lord_n be_v open_a upon_o all_o the_o way_n of_o man_n he_o see_v and_o observe_v they_o even_o those_o thing_n which_o they_o do_v in_o great_a secrecy_n be_v most_o clear_a and_o manifest_a unto_o he_o they_o be_v naked_a &_o discover_v in_o his_o sight_n and_o he_o take_v notice_n of_o all_o of_o they_o o_o therefore_o how_o great_a be_v the_o boldness_n and_o audaciousnes_n of_o such_o as_o dare_v presume_v willing_o and_o witting_o to_o commit_v so_o grievous_a and_o so_o odious_a sin_n while_o they_o be_v in_o so_o glorious_a a_o presence_n who_o be_v so_o profane_a and_o so_o graceless_a that_o shall_v not_o be_v ashamed_a of_o this_o yea_o that_o shall_v not_o be_v even_o astonish_v in_o himself_o to_o consider_v that_o all_o his_o sin_n whereof_o some_o one_o of_o they_o sight_n of_o any_o thing_n which_o be_v spot_v and_o stain_v with_o the_o filth_n of_o sin_n o_o lord_n let_v i_o always_o see_v thou_o present_v with_o i_o view_v mark_v and_o observe_v the_o whole_a course_n and_o carriage_n of_o my_o life_n not_o only_a how_o i_o compose_v myself_o outward_o before_o man_n but_o how_o even_o the_o thought_n of_o my_o heart_n be_v frame_v within_o i_o that_o thus_o i_o may_v not_o only_o be_v restrain_v from_o the_o commission_n of_o outward_a actual_a wickedness_n which_o even_o the_o shame_n of_o the_o world_n cause_v many_o that_o be_v altogether_o void_a and_o destitute_a of_o thy_o sanctify_a grace_n to_o refrain_v themselves_o from_o but_o also_o may_v fear_v to_o give_v entertainment_n to_o any_o motion_n unto_o the_o least_o sin_n and_o strive_v after_o holiness_n and_o purity_n that_o so_o i_o may_v be_v approve_v of_o thou_o and_o find_v grace_n and_o favour_n in_o thy_o sight_n a_o motive_n to_o patience_n under_o the_o cross_n although_o it_o be_v grievous_a unto_o we_o yet_o it_o be_v good_a for_o we_o to_o be_v under_o the_o cross_n it_o be_v no_o small_a benefit_n which_o we_o receive_v by_o affliction_n if_o we_o look_v unto_o the_o end_n and_o issue_n of_o they_o for_o thereby_o we_o be_v humble_v more_o than_o we_o be_v make_v more_o earnest_a and_o fervent_a in_o prayer_n ready_a to_o seek_v unto_o the_o lord_n long_o as_o he_o live_v in_o this_o world_n have_v the_o old_a man_n live_v in_o he_o he_o be_v in_o part_n but_o not_o whole_o crucify_v and_o slay_v he_o have_v receive_v his_o deadly_a wound_n be_v though_o we_o read_v of_o they_o ourselves_o though_o we_o hear_v of_o they_o oft_o by_o other_o yea_o though_o the_o lord_n from_o day_n to_o day_n and_o from_o time_n to_o time_n cause_v they_o to_o sound_v in_o our_o ear_n by_o the_o ministry_n and_o preach_v of_o his_o word_n in_o the_o mouth_n of_o his_o faithful_a servant_n who_o he_o send_v and_o by_o the_o inward_a and_o secret_a voice_n of_o his_o spirit_n which_o sugge_v these_o thing_n unto_o we_o yet_o our_o heart_n be_v not_o affect_v with_o the_o consideration_n of_o they_o we_o have_v almost_o no_o sense_n or_o feel_v of_o these_o evil_n and_o misery_n we_o make_v no_o account_n of_o they_o we_o be_v little_a seldom_o or_o never_o trouble_v with_o the_o meditation_n and_o remembrance_n of_o they_o the_o fear_n and_o danger_n of_o they_o do_v not_o strike_v our_o soul_n with_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n nor_o make_v we_o so_o pensive_a and_o heavy_a as_o the_o fear_n and_o dread_n of_o far_o lesser_a evil_n do_v we_o grieve_v more_o at_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o favour_n and_o countenance_n of_o man_n yea_o of_o carnal_a and_o worldly_a man_n then_o of_o