nothing_o more_o meet_a to_o nourish_v the_o body_n than_o bread_n and_o wine_n so_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o choose_v these_o sign_n without_o a_o reason_n as_o the_o sign_n in_o the_o sacrament_n be_v not_o always_o one_o so_o the_o same_o in_o both_o be_v not_o of_o one_o number_n for_o in_o baptism_n we_o have_v but_o one_o element_n in_o this_o sacrament_n we_o have_v two_o element_n now_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n of_o this_o diversity_n that_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o one_o sacrament_n two_o why_o in_o baptism_n there_o be_v but_o one_o sign_n and_o in_o the_o lord_n supper_n two_o have_v appoint_v two_o sign_n and_o in_o the_o other_o but_o one_o sign_n i_o will_v show_v you_o the_o reason_n he_o have_v appoint_v only_o one_o sign_n in_o baptism_n to_o wit_n water_n because_o water_n be_v sufficient_a enough_o for_o the_o whole_a if_o water_n have_v not_o be_v sufficient_a to_o represent_v the_o thing_n signify_v he_o will_v have_v appoint_v another_o sign_n but_o in_o account_v faith_n a_o imagination_n of_o the_o mind_n a_o fantasy_n and_o opinion_n fleet_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n i_o can_v blame_v they_o to_o think_v so_o of_o faith_n for_o as_o none_o can_v judge_v of_o the_o sweetness_n of_o honey_n but_o they_o that_o have_v taste_v of_o it_o so_o there_o be_v none_o can_v discern_v nor_o judge_v of_o the_o nature_n of_o faith_n but_o they_o that_o have_v feel_v it_o and_o ra_v in_o their_o heart_n what_o it_o be_v and_o if_o they_o have_v taste_v and_o feel_v in_o their_o soul_n what_o faith_n bring_v with_o it_o alas_o they_o will_v not_o call_v that_o spiritual_a jewel_n and_o only_a jewel_n of_o the_o soul_n a_o imagination_n they_o call_v it_o a_o imagination_n and_o the_o apostle_n describe_v it_o heb._n 11.1_o call_v it_o a_o substance_n and_o a_o substantial_a ground_n mark_v how_o well_o these_o two_o agree_v a_o imagination_n and_o a_o substantial_a ground_n they_o call_v it_o a_o uncertain_a opinion_n fleet_v in_o the_o brain_n and_o fantasy_n of_o man_n he_o call_v it_o a_o evidence_n and_o demonstration_n in_o the_o same_o definition_n see_v how_o direct_o contrary_a the_o apostle_n and_o they_o be_v in_o the_o nature_n of_o faith_n upon_o this_o they_o infer_v that_o as_o it_o be_v true_a in_o general_n he_o can_v not_o be_v deliver_v nor_o give_v but_o that_o same_o way_n that_o he_o be_v receive_v and_o look_v what_o way_n any_o thing_n be_v receive_v the_o same_o way_n it_o be_v give_v and_o deliver_v so_o as_o they_o say_v he_o be_v receive_v by_o way_n of_o imagination_n he_o be_v also_o in_o their_o fantasy_n give_v and_o deliver_v by_o way_n of_o imagination_n for_o if_o he_o be_v not_o give_v say_v they_o to_o thy_o hand_n to_o thy_o mouth_n nor_o to_o thy_o stomach_n corporal_o he_o can_v be_v give_v but_o by_o a_o imagination_n and_o fantastical_a opinion_n the_o reason_n that_o move_v they_o to_o think_v that_o christ_n can_v be_v they_o nor_o give_v to_o they_o true_o in_o effect_n and_o real_o except_o he_o be_v give_v carnal_o be_v this_o that_o thing_n which_o be_v so_o far_o absent_a and_o distant_a from_o we_o as_o the_o heaven_n be_v from_o the_o earth_n can_v be_v say_v to_o be_v give_v to_o we_o nor_o to_o be_v we_o but_o by_o your_o own_o confession_n say_v they_o to_o we_o christ_n his_o body_n be_v as_o far_o absent_a from_o we_o as_o the_o we_o or_o any_o way_n to_o be_v we_o now_o whether_o be_v this_o proposition_n true_a or_o false_a i_o say_v this_o proposition_n be_v untrue_a and_o the_o contrary_n most_o true_a a_o thing_n may_v be_v give_v to_o we_o &_o may_v become_v we_o though_o the_o thing_n in_o person_n itself_o be_v as_o far_o distant_a from_o we_o as_o the_o heaven_n be_v from_o the_o earth_n and_o how_o prove_v i_o this_o what_o make_v any_o thing_n to_o be_v we_o what_o make_v any_o of_o you_o esteem_v a_o thing_n to_o be_v give_v unto_o you_o be_v it_o not_o a_o title_n be_v it_o not_o a_o just_a right_n to_o that_o thing_n if_o you_o have_v just_o right_o give_v unto_o you_o by_o