from_o the_o sense_n of_o taste_n a._n as_o the_o body_n can_v live_v without_o the_o taste_n of_o material_a food_n so_o the_o soul_n can_v live_v without_o the_o taste_n of_o god_n word_n as_o natural_a heat_n preserve_v the_o body_n so_o the_o heat_n of_o love_n and_o charity_n preserve_v the_o soul_n every_o live_a creature_n have_v a_o desire_n to_o preserve_v himself_o which_o consist_v in_o the_o equality_n of_o heat_n and_o moisture_n of_o which_o there_o may_v be_v a_o inequality_n so_o that_o it_o be_v such_o as_o may_v be_v reduce_v to_o a_o equality_n excess_n may_v be_v repair_v by_o food_n or_o physic_n but_o if_o by_o neither_o than_o the_o estate_n be_v desperate_a it_o be_v necessary_a that_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o inequality_n of_o heat_n and_o moisture_n in_o the_o body_n otherwise_o we_o shall_v never_o hunger_n nor_o thirst_n nor_o have_v any_o taste_n or_o pleasure_n by_o taste_n and_o so_o consequent_o not_o be_v put_v in_o mind_n of_o god_n bounty_n in_o provide_v to_o sustain_v us._n all_o meat_n be_v not_o nourish_v but_o such_o as_o be_v agreeable_a to_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v to_o be_v nourish_v the_o difference_n of_o the_o part_n of_o a_o man_n body_n come_v of_o this_o only_a that_o some_o participate_v more_o of_o some_o element_n &_o other_o of_o other_o as_o the_o bone_n be_v more_o earthy_a than_o the_o flesh_n and_o the_o flesh_n than_o the_o blood_n our_o food_n must_v not_o be_v liquid_a and_o moist_a only_o but_o earthy_a and_o solid_a god_n have_v so_o temper_v thing_n in_o their_o creation_n as_o that_o which_o retain_v the_o nature_n of_o earth_n be_v not_o always_o earthy_a nor_o that_o which_o retain_v the_o nature_n of_o fire_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o fire_n reason_n be_v as_o a_o spring_n and_o speech_n the_o river_n that_o flow_v from_o it_o he_o that_o be_v spare_v to_o speak_v to_o god_n and_o remember_v not_o to_o give_v he_o thanks_n at_o meat_n be_v like_a to_o a_o hog_n that_o eat_v acorn_n on_o the_o ground_n and_o never_o look_v up_o nor_o consider_v from_o whence_o they_o come_v some_o man_n do_v not_o only_o not_o praise_n god_n at_o their_o meat_n but_o