that_o glorious_a and_o immortal_a god_n who_o love_a favour_n be_v better_a than_o life_n and_o the_o want_n of_o it_o worse_o than_o death_n we_o grieve_v more_o at_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n which_o be_v vain_a earthly_a and_o transitory_a and_o such_o as_o can_v never_o make_v the_o owner_n of_o they_o true_o bless_v and_o happy_a though_o he_o have_v they_o in_o great_a abundance_n than_o his_o heart_n albeit_o never_o so_o unsatiable_a can_v desire_v they_o of_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o world_n to_o come_v which_o be_v most_o excellent_a heavenly_a and_o endure_v for_o ever_o in_o the_o hope_n and_o expectation_n whereof_o there_o be_v joy_n and_o comfort_v unspeakable_a and_o glorious_a even_o while_o they_o be_v not_o see_v but_o believe_v and_o in_o the_o full_a fruition_n and_o possession_n whereof_o there_o be_v entire_a and_o absolute_a felicity_n and_o blessedness_n we_o be_v grieve_v more_o at_o the_o death_n and_o departure_n of_o our_o friend_n then_o at_o the_o death_n and_o destruction_n of_o our_o own_o soul_n more_o trouble_a with_o the_o fear_n of_o the_o loss_n of_o this_o temporal_a life_n which_o be_v always_o fade_a and_o whereof_o we_o can_v have_v no_o certainty_n or_o assurance_n one_o hour_n no_o not_o
bless_a lord_n either_o send_v i_o a_o calm_a after_o those_o storm_n which_o have_v go_v over_o i_o or_o else_o which_o i_o rather_o desire_v cause_v i_o speedy_o to_o arrive_v at_o that_o haven_n which_o i_o hope_v and_o long_o for_o and_o where_o i_o shall_v enjoy_v perfect_a and_o perpetual_a rest_n and_o peace_n without_o any_o trouble_n or_o disquietness_n yea_o without_o the_o scare_v of_o any_o of_o those_o peril_n and_o danger_n unto_o which_o i_o be_o now_o continual_o subject_a the_o ancre_fw-fr of_o the_o soul_n in_o affliction_n a_o ship_n that_o be_v on_o the_o sea_n in_o stormy_a &_o tempestuous_a weather_n if_o it_o have_v not_o a_o ancre_fw-fr which_o be_v cast_v forth_o may_v hold_v and_o stay_v it_o be_v carry_v up_o and_o down_o and_o toss_v to_o and_o fro_o with_o much_o violence_n and_o so_o at_o length_n either_o drive_v upon_o the_o sand_n or_o dash_v against_o the_o rock_n in_o like_a manner_n it_o be_v with_o all_o those_o that_o in_o the_o troublesome_a sea_n of_o this_o dangerous_a world_n where_o there_o be_v so_o many_o storm_n &_o tempest_n continual_o arise_v want_v the_o ancre_fw-fr of_o their_o soul_n even_o true_a faith_n in_o christ_n and_o a_o assure_a hope_n of_o the_o promise_v make_v by_o he_o they_o be_v toss_v to_o and_o fro_o continual_o have_v no_o rest_n no_o comfort_n no_o confidence_n they_o be_v carry_v away_o violent_o with_o the_o rage_a water_n and_o in_o the_o end_n either_o fall_n upon_o some_o quick_a sand_n which_o swallow_v they_o up_o and_o cause_v they_o to_o sink_v into_o the_o bottom_n of_o that_o great_a deep_a or_o else_o rush_v against_o some_o stony_a and_o craggy_a rock_n which_o beat_v they_o to_o piece_n &_o bring_v they_o to_o ruin_v o_o my_o god_n thou_o see_v the_o great_a peril_n and_o danger_n i_o be_o subject_a unto_o and_o shall_v be_v as_o long_o as_o i_o live_v in_o this_o world_n which_o be_v a_o sea_n of_o misery_n and_o manifold_a calamity_n the_o wind_n blow_v the_o deep_a watere_n lift_v up_o their_o swell_a wave_n and_o the_o stormy_a tempest_n threaten_v i_o with_o shipwreck_n to_o the_o ruin_n and_o destruction_n both_o of_o my_o soul_n &_o body_n o_o therefore_o let_v i_o never_o want_v that_o assure_a hope_n which_o be_v as_o the_o ancre_fw-fr