but_o also_o in_o consideration_n of_o this_o his_o present_a state_n he_o grow_v to_o a_o great_a mislike_n and_o severe_a censure_v of_o himself_o and_o thus_o or_o in_o some_o such_o like_a sort_n he_o reason_v within_o himself_o say_v if_o i_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n himself_o the_o weak_a christian_n manner_n of_o accuse_v and_o condemn_v himself_o if_o i_o be_v one_o of_o his_o servant_n have_v i_o taste_v of_o his_o spirit_n which_o be_v the_o earnest_a penny_n of_o salutation_n then_o sure_o i_o shall_v find_v myself_o more_o affect_v and_o better_o mind_v unto_o goodness_n i_o shall_v then_o be_v repentant_a for_o my_o sin_n and_o loath_a and_o detest_v my_o former_a wickedness_n i_o shall_v then_o more_o delight_n in_o goodness_n and_o godliness_n than_o i_o do_v but_o now_o alas_o i_o see_v i_o be_o a_o silly_a and_o sinful_a castaway_n in_o who_o abide_v no_o goodness_n and_o therefore_o i_o be_o a_o enemy_n to_o god_n and_o reprobate_v from_o grace_n and_o mercy_n thus_o whether_o they_o consider_v their_o life_n past_a or_o present_a view_n and_o behold_v themselves_o either_o within_o or_o without_o still_o satan_n that_o subtle_a serpent_n and_o roar_a lion_n be_v ready_a to_o trump_n something_o in_o their_o way_n whereby_o to_o make_v they_o stumble_v and_o fall_v sickness_n weak_a christian_n resemble_v to_o little_a child_n or_o man_n weaken_v by_o sickness_n by_o which_o his_o do_n no_o marvel_n though_o many_o time_n he_o much_o prevail_v now_o these_o weak_a christian_n be_v like_o the_o little_a child_n that_o have_v learn_v but_o of_o late_a to_o go_v or_o resemble_v those_o that_o have_v be_v great_o weaken_v with_o some_o continual_a and_o excessive_a sickness_n who_o be_v new_o come_v abroad_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o great_a infirmity_n be_v not_o able_a to_o make_v a_o steadfast_a step_n but_o be_v ready_a to_o stumble_v in_o the_o plain_a path_n so_o these_o either_o babe_n in_o faith_n and_o such_o as_o be_v but_o new_o enter_v to_o walk_v in_o christ_n or_o else_o weaken_v great_o with_o the_o continual_a and_o dangerous_a assault_n of_o sin_n and_o satan_n be_v not_o able_a to_o overstryde_v these_o stumble_a block_n of_o temptation_n which_o by_o the_o enemy_n be_v continual_o cast_v in_o their_o way_n chap._n iii_o of_o the_o second_o or_o assistant_n cause_n of_o a_o trouble_a conscience_n beside_o the_o aforesaid_a principal_n and_o inherent_a cause_n increase_v other_o mean_n whereby_o the_o extremity_n of_o
understand_v that_o he_o that_o will_v go_v to_o heaven_n for_o the_o most_o part_n must_v pass_v by_o hell_n gate_n that_o be_v through_o the_o gulf_n of_o deep_a despair_n other_o the_o conversion_n of_o some_o be_v much_o more_o quiet_a and_o free_a from_o struggle_v than_o other_o for_o though_o some_o i_o grant_v may_v seem_v to_o have_v a_o quiet_a conversion_n and_o a_o easy_a travel_n in_o their_o regeneration_n yet_o other_o no_o doubt_v with_o much_o struggle_n and_o great_a difficulty_n do_v attain_v the_o same_o so_o that_o as_o the_o woman_n that_o with_o great_a pain_n and_o much_o ado_n have_v deliverance_n of_o the_o burden_n of_o her_o womb_n seem_v to_o hazard_v both_o herself_o and_o the_o fruit_n of_o her_o womb_n also_o so_o he_o that_o thus_o travel_v and_o labour_v in_o his_o new_a birth_n till_o faith_n be_v full_o frame_v in_o he_o in_o struggle_v against_o sin_n be_v oftentimes_o cumber_v with_o such_o bitter_a and_o sharp_a combat_n that_o he_o think_v himself_o to_o be_v in_o extreme_a danger_n and_o judge_v his_o tender_a youngling_n faith_n to_o be_v dead_a indeed_o and_o to_o be_v as_o you_o will_v say_v none_o at_o all_o because_o he_o find_v and_o feel_v not_o a_o present_a and_o evident_a motion_n of_o life_n appear_v in_o it_o in_o this_o sort_n of_o man_n so_o distrustful_a of_o themselves_o etc._n the_o cause_n be_v a_o suspicion_n of_o the_o want_n of_o faith_n etc._n etc._n the_o cause_n as_o i_o have_v often_o find_v it_o of_o this_o distrust_n and_o suspicion_n of_o the_o want_n of_o faith_n be_v the_o lack_n of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o course_n and_o order_n that_o god_n take_v and_o use_v in_o our_o regeneration_n which_o be_v first_o to_o humble_v we_o that_o he_o may_v exalt_v we_o and_o to_o abase_v we_o in_o the_o sight_n of_o our_o infirmity_n that_o afterward_o step_v by_o step_n in_o his_o time_n appoint_v he_o may_v raise_v we_o up_o again_o unto_o a_o undoubted_a trust_n and_o assure_a hope_n in_o he_o wherefore_o that_o the_o remedy_n against_o this_o distrustful_a wound_n of_o despair_n may_v be_v the_o better_o prepare_v let_v we_o first_o consider_v the_o course_n and_o order_n of_o god_n vocation_n in_o single_v out_o those_o from_o the_o world_n in_o his_o time_n who_o he_o before_o all_o time_n in_o his_o eternal_a purpose_n have_v ordain_v and_o appoint_v unto_o life_n in_o this_o course_n and_o order_n of_o god_n vocation_n wherein_o the_o course_n and_o order_n of_o god_n call_v to_o be_v consider_v 1._o the_o time_n wherein_o we_o be_v first_o to_o mark_v and_o consider_v well_o the_o time_n wherein_o he_o do_v vouchsafe_v to_o call_v for_o we_o must_v observe_v that_o he_o call_v not_o all_o at_o once_o and_o at_o one_o instant_a together_o but_o he_o call_v some_o soon_o some_o late_a some_o in_o the_o morning_n even_o in_o