of_o that_o holy_a plaee_n no_o thing_n or_o person_n that_o be_v defile_v or_o pollute_v shall_v ever_o enter_v there_o and_o certain_o this_o must_v needs_o be_v sweet_a and_o delightful_a be_v it_o a_o thing_n that_o we_o may_v suppose_v possible_a as_o indeed_o it_o be_v not_o that_o here_o we_o can_v have_v communion_n with_o the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o with_o they_o only_o yet_o the_o best_a of_o they_o have_v now_o so_o many_o weakness_n and_o imperfection_n as_o will_v render_v the_o pure_a society_n of_o they_o sometime_o uncomfortable_a for_o here_o be_v in_o their_o imperfect_a state_n they_o must_v be_v bear_v withal_o in_o many_o thing_n for_o they_o be_v still_o man_n subject_a to_o like_a passion_n and_o infirmtiy_n with_o other_o moses_n a_o man_n eminent_a for_o meekness_n so_o that_o there_o be_v none_o like_o he_o on_o earth_n yet_o sometime_o speak_v unadvised_o with_o his_o lip_n job_n a_o patient_a man_n even_o to_o a_o proverb_n yet_o have_v sometime_o his_o fit_n of_o impatience_n and_o discontent_n jonah_n a_o prophet_n of_o the_o lord_n yet_o very_o froward_a and_o peevish_a and_o justify_v his_o passion_n and_o anger_n not_o only_o before_o man_n but_o even_o unto_o the_o face_n of_o god_n himself_o say_v i_o do_v well_o to_o be_v angry_a even_o unto_o the_o death_n yea_o most_o if_o not_o all_o the_o saint_n and_o people_n of_o god_n mention_v in_o scripture_n though_o eminent_a for_o grace_n and_o holiness_n yet_o have_v they_o have_v some_o sin_n some_o infirmity_n or_o other_o record_v of_o they_o that_o it_o may_v be_v know_v they_o be_v man_n yea_o sinful_a man_n also_o as_o well_o as_o saint_n and_o if_o we_o expect_v communion_n with_o any_o while_n we_o be_v here_o that_o be_v not_o sinner_n as_o well_o as_o saint_n we_o must_v then_o go_v out_o of_o the_o world_n as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v for_o all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n here_o have_v flesh_n in_o they_o as_o well_o as_o spirit_n sin_n and_o corruption_n in_o they_o as_o well_o as_o grace_n and_o holiness_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o all_o their_o frailty_n and_o infirmity_n they_o be_v still_o the_o best_a company_n and_o fellowship_n and_o society_n with_o they_o most_o desirable_a and_o if_o while_o they_o have_v their_o spot_n their_o stain_n upon_o they_o their_o company_n be_v so_o excellent_a and_o desirable_a what_o shall_v they_o be_v when_o they_o shall_v be_v free_a from_o all_o their_o imperfection_n when_o they_o shall_v have_v no_o ignorance_n no_o blindness_n no_o pride_n no_o impatience_n no_o spot_n no_o blemish_n nor_o any_o thing_n whereby_o they_o may_v be_v pollute_v or_o defile_v but_o shall_v be_v adorn_v and_o beautify_v with_o all_o grace_n and_o holiness_n in_o the_o fullness_n and_o perfection_n of_o it_o sure_o then_o their_o company_n must_v needs_o be_v far_o more_o desirable_a yea_o even_o a_o kind_n of_o a_o little_a heaven_n itself_o second_o the_o happiness_n of_o believer_n in_o heaven_n consist_v in_o their_o communion_n with_o angel_n the_o high_a the_o noble_a and_o most_o excellent_a of_o god_n creature_n the_o welfare_n of_o man_n be_v that_o in_o which_o the_o angel_n delight_n when_o man_n be_v at_o first_o create_v those_o morning-star_n sing_v together_o and_o those_o son_n of_o god_n as_o holy_a job_n speak_v shout_v for_o joy_n job_n 38.7_o when_o jesus_n christ_n the_o saviour_n of_o mankind_n come_v into_o the_o world_n for_o this_o very_a end_n and_o purpose_n that_o he_o may_v be_v a_o redeemer_n unto_o man_n it_o be_v say_v that_o a_o multitude_n of_o the_o heavenly_a host_n join_v together_o in_o praise_v of_o god_n say_v glory_n to_o god_n on_o high_a on_o earth_n peace_n and_o good_a will_n towards_o man_n luke_n 2.13_o and_o when_o any_o sinner_n be_v turn_v unto_o god_n there_o be_v joy_n say_v our_o lord_n among_o those_o bless_a spirit_n luke_n 15.10_o this_o heavenly_a host_n of_o god_n now_o as_o the_o the_o happiness_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n both_o in_o respect_n of_o their_o fellowship_n with_o the_o saint_n and_o their_o communion_n with_o the_o angel_n in_o heaven_n in_o heb._n 12.22_o 23._o you_o be_v come_v unto_o mount_n zion_n the_o city_n of_o the_o