temper_n and_o complexion_n partly_o in_o weakness_n and_o sickness_n proceed_v either_o from_o their_o original_a constitution_n or_o other_o follow_a inordinacy_n it_o be_v no_o way_n needful_a that_o in_o any_o of_o these_o he_o shall_v be_v make_v like_o unto_o the_o brethren_n yea_o a_o conformity_n unto_o they_o therein_o will_v have_v absolute_o impede_v the_o work_n he_o have_v to_o do_v three_o he_o be_v also_o like_a unto_o we_o in_o temptation_n for_o the_o reason_n which_o the_o apostle_n give_v in_o the_o last_o verse_n but_o herein_o also_o some_o difference_n may_v be_v observe_v between_o he_o and_o we_o for_o the_o most_o of_o our_o temptation_n arise_v from_o within_o we_o from_o our_o own_o unbelief_n and_o lusts._n again_o in_o those_o that_o be_v from_o without_o there_o be_v somewhat_o in_o we_o to_o take_v part_n with_o they_o which_o always_o make_v we_o fail_v in_o our_o duty_n of_o resistance_n and_o ofttimes_o lead_v to_o far_a miscarriage_n but_o from_o these_o thing_n he_o be_v absolute_o free_a for_o as_o he_o have_v no_o inward_a disposition_n or_o inclination_n unto_o the_o least_o evil_a be_v perfect_a in_o all_o grace_n and_o all_o their_o operation_n at_o all_o time_n so_o when_o the_o prince_n of_o this_o world_n come_v unto_o he_o he_o have_v no_o part_n in_o he_o nothing_o to_o close_v with_o his_o suggestion_n or_o to_o entertain_v his_o terror_n four_o his_o suffering_n be_v of_o the_o same_o kind_n with_o they_o that_o the_o brethren_n undergo_v or_o aught_o so_o to_o have_v do_v yet_o they_o have_v far_o different_a effect_n on_o he_o from_o what_o they_o will_v have_v have_v on_o they_o for_o whereas_o he_o be_v perfect_o innocent_a and_o perfect_o righteous_a no_o way_n deserve_v they_o in_o his_o own_o person_n he_o be_v free_a from_o all_o impression_n of_o those_o sinful_a consequent_n which_o attend_v the_o utmost_a suffering_n under_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n by_o sinner_n themselves_o thus_o the_o 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d 〈◊〉_d the_o likeness_n in_o all_o here_o assert_v be_v capable_a of_o a_o double_a limitation_n the_o first_o concern_v some_o thing_n themselves_o as_o sin_n the_o other_o the_o mode_n or_o manner_n of_o the_o thing_n wherein_o the_o conformity_n do_v real_o consist_v now_o thus_o to_o be_v make_v like_o unto_o they_o it_o become_v he_o it_o be_v meet_v just_a and_o necessary_a that_o god_n shall_v make_v he_o so_o because_o of_o the_o office_n duty_n and_o employment_n that_o he_o have_v assign_v he_o unto_o which_o as_o the_o end_n hereof_o be_v next_o to_o be_v inquire_v after_o four_o the_o general_a end_n of_o his_o conformity_n unto_o the_o brethren_n be_v that_o he_o may_v be_v a_o merciful_a and_o faithful_a high_a priest_n two_o thing_n be_v comprise_v herein_o first_o the_o office_n that_o he_o be_v design_v unto_o he_o be_v to_o be_v a_o high_a priest_n second_o his_o qualification_n for_o that_o office_n he_o be_v to_o be_v merciful_a and_o faithful_a his_o conformity_n unto_o the_o brethren_n as_o we_o have_v see_v consist_v in_o two_o thing_n first_o his_o participation_n of_o their_o nature_n second_o his_o copartnership_n with_o they_o in_o their_o condition_n of_o suffering_n and_o temptation_n the_o first_o of_o these_o be_v necessary_a unto_o his_o office_n the_o latter_a unto_o his_o qualification_n he_o be_v make_v man_n that_o he_o may_v be_v a_o high_a priest_n he_o suffer_v be_v tempt_v that_o he_o may_v be_v merciful_a and_o faithful_a there_o be_v no_o more_o require_v that_o he_o may_v be_v a_o high_a priest_n but_o that_o he_o shall_v partake_v of_o our_o nature_n but_o that_o he_o may_v be_v merciful_a and_o faithful_a with_o that_o kind_n of_o mercy_n and_o faithfulness_n which_o the_o brethren_n stand_v in_o need_n of_o it_o be_v moreover_o require_v that_o he_o shall_v suffer_v and_o be_v tempt_v which_o thing_n must_v be_v distinct_o consider_v first_o that_o he_o may_v be_v a_o high_a priest_n it_o be_v necessary_a that_o he_o shall_v be_v partaker_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o they_o for_o who_o he_o be_v to_o administer_v in_o the_o thing_n of_o god_n so_o the_o apostle_n inform_v we_o chap._n 5.1_o every_o high_a priest_n for_o man_n must_v be_v take_v from_o among_o man_n this_o be_v not_o work_v for_o a_o angel_n nor_o for_o god_n himself_o as_o such_o and_o therefore_o although_o the_o benefit_n of_o the_o priesthood_n of_o christ_n be_v communicate_v unto_o all_o believer_n from_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n by_o virtue_n of_o the_o compact_n and_o agreement_n between_o the_o father_n and_o he_o for_o the_o undertake_n and_o execution_n of_o that_o office_n at_o the_o time_n appoint_v yet_o he_o be_v not_o actual_o nor_o can_v be_v a_o high_a priest_n until_o he_o be_v clothe_v with_o flesh_n and_o make_v partaker_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o child_n the_o duty_n which_o as_o a_o high_a priest_n he_o have_v perform_v namely_o to_o offer_v gift_n and_o sacrifice_n unto_o god_n chap._n 8.3_o with_o the_o especial_a nature_n of_o that_o great_a sacrifice_n that_o he_o be_v to_o offer_v which_o be_v himself_o his_o body_n and_o soul_n prepare_v and_o give_v he_o for_o that_o purpose_n chap._n 10.10_o require_v and_o make_v necessary_a this_o conformity_n for_o this_o cause_n