their_o infancy_n and_o prime_n of_o year_n some_o about_o the_o three_o hour_n and_o in_o their_o youthful_a day_n some_o at_o the_o sixth_o hour_n even_o in_o their_o strength_n and_o manhood_n but_o other_o again_o at_o the_o sunset_n as_o it_o be_v and_o decline_v of_o the_o day_n even_o when_o they_o grow_v near_o zacheus_n and_o infinite_a other_o record_v in_o the_o scripture_n but_o the_o thief_n on_o the_o cross_n 23._o luke_n 23._o though_o by_o the_o course_n of_o nature_n he_o may_v have_v continue_v a_o long_a time_n yet_o have_v his_o call_n when_o as_o the_o sun_n of_o life_n be_v almost_o set_v and_o night_n of_o death_n begin_v to_o arise_v upon_o he_o this_o manner_n and_o order_n god_n have_v and_o still_o do_v use_v not_o that_o he_o be_v not_o of_o power_n to_o alter_v and_o change_v the_o same_o but_o because_o it_o be_v his_o own_o will_n and_o in_o this_o do_v we_o must_v mark_v he_o do_v not_o so_o much_o respect_n what_o he_o can_v do_v but_o rather_o what_o be_v most_o convenient_a for_o the_o better_a manifestation_n of_o his_o mercy_n and_o the_o advancement_n of_o his_o glory_n in_o the_o vocation_n and_o call_v of_o his_o elect_n and_o choose_v and_o therefore_o some_o he_o quick_o prevent_v with_o his_o grace_n some_o again_o he_o suffer_v to_o run_v a_o long_a time_n in_o the_o race_n of_o wickedness_n and_o to_o wallow_v and_o soil_n themselves_o in_o the_o beastly_a sink_n of_o sin_n and_o yet_o afterward_o reclaim_v they_o home_o unto_o himself_o that_o so_o in_o both_o he_o may_v declare_v and_o show_v forth_o the_o bottomless_a depth_n of_o his_o exceed_a love_n and_o favour_n towards_o those_o which_o be_v he_o from_o the_o which_o difference_n of_o time_n in_o god_n call_v and_o regeneration_n of_o his_o choose_a child_n arise_v this_o general_a doctrine_n of_o exceed_a comfort_n that_o no_o man_n castaway_n no_o man_n can_v certain_o conclude_v against_o himself_o that_o he_o be_v a_o castaway_n of_o what_o estate_n so_o ever_o he_o be_v can_v at_o any_o time_n in_o regard_n of_o his_o suppose_a defect_n of_o faith_n peremptory_o conclude_v against_o himself_o his_o own_o damnation_n and_o say_v of_o a_o certainty_n that_o he_o be_v sure_o a_o castaway_n and_o a_o reprobate_n for_o ever_o no_o though_o for_o the_o time_n he_o seem_v to_o himself_o to_o be_v as_o it_o be_v not_o only_o to_o be_v new_o enter_v but_o even_o to_o have_v some_o long_a time_n continue_v in_o the_o state_n of_o reprobation_n for_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o be_v in_o man_n judgement_n in_o the_o state_n of_o reprobation_n and_o another_o by_o god_n decree_n of_o predestination_n to_o be_v a_o reprobate_n and_o one_o that_o be_v for_o ever_o castaway_n for_o the_o very_a elect_a and_o choose_a child_n of_o god_n if_o we_o respect_v only_o the_o outward_a appearance_n and_o will_n be_v ready_a to_o give_v out_o our_o sentence_n &_o judgement_n thereby_o until_o such_o time_n as_o they_o be_v regenerate_v effectual_o call_v and_o bear_v again_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v in_o the_o state_n of_o reprobation_n that_o be_v to_o be_v such_o as_o for_o the_o present_n have_v go_v further_o nor_o make_v any_o further_a progress_n in_o the_o way_n of_o life_n then_o have_v he_o which_o be_v a_o reprobate_n indeed_o and_o for_o this_o cause_n they_o may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o darkness_n and_o to_o be_v alien_n stranger_n yea_o enemy_n to_o god_n but_o on_o the_o other_o side_n if_o we_o have_v respect_n unto_o the_o certainty_n and_o truth_n of_o god_n decree_n which_o stand_v firm_a and_o sure_a for_o ever_o they_o can_v in_o no_o wise_n be_v say_v to_o be_v so_o reprobate_v and_o quite_o cast_v away_o from_o the_o hope_n of_o grace_n because_o that_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o say_a decree_n they_o be_v choose_v and_o elect_a vessel_n unto_o life_n and_o such_o as_o shall_v be_v partaker_n of_o mercy_n though_o as_o yet_o the_o fruit_n thereof_o in_o the_o grace_n of_o their_o regeneration_n do_v not_o begin_v to_o work_v and_o be_v effectual_a within_o they_o so_o that_o though_o in_o the_o secrecy_n of_o god_n decree_n there_o be_v a_o distinction_n and_o difference_n make_v and_o some_o be_v vessel_n of_o mercy_n prepare_v unto_o honour_n some_o vessel_n of_o wrath_n appoint_v unto_o dis-honour_n some_o be_v to_o be_v partaker_n of_o life_n eternal_a some_o contrariwise_o to_o be_v partaker_n of_o death_n everlasting_a yet_o to_o the_o judgement_n of_o man_n within_o himself_o until_o such_o time_n as_o he_o be_v regenerate_v and_o have_v the_o testimony_n of_o the_o spirit_n to_o testify_v and_o avouch_v unto_o his_o heart_n and_o conscience_n though_o he_o be_v in_o the_o secret_a purpose_n elect_v yet_o for_o the_o time_n i_o say_v he_o shall_v find_v small_a or_o no_o difference_n betwixt_o himself_o and_o those_o that_o be_v reprobate_n indeed_o even_o in_o the_o foreknowledge_n and_o counsel_n of_o god_n which_o indifferency_n of_o the_o estate_n of_o the_o elect_a and_o reprobate_n before_o the_o time_n of_o regeneration_n join_v with_o the_o uncertain_a and_o unknown_a time_n of_o the_o lord_n call_v be_v a_o great_a reason_n why_o that_o though_o the_o man_n regenerate_v and_o renew_a may_v be_v assure_v