live_a god_n the_o heavenly_a jerusalem_n and_o to_o a_o innumerable_a company_n of_o angel_n and_o to_o the_o spirit_n of_o just_a man_n make_v perfect_a while_o we_o carry_v about_o with_o we_o these_o earthly_a tabernacle_n of_o our_o body_n we_o be_v scarce_o capable_a of_o communication_n with_o such_o spiritual_a heavenly_a creature_n but_o at_o death_n the_o saint_n shall_v know_v their_o old_a friend_n and_o fellow-servant_n and_o then_o those_o heavenly_a and_o triumphant_a chariot_n shall_v carry_v up_o shall_v enjoy_v in_o heaven_n and_o a_o truth_n of_o great_a certainty_n yet_o the_o way_n and_o manner_n of_o the_o saint_n converse_v with_o they_o there_o be_v very_o dark_a and_o obscure_a and_o that_o to_o which_o we_o be_v now_o altogether_o stranger_n let_v therefore_o the_o certainty_n thereof_o suppress_v our_o curiosity_n and_o satisfy_v our_o mind_n until_o we_o come_v thither_o when_o we_o shall_v have_v a_o full_a revelation_n and_o enjoyment_n thereof_o together_o be_v make_v not_o only_o like_a unto_o but_o equal_a with_o the_o angel_n three_o the_o happiness_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n lie_v in_o this_o that_o there_o they_o shall_v have_v a_o sight_n and_o enjoyment_n of_o jesus_n christ_n as_o their_o bless_a and_o glorious_a redeemet_n now_o this_o be_v a_o happiness_n so_o great_a that_o a_o saint_n can_v but_o account_v himself_o recompense_v with_o infinite_a gain_n and_o advantage_n though_o he_o lose_v his_o life_n in_o the_o attain_n of_o it_o christ_n say_v the_o apostle_n col._n 3.11_o be_v all_o in_o all_o it_o be_v doubtless_o a_o bless_a and_o glorious_a sight_n to_o behold_v the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n when_o he_o be_v here_o upon_o earth_n when_o in_o the_o day_n of_o his_o flesh_n he_o humble_v himself_o and_o take_v upon_o he_o the_o form_n of_o a_o servant_n for_o certain_o he_o be_v the_o comiy_a person_n
what_o it_o be_v to_o have_v this_o god_n to_o be_v our_o god_n and_o true_o no_o more_o be_v we_o able_a to_o tell_v what_o it_o be_v to_o have_v the_o heaven_n of_o god_n to_o be_v we_o and_o as_o god_n himself_o so_o the_o heaven_n in_o which_o god_n dwell_v both_o which_o shall_v be_v the_o reward_n of_o the_o saint_n hereafter_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o infinite_a greatness_n and_o glory_n be_v better_o know_v to_o we_o by_o what_o they_o be_v not_o than_o by_o what_o they_o be_v and_o we_o may_v best_o conceive_v of_o that_o recompense_n of_o reward_n that_o the_o saint_n shall_v partake_v of_o in_o heaven_n when_o we_o be_v tell_v there_o be_v nothing_o there_o that_o may_v affright_v or_o afflict_v we_o nothing_o that_o may_v grieve_v molest_v or_o trouble_v we_o but_o a_o everlasting_a enjoyment_n of_o the_o high_a and_o sweet_a delight_n and_o satistaction_n that_o the_o now_o but_o much_o more_o then_o vast_a and_o capacious_a soul_n of_o man_n can_v receive_v desire_v or_o in_o agine_v be_v thou_o now_o o_o soul_n oppress_v with_o the_o grievous_a and_o intolerable_a burden_n of_o thy_o sin_n those_o daily_a though_o also_o unavoidable_a infirmity_n by_o which_o thou_o dishonour_v est_fw-fr god_n grieve_v his_o spirit_n wound_v thy_o own_o conscience_n under_o which_o thou_o cry_v out_o as_o a_o man_n distract_v o_o wretched_a man_n that_o i_o be_o where_o and_o by_o who_o shall_v i_o find_v deliverance_n why_o assure_v thyself_o the_o old_a man_n shall_v never_o more_o molest_v thou_o in_o heaven_n there_o be_v no_o entrance_n for_o this_o body_n of_o sin_n and_o death_n into_o life_n all_o the_o motion_n and_o stir_n of_o sin_n shall_v forever_o cease_v in_o that_o eternal_a rest_n be_v thou_o now_o overwhelm_v with_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n and_o do_v the_o smart_n of_o one_o affliction_n no_o soon_o wear_v off_o but_o the_o bitterness_n of_o another_o come_v in_o the_o room_n of_o it_o and_o be_v there_o thus_o daily_a a_o succession_n of_o they_o one_o after_o another_o for_o the_o trial_n and_o exercise_n of_o thy_o patience_n so_o that_o thou_o may_v say_v thou_o be_v continual_o a_o man_n of_o sorrow_n and_o acquaint_v with_o grief_n as_o thy_o lord_n and_o master_n be_v before_o thou_o why_o in_o heaven_n god_n shall_v wipe_v away_o all_o tear_n from_o thy_o eye_n and_o