of_o my_o soul_n both_o sure_a and_o steadfast_a may_v enter_v into_o that_o which_o be_v within_o the_o veil_n and_o clasp_v fast_o hold_v of_o those_o gracious_a promise_n which_o thou_o have_v make_v unto_o i_o in_o thy_o christ_n my_o bless_a saviour_n so_o shall_v i_o not_o only_o be_v safe_a and_o confident_a in_o the_o midst_n of_o those_o danger_n which_o be_v round_o about_o i_o but_o also_o in_o the_o end_n have_v escape_v out_o of_o they_o all_o arrive_v at_o that_o pleasant_a haven_n of_o true_a felicity_n and_o endless_a bliss_n and_o happiness_n unto_o which_o the_o desire_n and_o prayer_n of_o my_o heart_n be_v that_o thou_o will_v short_o bring_v i_o that_o so_o i_o may_v rest_v able_a to_o prevail_v against_o i_o or_o to_o get_v the_o dominion_n over_o i_o grace_n to_o be_v increase_v daily_o by_o all_o mean_n grace_n if_o it_o be_v not_o continual_o nourish_v and_o increase_v by_o all_o good_a mean_n which_o god_n have_v appoint_v it_o will_v quick_o waste_v and_o decay_v exceed_o how_o many_o have_v we_o see_v that_o of_o strong_a have_v become_v weak_a &_o feeble_a that_o have_v for_o a_o time_n flourish_v with_o many_o excellent_a grace_n and_o be_v as_o green_a olive_n or_o fruitful_a plant_n in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n have_v afterward_o appear_v as_o sear_v tree_n and_o as_o wither_a branch_n as_o though_o they_o have_v almost_o no_o ivice_n or_o sap_n leave_v in_o they_o which_o may_v cause_v they_o to_o bud_v forth_o and_o to_o become_v fruitful_a o_o merciful_a god_n as_o it_o please_v thou_o to_o give_v i_o thy_o grace_n in_o any_o measure_n so_o grant_v that_o i_o maybe_o careful_a always_o to_o use_v all_o mean_n whereby_o it_o may_v be_v preserve_v and_o daily_o strengthen_v and_o increase_v in_o i_o that_o thus_o the_o long_o i_o live_v in_o this_o world_n the_o more_o fruitful_a i_o may_v be_v abound_v in_o every_o good_a work_n my_o last_o day_n maybe_o my_o best_a day_n &_o the_o inward_a man_n of_o my_o soul_n maybe_o renew_a the_o more_o that_o this_o outward_a man_n shall_v perish_v and_o decay_v and_o have_v in_o continual_o and_o compass_v it_o to_o and_o fro_o on_o every_o side_n look_v for_o his_o prey_n yea_o he_o seek_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o insinuate_v himself_o into_o we_o by_o many_o suggestion_n and_o diverse_a kind_n of_o temptation_n and_o thereby_o to_o sting_v we_o unto_o death_n he_o wait_v his_o time_n watch_v the_o occasion_n fit_a for_o his_o purpose_n and_o whereby_o he_o may_v easy_a prevail_v and_o as_o he_o be_v wary_a in_o choose_v his_o time_n and_o take_v his_o occasion_n and_o opportunity_n so_o be_v he_o as_o cunning_a in_o make_v choice_n of_o the_o mean_n observe_v the_o inclination_n the_o nature_n and_o several_a disposition_n of_o man_n both_o in_o regard_n of_o mind_n &_o of_o body_n thus_o he_o deceive_v the_o perfect_a that_o ever_o be_v on_o earth_n even_o our_o first_o parent_n in_o paradise_n and_o that_o in_o the_o time_n of_o their_o innocence_n and_o integrity_n before_o sin_n have_v make_v man_n so_o subject_a unto_o satan_n as_o now_o all_o be_v thus_o also_o since_o the_o fall_n he_o have_v deceive_v and_o beguile_v the_o wise_a that_o ever_o be_v among_o man_n as_o he_o do_v solomon_n the_o strong_a as_o he_o do_v samson_n the_o holy_a as_o he_o do_v david_n etc._n etc._n there_o be_v no_o place_n so_o holy_a no_o excercise_n so_o good_a which_o can_v quail_v his_o courage_n or_o restrain_v the_o boldness_n of_o his_o attempt_n yea_o even_o the_o best_a thing_n