in_o body_n or_o soul_n after_o death_n and_o therefore_o most_o earnest_o david_n desire_v to_o live_v in_o israel_n for_o the_o further_a manifestation_n of_o god_n glory_n here_o be_v to_o be_v observe_v a_o short_a but_o yet_o a_o most_o necessary_a note_n which_o be_v this_o what_o the_o thing_n be_v which_o we_o ought_v principal_o to_o seek_v in_o this_o transitory_a life_n not_o those_o for_o the_o which_o the_o blind_a world_n contend_v and_o strive_v but_o god_n and_o his_o love_a kindness_n to_o ward_v mankind_n his_o amiable_a promise_n and_o true_a religion_n to_o be_v advance_v and_o preach_v unto_o other_o our_o brethren_n that_o be_v ignorant_a for_o if_o we_o do_v not_o we_o may_v rather_o be_v count_v beast_n than_o man_n dead_a stock_n not_o live_v creature_n yea_o rather_o thing_n that_o be_v not_o at_o all_o than_o substance_n have_v either_o be_v or_o life_n see_v that_o the_o heaven_n declare_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n the_o earth_n with_o the_o whole_a content_n thereof_o what_o ever_o they_o be_v do_v geve_v praise_n to_o his_o holy_a name_n the_o sea_n flood_n and_o fountain_n with_o the_o wonder_n contain_v in_o the_o same_o do_v not_o cease_v to_o make_v manifest_a the_o wisdom_n the_o power_n and_o the_o providence_n of_o their_o creator_n what_o then_o be_v say_v of_o man_n that_o neither_o seek_v neither_o regard_v god_n glory_n yea_o what_o shall_v be_v judge_v of_o those_o that_o not_o only_o hinder_v god_n glory_n but_o also_o declare_v themselves_o enemy_n to_o such_o as_o will_v promote_v it_o i_o must_v speak_v my_o conscience_n with_o a_o sorrowful_a heart_n they_o be_v not_o only_o dead_a but_o they_o be_v also_o of_o the_o nature_n of_o he_o by_o who_o malice_n and_o envy_n death_n enter_v into_o the_o world_n omit_v till_o more_o opportunity_n for_o it_o do_v not_o much_o appertain_v to_o the_o spiritual_a cross_n but_o it_o be_v as_o it_o be_v a_o prophecy_n speak_v against_o all_o such_o as_o rejoice_v at_o the_o trouble_n of_o god_n elect_v who_o assure_o be_v confound_v and_o sudden_o bring_v to_o shame_n when_o the_o lord_n shall_v hear_v the_o voice_n of_o the_o sore_a afflict_a now_o dear_o belove_v in_o our_o saviour_n christ_n jesus_n see_v that_o the_o spiritual_a cross_n be_v proper_a to_o the_o child_n of_o god_n see_v that_o it_o be_v give_v to_o we_o as_o a_o most_o effectual_a medicine_n aswell_o to_o remome_v disease_n as_o to_o plant_v in_o our_o soul_n most_o notable_a virtue_n such_o as_o be_v humility_n mercy_n contempt_n of_o ourselves_o and_o continual_a remembrance_n of_o our_o own_o weakness_n and_o imperfection_n and_o see_v that_o you_o have_v have_v most_o evident_a sign_n that_o this_o same_o medicine_n have_v wrought_v in_o you_o a_o part_n of_o all_o the_o promise_n receive_v it_o thankful_o of_o your_o father_n hand_n what_o trouble_v soever_o it_o bring_v with_o it_o and_o albeit_o that_o the_o flesh_n grudge_n yet_o let_v the_o spirit_n rejoice_v steadfast_o look_v for_o deliverance_n &_o assure_o you_o shall_v obtain_v according_a to_o the_o goodwill_n &_o promise_n of_o he_o who_o can_v deceive_v to_o who_o be_v glory_n for_o ever_o and_o ever_o before_o his_o congregation_n amen_n now_o see_v it_o be_v uncertain_a belove_a mother_n if_o ever_o we_o shall_v meet_v in_o this_o corporal_a life_n which_o word_n i_o will_v not_o that_o you_o take_v in_o any_o displeasure_n for_o if_o god_n continue_v you_o in_o life_n &_o i_o in_o health_n i_o shall_v attempt_v to_o speak_v with_o you_o face_n to_o face_n within_o less_o time_n they_o be_v pass_v since_o the_o one_o of_o we_o last_o see_v the_o other_o and_o be_v you_o assure_v belove_a mother_n that_o neither_o shall_v it_o be_v the_o fear_n of_o death_n nor_o the_o rage_n of_o the_o devil_n that_o shall_v let_v i_o &_o therefore_o i_o beseech_v you_o take_v not_o my_o word_n in_o that_o part_n as_o though_o i_o be_v not_o mind_v to_o visit_v you_o again_o no_o i_o assure_v you_o that_o only_a god_n hand_n shall_v withhold_v i_o but_o because_o our_o life_n do_v vanish_v as_o the_o smoke_n before_o the_o blast_n of_o wind_n my_o you_o and_o other_o have_v hard_a not_o only_o of_o my_o mouth_n but_o also_o faithful_o teach_v by_o the_o mouth_n of_o many_o other_o of_o who_o some_o be_v ex●l●d_v some_o cruel_o cast_v into_o prison_n and_o the_o rest_n command_v to_o silence_n be_v the_o only_a word_n of_o life_n and_o that_o all_o doctrine_n repugn_v to_o the_o same_o be_v diabolical_a &_o erronius_a which_o assure_o shall_v bring_v death_n and_o perpetual_a condemnation_n to_o all_o those_o which_o shall_v thereto_o condescend_v and_o agree_v and_o therefore_o mother_n be_v not_o move_v with_o any_o wind_n but_o stick_v to_o christ_n in_o the_o day_n of_o this_o his_o battle_n &_o also_o i_o admonish_v you_o too_o avoid_v that_o abomination_n which_o oft_o you_o have_v hear_v by_o i_o affirm_v to_o be_v damnable_a idolatry_n &_o god_n i_o take_v to_o record_v in_o my_o conscience_n that_o neither_o then_o neither_o now_o i_o speak_v nor_o do_v speak_v for_o pleasure_n or_o hatred_n of_o any_o live_a creature_n in_o earth_n whatsoever_o that_o it_o be_v but_o as_o my_o conscience_n
