declare_v it_o not_o we_o be_v herein_o teach_v to_o be_v far_o off_o from_o communicate_v with_o sinner_n as_o to_o rebuke_v and_o reprove_v those_o offence_n whereunto_o we_o be_v privy_a all_o man_n general_o count_v it_o a_o wicked_a thing_n to_o steal_v and_o many_o who_o be_v even_o without_o all_o fear_n of_o god_n will_v not_o rob_v or_o pilfer_v themselves_o but_o a_o great_a number_n make_v no_o bone_n to_o be_v accessary_a unto_o evil_a doer_n and_o be_v glad_a when_o they_o may_v have_v any_o share_n in_o a_o rich_a booty_n manful_o get_v howsoever_o such_o may_v think_v themselves_o to_o be_v better_a than_o thief_n yet_o the_o prophet_n esay_n make_v they_o all_o one_o with_o they_o 1._o esay_n 1._o when_o he_o say_v thy_o prince_n be_v the_o fellow_n of_o thief_n such_o affirm_v that_o in_o as_o much_o as_o they_o see_v a_o thief_n 50._o psal_n 50._o they_o consent_v to_o he_o and_o be_v partaker_n with_o the_o adulterer_n therefore_o he_o will_v reprove_v they_o and_o set_v their_o sin_n in_o order_n before_o they_o but_o as_o he_o draw_v on_o himself_o the_o lord_n judgement_n who_o communicate_v with_o thief_n in_o their_o spoil_n &_o evil_a deed_n so_o he_o also_o offend_v &_o cast_v himself_o into_o his_o wrath_n which_o hearing_n curse_v declare_v it_o not_o that_o be_v to_o say_v who_o hear_v any_o to_o blaspheme_v to_o swear_v or_o otherwise_o abuse_v his_o tongue_n tell_v he_o not_o of_o his_o fault_n if_o he_o be_v such_o a_o one_o who_o it_o be_v wisdom_n to_o reprove_v this_o to_o be_v the_o natural_a sense_n of_o these_o word_n may_v appear_v by_o that_o mother_n sentence_n unto_o which_o this_o verse_n be_v refer_v which_o be_v set_v down_o in_o the_o five_o chapter_n of_o leviticus_fw-la 1._o verse_n also_o when_o one_o have_v sin_v and_o he_o have_v hear_v the_o sin_n of_o blasphemy_n whereof_o he_o be_v witness_n whether_o he_o have_v see_v it_o or_o whether_o he_o have_v hear_v it_o if_o he_o tell_v it_o neighbour_n sin_n to_o pass_v without_o any_o controlment_n use_v by_o he_o make_v he_o subject_a to_o the_o punishment_n due_a thereunto_o well_o then_o to_o stir_v up_o every_o one_o to_o pull_v his_o neighbour_n out_o of_o the_o fire_n here_o be_v show_v that_o silence_n keep_v in_o such_o case_n cause_v we_o to_o incur_v the_o recompense_n due_a to_o other_o man_n offence_n let_v we_o then_o as_o the_o apostle_n exhort_v follow_v the_o nature_n of_o light_n which_o not_o only_o have_v no_o fellowship_n with_o darkness_n but_o reprove_v and_o declare_v the_o work_n thereof_o let_v we_o practice_v the_o commandment_n of_o our_o saviour_n if_o our_o brother_n offend_v we_o to_o tell_v he_o between_o we_o and_o he_o if_o our_o brother_n i_o say_v for_o as_o for_o scorner_n of_o infidelity_n and_o faith_n be_v declare_v the_o spiritual_a fear_n and_o sonlike_a reverence_n of_o god_n be_v a_o fountain_n of_o life_n as_o before_o in_o this_o book_n have_v be_v affirm_v again_o the_o natural_a fear_n of_o danger_n of_o trouble_n &_o of_o death_n be_v not_o to_o be_v reprove_v so_o long_o as_o it_o keep_v in_o compass_n or_o be_v sanctify_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n but_o here_o a_o slavish_a &_o hellish_a fear_n be_v speak_v off_o spring_v from_o infidelity_n and_o trouble_v the_o mind_n above_o measure_n with_o the_o danger_n or_o evil_n of_o this_o life_n or_o the_o world_n to_o come_v this_o fear_n work_v a_o snare_n even_o death_n and_o destruction_n even_o as_o the_o apostle_n say_v the_o sorrow_n of_o this_o world_n do_v for_o first_o he_o which_o fear_v the_o face_n of_o man_n or_o trouble_n run_v by_o this_o mean_n into_o many_o sin_n as_o to_o leave_v his_o call_n to_o trust_v in_o carnal_a help_n and_o to_o deny_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n second_o he_o give_v the_o adversary_n great_a advantage_n over_o he_o who_o by_o reason_n of_o his_o fear_n he_o be_v not_o able_a to_o resist_v and_o who_o on_o this_o occasion_n be_v embolden_v three_o by_o extreme_a passion_n his_o sense_n be_v bind_v his_o spirit_n dull_v his_o body_n cast_v into_o disease_n and_o his_o mind_n fail_v and_o faint_v last_o of_o all_o in_o as_o much_o as_o he_o doubt_v of_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n by_o this_o mean_v he_o do_v incur_v eternal_a damnation_n see_v the_o featfull_a shall_v have_v their_o portion_n in_o the_o lake_n which_o burn_v with_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n as_o then_o the_o fearful_a beast_n and_o bird_n fall_v into_o pit_n and_o inwrap_v themselves_o in_o snare_n in_o like_a sort_n the_o timorous_a person_n draw_v the_o judgement_n of_o the_o lord_n upon_o themselves_o there_o be_v a_o great_a number_n in_o the_o world_n which_o be_v far_o from_o this_o fear_n and_o yet_o no_o near_o to_o happiness_n if_o not_o further_o off_o from_o it_o then_o the_o timorous_a for_o they_o fear_v neither_o god_n nor_o man_n but_o presumption_n embrace_v their_o neck_n as_o a_o chain_n their_o destiny_n have_v before_o be_v set_v down_o