of_o his_o salvation_n yet_o may_v he_o not_o in_o defect_n of_o faith_n and_o other_o grace_n of_o regeneration_n conclude_v his_o own_o condemnation_n and_o say_v that_o he_o be_v for_o ever_o reprobate_v and_o castaway_n for_o that_o he_o have_v yet_o a_o time_n and_o space_n to_o live_v be_v it_o never_o so_o short_a a_o moment_n the_o lord_n may_v therein_o call_v he_o home_o and_o gather_v he_o unto_o himself_o the_o child_n can_v say_v that_o he_o be_v condemn_v because_o he_o have_v not_o faith_n because_o that_o when_o he_o come_v to_o man_n estate_n the_o gift_n of_o faith_n may_v be_v impart_v unto_o he_o neither_o he_o that_o be_v at_o man_n estate_n because_o that_o in_o his_o old_a age_n he_o may_v be_v receive_v neither_o yet_o he_o who_o old_a age_n have_v weary_v because_o that_o if_o in_o health_n he_o find_v it_o not_o yet_o in_o the_o last_o hour_n and_o upon_o his_o deathbed_n the_o lord_n may_v bestow_v the_o same_o upon_o he_o and_o supply_v his_o want_n wherefore_o see_v that_o our_o vocation_n and_o effectual_a call_n though_o in_o secret_a knowledge_n of_o god_n it_o be_v certain_o date_v in_o respect_n of_o we_o be_v most_o uncertain_a whether_o it_o shall_v be_v when_o we_o be_v young_a or_o when_o we_o be_v old_a whether_o this_o day_n or_o the_o next_o this_o month_n or_o the_o next_o year_n sure_o the_o state_n of_o the_o present_a time_n wherein_o we_o find_v and_o feel_v ourselves_o can_v be_v no_o sufficient_a argument_n to_o reason_n and_o conclude_v of_o that_o which_o we_o can_v tie_v or_o limit_v unto_o no_o certain_a time_n at_o all_o for_o what_o reason_n i_o pray_v you_o be_v it_o for_o a_o man_n to_o say_v i_o have_v live_v these_o twelve_o or_o fourteen_o year_n and_o yet_o be_o not_o call_v and_o therefore_o i_o be_o a_o castaway_n or_o i_o have_v live_v twenty_o thirty_o or_o forty_o year_n and_o yet_o i_o find_v no_o faith_n and_o therefore_o i_o be_o condemn_v or_o i_o be_o old_a weary_a weak_a sick_a and_o feeble_a i_o do_v look_v every_o hour_n to_o die_v i_o be_o uncertain_a of_o my_o life_n for_o a_o hour_n or_o a_o minute_n of_o a_o hour_n such_o be_v my_o infirmity_n and_o yet_o i_o find_v no_o comfort_n of_o my_o call_v and_o therefore_o i_o shall_v not_o be_v call_v at_o all_o as_o though_o god_n be_v bind_v of_o duty_n to_o order_v thing_n according_a to_o our_o prescription_n or_o that_o either_o he_o be_v not_o able_a or_o else_o be_v unwilling_a at_o the_o last_o gasp_n to_o give_v unto_o thou_o great_a mercy_n and_o more_o evident_a testimony_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o favour_n towards_o thou_o than_o he_o do_v all_o thy_o life_n before_o let_v not_o any_o man_n presume_v to_o prescribe_v unto_o the_o lord_n what_o he_o shall_v do_v or_o in_o what_o time_n and_o manner_n he_o shall_v do_v any_o thing_n his_o own_o wisdom_n and_o his_o own_o will_n and_o power_n be_v sufficient_a in_o this_o behalf_n neither_o let_v any_o man_n whartle_v at_o and_o why_o out_o the_o case_n with_o god_n say_v why_o do_v he_o thus_o defer_v the_o time_n and_o put_v off_o the_o comfort_n of_o his_o elect_a and_o choose_v it_o be_v not_o meet_v that_o the_o servant_n shall_v pry_v so_o far_o into_o the_o closet_n of_o his_o master_n secret_n and_o who_o can_v reach_v or_o who_o be_v able_a or_o meet_a to_o search_v out_o the_o depth_n of_o his_o eternal_a counsel_n rather_o lay_v thy_o hand_n upon_o thy_o mouth_n with_o modesty_n and_o be_v it_o soon_o or_o be_v it_o late_o do_v thou_o still_o obedient_o depend_v upon_o the_o lord_n good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n which_o then_o shall_v take_v effect_n when_o as_o it_o seem_v to_o his_o wisdom_n most_o convenient_a be_v it_o therefore_o grant_v which_o be_v so_o much_o presume_v in_o the_o waver_a and_o doubt_v soul_n that_o it_o be_v for_o the_o present_a utter_o destitute_a and_o have_v no_o faith_n at_o all_o yet_o this_o be_v no_o reason_n for_o a_o man_n to_o prove_v himself_o a_o reprobate_n because_o that_o no_o man_n in_o such_o a_o case_n can_v in_o this_o life_n peremptory_o conclude_v that_o he_o be_v a_o castaway_n as_o have_v be_v before_o show_v though_o on_o the_o contrary_a the_o man_n regenerate_v may_v be_v certain_o assure_v of_o his_o salvation_n even_o while_o he_o continue_v in_o this_o life_n second_o the_o manner_n of_o our_o vocation_n both_o in_o respect_n of_o god_n work_v call_v the_o manner_n of_o our_o call_v and_o our_o feel_n must_v be_v next_o consider_v for_o the_o ignorance_n hereof_o make_v many_o even_o in_o the_o very_a work_n and_o spring_n of_o life_n most_o of_o all_o to_o dread_v and_o stand_v in_o fear_n of_o death_n and_o in_o the_o very_a breed_n of_o faith_n to_o call_v in_o question_n and_o stand_v in_o doubt_n of_o the_o want_n of_o faith_n we_o must_v therefore_o here_o note_n and_o mark_n that_o god_n work_v herein_o but_o not_o in_o all_o man_n alike_o for_o though_o some_o rather_o than_o other_o have_v and_o find_v more_o quick_a and_o cheerful_a conversion_n in_o that_o they_o find_v not_o such_o troublesome_a conflict_n within_o themselves_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o shortness_n of_o the_o time_n yet_o other_o he_o lead_v on_o soft_o and_o step_v by_o step_n as_o it_o be_v in_o the_o work_n of_o their_o conversion_n so_o that_o they_o may_v seem_v to_o put_v a_o great_a difference_n and_o a_o long_a pause_n betwixt_o the_o two_o several_a and_o general_a point_n in_o their_o