continue_v in_o their_o sin_n be_v they_o never_o so_o vigorous_o alive_a in_o body_n 15._o he_o be_v a_o murderer_n of_o his_o own_o soul_n because_o as_o be_v say_v above_o he_o that_o love_v not_o remains_z in_o death_n where_o note_n not_o to_o love_n be_v esteem_v to_o be_v as_o bad_a as_o to_o hate_v and_o consequent_o who_o hate_v his_o neighbour_n actual_o kill_v himself_o and_o in_o effect_v his_o neighbour_n too_o though_o not_o in_o act_n not_o unlike_o he_o that_o covet_v his_o neighour_n wife_n be_v a_o adulterer_n in_o will_n though_o not_o in_o fact_n yet_o other_o will_n have_v this_o hatred_n to_o be_v only_a murder_n in_o disposition_n not_o reduce_v into_o act_n but_o who_o so_o love_v danger_n shall_v perish_v in_o it_o and_o therefore_o to_o dally_v in_o such_o disposition_n be_v to_o endanger_v at_o least_o perish_v in_o they_o let_v no_o man_n wonder_v the_o apostle_n shall_v say_v he_o that_o murder_v have_v not_o life_n everlasting_a in_o he_o when_o neighbour_n soul_n and_o not_o only_o may_v but_o be_v here_o exhort_v thereunto_o if_o we_o say_v command_v the_o text_n will_v bear_v it_o in_o case_n we_o see_v our_o neighbour_n soul_n in_o danger_n unless_o we_o venture_v our_o life_n and_o in_o some_o case_n man_n may_v and_o be_v bind_v to_o hazard_v at_o least_o their_o own_o to_o save_v another_o life_n as_o first_o a_o soldier_n may_v rather_o choose_v to_o die_v in_o the_o place_n then_o yield_v to_o his_o enemy_n the_o advantage_n of_o that_o ground_n his_o commander_n trust_v he_o to_o defend_v the_o like_a be_v of_o a_o marvel_n if_o here_o it_o be_v conclude_v he_o can_v have_v charity_n who_o see_v his_o neighbour_n in_o necessity_n shut_v up_o the_o bowel_n of_o his_o mercy_n from_o he_o and_o will_v not_o allow_v shall_v say_v though_o it_o be_v hard_a to_o lay_v down_o your_o life_n for_o another_o yet_o it_o must_v be_v easy_a to_o lay_v down_o your_o purse_n or_o some_o equivalent_a relief_n if_o you_o will_v merit_v the_o name_n of_o a_o christian_a and_o give_v proof_n by_o your_o act_n of_o mercy_n that_o the_o author_n of_o mercy_n be_v within_o you_o and_o that_o yourself_o do_v live_v spiritual_o by_o relieve_v your_o neighbour_n corporal_o whence_o most_o divine_v hold_v a_o man_n be_v bind_v in_o conscience_n to_o give_v alm_n more_o or_o less_o and_o that_o not_o only_o in_o the_o new_a man_n live_v in_o he_o by_o the_o old_a man_n understand_v custom_n of_o sin_v renounce_v by_o baptism_n by_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n understand_v here_o the_o whole_a mass_n of_o our_o believe_v we_o shall_v enjoy_v with_o christ_n if_o here_o we_o die_v with_o he_o to_o sin_n 9_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o precedent_a verse_n be_v confirm_v by_o this_o follow_v that_o tell_v we_o death_n shall_v as_o little_a reign_n over_o we_o in_o the_o next_o life_n if_o we_o true_o die_v to_o sin_n in_o this_o as_o it_o do_v over_o christ_n once_o rise_v from_o his_o grave_n and_o yet_o disdain_v to_o die_v again_o by_o relapse_n into_o sin_n and_o so_o to_o let_v death_n dominear_o ever_o we_o who_o once_o we_o have_v slay_v by_o grace_n note_v here_o the_o strange_a goodness_n of_o our_o saviour_n who_o be_v god_n be_v content_a to_o let_v death_n once_o dominear_o over_o he_o on_o the_o cross_n that_o we_o may_v for_o ever_o after_o triumph_v with_o he_o over_o death_n 10._o here_o christ_n be_v not_o to_o be_v understand_v to_o die_v to_o sin_n as_o we_o do_v but_o to_o die_v for_o sin_n not_o his_o own_o but_o we_o and_o that_o once_o for_o all_o our_o sin_n where_o he_o be_v say_v here_o to_o live_v to_o god_n understand_v with_o god_n a_o bless_a and_o immortal_a life_n as_o also_o that_o by_o so_o live_v he_o may_v perpetual_o praise_v and_o glorify_v almighty_a god_n since_o as_o he_o die_v for_o sin_n abolition_n so_o he_o live_v for_o god_n glorification_n 11._o it_o be_v reason_n we_o shall_v think_v ourselves_o dead_a to_o sin_n when_o by_o baptism_n we_o renounce_v it_o and_o live_v to_o god_n when_o by_o the_o same_o baptism_n we_o live_v in_o he_o but_o it_o be_v a_o high_a expression_n of_o the_o alteration_n which_o the_o apostle_n exhort_v unto_o in_o advise_v we_o to_o think_v we_o be_v dead_a to_o sin_n for_o as_o dead_a man_n have_v no_o motion_n
