfast_o and_o undoubted_o that_o god_n the_o heavenly_a father_n through_o his_o son_n will_v deliver_v you_o from_o your_o sin_n when_o you_o believe_v i_o say_v that_o the_o blood_n of_o our_o saviour_n be_v shed_v for_o you_o for_o the_o cleanse_n and_o put_v away_o of_o your_o sin_n and_o believe_v this_o most_o steadfast_o with_o a_o unfeigned_a heart_n than_o you_o have_v the_o second_o point_n the_o three_o point_n be_v three_o when_o you_o have_v a_o earnest_a desire_n to_o amendment_n and_o hatred_n against_o sin_n study_v to_o live_v after_o god_n will_v and_o commandment_n as_o much_o as_o be_v possible_a for_o you_o to_o do_v then_o have_v these_o three_o thing_n in_o your_o heart_n than_o you_o may_v be_v sure_a that_o your_o name_n be_v write_v in_o the_o book_n and_o you_o may_v be_v sure_a also_o that_o you_o be_v elect_v and_o predestinate_a to_o everlasting_a life_n and_o again_o when_o you_o see_v not_o your_o wickedness_n and_o that_o sin_n grieve_v you_o not_o neither_o have_v you_o faith_n or_o hope_v in_o our_o saviour_n and_o therefore_o be_v careless_a and_o study_v not_o for_o amendment_n of_o life_n than_o you_o be_v in_o a_o heavy_a god_n case_n and_o than_o you_o have_v cause_n to_o cry_v and_o lament_v your_o wretchedness_n for_o true_o you_o be_v not_o in_o the_o book_n of_o life_n but_o the_o devil_n have_v power_n over_o you_o as_o long_o as_o you_o be_v in_o such_o a_o state_n here_o you_o see_v now_o how_o you_o shall_v try_v yourselves_o whether_o you_o be_v in_o the_o book_n of_o life_n or_o no_o etc._n etc._n and_o again_o the_o evangelist_n say_v he_o when_o jesus_n be_v boat_n great_a and_o small_a vessel_n upon_o the_o sea_n be_v saviour_n for_o they_o save_v we_o from_o the_o fury_n rage_n and_o tempest_n of_o the_o sea_n so_o judge_n be_v saviour_n for_o they_o therefore_o come_v to_o jesus_n which_o be_v the_o right_n and_o true_a saviour_n and_o he_o it_o be_v that_o saviour_n have_v save_v we_o from_o sin_n who_o have_v he_o save_v his_o people_n how_o save_v he_o they_o first_o by_o magistrate_n he_o save_v the_o poor_a from_o oppression_n and_o wrong_v the_o child_n he_o save_v through_o the_o tuition_n of_o the_o we_o parent_n from_o danger_n and_o peril_n by_o physician_n he_o save_v from_o sickness_n and_o disease_n but_o from_o sin_n he_o save_v only_o through_o his_o passion_n and_o bloodshedding_n therefore_o he_o may_v be_v call_v and_o be_v the_o very_a salvation_n right_a saviour_n for_o it_o be_v he_o that_o save_v from_o all_o infelicity_n all_o his_o faithful_a people_n and_o his_o salvation_n be_v sufficient_a to_o satisfy_v for_o all_o the_o world_n as_o concern_v itself_o but_o as_o concern_v we_o he_o save_v no_o more_o but_o such_o as_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o he_o and_o as_o many_o as_o believe_v in_o he_o shall_v be_v save_v the_o other_o shall_v be_v cast_v out_o as_o infidel_n into_o everlasting_a damnation_n not_o for_o lack_v of_o salvation_n but_o for_o infidelity_n dam_n and_o lack_v of_o faith_n which_o be_v the_o only_a cause_n of_o their_o damnation_n he_o save_v we_o from_o what_o even_o from_o sin_n now_o when_o he_o save_v we_o from_o sin_n than_o he_o save_v we_o from_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n from_o affliction_n and_o calamity_n from_o hell_n and_o death_n and_o from_o damnation_n and_o everlasting_a pain_n for_o sin_n be_v the_o cause_n and_o fountain_n of_o all_o mischief_n take_v away_o sin_n than_o all_o other_o calamity_n wherein_o mankind_n be_v wrap_v be_v take_v away_o and_o clean_o go_v and_o disperse_v therefore_o he_o save_v we_o from_o sin_n save_v we_o from_o all_o affliction_n but_o how_o do_v he_o save_v we_o from_o sin_n in_o this_o manner_n that_o sin_n shall_v not_o condemn_v we_o sin_n sinne._n shall_v not_o have_v the_o victory_n over_o we_o he_o save_v we_o not_o so_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v without_o sin_n that_o no_o sin_n shall_v be_v leave_v in_o our_o heart_n no_o he_o save_v we_o not_o so_o for_o all_o manner_n of_o imperfection_n remain_v in_o we_o yea_o in_o the_o best_a of_o we_o so_o that_o if_o god_n shall_v enter_v into_o judgement_n with_o we_o we_o shall_v all_o be_v damn_v for_o there_o be_v more_o nor_o ever_o be_v any_o man_n bear_v into_o this_o world_n which_o can_v say_v i_o be_o clean_a from_o sin_n except_o jesus_n christ_n therefore_o he_o save_v sin_n we_o not_o from_o sin_n in_o take_v clean_o away_o the_o same_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v incline_v unto_o it_o but_o rather_o the_o power_n and_o strength_n of_o the_o same_o sin_n he_o have_v so_o vanquish_v that_o it_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o condemn_v those_o which_o believe_v in_o he_o for_o sin_n be_v remit_v and_o not_o impute_v unto_o the_o believer_n so_o likewise_o he_o save_v we_o from_o sin_n not_o take_v
