life_n and_o i_o will_v raise_v he_o up_o at_o the_o last_o day_n these_o word_n carry_v far_o more_o appearance_n of_o christ_n real_a flesh_n in_o the_o sacrament_n than_o those_o in_o st._n upon_o they_o crying_z this_o be_v a_o hard_a say_n who_o can_v bear_v it_o for_o real_o it_o sound_v very_o hard_a if_o you_o take_v the_o bare_a word_n in_o themselves_o without_o our_o saviour_n he_o begin_v this_o discourse_n prepare_v his_o disciple_n for_o the_o spiritual_a understanding_n of_o what_o follow_v by_o save_v very_o very_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o he_o that_o believe_v on_o i_o have_v everlasting_a life_n which_o plain_o show_v that_o the_o word_n he_o be_v go_v to_o speak_v be_v to_o be_v apprehend_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o in_o a_o carnal_a way_n for_o as_o he_o say_v in_o this_o 47_o verse_n with_o a_o double_a asseveration_n very_o very_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o he_o that_o believe_v on_o i_o have_v everlasting_a life_n so_o verse_n 53._o very_o very_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o except_o you_o eat_v the_o flesh_n of_o the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o drink_v his_o blood_n you_o have_v no_o life_n in_o you_o here_o he_o affirm_v the_o very_a same_o of_o eat_v his_o flesh_n as_o before_o of_o believe_v in_o he_o show_v that_o our_o eat_n must_v be_v by_o faith_n and_o not_o carnal_o and_o then_o again_o after_o our_o saviour_n see_v that_o many_o be_v offend_v at_o those_o word_n of_o eat_v his_o flesh_n to_o take_v they_o off_o from_o any_o gross_a carnal_a apprehension_n he_o tell_v they_o the_o word_n that_o i_o speak_v unto_o you_o they_o be_v spirit_n and_o they_o be_v life_n after_o that_o our_o saviour_n have_v thus_o instruct_v his_o disciple_n in_o the_o true_a spiritual_a sense_n of_o his_o word_n we_o find_v it_o so_o rectify_v their_o understanding_n as_o that_o when_o he_o administer_v to_o they_o this_o holy_a sacrament_n and_o give_v they_o that_o which_o figurative_o he_o call_v his_o body_n to_o eat_v not_o one_o of_o they_o in_o the_o least_o scruple_v at_o it_o which_o doubtless_o some_o one_o or_o other_o will_v have_v do_v have_v they_o imagine_v our_o saviour_n have_v give_v his_o real_a flesh._n they_o who_o startle_v at_o hear_v it_o will_v much_o more_o at_o act_v it_o for_o their_o faith_n be_v not_o yet_o so_o strong_a as_o to_o believe_v such_o a_o miraculous_a transubstantiation_n as_o the_o papist_n fancy_n and_o that_o his_o whole_a body_n shall_v enter_v in_o at_o the_o narrow_a circle_n of_o their_o mouth_n for_o we_o see_v how_o weak_o they_o stagger_v at_o our_o saviour_n
