death_n for_o the_o preach_a or_o show_v forth_o the_o cross_n of_o christ_n in_o which_o the_o whole_a gospel_n of_o christ_n the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n the_o power_n of_o god_n be_v preach_v that_o be_v to_o they_o that_o perish_v foolishness_n but_o to_o we_o that_o be_v save_v it_o be_v the_o power_n of_o god_n whence_o the_o apostle_v say_v god_n forbid_v that_o i_o shall_v glory_v in_o any_o their_o net_n for_o why_o else_o do_v they_o not_o as_o well_o question_n our_o ground_n for_o the_o continuance_n of_o this_o ordinance_n of_o baptise_v with_o water_n in_o his_o name_n as_o they_o have_v do_v that_o of_o the_o lord_n supper_n see_v it_o be_v notorious_o know_v they_o make_v no_o more_o account_n of_o the_o one_o then_o of_o the_o other_o we_o shall_v therefore_o here_o say_v the_o less_o to_o this_o hypocritical_a question_n but_o if_o any_o desire_n to_o understand_v the_o ground_n of_o our_o practice_n in_o that_o they_o may_v see_v they_o at_o large_a show_v by_o the_o scripture_n in_o treatise_n make_v public_a the_o one_o by_o joh._n horn_n call_v consideration_n of_o infant_n baptism_n the_o other_o by_o tho._n moor_n senior_a call_v a_o brief_a discourse_n distraction_n or_o reason_n against_o our_o practice_n in_o answer_n to_o what_o be_v make_v public_a or_o they_o have_v we_o in_o manuscript_n which_o yet_o they_o have_v not_o do_v or_o otherwise_o we_o shall_v be_v ready_a to_o answer_v they_o though_o we_o think_v it_o not_o expedient_a here_o to_o speak_v to_o those_o thing_n in_o which_o they_o differ_v from_o we_o who_o yet_o own_o the_o same_o lord_n jesus_n with_o we_o and_o wait_v for_o his_o glorious_a appearance_n from_o heaven_n and_o though_o differ_v from_o we_o in_o the_o manner_n or_o outward_a form_n of_o a_o ordinance_n etc._n etc._n yet_o do_v it_o to_o the_o same_o lord_n who_o we_o will_v neither_o judge_v nor_o despise_v nor_o reckon_v they_o among_o or_o join_v they_o with_o such_o enemy_n of_o the_o cross_n of_o christ_n as_o prvy_o deny_v the_o lord_n that_o buy_v they_o and_o despise_v both_o his_o say_n and_o ordinance_n 2._o why_o demand_v they_o a_o command_n from_o god_n or_o evident_a example_n for_o what_o we_o do_v in_o this_o see_v they_o contemn_v both_o in_o the_o former_a and_o in_o scorn_n reject_v the_o ordinance_n itself_o as_o unprofitable_a we_o may_v answer_v this_o demand_n as_o our_o saviour_n answer_v a_o like_a question_n mat._n 21._o 23_o 24_o 25._o when_o they_o demand_v of_o our_o saviour_n by_o what_o authority_n he_o do_v those_o thing_n he_o answer_v and_o say_v