will_v he_o seek_v to_o make_v serve_v for_o his_o purpose_n out_o of_o the_o best_a duty_n and_o action_n which_o we_o do_v or_o can_v perform_v he_o will_v take_v his_o advantage_n against_o we_o and_o cause_v we_o to_o sin_n against_o god_n when_o we_o desire_v &_o endeavour_n most_o to_o approve_v ourselves_o unto_o he_o o_o lord_n since_o that_o evil_a one_o be_v always_o tempt_a let_v i_o always_o &_o in_o all_o thing_n be_v vigilant_a and_o watchful_a let_v my_o eye_n be_v open_a &_o my_o heart_n wake_v continual_o lest_o that_o envious_a &_o malicious_a spirit_n sow_v his_o tare_n while_o i_o sleep_v in_o carelessness_n and_o security_n yea_o sith_o that_o enemy_n of_o thy_o grace_n and_o of_o the_o salvation_n of_o thy_o child_n be_v so_o mighty_a so_o subtle_a and_o malicious_a grant_v that_o i_o may_v not_o be_v secure_a at_o any_o time_n but_o always_o keep_v a_o sure_a guard_n over_o my_o heart_n and_o all_o the_o those_o which_o be_v most_o secret_a and_o open_a to_o the_o view_n of_o none_o but_o of_o thy_o all-seeing_a majesty_n who_o eye_n pierce_v through_o all_o thing_n and_o see_v and_o discern_v perfect_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v hide_v from_o the_o sight_n of_o man_n and_o which_o we_o ourselves_o be_v ignorant_a of_o cleanse_v i_o both_o in_o soul_n in_o body_n and_o in_o spirit_n be_v a_o fit_a temple_n and_o mansion_n for_o thy_o holy_a spirit_n to_o rest_v in_o yea_o that_o thou_o may_v delight_v to_o remain_v to_o abide_v and_o to_o dwell_v with_o i_o for_o ever_o which_o be_v the_o only_a happiness_n and_o felicity_n which_o my_o soul_n desire_v and_o long_v for_o and_o which_o i_o know_v assure_o thou_o who_o have_v promise_v it_o will_v not_o deny_v unto_o i_o grieve_v of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n thou_o be_v unwilling_a to_o give_v just_a occasion_n whereby_o thy_o kind_a friend_n may_v be_v grieve_v and_o so_o for_o thy_o unkind_a deal_n with_o he_o know_v that_o nothing_o but_o my_o sin_n can_v hinder_v this_o goodness_n and_o blessing_n of_o thou_o from_o i_o forget_v therefore_o i_o pray_v thou_o my_o sin_n past_a cover_v my_o sin_n present_a ever_o according_a unto_o thy_o promise_n spiritual_a desertion_n the_o sun_n may_v be_v eclipse_v for_o a_o while_n by_o the_o interposition_n of_o the_o thick_a &_o dusky_a body_n of_o the_o moon_n but_o that_o be_v remove_v it_o will_v quick_o cause_v the_o bright_a beam_n thereof_o to_o shine_v forth_o again_o unto_o the_o world_n the_o lord_n may_v hide_v his_o face_n from_o i_o for_o a_o time_n by_o reason_n of_o my_o sin_n which_o only_o can_v make_v a_o separation_n and_o division_n between_o he_o and_o i_o and_o cause_v he_o to_o withdraw_v the_o light_n of_o his_o gracious_a countenance_n from_o i_o but_o sure_o i_o be_o that_o he_o will_v never_o utter_o forsake_v i_o for_o his_o foundation_n be_v sure_o lay_v his_o love_n and_o grace_n be_v unchangeable_a he_o have_v be_v once_o nay_o often_o gracious_a unto_o i_o and_o will_v continue_v so_o for_o ever_o o_o my_o god_n keep_v i_o from_o sin_v against_o thou_o so_o shall_v the_o light_n of_o thy_o countenance_n shine_v always_o upon_o i_o so_o shall_v i_o feel_v the_o comfort_n of_o thy_o presence_n remain_v with_o i_o in_o life_n in_o death_n after_o death_n even_o for_o ever_o the_o truth_n and_o faithfulness_n of_o god_n in_o perform_v his_o promise_n the_o lord_n be_v merciful_a in_o promise_v and_o true_a in_o perform_v whatsoever_o he_o have_v promise_v unto_o his_o child_n we_o have_v no_o other_o title_n