which_o be_v defile_v and_o have_v defilement_n attend_v of_o they_o i_o confess_v i_o know_v not_o that_o my_o heart_n and_o soul_n abhor_v any_o eruption_n of_o the_o diabolical_a pride_n of_o man_n immediate_a power_n dispose_v and_o enable_v it_o unto_o spiritual_a act_n it_o have_v not_o and_o the_o reason_n be_v because_o natural_a corruption_n cleave_v unto_o it_o as_o a_o invincible_a unmoveable_a habit_n constant_o induce_v unto_o evil_n wherewith_o the_o least_o disposition_n unto_o spiritual_a good_a be_v not_o inconsistent_a there_o be_v in_o the_o soul_n in_o the_o scripture-language_n which_o some_o call_v cant_v the_o body_n of_o the_o sin_n of_o the_o flesh_n 2_o col._n 11._o which_o unless_o it_o be_v take_v away_o by_o spiritual_a circumcision_n through_o such_o thing_n be_v worthy_a of_o death_n not_o only_o do_v the_o same_o but_o have_v pleasure_n in_o they_o that_o do_v they_o when_o open_o profligate_v sinner_n do_v as_o it_o be_v make_v themselves_o up_o into_o societye_n encourage_v and_o approve_v one_o another_o in_o their_o abominable_a course_n so_o that_o no_o company_n please_v they_o but_o such_o as_o have_v obtain_v a_o impudence_n in_o sin_v then_o be_v the_o great_a defiance_n give_v unto_o the_o holiness_n and_o righteousness_n of_o god_n now_o such_o as_o these_o will_v never_o seek_v after_o cleanse_v for_o why_o shall_v they_o do_v so_o who_o be_v sensible_a of_o no_o spiritual_a pollution_n nor_o have_v the_o least_o touch_n of_o shame_n with_o respect_n thereunto_o it_o be_v necessary_a therefore_o unto_o the_o duty_n of_o purify_n our_o soul_n that_o we_o be_v affect_v with_o shame_n for_o the_o spiritual_a defilement_n which_o our_o nature_n under_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o image_n of_o god_n be_v even_o roll_v in_o and_o where_o this_o be_v not_o it_o will_v be_v but_o lose_v labour_n that_o be_v spend_v in_o the_o invitation_n of_o man_n to_o the_o cleanse_a fountain_n sect._n 13_o 3._o let_v person_n so_o affect_v be_v full_o satisfy_v that_o they_o can_v never_o cleanse_v or_o purify_v themselves_o by_o any_o endeavour_n that_o be_v mere_o their_o own_o or_o by_o any_o mean_n of_o their_o own_o find_v out_o according_a unto_o man_n conviction_n of_o the_o defilement_n of_o sin_n so_o have_v and_o always_o will_v their_o endeavour_n be_v after_o purification_n hos._n 5._o 13._o themselves_o in_o the_o pollution_n of_o sin_n they_o go_v about_o by_o vain_a attempt_n of_o their_o own_o to_o purify_v their_o soul_n hos._n 5._o 13._o jerem._n 2._o 22._o job_n 9_o 30_o 31._o their_o own_o sorrow_n and_o repentance_n and_o tear_n of_o contrition_n and_o that_o sorry_a amendment_n of_o life_n they_o can_v attain_v unto_o shall_v do_v this_o work_n for_o they_o and_o every_o especial_a defile_n act_n or_o every_o renew_a sense_n of_o it_o shall_v have_v a_o especial_a act_n of_o duty_n for_o its_o cleanse_n but_o though_o these_o thing_n be_v good_a in_o themselves_o yet_o there_o be_v require_v more_o wisdom_n to_o the_o right_n state_v of_o they_o as_o to_o their_o cause_n respect_n end_n and_o use_v than_o they_o be_v furnish_v withal_o hence_o be_v they_o so_o frequent_o abuse_v and_o turn_v into_o a_o effectual_a mean_v not_o only_o of_o keep_v man_n off_o and_o at_o a_o distance_n from_o christ_n but_o also_o from_o a_o due_a and_o acceptable_a performance_n of_o the_o very_a duty_n themselves_o pretend_v unto_o for_o legal_a sorrow_n or_o repentance_n or_o mere_a legal_a conviction_n be_v trust_v unto_o will_v infallible_o keep_v the_o soul_n from_o come_v up_o unto_o that_o evangelical_n repentance_n which_o alone_o god_n accept_v and_o mere_a reformation_n of_o life_n rest_v in_o prove_v opposite_a to_o endeavour_n for_o the_o dark_a unbelieving_a and_o superstitious_a mind_n and_o in_o like_a manner_n when_o he_o design_v to_o draw_v man_n off_o from_o christ_n and_o the_o gospel_n under_o the_o papacy_n he_o do_v it_o principal_o by_o the_o suggestion_n of_o such_o present_a and_o future_a purgatory_n of_o sin_n as_o may_v comply_v with_o their_o lust_n and_o ignorance_n of_o so_o great_a importance_n be_v it_o therefore_o to_o be_v acquaint_v with_o the_o only_a true_a real_a way_n and_o means_n hereof_o and_o there_o be_v two_o consideration_n that_o be_v suit_v to_o excite_v the_o diligence_n of_o