sorrow_n and_o sigh_v shall_v for_o ever_o fly_v away_o be_v thou_o now_o continual_o harass_v with_o temptation_n will_v not_o the_o evil_a one_o let_v thou_o rest_v day_n nor_o night_n but_o be_v perpetual_o haunt_v thou_o with_o horrid_a and_o blasphemous_a thought_n as_o black_a as_o hell_n itself_o can_v invent_v in_o heaven_n thou_o shall_v not_o only_o be_v out_o of_o the_o reach_n of_o his_o fiery_a dart_n but_o shall_v have_v a_o everliving_a fountain_n within_o thy_o soul_n that_o shall_v be_v eternal_o spring_v up_o in_o such_o spiritual_a contemplation_n and_o heavenly_a rapture_n beyond_o whatever_o thou_o be_v acquaint_v with_o in_o thy_o state_n of_o mortality_n even_o when_o thou_o be_v in_o the_o most_o spiritual_a and_o heavenly_a frame_n be_v thou_o here_o under_o cloud_n and_o desertion_n and_o do_v thou_o walk_v up_o and_o down_o mournful_o and_o disconsolate_o for_o want_v of_o the_o light_n of_o god_n countenance_n and_o the_o manifestation_n of_o his_o love_n and_o favour_n towards_o thou_o do_v god_n seem_v to_o hide_v his_o face_n from_o thou_o in_o anger_n and_o displeasure_n so_o that_o thou_o roar_v and_o cry_v out_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o disquietness_n of_o thy_o soul_n why_o in_o heaven_n all_o those_o cloud_n shall_v vanish_v away_o and_o thou_o shall_v have_v such_o clear_a and_o full_a discovery_n of_o god_n love_n and_o favour_n and_o the_o light_n of_o his_o countenance_n shall_v beat_v so_o full_o and_o everlasting_o upon_o thou_o that_o it_o be_v impossible_a thou_o shall_v be_v under_o the_o least_o fear_n or_o doubt_n thereof_o for_o ever_o for_o thou_o shall_v then_o no_o more_o see_v he_o through_o a_o glass_n dark_o but_o face_n to_o face_n without_o any_o interruption_n or_o obscurity_n to_o all_o eternity_n this_o now_o be_v something_o of_o that_o great_a and_o glorious_a reward_n that_o shall_v be_v bestow_v upon_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n but_o the_o fullness_n and_o perfection_n of_o it_o can_v be_v know_v but_o by_o enjoyment_n chap._n vi_o a_o essay_n towards_o the_o resolution_n of_o some_o question_n as_o 1._o whether_o the_o saint_n shall_v know_v one_o another_o in_o heaven_n 2._o whether_o there_o be_v different_a degree_n of_o glory_n in_o heaven_n 3._o how_o the_o saint_n be_v say_v to_o be_v equal_a with_o and_o like_v unto_o the_o angel_n in_o heaven_n 4_o in_o what_o respect_v heaven_n be_v call_v a_o reward_n or_o recompense_n some_o useful_a and_o necessary_a inference_n from_o the_o consideration_n of_o that_o happiness_n the_o saint_n shall_v enjoy_v in_o heaven_n deduce_v in_o order_n unto_o practice_n as_o 1._o hope_n of_o heaven_n shall_v make_v the_o world_n contemptible_a unto_o believer_n 2._o none_o that_o expect_v heaven_n hereafter_o shall_v be_v offend_v at_o any_o thing_n they_o meet_v with_o in_o their_o way_n thither_o 3_o expectation_n of_o heaven_n shall_v make_v christian_n live_v as_o those_o that_o be_v heir_n of_o so_o great_a a_o happiness_n 4._o frequent_a thought_n and_o meditation_n of_o heaven_n shall_v possess_v the_o mind_n of_o those_o that_o hope_v to_o partake_v of_o the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n 5._o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n shall_v put_v christian_n upon_o examine_v themselves_o what_o right_v and_o title_n they_o have_v thereunto_o 6._o hope_n and_o expectation_n of_o heaven_n hereafter_o shall_v reconcile_v to_o believer_n the_o thought_n of_o their_o own_o death_n and_o moderate_v their_o sorrow_n for_o the_o death_n of_o their_o godly_a friend_n and_o relation_n 7._o hope_n of_o heaven_n shall_v put_v christian_n upon_o unwearied_a diligence_n that_o be_v attend_v with_o such_o a_o reward_n 8._o the_o consideration_n of_o so_o great_a a_o happiness_n as_o heaven_n be_v shall_v cause_v in_o all_o believer_n a_o holy_a longing_n of_o soul_n after_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o it_o the_o conclusion_n that_o which_o remain_v to_o be_v discourse_v of_o before_o we_o come_v to_o the_o conclusion_n of_o this_o delightful_a subject_n be_v to_o endeavour_v to_o give_v some_o light_n into_o though_o not_o full_a solution_n of_o some_o question_n the_o answer_v whereof_o will_n tend_v much_o to_o the_o further_a illustration_n