belong_v to_o their_o own_o being_n beside_o see_v man_n be_v the_o head_n
to_o good_a or_o evil_n so_o far_o be_v it_o a_o own-working_a of_o man_n and_o because_o the_o evil_a proper_o consist_v in_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o work_n or_o action_n and_o not_o in_o the_o work_n or_o action_n itself_o it_o do_v not_o at_o all_o follow_v that_o sin_n must_v have_v its_o original_a from_o god_n because_o god_n be_v the_o original_a of_o all_o the_o work_n of_o man_n for_o that_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o work_n depend_v upon_o the_o freewill_n of_o man_n but_o not_o the_o work_n itself_o so_o that_o it_o neither_o follow_v that_o man_n must_v needs_o have_v such_o a_o own-working_a as_o take_v its_o original_a from_o himself_o and_o not_o from_o god_n nor_o on_o the_o contrary_a that_o god_n because_o he_o be_v the_o original_a of_o all_o work_n must_v needs_o also_o be_v the_o cause_n and_o author_n of_o sin_n because_o work_v consider_v in_o itself_o be_v good_a but_o man_n have_v a_o freewill_n direct_v it_o to_o evil_a and_o so_o as_o to_o that_o direction_n it_o be_v in_o that_o respect_n say_v to_o be_v evil_a and_o a_o own-working_a or_o act_n of_o man_n and_o so_o in_o this_o objection_n the_o work_n and_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o work_a be_v confound_v together_o which_o yet_o as_o have_v be_v say_v be_v distinct_a beside_o when_o it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o work_n of_o sin_n be_v a_o own-work_n of_o man_n here_o again_o the_o sin_n and_o the_o work_a be_v confound_v take_v the_o work_n and_o the_o sin_n to_o be_v the_o same_o thing_n because_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o distinguish_v the_o sin_n from_o the_o work_n but_o to_o understand_v this_o distinct_o we_o must_v examine_v what_o sin_n proper_o be_v and_o wherein_o it_o do_v consist_v sin_n then_o consist_v proper_o herein_o that_o man_n direct_v the_o work_a which_o he_o have_v to_o something_o else_o than_o that_o to_o which_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v use_v so_o that_o the_o sin_n lie_v not_o in_o the_o work_n in_o the_o act_n action_n work_n or_o deed_n itself_o but_o in_o the_o direction_n that_o man_n have_v over_o the_o work_a as_o for_o example_n a_o carpenter_n be_v about_o to_o use_v a_o axe_n to_o cleave_v a_o piece_n of_o wood_n so_o to_o do_v be_v good_a and_o well_o because_o it_o tend_v to_o the_o good_a of_o man_n but_o if_o he_o use_v the_o axe_n to_o kill_v a_o man_n that_o be_v evil_a now_o that_o be_v certain_a that_o the_o use_n of_o the_o axe_n be_v as_o well_o a_o work_n in_o the_o one_o as_o in_o the_o other_o case_n and_o as_o to_o these_o two_o working_n consider_v in_o themselves_o the_o one_o be_v no_o more_o evil_a than_o the_o other_o because_o they_o be_v so_o far_o of_o one_o and_o the_o same_o nature_n but_o if_o we_o consider_v the_o direction_n of_o those_o two_o working_n we_o shall_v find_v they_o to_o differ_v very_o much_o from_o each_o other_o to_o wit_n that_o the_o one_o be_v profitable_a and_o the_o other_o mischievous_a whence_o then_o we_o may_v clear_o see_v that_o sin_n be_v no_o work_n but_o a_o wrong_a direction_n of_o the_o work_n and_o that_o sin_n lie_v in_o that_o wrong_a direction_n we_o shall_v very_o plain_o observe_v from_o the_o consciousness_n will_v be_v in_o vain_a if_o there_o be_v no_o reward_n for_o he_o to_o be_v expect_v it_o will_v in_o like_a manner_n be_v most_o contrary_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o divine_a proceed_v or_o come_v out_o of_o the_o dead_a than_o our_o soul_n must_v have_v be_v something_o former_o there_o for_o have_v they_o be_v nothing_o they_o can_v never_o have_v return_v thence_o and_o this_o be_v a_o sufficient_a token_n that_o it_o be_v so_o if_o we_o can_v prove_v that_o the_o live_n proceed_v from_o no_o where_n else_o than_o from_o the_o dead_a but_o if_o this_o can_v be_v
