ill_a work_n yet_o he_o will_v deliver_v we_o from_o worse_a work_n by_o those_o ill_a work_n austin_n say_v i_o dare_v presume_v to_o say_v it_o be_v profitable_a for_o some_o man_n to_o fall_v if_o a_o man_n be_v of_o a_o proud_a peremptory_a disposition_n or_o of_o a_o blockish_a dull_a and_o secure_a nature_n it_o be_v good_a he_o shall_v be_v acquaint_v what_o sin_n he_o carry_v in_o his_o man_n the_o more_o faithful_a when_o he_o know_v he_o be_v trust_v learn_v therefore_o to_o know_v thyself_o to_o be_v in_o covenant_n with_o god_n and_o to_o trust_v he_o with_o all_o thou_o have_v train_n up_o thyself_o in_o a_o continual_a dependence_n upon_o he_o he_o that_o trust_v god_n with_o his_o soul_n will_v trust_v he_o every_o day_n in_o every_o thing_n he_o have_v or_o do_v he_o know_v well_o that_o whatsoever_o he_o enjoy_v be_v not_o his_o own_o but_o god_n and_o this_o stir_v he_o up_o to_o commit_v all_o his_o way_n and_o do_n to_o his_o protection_n esteem_v nothing_o safe_a but_o what_o the_o lord_n keep_v 23._o he_o see_v it_o be_v not_o in_o sinful_a man_n to_o direct_v his_o own_o step_n and_o therefore_o resign_v up_o his_o estate_n his_o call_n his_o family_n will_v own_v i_o for_o he_o and_o take_v the_o care_n of_o i_o how_o happy_a shall_v my_o condition_n then_o be_v he_o will_v likewise_o commit_v the_o church_n and_o state_n wherein_o he_o live_v to_o god_n and_o strengthen_v his_o faith_n daily_o by_o observe_v god_n faithful_a deal_n with_o his_o people_n in_o every_o kind_n how_o behooveful_a it_o be_v for_o christian_n thus_o to_o inure_v themselves_o to_o be_v acquaint_v with_o god_n by_o little_a and_o little_a first_o trust_v he_o with_o small_a matter_n and_o then_o with_o great_a how_o can_v a_o man_n trust_v god_n with_o his_o soul_n that_o distrust_v he_o for_o the_o petty_a thing_n of_o this_o life_n they_o that_o give_v to_o the_o poor_a be_v say_v to_o lend_v unto_o the_o lord_n and_o if_o we_o cast_v our_o bread_n upon_o the_o water_n we_o shall_v find_v it_o again_o belove_a he_o that_o part_v with_o any_o thing_n to_o relieve_v a_o poor_a saint_n and_o will_v not_o trust_v god_n with_o his_o promise_n to_o recompense_v it_o again_o but_o think_v all_o be_v go_v and_o he_o shall_v never_o see_v it_o more_o etc._n etc._n exceed_o derogate_v from_o the_o truth_n and_o goodness_n of_o the_o almighty_a who_o have_v promise_v to_o return_v with_o advantage_n whatsoever_o we_o give_v that_o way_n he_o have_v secret_a way_n of_o his_o own_o to_o do_v we_o good_a that_o we_o know_v not_o of_o a_o man_n be_v never_o the_o poor_a for_o that_o which_o he_o discret_o give_v it_o be_v hard_o to_o believe_v this_o but_o it_o be_v much_o hard_a for_o a_o man_n to_o commit_v his_o soul_n to_o god_n when_o he_o die_v with_o assurance_n that_o he_o shall_v partake_v of_o mercy_n and_o be_v save_v at_o the_o last_o day_n again_o take_v heed_n of_o these_o evil_a and_o curse_a disposition_n that_o hinder_v we_o from_o the_o performance_n of_o this_o duty_n 3._o as_o namely_o carnal_a wit_n and_o policy_n and_o carnal_a will_n and_o affection_n etc._n etc._n there_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o self-denial_n to_o be_v learn_v before_o we_o can_v go_v out_o of_o ourselves_o and_o commit_v all_o to_o god_n ere_o we_o can_v cast_v ourselves_o into_o his_o arm_n and_o lay_v ourselves_o at_o his_o foot_n therefore_o take_v heed_n that_o we_o be_v not_o rule_v either_o by_o our_o own_o
