king_n be_v thus_o far_o proceed_v pass_v through_o the_o dangerous_a surge_n of_o the_o vanity_n of_o this_o life_n he_o be_v rather_o joyful_a glad_a and_o ready_a to_o resign_v over_o his_o soul_n throne_n most_o royal_o amidde_v his_o prince_n but_o now_o he_o prostrate_v himself_o on_o the_o most_o lumpish_a earth_n and_o repose_v himself_o most_o solitary_a as_o one_o forlorn_a he_o be_v wont_a to_o feed_v on_o the_o most_o dainty_a delicate_n but_o now_o he_o be_v replete_a with_o bitter_a wormwood_n and_o loathsome_a gall_n he_o sometime_o solace_v his_o sweet_a soul_n with_o the_o cheerful_a delight_n of_o the_o happy_a but_o now_o he_o lament_v his_o hard_a lot_n with_o the_o wring_n corasives_n of_o the_o wretched_a whereas_o for_o his_o recreation_n he_o use_v harp_n shalm_n psaltery_n dulcimer_n and_o other_o musical_a instrument_n of_o please_a sound_n now_o be_v they_o all_o set_v aside_o and_o neglect_v yea_o he_o do_v utter_o distaste_v those_o and_o such_o delight_n moreover_o whereas_o he_o daily_o accustom_v for_o the_o better_a health_n of_o his_o body_n which_o he_o be_v careful_a to_o preserve_v to_o exercise_v himself_o before_o his_o meat_n and_o to_o rest_v himself_o sometime_o after_o towards_o his_o better_a digestion_n and_o that_o in_o his_o bed_n he_o will_v first_o repose_v himself_o on_o his_o right_a side_n wherein_o be_v the_o great_a heat_n of_o nature_n to_o further_o the_o same_o with_o the_o due_a observation_n of_o such_o and_o other_o good_a physical_a diet_n now_o he_o be_v as_o another_o man_n he_o do_v all_o contrary_a admonition_n whereby_o be_n hallew_v man_n away_o from_o those_o vanity_n and_o persuade_v and_o allure_v they_o to_o virtue_n &_o the_o high_a felicity_n and_o in_o these_o point_n physician_n solomon_n as_o a_o cunning_a physician_n the_o king_n as_o a_o good_a physician_n have_v not_o omit_v any_o one_o thing_n that_o the_o wise_a and_o cunning_a physician_n have_v accustom_v to_o practice_v and_o use_v in_o the_o cure_n of_o man_n body_n for_o here_o be_v prescription_n of_o sweat_v of_o vomit_n of_o diet_n of_o ointmente_n of_o minution_n of_o cauterizing_n of_o clyster_n of_o slepe_n of_o exercise_n and_o of_o portion_n whereof_o if_o time_n will_v permit_v i_o can_v speak_v more_o ample_o but_o here_o i_o only_o point_n to_o the_o thing_n which_o i_o may_v speak_v touch_v the_o wisdom_n and_o cunning_a of_o our_o king_n in_o and_o about_o the_o cure_n of_o those_o great_a malady_n howbeit_o as_o every_o medicine_n help_v not_o every_o nature_n nor_o

here_o he_o teach_v what_o they_o be_v which_o further_o he_o towards_o his_o felicity_n and_o they_o be_v certain_a virtue_n which_o he_o oppose_v to_o those_o former_a vice_n happiness_n certain_a virtue_n commend_v which_o further_a man_n towards_o happiness_n as_o namely_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n spirit_n prudence_n whereby_o a_o common_a wealth_n be_v govern_v justice_n obedience_n to_o law_n and_o magistrate_n modesty_n temperance_n industry_n diligence_n charity_n patience_n in_o trouble_n sobriety_n humility_n fidelity_n truth_n prayer_n liberality_n judgement_n and_o to_o be_v short_a piety_n and_o the_o right_a service_n of_o god_n and_o because_o all_o those_o thing_n be_v require_v of_o a_o man_n in_o the_o opportune_a time_n at_o the_o least_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o his_o humane_a life_n time_n the_o benefit_n of_o time_n therefore_o he_o be_v careful_a to_o counsel_n and_o advise_v he_o to_o take_v the_o benefit_n of_o the_o time_n and_o not_o to_o defer_v or_o put_v off_o from_o day_n to_o day_n to_o do_v &_o perform_v that_o which_o be_v require_v of_o he_o lest_o he_o be_v sudden_o take_v away_o and_o perish_v nor_o can_v at_o any_o time_n