to_o the_o least_o of_o god_n blessing_n but_o even_o this_o his_o mercy_n and_o truth_n to_o claim_v they_o by_o and_o have_v that_o we_o need_v no_o other_o o_o lord_n although_o my_o sin_n be_v many_o and_o grievous_a and_o may_v justly_o cause_v thou_o to_o withdraw_v all_o thy_o mercy_n and_o favour_n from_o i_o and_o to_o deny_v any_o more_o to_o be_v gracious_a gracious_a unto_o i_o in_o the_o supply_n of_o thy_o manifold_a blessing_n and_o mercy_n the_o comfort_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n especial_o in_o death_n a_o good_a conscience_n be_v a_o continual_a feast_n as_o in_o and_o throughout_o the_o whole_a life_n time_n so_o especial_o in_o the_o hour_n and_o in_o the_o very_a agony_n and_o pang_n of_o death_n with_o what_o sweet_a &_o pleasant_a food_n of_o divine_a consolation_n do_v it_o then_o feed_v the_o soul_n &_o refresh_v the_o mind_n when_o all_o other_o comfort_n fail_v and_o become_v as_o run_a stream_n dry_v up_o in_o the_o heat_n of_o summer_n nothing_o then_o will_v afford_v the_o like_a comfort_n unto_o this_o will_v thou_o see_v this_o as_o it_o be_v in_o a_o glass_n clear_o represent_v unto_o thy_o view_n suppose_v that_o even_o now_o thou_o see_v one_o lie_v at_o the_o point_n of_o death_n upon_o the_o bed_n of_o his_o sorrow_n ready_a to_o take_v his_o last_o farewell_n of_o the_o world_n &_o to_o be_v feed_v and_o refresh_v and_o not_o for_o corporal_a yea_o that_o be_v loathsome_a unto_o he_o sweet_a music_n and_o delightsome_a melody_n alas_o the_o daughter_n of_o sing_v be_v now_o abase_v he_o be_v almost_o past_a hear_n and_o though_o he_o can_v hear_v it_o never_o so_o well_o yet_o it_o will_v not_o be_v any_o refresh_n unto_o he_o he_o can_v not_o solace_v himself_o in_o it_o yea_o it_o will_v seem_v harsh_a in_o his_o ear_n and_o unpleasant_a unto_o his_o mind_n it_o be_v another_o kind_n of_o music_n and_o melody_n which_o he_o belong_v to_o hear_v and_o hearken_v after_o that_o therein_o he_o may_v find_v sound_a joy_n and_o true_a comfort_n in_o that_o his_o extremity_n his_o pleasure_n profit_n or_o great_a revenue_n in_o this_o world_n neither_o can_v these_o they_o for_o ever_o &_o to_o give_v a_o final_a farewell_n unto_o they_o never_o to_o have_v any_o use_n or_o benefit_n of_o they_o afterward_o as_o also_o and_o that_o especial_o because_o he_o know_v that_o he_o be_v forthwith_o to_o go_v to_o answer_v and_o to_o give_v a_o account_n both_o for_o the_o get_n use_v &_o employ_v of_o they_o and_o to_o receive_v accord_o his_o credit_n fame_n and_o reputation_n among_o man_n alas_o although_o he_o be_v as_o famous_a and_o renown_v as_o solomon_n be_v when_o he_o be_v so_o admire_v that_o nation_n come_v far_o and_o near_o to_o see_v &_o so_o that_o all_o his_o glory_n shall_v lie_v bury_v in_o the_o dust_n and_o his_o name_n be_v as_o if_o it_o have_v never_o be_v friend_n kinsfolk_n and_o acquaintance_n neither_o can_v they_o afford_v he_o any_o true_a peace_n and_o sound_a comfort_n indeed_o in_o the_o time_n of_o his_o health_n they_o may_v be_v a_o joy_n and_o refresh_n unto_o he_o even_o the_o very_a sight_n and_o presence_n of_o they_o peradventure_o will_v affect_v he_o with_o a_o inward_a and_o secret_a delight_n and_o contentment_n but_o now_o they_o can_v bring_v little_a or_o no_o comfort_n unto_o he_o no_o more_o than_o job_n friend_n do_v unto_o he_o in_o the_o depth_n of_o his_o misery_n even_o sit_v by_o he_o and_o say_v nothing_o yea_o rather_o they_o will_v be_v a_o mean_n to_o renew_v his_o sorrow_n and_o to_o increase_v