principal_a part_n as_o of_o man_n so_o of_o his_o religion_n but_o this_o do_v not_o infer_v that_o the_o outward_a be_v not_o likewise_o necessary_a we_o be_v command_v rom._n twelve_o 1._o to_o we_o can_v otherwise_o express_v the_o inward_a devotion_n and_o adoration_n of_o our_o mind_n and_o this_o be_v so_o natural_a that_o whoever_o have_v a_o due_a reverence_n and_o awe_n of_o the_o divine_a majesty_n can_v help_v to_o express_v it_o outward_o by_o the_o adoration_n of_o his_o body_n in_o his_o approach_n to_o god_n even_o though_o in_o private_a as_o our_o bless_a saviour_n in_o his_o agony_n fall_v prostrate_a upon_o his_o face_n to_o the_o earth_n and_o whoever_o deny_v the_o outward_a worship_n to_o god_n or_o perform_v it_o slovenly_a and_o careless_o it_o be_v a_o full_a demonstration_n that_o they_o have_v no_o true_a and_o real_a devotion_n or_o just_a apprehension_n of_o the_o almighty_a therefore_o the_o outward_a part_n of_o religion_n must_v by_o no_o mean_n be_v let_v go_v because_o the_o inward_a certain_o die_v when_o the_o outward_a be_v go_v but_o the_o outward_a and_o the_o inward_a worship_n of_o god_n be_v not_o two_o worship_n but_o only_o two_o part_n of_o the_o same_o worship_n as_o soul_n and_o body_n be_v not_o two_o man_n but_o two_o part_n of_o the_o same_o man_n so_o the_o adoration_n of_o this_o one_o man_n outward_o in_o his_o body_n and_o inward_o in_o his_o soul_n be_v not_o two_o worship_n but_o two_o part_n of_o the_o same_o worship_n iii_o there_o be_v but_o one_o faith_n yet_o this_o faith_n consist_v of_o several_a part_n there_o be_v a_o faith_n in_o god_n of_o which_o the_o heathen_n do_v partake_v there_o be_v a_o faith_n in_o christ_n which_o denominate_v man_n christian_n yet_o these_o be_v not_o two_o faith_n in_o a_o christian_a but_o two_o part_n of_o the_o same_o faith_n there_o be_v likewise_o a_o faith_n in_o the_o promise_v of_o the_o gospel_n and_o that_o what_o be_v therein_o command_v be_v from_o god_n and_o there_o be_v degree_n of_o this_o faith_n of_o which_o one_o christian_n do_v partake_v more_o than_o another_o and_o yet_o to_o christian_n there_o be_v but_o one_o faith_n the_o belief_n of_o a_o god_n and_o of_o christ_n be_v two_o faith_n or_o belief_n because_o many_o do_v believe_v a_o god_n who_o do_v not_o believe_v in_o christ_n yet_o in_o a_o christian_n they_o be_v not_o two_o faith_n but_o one_o faith_n because_o the_o one_o that_o be_v the_o faith_n in_o christ_n do_v suppose_v the_o other_o that_o be_v the_o belief_n of_o a_o god_n it_o only_o add_v to_o it_o and_o build_v upon_o it_o and_o this_o make_v they_o no_o more_o two_n faith_n than_o build_v a_o house_n a_o story_n high_o make_v it_o two_o house_n iv_o there_o be_v but_o one_o lord_n that_o be_v christ_n yet_o he_o consist_v of_o a_o outward_a and_o a_o inward_a part_n of_o body_n and_o soul_n nay_o more_o of_o both_o the_o divine_a and_o human_a nature_n i_o may_v urge_v the_o different_a person_n in_o the_o one_o divine_a nature_n but_o this_o will_v be_v no_o argument_n to_o the_o quaker_n who_o deny_v it_o but_o they_o deny_v not_o seem_o at_o least_o the_o divinity_n of_o christ_n and_o therefore_o as_o this_o lord_n be_v but_o one_o though_o consist_v of_o several_a nature_n and_o his_o faith_n and_o worship_n but_o one_o though_o consist_v of_o several_a part_n why_o may_v not_o his_o baptism_n be_v likewise_o one_o though_o consist_v of_o a_o outward_a and_o a_o inward_a part_n v._o there_o be_v a_o outward_a and_o a_o inward_a circumcision_n as_o well_o as_o a_o outward_a and_o inward_a baptism_n yet_o no_o man_n will_v say_v that_o there_o be_v two_o circumcision_n under_o the_o law_n as_o little_a reason_n be_v there_o to_o say_v that_o there_o be_v two_o baptism_n under_o the_o gospel_n see_v what_o be_v before_o say_v sect._n vii_o num._n x_o and_o xi_o of_o the_o strong_a presumption_n to_o deny_v the_o outward_a sacrifice_n under_o the_o law_n than_o the_o outward_a baptism_n under_o the_o gospel_n vi_o let_v i_o add_v that_o circumcision_n be_v discontinue_v 40_o year_n in_o the_o wilderness_n josh_n v._o 5._o yet_o this_o be_v make_v no_o argument_n against_o the_o revive_v and_o continuance_n of_o it_o afterward_o but_o baptism_n have_v not_o be_v discontinue_v one_o year_n nor_o at_o all_o in_o the_o christian_a church_n since_o man_n get_v to_o heaven_n who_o will_v not_o go_v the_o way_n that_o christ_n have_v appoint_v who_o come_v down_o from_o heaven_n on_o purpose_n to_o show_v and_o lead_v we_o the_o way_n thither_o yet_o we_o will_v be_v wise_a