of_o the_o greatness_n of_o the_o saint_n happiness_n in_o heaven_n and_o here_o first_o some_o may_v be_v inquisitive_a whether_o the_o saint_n shall_v know_v one_o another_o in_o heaven_n or_o not_o to_o this_o i_o answer_v it_o be_v high_o probable_a that_o the_o saint_n shall_v know_v one_o another_o in_o heaven_n be_v adam_n enoch_n noah_n abraham_n isaac_n jacob_n david_n hezekiah_n josiah_n esay_n jeremiah_n daniel_n paul_n peter_n john_n with_o all_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o apostle_n saint_n and_o martyr_n of_o god_n in_o all_o age_n of_o who_o we_o have_v either_o read_v in_o scripture_n or_o hear_v of_o in_o history_n who_o have_v be_v eminent_a in_o grace_n and_o holiness_n some_o for_o their_o humility_n some_o for_o their_o meekness_n some_o for_o faith_n some_o for_o patience_n some_o for_o self-denial_n some_o for_o zeal_n some_o for_o contempt_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o like_a be_v all_o these_o bless_a saint_n of_o god_n live_v together_o at_o one_o time_n and_o in_o one_o place_n here_o on_o earth_n as_o they_o now_o be_v in_o heaven_n will_v not_o every_o godly_a man_n be_v great_o desirous_a if_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o see_v they_o and_o to_o live_v with_o they_o especial_o if_o there_o be_v none_o but_o such_o among_o they_o that_o they_o may_v be_v particular_o and_o distinct_o acquaint_v with_o they_o and_o will_v not_o this_o knowledge_n tend_v much_o to_o their_o delight_n and_o satisfaction_n sure_o it_o will_v and_o be_v it_o irrational_a to_o suppose_v that_o when_o all_o the_o saint_n that_o have_v live_v from_o the_o begin_n of_o the_o world_n unto_o the_o end_n of_o it_o shall_v all_o meet_v together_o in_o heaven_n that_o they_o may_v be_v desirous_a of_o a_o particular_a knowledge_n of_o one_o another_o then_o or_o be_v it_o so_o delightful_a and_o therefore_o so_o desirable_a a_o thing_n to_o be_v acquaint_v with_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n particular_o when_o they_o live_v here_o on_o earth_n when_o they_o be_v man_n of_o like_a passion_n and_o infirmity_n as_o we_o now_o be_v and_o will_v it_o not_o be_v a_o much_o more_o desirable_a thing_n to_o have_v a_o particular_a acquaintance_n with_o they_o in_o heaven_n when_o all_o their_o sin_n and_o imperfection_n shall_v be_v do_v away_o and_o they_o have_v nothing_o in_o they_o
arise_v again_o for_o their_o justification_n and_o glorification_n that_o this_o be_v he_o that_o with_o the_o price_n of_o his_o own_o blood_n not_o only_o buy_v their_o pardon_n but_o purchase_v that_o glorious_a inheritance_n for_o they_o which_o now_o they_o be_v instate_v into_o the_o possession_n of_o this_o must_v needs_o put_v a_o new_a life_n of_o joy_n into_o their_o soul_n and_o create_v a_o new_a kind_n of_o happiness_n in_o they_o which_o they_o never_o be_v acquaint_v with_o nor_o be_v it_o possible_a for_o they_o to_o understand_v before_o christ_n be_v the_o desire_n of_o all_o nation_n the_o joy_n of_o angel_n the_o delight_n of_o god_n himself_o he_o in_o who_o he_o be_v always_o well_o please_v all_o the_o glory_n and_o happiness_n of_o heaven_n be_v wrap_v up_o in_o he_o the_o treasure_n of_o the_o divine_a wisdom_n love_n and_o kindness_n which_o be_v sometime_o hide_v and_o conceal_v be_v now_o lay_v open_a in_o heaven_n to_o the_o view_n of_o all_o the_o saint_n o_o with_o what_o ravish_v joy_n and_o delight_n than_o must_v those_o soul_n be_v eternal_o fill_v with_o that_o live_v in_o the_o sight_n &_o possession_n of_o he_o as_o they_o for_o ever_o be_v not_o his_o love_n better_o than_o wine_n will_v not_o the_o lift_n up_o of_o the_o light_n of_o his_o countenance_n upon_o the_o soul_n administer_v more_o cause_n of_o joy_n and_o rejoice_v than_o the_o great_a increase_n of_o all_o worldly_a enjoyment_n whatsoever_o o_o be_v not_o this_o the_o language_n of_o holy_a soul_n his_o love_n be_v life_n yea_o his_o love_a kindness_n and_o because_o he_o live_v glorify_v in_o heaven_n therefore_o shall_v believer_n live_v with_o he_o there_o and_o therefore_o also_o shall_v they_o be_v the_o more_o desirous_a to_o be_v there_o resurrection_n will_v do_v more_o for_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n than_o a_o college_n of_o the_o able_a physician_n ever_o can_v do_v for_o it_o will_v at_o once_o perfect_o cure_v they_o of_o all_o their_o infirmity_n and_o distemper_n which_o all_o the_o physician_n here_o on_o earth_n can_v never_o do_v alas_o they_o can_v only_o give_v some_o case_n and_o relief_n under_o some_o particular_a distemper_n and_o that_o but_o for_o a_o little_a time_n but_o they_o soon_o return_v again_o or_o