thou_o will_v serve_v thyself_o of_o my_o credit_n and_o reputation_n i_o will_v adventure_v it_o for_o thou_o if_o thou_o will_v have_v my_o life_n of_o thou_o i_o have_v it_o to_o thou_o i_o will_v restore_v it_o i_o will_v not_o limit_v thy_o majesty_n come_v of_o it_o what_o will_v i_o leave_v it_o to_o thy_o wisdom_n use_v i_o and_o i_o as_o thou_o will_v only_o be_v gracious_a to_o my_o trouble_n etc._n etc._n this_o be_v not_o to_o deal_v with_o god_n as_o a_o omnipotent_a creator_n for_o he_o that_o do_v a_o thing_n true_o in_o obedience_n to_o god_n will_v do_v it_o general_o to_o all_o his_o command_n so_o far_o as_o the_o reason_n of_o his_o obedience_n reach_v his_o trust_n extend_v he_o that_o commit_v any_o thing_n to_o god_n will_v commit_v all_o to_o he_o he_o choose_v not_o his_o object_n but_o upon_o the_o same_o ground_n that_o he_o commit_v his_o soul_n to_o god_n when_o he_o die_v he_o commit_v his_o estate_n liberty_n and_o all_o he_o have_v while_o he_o live_v he_o can_v never_o rely_v on_o god_n for_o great_a matter_n that_o distrust_v he_o in_o lesser_a again_o trial_o a_o man_n that_o true_o trust_v god_n will_v commit_v all_o his_o way_n unto_o he_o he_o will_v take_v no_o course_n but_o what_o he_o be_v guide_v in_o by_o the_o lord_n he_o look_v for_o wisdom_n from_o above_o and_o say_v lord_n though_o it_o be_v not_o in_o i_o to_o guide_v my_o own_o way_n as_o thy_o word_n shall_v lead_v i_o and_o the_o good_a counsel_n of_o thy_o spirit_n in_o other_o direct_v i_o so_o i_o will_v follow_v thou_o he_o that_o commit_v not_o his_o way_n widow_n in_o a_o special_a manner_n he_o double_v his_o providence_n there_o he_o provide_v for_o all_o but_o take_v special_a notice_n of_o they_o therefore_o quiet_a thyself_o they_o be_v in_o covenant_n with_o god_n and_o god_n be_v thy_o god_n and_o the_o god_n of_o thy_o seed_n also_o therefore_o if_o thou_o will_v commit_v thy_o soul_n why_o not_o thy_o wife_n child_n good_n etc._n etc._n look_v into_o the_o course_n of_o god_n people_n in_o all_o time_n those_o that_o have_v leave_v but_o little_a with_o honest_a deal_n god_n have_v bless_v the_o same_o exceed_o whereas_o those_o that_o have_v leave_v great_a matter_n ill_o get_v in_o stead_n of_o a_o blessing_n have_v often_o leave_v a_o curse_n and_o a_o snare_n behind_o they_o why_o then_o shall_v man_n take_v indirect_a course_n and_o wound_v their_o conscience_n for_o worldly_a pelle_z consider_v 1._o 1._o thy_o child_n be_v god_n and_o not_o thou_o he_o give_v they_o to_o thou_o at_o first_o and_o he_o be_v a_o action_n of_o trust_n and_o there_o be_v a_o kind_n of_o intercourse_n of_o trust_n between_o god_n and_o a_o christian_a continual_o last_o trial_o those_o that_o commit_v themselves_o to_o god_n will_v be_v faithful_a steward_n in_o whatsoever_o he_o have_v trust_v they_o withal_o thou_o commit_v thyself_o and_o thy_o health_n and_o estate_n to_o god_n and_o at_o length_n thou_o will_v commit_v thy_o soul_n when_o thoudy_a unto_o he_o very_o well_o but_o what_o do_v god_n trust_v thou_o withal_o have_v he_o not_o trust_v thou_o with_o a_o body_n and_o a_o soul_n with_o a_o portion_n of_o good_n with_o place_n time_n strength_n and_o ability_n to_o do_v good_a have_v thou_o not_o all_o thou_o have_v from_o god_n as_o a_o steward_n to_o improve_v for_o thy_o master_n advantage_n if_o ever_o thou_o expect_v the_o performance_n of_o what_o thou_o have_v put_v in_o he_o be_v faithful_a in_o that_o trust_n which_o he_o have_v commit_v to_o thou_o those_o that_o have_v misuse_v their_o body_n and_o wound_v their_o soul_n in_o their_o life_n how_o can_v they_o commit_v they_o to_o god_n at_o their_o death_n how_o dare_v the_o soul_n look_v up_o to_o he_o when_o the_o life_n have_v be_v nothing_o else_o but_o a_o perpetual_a offend_n of_o his_o majesty_n i_o beseech_v you_o let_v we_o learn_v this_o wholesome_a lesson_n great_a be_v our_o benefit_n thereby_o he_o that_o trust_v in_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v as_o mount_n zion_n that_o can_v be_v move_v we_o may_v be_v shake_v but_o shall_v never_o be_v remove_v the_o earth_n be_v shake_v with_o earthquake_n but_o