than_o he_o find_v fault_n with_o his_o institution_n as_o be_v too_o much_o upon_o the_o outward_a and_o think_v that_o we_o can_v and_o may_v spiritualise_v they_o and_o i_o shall_v produce_v the_o text_n above-quoted_n to_o prove_v that_o god_n do_v not_o command_v sacrifice_n which_o be_v much_o more_o positive_a than_o that_o single_a one_o which_o be_v this_o degree_n than_o christ_n be_v always_o so_o come_v to_o all_o as_o to_o make_v the_o institution_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n useless_a at_o all_o time_n to_o all._n nay_o it_o be_v end_v let_v this_o suffice_v to_o have_v say_v in_o this_o place_n concern_v this_o other_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n it_o be_v institution_n be_v as_o plain_a and_o express_a as_o that_o of_o baptism_n and_o the_o practice_n of_o it_o in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o apostle_n and_o all_o age_n since_o have_v be_v as_o universal_a and_o what_o have_v be_v say_v of_o baptism_n be_v of_o equal_a force_n as_o to_o this_o and_o the_o quaker_n argument_n against_o this_o be_v upon_o the_o same_o foundation_n as_o those_o against_o baptism_n only_o they_o have_v not_o so_o many_o objection_n against_o this_o therefore_o i_o have_v make_v baptism_n the_o chief_a subject_n of_o this_o discourse_n yet_o so_o as_o likewise_o to_o include_v the_o sacrament_n of_o the_o lord_n supper_n therefore_o we_o will_v go_v on_o to_o consider_v what_o remain_v of_o the_o present_a objection_n which_o militate_v equal_o against_o both_o that_o there_o be_v no_o sign_n under_o the_o gospel_n v._o and_o here_o let_v i_o observe_v first_o that_o these_o sign_n and_o figure_n which_o the_o quaker_n make_v incompatable_a to_o the_o gospel_n state_n ought_v only_o to_o be_v understand_v of_o the_o sign_n and_o figure_n in_o the_o law_n which_o be_v ordain_v as_o type_n of_o christ_n and_o of_o these_o it_o be_v true_o argue_v that_o when_o christ_n who_o be_v the_o substance_n be_v come_v they_o must_v cease_v of_o course_n which_o argument_n the_o quaker_n bring_v against_o the_o sign_n and_o figure_n which_o christ_n do_v institute_n under_o the_o gospel_n but_o how_o foreign_a sacrifice_n under_o the_o law_n do_v praefigure_v the_o death_n of_o christ_n but_o the_o sacrament_n under_o the_o gospel_n be_v institute_v in_o remembrance_n of_o it_o as_o well_o as_o for_o type_n of_o our_o future_a union_n with_o he_o in_o heaven_n therefore_o the_o same_o reason_n which_o make_v the_o legal_a type_n to_o cease_v do_v infer_v that_o the_o evangelical_n type_n must_v not_o cease_v till_o they_o likewise_o shall_v be_v fulfil_v which_o will_v not_o be_v till_o we_o arrive_v at_o heaven_n thus_o as_o they_o be_v type_n and_o then_o second_o as_o they_o be_v remembrance_n of_o what_o be_v past_a they_o be_v to_o last_v as_o long_o as_o the_o remembrance_n of_o that_o which_o they_o represent_v aught_o to_o last_o with_o we_o christ_n do_v not_o institute_n his_o the_o case_n of_o baptism_n may_v make_v it_o more_o familiar_a to_o we_o but_o will_v abate_v nothing_o of_o the_o vnreasonableness_n xii_o i_o believe_v the_o reader_n by_o this_o time_n can_v but_o though_o at_o the_o same_o time_n he_o command_v the_o performance_n of_o they_o under_o the_o penalty_n of_o death_n thus_o it_o be_v in_o the_o institution_n of_o the_o gospel_n the_o inward_a and_o spiritual_a part_n be_v the_o chief_a and_o for_o the_o sake_n of_o which_o only_o the_o outward_a be_v command_v but_o this_o make_v the_o outward_a necessary_a instead_o of_o throw_v it_o off_o because_o as_o it_o be_v under_o the_o law_n the_o outward_a be_v ordain_v as_o a_o mean_n whereby_o we_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o the_o inward_a and_o therefore_o if_o we_o neglect_v and_o despise_v the_o outward_a when_o we_o may_v have_v it_o we_o have_v no_o promise_n in_o the_o gospel_n to_o entitle_v we_o to_o the_o inward_a as_o he_o that_o neglect_v the_o mean_n have_v no_o reason_n to_o expect_v the_o end_n it_o be_v true_a a_o miracle_n may_v do_v it_o but_o it_o be_v presumption_n and_o tempt_v of_o god_n to_o neglect_v the_o outward_a mean_n of_o god_n appointment_n in_o expectation_n of_o his_o miraculus_fw-la interposition_n against_o the_o method_n which_o he_o have_v command_v as_o if_o provoke_v of_o god_n do_v entitle_v we_o the_o more_o to_o his_o protection_n or_o as_o if_o we_o be_v wise_a than_o he_o to_o mend_v and_o alter_v his_o institution_n and_o dispense_v with_o they_o at_o our_o pleasure_n here_o let_v it_o be_v mind_v that_o the_o