his_o grief_n because_o he_o be_v so_o short_o to_o take_v his_o last_o farewell_n of_o they_o for_o so_o long_a a_o season_n as_o also_o for_o that_o he_o see_v they_o it_o have_v beside_o all_o the_o former_a occasion_n of_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n sin_n and_o satan_n assault_v yea_o lay_v hard_a siege_n against_o he_o than_o ever_o before_o seek_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o daunt_v he_o and_o to_o rob_v &_o deprive_v he_o of_o all_o true_a peace_n and_o comfort_n yea_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o bring_v he_o unto_o deep_a despair_n what_o then_o will_v be_v most_o sweet_a and_o pleasant_a unto_o he_o what_o will_v most_o refresh_v he_o and_o cheer_v up_o his_o languish_a spirit_n in_o brief_a if_o thou_o shall_v ask_v he_o what_o be_v his_o comfort_n in_o this_o extremity_n wherein_o he_o find_v most_o joy_n and_o delight_n will_v he_o not_o answer_v thou_o that_o his_o rejoice_v be_v the_o testimony_n of_o his_o own_o conscience_n even_o in_o this_o that_o he_o have_v endeavour_v himself_o with_o paul_n to_o have_v always_o a_o clear_a conscience_n towards_o god_n and_o man_n in_o this_o that_o he_o have_v labour_v with_o henoch_n to_o walk_v with_o god_n all_o his_o life_n long_o in_o this_o that_o it_o be_v his_o chief_a care_n continual_o to_o live_v upright_o and_o sincere_o before_o god_n and_o blameless_o and_o innocent_o before_o man_n will_v he_o not_o tell_v thou_o that_o this_o be_v the_o thing_n wherein_o he_o rejoice_v wherewith_o he_o be_v comfort_v sure_o without_o doubt_n he_o will_v and_o no_o marvel_n for_o have_v heretofore_o attend_v upon_o thou_o be_v now_o ready_a wait_v for_o thou_o eveâ—_o to_o embrace_v thou_o wiâ—â—_n their_o arm_n and_o to_o câ—râ—ie_v thou_o with_o joy_n and_o triumph_v into_o that_o heavenly_a city_n that_o celestial_a paradise_n that_o new_a jerusalem_n where_o thou_o shall_v enjoy_v the_o bless_a presence_n of_o that_o glorious_a god_n aâ—d_v the_o comfortable_a there_o between_o our_o life_n and_o the_o life_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o holy_a man_n of_o god_n record_v in_o scripture_n and_o other_o writing_n wherein_o their_o example_n be_v commend_v unto_o we_o as_o pattern_n and_o precedent_n to_o follow_v in_o so_o many_o rare_a and_o excellent_a virtue_n as_o they_o have_v go_v before_o we_o and_o leave_v the_o memory_n of_o they_o behind_o they_o as_o a_o light_n to_o shine_v unto_o we_o who_o walk_v in_o the_o darkness_n of_o this_o world_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o such_o a_o perverse_a and_o crooked_a generation_n among_o who_o we_o shall_v shine_v as_o they_o have_v do_v sure_o when_o i_o lay_v our_o example_n unto_o they_o and_o compare_v our_o life_n with_o they_o i_o think_v that_o many_o even_o of_o those_o who_o be_v esteem_v as_o the_o best_a christian_n deserve_v little_o more_o than_o the_o name_n of_o half_n christian_n or_o at_o least_o but_o of_o weak_a one_o and_o novice_n in_o this_o holy_a profession_n so_o far_o do_v they_o come_v short_a of_o that_o which_o we_o see_v to_o have_v be_v in_o they_o and_o aught_o to_o be_v in_o ourselves_o oh_o where_o be_v the_o holy_a and_o religious_a conversation_n of_o enoch_n who_o whole_a life_n be_v a_o continual_a walk_n in_o the_o presence_n of_o the_o glorious_a god_n and_o a_o daily_o converse_v &_o familiar_a acquaint_v himself_o with_o he_o in_o the_o careful_a and_o conscionable_a discharge_n of_o all_o those_o duty_n which_o he_o require_v of_o he_o