he_o who_o have_v power_n to_o give_v it_o and_o a_o sure_a title_n confirm_v to_o you_o by_o he_o who_o have_v the_o power_n though_o the_o thing_n that_o he_o give_v unto_o you_o be_v not_o deliver_v into_o your_o hand_n yet_o by_o the_o right_n and_o title_n which_o he_o grant_v to_o you_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n you_o there_o be_v no_o doubt_n of_o it_o for_o it_o be_v not_o the_o nearness_n of_o the_o thing_n to_o my_o body_n and_o to_o my_o hand_n that_o make_v the_o thing_n i_o for_o it_o may_v be_v in_o my_o growth_n and_o increase_n of_o our_o faith_n for_o the_o increase_n of_o our_o holiness_n and_o sanctification_n which_o faith_n the_o great_a that_o it_o be_v in_o our_o heart_n the_o more_o sure_a of_o this_o preparation_n when_o he_o say_v let_v every_o man_n and_o let_v every_o woman_n try_v and_o examine_v themselves_o as_o if_o he_o will_v say_v let_v every_o one_o of_o you_o try_v and_o examine_v your_o soul_n that_o be_v try_v the_o estate_n of_o your_o own_o heart_n and_o condition_n of_o your_o own_o conscience_n mark_v and_o behold_v in_o what_o estate_n you_o heart_n be_v with_o god_n and_o in_o what_o estate_n your_o conscience_n be_v with_o your_o neighbour_n he_o bid_v not_o your_o neighbour_n to_o try_v you_o he_o bid_v not_o your_o companion_n to_o try_v your_o hart_n get_v word_n enough_o to_o express_v this_o he_o know_v not_o how_o to_o begin_v nor_o how_o to_o end_v when_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o riches_n of_o that_o mercy_n and_o if_o you_o look_v well_o into_o that_o epistle_n to_o the_o ephesian_n you_o shall_v find_v more_o high_a and_o excellent_a style_n give_v to_o the_o riches_n of_o that_o mercy_n in_o that_o epistle_n then_o in_o any_o other_o part_n of_o the_o scripture_n it_o please_v he_o i_o say_v of_o his_o own_o mercy_n not_o to_o give_v we_o simple_o the_o image_n which_o we_o lose_v nor_o to_o leave_v we_o in_o this_o earth_n but_o it_o please_v he_o to_o give_v we_o a_o better_a image_n and_o beside_o that_o to_o place_v we_o in_o heaven_n there_o to_o remain_v with_o he_o for_o ever_o now_o rest_v his_o mercy_n and_o grace_n here_o no_o but_o that_o this_o salvation_n which_o he_o have_v already_o purchase_v and_o bring_v about_o by_o his_o son_n our_o saviour_n christ_n jesus_n that_o it_o may_v be_v whole_o accomplish_v have_v nothing_o want_v in_o it_o as_o he_o redeem_v we_o in_o his_o own_o person_n perfect_o so_o he_o make_v this_o same_o redemption_n to_o come_v to_o our_o knowledge_n and_o make_v we_o sure_o of_o it_o in_o our_o conscience_n and_o to_o this_o end_n what_o do_v he_o as_o by_o his_o death_n he_o purchase_v our_o full_a redemption_n so_o he_o make_v it_o know_v unto_o we_o he_o intimate_v it_o unto_o we_o by_o our_o inward_a call_n let_v we_o both_o find_v and_o feel_v in_o our_o heart_n what_o he_o do_v in_o his_o body_n for_o us._n for_o our_o lord_n when_o he_o make_v his_o servant_n to_o proclaim_v this_o redemption_n and_o to_o intimate_v it_o to_o our_o conscience_n he_o work_v this_o jewel_n of_o faith_n in_o our_o soul_n which_o assure_v we_o that_o the_o son_n of_o god_n have_v die_v for_o we_o for_o what_o can_v it_o avail_v we_o to_o see_v our_o redemption_n to_o see_v our_o salvation_n and_o our_o life_n a_o far_o off_o if_o a_o way_n be_v not_o find_v out_o &_o a_o hand_n and_o mean_v give_v unto_o we_o whereby_o we_o may_v apprehend_v that_o salvation_n and_o apply_v it_o to_o ourselves_o what_o can_v it_o avail_v a_o sick_a man_n to_o see_v a_o drug_n in_o a_o apothecary_n shop_n except_o he_o may_v have_v it_o and_o apply_v it_o to_o his_o sick_a body_n so_o to_o the_o end_n that_o this_o work_n of_o our_o redemption_n and_o salvation_n may_v be_v full_o and_o free_o accomplish_v look_v how_o free_o he_o have_v give_v his_o only_a son_n to_o the_o death_n of_o the_o cross_n for_o we_o as_o free_o have_v he_o find_v out_o this_o way_n and_o mean_n and_o offer_v we_o this_o hand_n whereby_o we_o may_v take_v hold_n on_o christ_n and_o apply_v he_o to_o our_o soul_n this_o mean_n to_o conclude_v be_v faith_n there_o be_v
