â—herefore_o he_o have_v find_v his_o soul_n so_o 〈◊〉_d also_o â—ust_z he_o again_o lose_v it_o as_o before_o he_o 〈◊〉_d do_v be_v body_n so_o as_o he_o shall_v never_o firâ—â—â—ed_v it_o such_o a_o self_n and_o there_o be_v no_o more_o mountain_n or_o valley_n but_o god_n alone_o for_o nature_n be_v quite_o shut_v out_o chap._n v._n if_o sin_n be_v not_o neither_o will_v death_n be_v if_o death_n be_v not_o neither_o will_v there_o be_v a_o resurrection_n therefore_o all_o thing_n work_v together_o for_o good_a for_o the_o elect_a now_o that_o which_o first_o depart_v from_o earthly_a thing_n be_v present_o after_o elevate_v into_o divine_a and_o so_o remain_v in_o itself_o without_o death_n for_o though_o it_o may_v die_v as_o to_o its_o gross_a earthly_a nature_n or_o creature_n yet_o as_o to_o its_o self_n it_o be_v without_o death_n as_o have_v only_o change_v one_o state_n into_o another_o and_o stand_v still_o in_o its_o own_o life_n and_o yet_o be_v but_o the_o natural_a man_n in_o his_o own_o propriety_n though_o in_o a_o more_o pure_a estate_n and_o thus_o he_o proceed_v from_o state_n to_o state_n from_o a_o low_a to_o a_o high_a from_o a_o pure_a one_o to_o one_o more_o pure_a and_o although_o all_o that_o be_v here_o say_v of_o state_n be_v by_o the_o mean_n of_o death_n and_o corruption_n accomplish_v yet_o the_o man_n himself_o remain_v yet_o in_o himself_o without_o and_o beyond_o death_n and_o corruption_n for_o he_o be_v still_o the_o same_o and_o can_v forsake_v his_o propriety_n and_o stand_v in_o desire_n as_o to_o god_n as_o he_o before_o stand_v desire_n as_o also_o that_o i_o place_v more_o confidence_n in_o the_o lord_n then_o in_o my_o own_o letter_n be_v fix_v in_o this_o firm_a hope_n that_o he_o will_v direct_v all_o thing_n to_o the_o best_a end_n and_o that_o he_o will_v apply_v a_o remedy_n to_o all_o distraction_n of_o thy_o heart_n and_o that_o he_o will_v thrust_v they_o all_o under_o his_o obedience_n for_o even_o as_o i_o myself_o according_a to_o my_o simple_a way_n do_v confide_v in_o the_o lord_n alone_o in_o all_o my_o necessity_n wait_v for_o help_v from_o he_o only_o so_o also_o i_o judge_v the_o like_a of_o thou_o with_o firm_a belief_n that_o the_o lord_n will_v out_o of_o his_o compassion_n behold_v and_o look_v upon_o thy_o case_n and_o will_v deliver_v thou_o from_o all_o thy_o trouble_n of_o heart_n the_o same_o person_n my_o john_n i_o receive_v thy_o letter_n together_o with_o the_o book_n and_o have_v somewhat_o peruse_v they_o i_o gain_v the_o understanding_n of_o the_o great_a part_n of_o cross_n and_o be_v once_o dead_a be_v not_o again_o revive_v now_o i_o judge_v that_o nature_n in_o these_o people_n be_v still_o egregious_o and_o in_o very_a deed_n and_o especial_o alive_a although_o they_o may_v think_v that_o they_o be_v already_o purify_v because_o that_o they_o persuade_v themselves_o through_o their_o ignorance_n and_o blindness_n that_o they_o have_v already_o plain_o conquer_v that_o combat_n of_o a_o accuse_a conscience_n i_o write_v all_o this_o to_o thou_o with_o the_o great_a brevity_n because_o thou_o do_v demand_v my_o opinion_n but_o when_o god_n qualify_v by_o the_o lord_n the_o misery_n defect_n and_o death_n of_o nature_n be_v rather_o to_o be_v bear_v with_o then_o to_o fly_v to_o complaint_n anger_n and_o murmur_n suffer_v and_o hold_v thy_o tongue_n and_o thou_o shal_v be_v advance_v with_o help_n and_o assistance_n break_v not_o out_o into_o word_n but_o repress_v their_o motion_n flee_v not_o from_o the_o affliction_n of_o thy_o try_v how_o it_o will_v be_v to_o be_v distract_v and_o draw_v hither_o and_o thither_o by_o a_o waver_a kind_n of_o zeal_n nor_o ever_o to_o get_v free_a from_o accusation_n of_o that_o sort_n and_o much_o less_o to_o be_v strengthen_v by_o a_o firm_a faith_n of_o mind_n but_o to_o be_v always_o vex_v and_o torment_v with_o anxious_a thought_n of_o heart_n partly_o through_o the_o so_o often_o repeat_v pang_n and_o prick_v of_o conscience_n inward_o and_o partly_o by_o the_o unspeakable_a hot_a zeal_n of_o the_o many_o contender_n about_o the_o truth_n outward_o they_o become_v wrack_v in_o so_o miserable_a a_o manner_n that_o at_o the_o last_o they_o grow_v whole_o ignorant_a which_o way_n to_o take_v or_o turn_v themselves_o for_o so_o long_o as_o a_o man_n be_v still_o hold_v captive_a in_o himself_o by_o any_o kind_n of_o iniquity_n whatsoever_o and_o be_v in_o the_o inward_o of_o his_o soul_n private_o accuse_v of_o it_o and_o yet_o he_o give_v no_o due_a heed_n thereunto_o be_v ignorant_a how_o he_o may_v get_v free_a therefrom_o and_o study_v and_o endeavour_v what_o he_o can_v to_o defend_v it_o either_o by_o scripture-saying_n or_o by_o some_o other_o way_n which_o still_o hold_v he_o in_o this_o error_n nor_o yet_o be_v he_o for_o all_o this_o free_v from_o it_o in_o his_o mind_n his_o conscience_n all_o this_o while_n free_o prompt_v and_o tell_v he_o whether_o he_o do_v well_o or_o ill_a and_o notwithstanding_o he_o endeavour_v to_o pacify_v his_o conscience_n by_o these_o or_o such_o like_a way_n yet_o he_o shall_v find_v that_o all_o this_o in_o this_o point_n therefore_o let_v every_o one_o try_v himself_o and_o let_v no_o man_n deceive_v himself_o flatter_v himself_o with_o sugar_a word_n for_o the_o day_n will_v manifest_v all_o