regeneration_n that_o be_v their_o humiliation_n in_o regard_n of_o sin_n and_o of_o the_o law_n and_o their_o exaltation_n in_o regard_n of_o faith_n and_o feel_v of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n in_o christ_n this_o humiliation_n therefore_o rest_v a_o long_a time_n in_o the_o sinful_a soul_n humiliation_n humiliation_n do_v breed_v the_o great_a conflict_n and_o bring_v forth_o a_o far_o strong_a combat_n because_o the_o time_n and_o space_n be_v great_a wherein_o he_o have_v to_o consider_v of_o the_o fearful_a and_o dangerous_a condition_n of_o his_o own_o estate_n be_v thus_o as_o be_v say_v humble_v in_o regard_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o law_n and_o the_o reason_n be_v first_o because_o that_o the_o man_n so_o humble_v do_v not_o remember_v reason_n 1._o reason_n that_o god_n thus_o work_v in_o his_o servant_n by_o degree_n and_o not_o all_o at_o one_o time_n and_o in_o one_o instant_a object_n and_o thereupon_o the_o trouble_a soul_n be_v ready_a to_o object_n and_o allege_v i_o have_v be_v and_o continue_v a_o long_a time_n under_o the_o fearful_a curse_n and_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n by_o reason_n of_o my_o great_a wickedness_n and_o my_o soul_n be_v humble_v and_o abase_v even_o unto_o the_o hell_n and_o yet_o i_o find_v or_o feel_v no_o comfort_n and_o therefore_o sure_o my_o case_n be_v hard_a and_o dangerous_a and_o i_o can_v be_v none_o other_o but_o a_o castaway_n answ_n this_o reason_n or_o rather_o objection_n be_v of_o some_o force_n indeed_o if_o it_o can_v be_v certain_o prove_v that_o god_n effect_v all_o at_o once_o and_o that_o he_o never_o put_v any_o time_n and_o distance_n betwixt_o these_o two_o point_n of_o man_n conversion_n namely_o his_o humble_v and_o his_o exaltation_n but_o see_v that_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o there_o be_v a_o time_n betwixt_o his_o wound_a and_o cure_v his_o strike_n and_o heal_v his_o abase_v and_o raise_v up_o again_o it_o may_v very_o well_o be_v answer_v to_o the_o cheer_v and_o refresh_v of_o the_o break_a and_o contrite_a soul_n that_o this_o reason_n can_v be_v in_o any_o part_n sufficient_a to_o breed_v in_o any_o despair_n though_o satan_n set_v never_o so_o fair_a and_o goodly_a a_o gloss_n upon_o it_o and_o therefore_o whensoever_o satan_n begin_v to_o assault_v and_o set_v upon_o any_o man_n in_o this_o manner_n let_v the_o person_n so_o assault_v cast_v up_o the_o eye_n of_o his_o mind_n &_o fix_v his_o meditation_n upon_o this_o course_n of_o god_n which_o he_o use_v in_o man_n conversion_n and_o learn_v withal_o to_o put_v in_o practice_n the_o rule_n of_o david_n a_o man_n after_o god_n own_o heart_n hope_v in_o the_o lord_n 27.14_o psal_n 27.14_o expect_v his_o leisure_n and_o he_o shall_v comfort_v thy_o heart_n object_n but_o hereupon_o the_o trouble_a person_n so_o disquiet_v in_o mind_n will_v gather_v and_o say_v unto_o i_o how_o can_v these_o despair_n and_o faith_n terror_n of_o wrath_n and_o peace_n of_o conscience_n fear_v of_o judgement_n and_o hope_n of_o mercy_n agree_v together_o be_v in_o nature_n and_o in_o effect_n so_o contrary_a and_o repugnant_a the_o one_o to_o the_o other_o this_o appear_v to_o be_v a_o thing_n impossible_a for_o as_o these_o three_o latter_o that_o be_v faith_n peace_n and_o hope_n
to_o walk_v in_o righteousness_n but_o now_o lest_o that_o in_o give_v sentence_n and_o judgement_n upon_o this_o sorrow_n we_o shall_v be_v deceive_v it_o be_v here_o again_o to_o be_v call_v to_o mind_n which_o have_v before_o be_v somewhat_o touch_v viz._n that_o sorow_v for_o sin_n be_v prove_v to_o be_v of_o two_o sort_n one_o proper_a to_o the_o elect_a of_o god_n and_o the_o other_o to_o the_o reprobate_n for_o it_o be_v manifest_a that_o even_o these_o i_o mean_v such_o as_o have_v be_v evident_o prove_v reprobate_n have_v be_v find_v to_o have_v have_v a_o certain_a sorrow_n sigh_v and_o mourn_v in_o they_o as_o do_v appear_v by_o the_o example_n of_o cain_n saul_n ahab_n and_o judas_n and_o yet_o nothing_o partaker_n but_o clean_o void_a of_o that_o true_a repentance_n which_o have_v be_v find_v in_o the_o godly_a sort_n and_o choose_a people_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o this_o sorrow_n of_o such_o wicked_a one_o be_v the_o same_o which_o before_o be_v mention_v to_o have_v his_o original_n only_o from_o the_o law_n of_o god_n without_o any_o taste_n or_o touch_v of_o the_o gospel_n but_o that_o other_o sorrow_n which_o we_o use_v in_o this_o place_n as_o a_o mark_n of_o true_a repentance_n and_o which_o i_o account_v as_o the_o forerunner_n of_o repentance_n be_v only_o incident_a and_o do_v proper_o appertain_v to_o the_o elect_a and_o choose_a of_o the_o lord_n and_o be_v find_v to_o have_v a_o far_o further_a step_n than_o have_v the_o former_a and_o therefore_o lest_o we_o deceive_v ourselves_o herein_o as_o hypocrite_n often_o do_v let_v we_o in_o a_o word_n or_o two_o as_o brief_o as_o we_o may_v observe_v the_o difference_n betwixt_o these_o two_o kind_n of_o sorrow_n this_o counterfeit_a and_o hypocritical_a sorrow_n sorrow_n counterf_n it_o and_o hypocritical_a sorrow_n which_o as_o i_o say_v be_v find_v in_o hypocrite_n arise_v from_o the_o law_n and_o that_o only_a in_o consideration_n of_o the_o heavy_a and_o terrible_a judgement_n in_o the_o same_o denounce_v against_o the_o