where_o be_v the_o faith_n of_o abraham_n by_o which_o as_o he_o well_o deserve_v to_o be_v account_v the_o father_n of_o we_o all_o that_o be_v true_a believer_n so_o also_o he_o obtain_v this_o as_o a_o singular_a prerogative_n and_o evidence_n of_o the_o extraordinary_a grace_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n towards_o he_o to_o be_v call_v and_o repute_v in_o a_o especial_a manner_n the_o friend_n of_o god_n where_o be_v the_o meekness_n of_o moses_n where_o be_v the_o patience_n and_o constancy_n of_o job_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o so_o many_o and_o that_o so_o fiery_a trial_n for_o which_o the_o lord_n do_v so_o plentiful_o reward_v he_o when_o there_o seem_v almost_o to_o be_v no_o hope_n for_o he_o and_o cause_v his_o example_n to_o be_v famous_a among_o all_o they_o that_o shall_v hear_v of_o he_o where_o be_v the_o holy_a zeal_n of_o david_n who_o eye_n do_v not_o drop_n but_o even_o gush_v forth_o as_o it_o be_v river_n of_o tear_n and_o his_o heart_n even_o consume_v within_o he_o while_o he_o see_v the_o wicked_a transgress_v the_o law_n of_o god_n who_o he_o love_v so_o dear_o and_o even_o with_o just_a lot_n vex_v his_o righteous_a soul_n from_o day_n to_o day_n while_o he_o behold_v the_o unlawful_a deed_n and_o wicked_a abomination_n whereby_o the_o lord_n be_v provoke_v every_o day_n where_o be_v his_o uprightness_n and_o sincerity_n in_o the_o worship_n and_o service_n of_o god_n for_o which_o the_o lord_n grace_v he_o with_o this_o title_n that_o he_o be_v a_o man_n after_o god_n own_o heart_n where_o be_v the_o delight_n that_o he_o take_v in_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n wherein_o he_o find_v such_o sweetness_n that_o all_o thing_n else_o be_v lord_n in_o truth_n and_o with_o a_o perfect_a heart_n do_v that_o always_o which_o be_v good_a in_o his_o sight_n without_o all_o guile_n &_o dissimulation_n where_o be_v that_o conscionable_a practice_n of_o a_o godly_a and_o of_o a_o christian_a life_n that_o be_v in_o paul_n who_o desire_n and_o endeavour_n be_v to_o have_v always_o a_o clear_a conscience_n towards_o god_n and_o towards_o man_n and_o to_o have_v his_o conversation_n in_o the_o world_n in_o simplicity_n and_o godly_a pureness_n or_o where_o be_v the_o heavenly_a mindednes_n of_o the_o same_o apostle_n who_o while_o he_o live_v in_o the_o world_n yet_o carry_v himself_o as_o one_o that_o be_v of_o another_o world_n have_v his_o conversation_n in_o heaven_n from_o thence_o expect_v and_o look_v for_o continual_o the_o glorious_a appearance_n of_o our_o bless_a saviour_n for_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o his_o redemption_n or_o where_o be_v there_o that_o earnest_a desire_n of_o the_o conversion_n and_o salvation_n of_o other_o which_o so_o manifest_o show_v forth_o itself_o in_o he_o in_o that_o it_o be_v not_o only_o the_o prayer_n of_o his_o heart_n but_o that_o which_o he_o aim_v at_o in_o one_o minute_n then_o of_o that_o which_o be_v eternal_a and_o shall_v never_o have_v a_o end_n but_o continue_v for_o ever_o in_o such_o glory_n the_o enjoy_n whereof_o one_o moment_n be_v better_a than_o all_o the_o glory_n pleasure_n and_o delight_n of_o this_o life_n whereof_o any_o man_n be_v or_o can_v be_v make_v partaker_n in_o this_o world_n yea_o though_o he_o live_v long_o and_o see_v any_o true_a delight_n or_o contentment_n in_o they_o yea_o it_o may_v well_o be_v doubt_v whether_o he_o taste_v of_o more_o sour_a or_o sweet_a more_o honey_n or_o gall_n more_o pleasure_n and_o