other_o come_v in_o their_o room_n which_o prove_v incurable_a and_o terminate_v in_o death_n but_o when_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v be_v raise_v out_o of_o their_o grave_n at_o the_o general_a resurrection_n they_o shall_v perfect_o be_v heal_v of_o all_o their_o distemper_n and_o shall_v die_v no_o more_o for_o than_o shall_v be_v bring_v to_o pass_v that_o say_n that_o be_v write_v death_n be_v swallow_v up_o in_o victory_n 1_o cr._n 15.54_o second_o in_o heaven_n the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v become_v spiritual_a not_o that_o they_o shall_v be_v change_v into_o spiritual_a substance_n and_o so_o become_v absolute_o spiritual_a for_o than_o they_o must_v cease_v to_o be_v body_n but_o yet_o they_o shall_v become_v spiritual_a because_o they_o shall_v natural_a body_n it_o be_v raise_v a_o spiritual_a body_n now_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n be_v say_v to_o be_v spiritual_a in_o these_o respect_n first_o because_o in_o heaven_n they_o shall_v be_v in_o a_o condition_n that_o be_v spiritual_a their_o body_n shall_v then_o stand_v in_o no_o more_o need_n of_o meat_n or_o drink_v sleep_n or_o apparel_n the_o now_o necessary_a and_o appoint_a mean_n for_o its_o supportation_n in_o heaven_n there_o be_v no_o eat_v or_o drink_v no_o marry_v or_o give_v in_o marriage_n but_o we_o shall_v there_o be_v as_o the_o angel_n of_o god_n so_o say_v our_o lord_n matth._n 22.30_o if_o moses_n in_o this_o state_n of_o mortality_n whilst_o he_o be_v with_o god_n in_o the_o mount_n forty_o day_n and_o forty_o night_n do_v neither_o eat_v bread_n nor_o drink_n water_n as_o we_o read_v exod._n 34_o 28._o how_o much_o more_o shall_v the_o saint_n be_v enable_v to_o live_v without_o the_o use_n of_o these_o thing_n when_o they_o come_v to_o heaven_n where_o they_o shall_v always_o live_v in_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n second_o the_o spirituality_n of_o the_o saint_n body_n in_o heaven_n consist_v in_o that_o entire_a and_o absolute_a subjection_n they_o shall_v then_o be_v in_o unto_o their_o spirit_n in_o this_o life_n the_o soul_n be_v debase_v make_v to_o stoop_v and_o become_v serviceable_a to_o the_o flesh_n and_o when_o it_o be_v at_o the_o best_a with_o the_o saint_n there_o be_v still_o a_o contention_n and_o strife_n between_o the_o spirit_n and_o the_o flesh_n so_o that_o when_o the_o spirit_n be_v willing_a the_o flesh_n be_v weak_a nay_o often_o refractory_a but_o in_o heaven_n there_o shall_v be_v a_o absolute_a subjection_n of_o the_o body_n to_o the_o spirit_n what_o a_o great_a happiness_n will_v a_o godly_a man_n now_o count_v it_o to_o have_v a_o body_n every_o way_n serviceable_a to_o his_o soul_n that_o whenever_o the_o soul_n move_v god_n ward_n and_o heaven-ward_n in_o any_o holy_a duty_n the_o body_n may_v willing_o and_o ready_o comply_v with_o it_o how_o delightful_a will_v this_o make_v a_o godly_a man_n life_n to_o be_v why_o in_o heaven_n it_o shall_v be_v so_o in_o that_o state_n of_o glory_n and_o happiness_n the_o soul_n shall_v not_o depend_v upon_o the_o body_n but_o the_o body_n upon_o the_o soul_n for_o the_o body_n shall_v then_o become_v spiritual_a because_o it_o shall_v be_v perfect_o serviceable_a to_o the_o spirit_n this_o certain_o will_v be_v a_o bless_a time_n saint_n therefore_o shall_v long_o for_o its_o approach_n three_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n shall_v be_v spiritual_a in_o regard_n they_o will_v then_o be_v more_o capable_a of_o and_o more_o fit_v for_o spiritual_a use_v and_o service_n nothing_o that_o be_v of_o a_o earthy_a dreggy_a nature_n shall_v then_o cleave_v to_o they_o all_o carnal_a sordid_a employment_n be_v great_o below_o they_o their_o work_n be_v altogether_o heavenly_a and_o spiritual_a former_o their_o time_n and_o strength_n be_v lay_v out_o upon_o employment_n that_o be_v earthly_a