transgressor_n thereof_o and_o hereupon_o it_o be_v that_o they_o mourn_v and_o sigh_v only_o for_o that_o they_o see_v and_o perceive_v themselves_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o great_a sin_n and_o wiekedness_n by_o force_n and_o by_o the_o sentence_n of_o the_o law_n to_o be_v bring_v into_o a_o dangerous_a or_o a_o damnable_a estate_n but_o as_o for_o the_o sin_n itself_o which_o by_o they_o be_v commit_v day_n by_o day_n although_o it_o be_v in_o the_o proper_a nature_n thereof_o never_o so_o filthy_a or_o abominable_a yet_o do_v they_o not_o mourn_v for_o it_o but_o remain_v still_o in_o they_o with_o as_o great_a love_n and_o take_v as_o great_a pleasure_n therein_o and_o have_v as_o great_a a_o desire_n to_o commit_v the_o same_o still_o as_o ever_o they_o have_v at_o any_o time_n before_o so_o small_a a_o alteration_n be_v find_v to_o follow_v in_o they_o upon_o this_o their_o sorrow_n and_o so_o far_o off_o be_v they_o from_o have_v even_o this_o first_o mark_n of_o true_a repentance_n but_o it_o be_v far_o otherwise_o with_o the_o man_n regenerate_v regenerate_v difference_n betwixt_o the_o sorrow_n of_o the_o unregenerate_a and_o regenerate_v for_o although_o his_o sorrow_n begin_v in_o deed_n in_o the_o law_n for_o that_o thereby_o he_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n first_o of_o his_o sin_n and_o second_o of_o the_o heavy_a judgement_n by_o the_o law_n due_a unto_o the_o same_o yet_o do_v not_o his_o sorrow_n there_o stay_v and_o make_v a_o end_n but_o end_v indeed_o in_o the_o gospel_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o he_o be_v find_v to_o be_v sad_a &_o heavy_a not_o only_o in_o respect_n or_o regard_n of_o the_o danger_n whereinto_o by_o sin_n he_o be_v bring_v but_o also_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o sin_n itself_o which_o he_o now_o utter_o hate_v and_o detest_v for_o that_o he_o see_v and_o find_v it_o to_o be_v so_o odious_a and_o loathsome_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n not_o only_o because_o he_o be_v a_o severe_a judge_n ready_a to_o take_v revenge_n for_o the_o breach_n of_o his_o law_n as_o do_v the_o reprobate_n but_o also_o because_o they_o find_v and_o feel_v he_o to_o be_v so_o good_a so_o gracious_a so_o love_v and_o so_o merciful_a a_o father_n against_o who_o he_o so_o ungracious_o and_o unnatural_o like_o a_o rebellious_a child_n have_v transgress_v and_o although_o that_o this_o his_o sorrow_n in_o these_o respect_n be_v find_v and_o prove_v to_o be_v great_a yet_o be_v he_o not_o therein_o leave_v comfortless_a but_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o sorrow_n find_v comfort_n as_o shall_v appear_v hereafter_o again_o this_o sorrow_n proceed_v of_o the_o fear_n of_o punishment_n of_o sin_n by_o the_o law_n bring_v forth_o desperation_n in_o the_o reprobate_n as_o appear_v in_o cain_n and_o judas_n and_o other_o if_o it_o stay_v only_o in_o the_o law_n and_o have_v no_o regard_n unto_o the_o gospel_n for_o the_o law_n bring_v nothing_o else_o but_o terror_n and_o judgement_n the_o law_n indeed_o will_v justify_v and_o upon_o instification_n minister_v unto_o man_n great_a consolation_n but_o it_o must_v in_o all_o point_n according_a to_o the_o purity_n thereof_o be_v fulfil_v which_o we_o through_o our_o weakness_n be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v and_o therefore_o instead_o of_o justify_v we_o reap_v a_o curse_n and_o instead_o of_o consolation_n do_v gain_v sorrow_n which_o sorrow_n be_v wrought_v and_o effect_v in_o the_o heart_n by_o the_o spirit_n indeed_o but_o it_o be_v by_o that_o spirit_n which_o the_o apostle_n call_v the_o spirit_n of_o bondage_n 8._o rom._n 8._o which_o bring_v forth_o nought_o but_o fear_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v by_o the_o same_o apostle_n call_v not_o simple_o a_o sorrow_n but_o a_o a_o kind_n and_o love_a father_n and_o therefore_o if_o at_o any_o time_n he_o afflict_v and_o chastise_v they_o they_o do_v and_o be_v bold_a to_o confess_v the_o same_o also_o that_o he_o do_v it_o much_o deep_a than_o thou_o have_v do_v so_o insatiable_a a_o serpent_n be_v satan_n and_o so_o obstinate_a in_o his_o perverse_a opinion_n that_o nothing_o be_v it_o never_o so_o true_o utter_v can_v satisfy_v he_o and_o content_v he_o for_o although_o this_o which_o have_v be_v say_v concern_v this_o position_n and_o the_o overthrow_n of_o satan_n colour_a reason_n do_v great_o qualify_v and_o allay_v the_o matter_n yet_o through_o satan_n suggestion_n the_o break_a soul_n be_v not_o with_o all_o this_o content_v for_o the_o enemy_n have_v now_o find_v out_o another_o muse_n and_o starting-hole_n to_o avoid_v the_o danger_n of_o this_o sound_a doctrine_n and_o to_o entrap_v the_o weak_a conscience_n who_o death_n he_o greedy_o thirst_v after_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o his_o subtlety_n as_o by_o this_o his_o reason_n do_v appear_v chap._n xxii_o of_o the_o four_o position_n let_v it_o be_v grant_v say_v this_o our_o cruel_a enemy_n that_o many_o of_o god_n elect_n and_o choose_a be_v find_v to_o have_v suffer_v these_o satan_n a_o fresh_a assault_n of_o satan_n and_o such_o like_a affliction_n and_o say_v they_o have_v go_v beyond_o thou_o in_o extremity_n yet_o this_o help_v not_o the_o matter_n neither_o do_v it_o serve_v thy_o purpose_n at_o all_o for_o read_v