suitable_a unto_o their_o then_o earthly_a body_n but_o now_o that_o their_o body_n be_v change_v and_o of_o earthly_a become_v spiritual_a their_o employment_n be_v change_v and_o become_v spiritual_a also_o and_o because_o there_o be_v such_o a_o change_n in_o the_o employment_n of_o their_o body_n it_o be_v a_o evident_a demonstration_n that_o there_o be_v a_o change_n make_v in_o their_o body_n also_o heretofore_o the_o world_n be_v the_o habitation_n in_o which_o their_o body_n dwell_v and_o their_o design_n then_o be_v worldly_a also_o but_o now_o that_o they_o be_v remove_v from_o earth_n to_o heaven_n the_o habitation_n of_o spirit_n their_o body_n be_v refine_v and_o make_v spiritual_a suitable_a unto_o the_o habitation_n to_o the_o inhabitant_n to_o the_o employment_n and_o enjoyment_n that_o be_v there_o which_o be_v altogether_o spiritual_a three_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n shall_v be_v full_a of_o power_n and_o agility_n they_o be_v sow_o say_v the_o apostle_n in_o weakness_n they_o be_v frail_a sinful_a body_n and_o therefore_o they_o must_v die_v yet_o shall_v they_o be_v raise_v in_o power_n now_o this_o power_n and_o agility_n that_o shall_v be_v bestow_v upon_o glorify_a body_n be_v very_o wonderful_a be_v that_o whereby_o they_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o move_v to_o and_o fro_o in_o heaven_n according_a as_o the_o will_n shall_v command_v it_o without_o difficulty_n or_o weariness_n and_o possible_o so_o as_o to_o be_v able_a to_o keep_v pace_n even_o with_o angel_n themselves_o in_o their_o motion_n and_o consider_v the_o spaciousness_n of_o heaven_n that_o place_n where_o god_n christ_n and_o those_o multitude_n of_o glorious_a saint_n and_o angel_n do_v inhabit_v this_o agility_n of_o body_n may_v be_v very_o necessary_a now_o there_o be_v two_o reason_n why_o it_o be_v so_o necessary_a that_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v be_v thus_o strong_a and_o powerful_a first_o that_o hereby_o they_o may_v be_v able_a to_o attend_v the_o operation_n of_o their_o soul_n and_o become_v fit_a for_o such_o work_n as_o in_o heaven_n they_o must_v be_v employ_v in_o be_v their_o body_n as_o weak_a and_o feeble_a in_o heaven_n as_o they_o now_o be_v on_o earth_n they_o can_v never_o undergo_v such_o work_n and_o motion_n as_o they_o must_v be_v employ_v in_o there_o but_o they_o will_v soon_o tire_v and_o faint_a scripture_n and_o experience_n tell_v we_o this_o that_o when_o the_o soul_n be_v exercise_v about_o any_o high_a and_o glorious_a object_n the_o body_n present_o sink_v and_o fail_v so_o it_o be_v in_o the_o ecstasy_n of_o the_o prophet_n when_o god_n do_v reveal_v himself_o in_o a_o extraordinary_a manner_n unto_o daniel_n his_o body_n fail_v he_o faint_v and_o be_v sick_a many_o day_n dan._n 8.27_o but_o now_o in_o heaven_n the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n shall_v be_v so_o strong_a and_o powerful_a that_o they_o shall_v become_v serviceable_a to_o their_o soul_n in_o their_o high_a and_o most_o glorious_a operation_n here_o the_o people_n of_o god_n have_v soul_n willing_a to_o serve_v the_o lord_n that_o will_v fain_o attend_v upon_o he_o in_o his_o ordinance_n and_o never_o be_v weary_a or_o drowsy_a but_o though_o the_o spirit_n be_v willing_a yet_o the_o flesh_n be_v weak_a their_o frail_a body_n can_v keep_v pace_n with_o their_o soul_n in_o duty_n thus_o be_v it_o continual_o with_o they_o here_o but_o in_o heaven_n it_o shall_v be_v otherwise_o their_o body_n shall_v then_o be_v as_o good_a companion_n for_o their_o soul_n as_o they_o can_v desire_v and_o both_o together_o shall_v praise_v god_n with_o eternal_a hallelujah_n and_o never_o be_v weary_a second_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o the_o body_n of_o the_o saint_n in_o heaven_n shall_v be_v strong_a and_o powerful_a because_o otherwise_o they_o be_v not_o able_a to_o bear_v that_o weight_n of_o glory_n and_o happiness_n that_o there_o they_o shall_v be_v partaker_n of_o we_o be_v easy_o persuade_v to_o believe_v that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v so_o miserable_a that_o he_o can_v bear_v it_o but_o it_o be_v as_o true_a that_o man_n high_a happiness_n can_v be_v bear_v by_o the_o strength_n he_o now_o have_v extraordinary_a joy_n will_v overcome_v and_o destroy_v as_o well_o as_o extraordinary_a sorrow_n i_o have_v hear_v of_o one_o who_o a_o great_a king_n in_o this_o nation_n cause_v to_o be_v imprison_v and_o throw_v into_o a_o dungeon_n where_o lie_v hourly_o in_o expectation_n of_o lose_v his_o life_n be_v sudden_o surprise_v with_o news_n of_o a_o pardon_n his_o joy_n be_v so_o great_a that_o it_o overwhelm_v his_o spirit_n and_o he_o die_v immediate_o the_o condition_n of_o our_o body_n here_o be_v a_o condition_n of_o weakness_n and_o frallty_n and_o the_o glory_n and_o happiness_n of_o