and_o see_v and_o thou_o shall_v find_v and_o that_o quick_o a_o great_a difference_n for_o possible_a that_o god_n be_v so_o pitiful_a so_o love_v and_o so_o compassionate_a shall_v so_o long_o and_o in_o such_o sort_n defer_v and_o put_v off_o his_o help_a hand_n from_o he_o if_o he_o be_v repute_v in_o the_o number_n of_o god_n elect_n and_o choose_a this_o reason_n of_o satan_n thus_o amplify_v the_o more_o subtle_o that_o it_o be_v by_o he_o couch_v the_o more_o forcible_o it_o prcuail_v with_o the_o weak_a and_o distress_a soul_n to_o the_o dangerous_a overthrow_n thereof_o for_o whereas_o it_o have_v be_v before_o show_v that_o both_o the_o elect_a and_o reprobate_n be_v in_o deed_n partaker_n of_o affliction_n satan_n by_o this_o his_o reason_n will_v persuade_v that_o the_o continuance_n of_o affliction_n in_o respect_n of_o time_n and_o the_o delay_n use_v of_o god_n in_o show_v forth_o his_o help_n be_v undoubted_a difference_n and_o plain_a mark_n whereby_o the_o one_o from_o the_o other_o may_v very_o easy_o be_v discern_v &_o know_v and_o to_o further_a he_o in_o this_o his_o purpose_n he_o take_v no_o small_a advantage_n of_o the_o imbecility_n and_o weakness_n which_o be_v find_v in_o man_n who_o so_o long_o as_o his_o wound_n be_v but_o fresh_a and_o green_a can_v the_o better_o tolerate_v and_o abide_v the_o bear_n of_o they_o because_o he_o conceive_v some_o hope_n of_o some_o quick_a and_o speedy_a deliverance_n but_o when_o after_o long_a expectation_n he_o perceive_v his_o hope_n to_o be_v frustrate_v and_o after_o long_a trial_n see_v he_o can_v find_v no_o ease_n although_o he_o have_v use_v all_o possible_a mean_n for_o the_o same_o than_o he_o begin_v to_o despair_v of_o himself_o and_o to_o make_v a_o question_n and_o doubt_n of_o his_o estate_n wherein_o he_o be_v find_v to_o be_v like_a unto_o a_o sick_a man_n which_o have_v try_v all_o the_o help_n of_o physic_n and_o yet_o find_v no_o help_n for_o the_o cure_n of_o his_o disease_n begin_v then_o to_o distrust_v of_o life_n whereas_o before_o such_o trial_n make_v he_o suspect_v little_a danger_n of_o death_n in_o himself_o to_o prevent_v satan_n of_o his_o purpose_n and_o for_o the_o strengthen_n of_o the_o weak_a christian_a it_o shall_v not_o be_v amiss_o nay_o i_o think_v it_o necessary_a as_o before_o of_o the_o other_o reason_n of_o the_o adversary_n so_o of_o this_o likewise_o to_o show_v the_o weakness_n and_o insufficiency_n that_o it_o be_v know_v we_o may_v see_v and_o perceive_v the_o better_a how_o little_a faith_n be_v to_o be_v give_v to_o his_o persuasion_n in_o which_o do_v as_o a_o counter-blast_n against_o this_o thyself_o to_o his_o good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n abide_v his_o time_n appoint_v and_o that_o with_o patience_n so_o shall_v thou_o at_o the_o last_o find_v and_o taste_v of_o the_o lord_n favour_n to_o thy_o endless_a comfort_n i_o may_v add_v here_o many_o such_o example_n for_o the_o further_o strengthen_v of_o thou_o in_o this_o point_n but_o that_o as_o i_o have_v say_v it_o be_v needless_a of_o our_o help_n and_o deliverance_n and_o by_o this_o rule_n stand_v upon_o these_o four_o point_n we_o shall_v easy_o avoid_v the_o danger_n of_o this_o temptation_n of_o the_o enemy_n oh_o objection_n satan_n objection_n say_v satan_n how_o then_o stand_v this_o with_o the_o nature_n of_o god_n who_o be_v say_v to_o be_v merciful_a love_a and_o compassionate_a unto_o his_o child_n be_v this_o love_n and_o be_v this_o his_o tender_a mercy_n to_o see_v his_o child_n to_o lie_v and_o continue_v thus_o afflict_v to_o hear_v they_o thus_o lamentable_o to_o cry_v for_o help_v and_o in_o objection_n that_o either_o god_n be_v unwilling_a or_o else_o unable_a to_o deliver_v his_o servant_n when_o they_o cry_v unto_o he_o for_o thus_o much_o do_v his_o speech_n concern_v the_o nature_n of_o god_n of_o his_o mercy_n love_n and_o favour_n thus_o we_o may_v now_o see_v how_o great_o god_n our_o most_o love_a father_n and_o satan_n our_o most_o deadly_a and_o pernicious_a enemy_n do_v hence_o the_o elect_a of_o god_n and_o in_o the_o number_n of_o his_o faithful_a servant_n chap._n xxiii_o of_o the_o five_o position_n these_o thing_n be_v thus_o conclude_v as_o we_o have_v answer_v thus_o to_o afflict_v and_o chasten_v for_o this_o serve_v if_o it_o be_v well_o consider_v as_o a_o rein_n to_o hold_v back_o and_o restrain_v the_o violence_n of_o despair_a thought_n when_o as_o cast_v in_o their_o way_n all_o such_o motion_n as_o possible_o he_o can_v to_o drive_v they_o as_o i_o have_v say_v into_o despair_n heerupon_o it_o be_v that_o many_o dangerous_a and_o doubt_a motion_n through_o this_o subtlety_n of_o satan_n do_v arise_v in_o their_o mind_n whether_o they_o be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o god_n child_n &_o member_n of_o christ_n body_n or_o not_o have_v such_o unsavoury_a fruit_n proceed_v from_o they_o these_o thought_n sometime_o in_o many_o of_o they_o by_o the_o crafty_a work_n of_o the_o enemy_n become_v so_o forcible_a that_o they_o be_v as_o soul_n among_o these_o that_o thus_o be_v attendant_a at_o or_o in_o the_o time_n of_o sickness_n the_o physician_n also_o oftentimes_o have_v his_o place_n of_o who_o we_o may_v speak_v concern_v many_o point_n if_o that_o our_o treaty_n be_v general_o respect_v death_n and_o not_o particular_o tie_v unto_o it_o as_o it_o be_v attend_v with_o such_o a_o dangerous_a conflict_n with_o so_o great_a and_o mighty_a enemy_n in_o he_o therefore_o as_o faithfulness_n care_n and_o skill_n be_v requisite_a for_o the_o body_n so_o also_o it_o be_v behooveful_a that_o he_o shall_v be_v such_o a_o one_o as_o can_v withal_o know_v how_o to_o apply_v some_o medicine_n of_o comfort_n unto_o the_o soul_n but_o i_o leave_v these_o and_o come_v now_o unto_o thyself_o to_o show_v what_o be_v requisite_a in_o thou_o in_o these_o extremity_n thou_o have_v all_o thy_o life_n time_n be_v in_o the_o field_n for_o a_o christian_a man_n life_n be_v a_o continual_a warfare_n wherein_o he_o lie_v in_o continual_a leaguer_n against_o the_o devil_n but_o now_o thou_o be_v to_o fight_v a_o pitch_a battle_n wherein_o thy_o enemy_n the_o devil_n have_v muster_v all_o his_o force_n and_o therefore_o have_v enter_v as_o it_o be_v in_o league_n with_o death_n that_o last_o and_o dreadful_a enemy_n to_o fight_v against_o thou_o these_o with_o main_n force_n and_o may_v do_v assault_n thou_o on_o the_o one_o side_n and_o the_o world_n with_o her_o allurement_n lie_v in_o ambush_n on_o the_o other_o side_n with_o her_o subtlety_n to_o deceive_v thou_o neither_o will_v the_o flesh_n be_v idle_a of_o the_o gospel_n of_o peace_n the_o target_n of_o faith_n in_o thy_o left_a hand_n the_o sword_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o thy_o right_a hand_n and_o the_o helmet_n of_o hope_n on_o thy_o head_n and_o over_o all_o these_o see_v there_o be_v cast_v the_o coat_n of_o constancy_n and_o withal_o pray_v continual_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v continual_o assist_v and_o strengthen_v thou_o in_o these_o dangerous_a time_n and_o give_v thou_o good_a success_n against_o thy_o enemy_n second_o let_v all_o thy_o thought_n and_o meditation_n be_v fix_v and_o settle_v upon_o heavenly_a thing_n upon_o those_o unspeakable_a and_o incomprehensible_a joy_n and_o comfort_n of_o the_o life_n to_o come_v and_o therewithal_o also_o upon_o that_o all-sufficient_a sacrifice_n of_o christ_n our_o saviour_n who_o by_o his_o death_n and_o passion_n have_v wash_v and_o redeem_v we_o from_o all_o our_o sin_n subdue_a death_n and_o purchase_v for_o we_o immortal_a and_o everlasting_a life_n three_o take_v heed_n that_o the_o care_n and_o cogitation_n of_o the_o world_n creep_v not_o on_o thou_o but_o cast_v off_o from_o thy_o shoulder_n the_o heavy_a burden_n thereof_o for_o they_o be_v great_a plentiful_a not_o so_o pleasant_a either_o to_o the_o eye_n or_o to_o the_o taste_n and_o that_o in_o the_o small_a store_n of_o fruit_n that_o come_v even_o from_o the_o good_a tree_n many_o be_v great_o spake_v and_o corrupt_a my_o meaning_n be_v that_o even_o the_o person_n regenerate_v and_o the_o elect_a child_n of_o god_n may_v have_v what_o do_v i_o say_v may_v have_v nay_o have_v indeed_o many_o such_o time_n during_o their_o continuance_n in_o this_o earthly_a and_o corrupt_a tabernacle_n wherein_o the_o flesh_n get_v something_o the_o better_a and_o preeminence_n over_o the_o spirit_n make_v they_o to_o bring_v forth_o many_o unsavoury_a and_o loathsome_a fruit_n as_o we_o find_v by_o the_o example_n of_o noah_n lot_n david_n and_o peter_n and_o other_o which_o be_v record_v to_o fall_v into_o great_a and_o grievous_a sin_n and_o although_o this_o be_v so_o true_a that_o it_o may_v not_o be_v gainsaid_a yet_o these_o unsavoury_a fruit_n and_o such_o like_a appear_v sometime_o in_o the_o elect_a of_o god_n can_v hinder_v any_o thing_n at_o all_o but_o that_o these_o good_a effect_n and_o fruit_n i_o speak_v of_o when_o they_o do_v appear_v and_o show_v themselves_o in_o the_o upright_o order_v of_o our_o life_n and_o conversation_n may_v give_v their_o testimony_n and_o assurance_n and_o may_v witness_v unto_o we_o as_o the_o scripture_n teach_v that_o we_o be_v the_o choose_a and_o elect_a of_o god_n and_o thus_o you_o see_v how_o and_o from_o whence_o the_o child_n of_o god_n that_o be_v regenerate_v may_v fetch_v the_o testimony_n and_o assurance_n of_o their_o election_n chap._n xxxi_o of_o the_o objection_n against_o this_o doctrine_n of_o assurance_n and_o knowledge_n of_o our_o election_n against_o this_o doctrine_n concern_v our_o election_n and_o the_o knowledge_n and_o certainty_n thereof_o there_o be_v two_o special_a objection_n make_v object_n 1_o the_o first_o be_v that_o hypocrite_n also_o as_o well_o as_o the_o very_a elect_n have_v such_o a_o taeste_n and_o feel_n of_o these_o thing_n that_o they_o also_o as_o well_o as_o other_o do_v think_v that_o they_o have_v faith_n that_o they_o have_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n abide_v in_o they_o and_o that_o they_o have_v true_a sanctification_n in_o their_o life_n and_o therefore_o do_v flatter_v themselves_o oftentimes_o in_o regard_n of_o their_o deed_n whereas_o in_o deed_n they_o have_v nothing_o less_o as_o have_v be_v before_o somewhat_o touch_v and_o shall_v in_o the_o answer_n to_o this_o objection_n by_o god_n grace_n more_o at_o large_a be_v declare_v and_o therefore_o it_o be_v likely_a say_v the_o framer_n of_o this_o objection_n that_o notwithstanding_o these_o mark_n the_o elect_a of_o god_n may_v be_v deceive_v in_o judge_v that_o he_o have_v they_o when_o as_o it_o be_v but_o in_o show_v only_o and_o not_o as_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v