our_o salvation_n be_v it_o not_o there_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v for_o ever_o out_o of_o the_o reach_n of_o satan_n temptation_n with_o which_o a_o believer_n be_v so_o assault_v and_o harass_v here_o as_o render_v his_o life_n not_o only_o uncomfortable_a but_o even_o burdensome_a to_o himself_o be_v it_o not_o there_o that_o our_o frail_a body_n which_o now_o be_v subject_a to_o pain_n and_o disease_n because_o defile_v with_o sin_n shall_v be_v for_o ever_o loose_v from_o all_o weakness_n and_o infirmity_n be_v make_v like_o unto_o the_o glorious_a body_n of_o jesus_n christ_n perfect_o free_v from_o mortality_n and_o corruption_n and_o from_o all_o sin_n and_o defilement_n be_v it_o not_o there_o that_o all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n shall_v be_v of_o one_o heart_n and_o of_o one_o mind_n that_o be_v take_v away_o both_o from_o within_o and_o from_o without_o which_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o all_o their_o division_n and_o contention_n here_o on_o earth_n and_o instead_o thereof_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o sweet_a union_n of_o heart_n and_o affection_n all_o of_o they_o abundant_o delight_v and_o satisfy_v themselves_o in_o one_o god_n as_o the_o object_n of_o their_o happiness_n without_o the_o least_o jar_a or_o discord_n among_o they_o to_o all_o eternity_n while_o the_o people_n of_o god_n be_v in_o this_o veil_n of_o tear_n they_o labour_v under_o much_o blindness_n and_o ignorance_n about_o the_o mystery_n of_o salvation_n as_o reveal_v in_o the_o gospel_n but_o in_o heaven_n these_o mystery_n shall_v all_o be_v full_o and_o perfect_o make_v know_v to_o we_o in_o this_o life_n we_o take_v in_o our_o knowledge_n of_o god_n of_o heaven_n and_o of_o the_o gospel_n by_o which_o we_o be_v save_o enlighten_v in_o either_o by_o little_a and_o little_a as_o a_o man_n that_o desire_v to_o know_v what_o be_v contain_v in_o a_o book_n before_o it_o be_v expose_v to_o public_a view_n read_v it_o sheet_n by_o sheet_n from_o the_o press_n and_o so_o understand_v a_o little_a and_o a_o little_a of_o it_o by_o degree_n and_o true_o so_o do_v christian_n concern_v the_o mystery_n of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n now_o they_o hear_v a_o sermon_n and_o by_o that_o they_o gain_v a_o little_a light_n and_o in_o some_o short_a time_n they_o hear_v another_o sermon_n and_o by_o that_o they_o increase_v their_o light_n a_o little_a more_o and_o thus_o their_o stock_n of_o divine_a knowledge_n increase_v a_o little_a and_o a_o little_a at_o time_n by_o the_o help_n of_o mean_n and_o opportunity_n that_o they_o enjoy_v but_o now_o in_o heaven_n all_o be_v do_v without_o travail_n or_o trouble_v for_o though_o it_o be_v true_a glorify_a saint_n there_o cease_v not_o from_o work_v yet_o be_v it_o as_o true_a that_o they_o cease_v from_o labour_n here_o our_o passion_n be_v strong_a and_o prevalent_a by_o reason_n whereof_o our_o mind_n be_v blind_v and_o we_o easy_o mistake_v error_n for_o truth_n and_o truth_n for_o error_n but_o hereafter_o all_o these_o cloud_n shall_v be_v blow_v away_o and_o we_o shall_v see_v thing_n naked_o and_o true_o as_o they_o be_v in_o themselves_o here_o the_o weakness_n and_o smallness_n of_o many_o man_n natural_a part_n keep_v they_o in_o the_o dark_a and_o render_v they_o incapable_a of_o apprehend_v some_o truth_n of_o god_n which_o other_o of_o great_a ability_n can_v search_v into_o with_o pleasure_n and_o delight_n but_o then_o as_o the_o apostle_n speak_v concern_v the_o day_n of_o judgement_n tell_v we_o they_o that_o be_v alive_a then_o shall_v not_o prevent_v those_o that_o be_v asleep_a so_o in_o heaven_n they_o that_o