in_o deed_n and_o truth_n object_n 2_o the_o second_o objection_n be_v that_o though_o they_o can_v certain_o know_v and_o assure_v themselves_o that_o they_o have_v these_o thing_n in_o truth_n and_o deed_n yet_o this_o suffice_v not_o because_o that_o after_o this_o they_o may_v fall_v again_o from_o grace_n and_o have_v no_o certainty_n of_o their_o perseverance_n and_o continuance_n until_o the_o end_n both_o these_o objection_n we_o have_v in_o part_n touch_v before_o upon_o occasion_n offer_v in_o our_o discourse_n and_o handle_v of_o the_o several_a temptation_n and_o therefore_o we_o shall_v be_v at_o this_o time_n the_o short_a concern_v the_o first_o of_o these_o two_o objection_n be_v it_o answer_v that_o howsoever_o the_o hypocrite_n be_v oftentimes_o deceive_v with_o counterfeit_a show_n and_o shadow_n because_o they_o be_v give_v to_o flatter_v themselves_o with_o every_o light_a appearance_n of_o thing_n without_o any_o further_a in_o quirie_n as_o aim_v especial_o at_o their_o own_o glory_n and_o praise_v yet_o with_o the_o elect_a of_o god_n it_o be_v not_o so_o object_n but_o you_o will_v haply_o grant_v and_o say_v it_o may_v be_v so_o with_o the_o elect_a in_o deed_n that_o they_o do_v not_o thus_o like_o hypocrite_n content_a or_o please_v themselves_o with_o a_o slight_a or_o slender_a show_n but_o what_o of_o that_o when_o they_o have_v do_v all_o that_o they_o can_v try_v and_o examine_v thing_n to_o the_o uttermost_a may_v they_o not_o be_v still_o deceive_v when_o they_o have_v find_v that_o they_o have_v a_o faith_n may_v they_o not_o be_v deceive_v in_o judge_v whether_o it_o be_v the_o true_a faith_n or_o no_o when_o they_o have_v find_v the_o presence_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o they_o can_v they_o make_v a_o lively_a difference_n to_o know_v whether_o it_o be_v that_o spirit_n of_o adoption_n or_o not_o for_o it_o be_v apparent_a that_o the_o reprobate_n also_o in_o some_o sort_n may_v be_v partaker_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o when_o the_o elect_n have_v well_o advise_v they_o of_o their_o work_n do_v see_v their_o fruit_n and_o that_o to_o their_o great_a good_a like_n can_v they_o certain_o tell_v whether_o the_o same_o their_o work_n be_v true_a effect_n of_o true_a sanctification_n or_o whether_o they_o be_v feign_v and_o hypocritical_a see_v that_o hypocrite_n also_o may_v do_v thus_o much_o as_o well_o as_o they_o answ_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v that_o god_n who_o in_o his_o word_n have_v confirm_v these_o to_o be_v witness_n to_o assure_v we_o of_o our_o election_n as_o be_v aforesaid_a have_v also_o leave_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o same_o word_n certain_a mark_n and_o undoubted_a difference_n whereby_o his_o elect_n may_v both_o easy_o and_o also_o right_o judge_v and_o discern_v of_o these_o thing_n as_o shall_v appear_v by_o the_o particular_a discourse_n thereof_o first_o therefore_o of_o the_o truth_n of_o faith_n and_o how_o it_o may_v be_v find_v it_o be_v not_o deny_v that_o the_o scripture_n speak_v of_o faith_n make_v one_o kind_n to_o be_v temporary_a false_a and_o counterfeit_a and_o another_o to_o be_v true_a and_o unfeigned_a and_o it_o be_v also_o apparent_a and_o manifest_a that_o this_o feign_a and_o timefaith_o that_o i_o may_v so_o call_v it_o have_v oftentimes_o such_o a_o glorious_a and_o slourish_a show_n as_o that_o it_o blind_v the_o eye_n and_o deceive_v the_o judgement_n of_o many_o and_o make_v they_o to_o esteem_v liberty_n to_o speak_v and_o be_v attentive_o hearken_v unto_o yield_v forth_o a_o full_a and_o a_o settle_a persuasion_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o our_o election_n in_o christ_n i_o say_v if_o it_o have_v liberty_n to_o speak_v and_o be_v attentive_o hear_v for_o that_o it_o oftentimes_o fall_v out_o with_o the_o faithful_a that_o though_o they_o have_v this_o certain_a witness_n within_o they_o yet_o the_o flesh_n sometime_o get_v the_o head_n and_o mastery_n over_o the_o spirit_n in_o they_o will_v not_o suffer_v it_o to_o speak_v so_o plain_o as_o it_o will_v and_o they_o also_o be_v thereupon_o trouble_v with_o this_o frailty_n which_o they_o find_v in_o themselves_o do_v often_o fall_v into_o many_o waver_a and_o doubt_v thought_n while_o they_o do_v not_o listen_v attentive_o unto_o this_o witness_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o now_o seem_v to_o speak_v more_o cold_o and_o with_o a_o low_a and_o less_o audible_a voice_n unto_o their_o soul_n than_o heretofore_o for_o certain_a it_o be_v that_o though_o the_o spirit_n do_v always_o witness_n and_o give_v also_o a_o most_o certain_a and_o constant_a witness_n for_o it_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o always_o in_o the_o like_a measure_n to_o the_o discern_a of_o our_o soul_n but_o sometime_o more_o evident_o and_o sometime_o less_o yea_o and_o that_o sometime_o also_o so_o obscure_o as_o that_o the_o child_n of_o god_n while_o they_o be_v too_o much_o busy_v otherways_o in_o harken_v unto_o the_o suggestion_n of_o satan_n the_o world_n and_o the_o flesh_n they_o do_v seem_v as_o though_o they_o hear_v it_o not_o at_o all_o wherefore_o if_o thou_o have_v once_o feel_v and_o find_v this_o testimony_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o thou_o let_v it_o suffice_v thou_o and_o be_v