be_v strong_a shall_v not_o prevent_v those_o that_o be_v weak_a but_o the_o scholar_n shall_v there_o know_v as_o much_o as_o his_o master_n and_o the_o people_n understand_v as_o much_o as_o their_o minister_n in_o this_o world_n contention_n and_o quarrelling_n among_o holy_a and_o learned_a man_n leave_v the_o weak_a and_o ignorant_a at_o great_a uncertainty_n what_o to_o judge_n concern_v many_o gospel_n truth_n but_o in_o heaven_n there_o shall_v be_v a_o perfect_a reconciliation_n and_o agreement_n among_o they_o all_o yea_o while_o we_o be_v here_o it_o often_o fall_v out_o that_o in_o our_o most_o diligent_a search_v after_o truth_n we_o meet_v with_o many_o hindrance_n and_o disturbance_n sometime_o the_o necessary_a affair_n of_o this_o world_n cause_v we_o to_o lay_v aside_o our_o inquiry_n at_o other_o time_n many_o distemper_n that_o attend_v our_o infirm_a body_n divert_v and_o hinder_v we_o in_o our_o most_o serious_a inquisition_n but_o in_o heaven_n our_o body_n will_v be_v above_o all_o these_o thing_n we_o shall_v there_o no_o more_o be_v liable_a to_o nor_o annoy_v with_o any_o weakness_n and_o infirmity_n in_o that_o glorious_a place_n we_o shall_v not_o need_v to_o provide_v either_o raiment_n for_o the_o back_n or_o food_n for_o the_o belly_n o_o what_o a_o happiness_n have_v believer_n by_o die_v who_o be_v thereby_o at_o once_o ease_v of_o all_o the_o ache_n of_o their_o body_n and_o of_o all_o the_o conflict_n of_o their_o soul_n how_o comfortable_o may_v they_o look_v death_n in_o the_o face_n who_o be_v the_o only_a physician_n that_o cure_v they_o of_o all_o their_o distemper_n at_o once_o o_o when_o that_o bless_a hour_n come_v how_o joyful_o may_v they_o lift_v up_o their_o head_n for_o as_o soon_o as_o they_o be_v pass_v through_o that_o dark_a and_o gloomy_a valley_n they_o shall_v be_v bring_v into_o a_o place_n of_o unconceivable_a bliss_n and_o happiness_n where_o they_o shall_v behold_v he_o who_o their_o soul_n so_o much_o love_v and_o long_v to_o see_v even_o their_o bless_a redeemer_n the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n not_o at_o a_o distance_n or_o afar_o off_o as_o they_o be_v wont_a to_o do_v by_o a_o eye_n of_o faith_n through_o the_o glass_n of_o a_o ordinance_n or_o promise_n but_o with_o a_o glorify_a eye_n draw_v near_o to_o he_o and_o look_v upon_o his_o bless_a person_n the_o glorious_a sight_n of_o who_o they_o shall_v never_o more_o lose_v to_o all_o eternity_n when_o a_o believer_n shall_v not_o as_o here_o he_o have_v now_o and_o then_o some_o little_a glimpse_n of_o his_o face_n and_o some_o small_a taste_n of_o his_o love_n in_o a_o little_a sacramental_a bread_n and_o wine_n but_o he_o shall_v lay_v his_o mouth_n to_o the_o fountain_n head_n and_o from_o his_o bosom_n drink_v full_a and_o large_a draught_n of_o those_o river_n of_o the_o water_n of_o life_n that_o proceed_v out_o of_o the_o throne_n of_o god_n and_o of_o the_o lamb_n for_o evermore_o he_o shall_v then_o no_o more_o have_v any_o description_n of_o heaven_n by_o fear_n say_v as_o he_o be_v wont_a to_o have_v it_o describe_v to_o he_o here_o by_o the_o sorry_a rhetoric_n of_o a_o mortal_a man_n either_o by_o preach_v or_o write_v of_o that_o which_o he_o himself_o have_v little_a love_n to_o and_o less_o knowledge_n and_o acquaintance_n with_o but_o shall_v himself_o walk_v up_o and_o down_o and_o view_v the_o street_n of_o that_o glorious_a city_n and_o o_o with_o what_o wonder_n and_o astonishment_n will_v a_o believer_n bless_v himself_o there_o when_o he_o reflect_v back_o upon_o those_o poor_a and_o low_a thought_n that_o himself_o and_o the_o best_a of_o preacher_n also_o have_v thereof_o when_o on_o earth_n he_o do_v meditate_v and_o they_o do_v preach_v or_o write_v upon_o that_o subject_a one_o moment_n sight_n of_o that_o glory_n will_v give_v the_o soul_n a_o thousand_o time_n better_a information_n and_o satisfaction_n what_o heaven_n be_v than_o all_o the_o discourse_n that_o it_o ever_o hear_v or_o all_o the_o book_n it_o ever_o read_v here_o on_o earth_n be_v ever_o able_a to_o do_v and_o can_v thou_o o_o believer_n hear_v all_o this_o concern_v heaven_n and_o thy_o faith_n tell_v thou_o that_o all_o this_o be_v true_a and_o add_v also_o that_o heaven_n be_v ten_o thousand_o time_n more_o
