the_o grave_a o_o death_n how_o acceptable_a be_v thy_o sentence_n unto_o the_o needy_a when_o all_o our_o care_n shall_v be_v lay_v aside_o in_o the_o dust_n and_o the_o remembrance_n of_o our_o sorrow_n shall_v be_v blot_v out_o this_o be_v the_o birthday_n of_o joy_n and_o pleasure_n unto_o those_o that_o mourn_v and_o it_o be_v not_o the_o least_o advantage_n of_o poverty_n that_o it_o put_v we_o in_o mind_n of_o out_o latter_a end_n and_o make_v we_o in_o love_n with_o that_o state_n which_o must_v of_o necessity_n happen_v to_o we_o and_o as_o for_o the_o burden_n of_o want_n itself_o how_o easy_a be_v it_o to_o a_o man_n that_o have_v remove_v far_o from_o he_o vanity_n and_o lie_n it_o be_v the_o disappointment_n that_o make_v it_o troublesome_a to_o the_o vain_a design_v man_n who_o promise_v himself_o great_a and_o glorious_a advantage_n of_o his_o wealth_n but_o to_o the_o humble_a it_o be_v welcome_a as_o be_v the_o message_n of_o heaven_n and_o he_o make_v no_o reply_n but_o i_o be_o thy_o servant_n be_v it_o unto_o i_o according_a to_o thy_o will_n o_o god_n therefore_o he_o study_v to_o conform_v himself_o to_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o almighty_a and_o if_o he_o can_v raise_v his_o fortune_n up_o to_o his_o mind_n yet_o he_o will_v certain_o level_v his_o mind_n to_o his_o present_a fortune_n if_o god_n have_v not_o allow_v he_o so_o large_a a_o field_n wherein_o to_o exercise_v his_o gift_n he_o will_v make_v the_o best_a use_n of_o his_o narrow_a confine_v estate_n and_o by_o the_o prudent_a management_n of_o his_o single_a talon_n he_o shall_v receive_v his_o reward_n with_o those_o on_o who_o ten_o talent_n be_v bestow_v for_o god_n have_v give_v every_o one_o the_o mean_n to_o grow_v happy_a though_o not_o the_o opportunity_n of_o grow_v rich_a the_o honesty_n and_o industry_n the_o patience_n and_o contentment_n of_o the_o poor_a man_n be_v as_o acceptable_a virtue_n unto_o god_n as_o the_o bounty_n and_o charity_n the_o humility_n and_o thankfulness_n of_o king_n and_o prince_n and_o now_o who_o shall_v separate_v the_o poor_a man_n from_o the_o love_n of_o god_n shall_v tribulation_n and_o anguish_n no_o certain_o for_o this_o be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n unto_o he_o for_o good_a to_o exercise_v his_o patience_n and_o recommend_v his_o virtue_n shall_v poverty_n and_o distress_n this_o be_v a_o gospel-promise_n and_o not_o to_o be_v reject_v by_o any_o that_o profess_v a_o esteem_n for_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n and_o the_o example_n which_o he_o have_v set_v before_o we_o shall_v shame_n and_o contempt_n this_o indeed_o be_v the_o great_a burden_n of_o poverty_n and_o all_o but_o this_o a_o prudent_a heathen_a boast_a that_o he_o can_v endure_v but_o even_o this_o do_v not_o exceed_v a_o christian_n strength_n for_o either_o we_o have_v or_o shall_v have_v learn_v from_o st._n paul_n to_o approve_v ourselves_o in_o all_o thing_n as_o the_o servant_n of_o god_n in_o affliction_n in_o necessity_n in_o distress_n by_o honour_n and_o dishonour_n by_o good_a report_n and_o evil_a report_n and_o if_o neither_o the_o anguish_n distress_n nor_o shame_n of_o poverty_n can_v make_v this_o condition_n unsupportable_a to_o a_o humble_a faithful_a believer_n he_o will_v never_o fly_v to_o unlawful_a mean_n for_o his_o redress_n but_o rather_o perish_v in_o his_o necessity_n than_o steal_v or_o take_v the_o name_n of_o his_o god_n in_o vain_a death_n come_v alike_o both_o to_o the_o rich_a man_n and_o the_o poor_a and_o since_o it_o be_v appoint_v for_o all_o man_n once_o to_o die_v what_o matter_n be_v it_o to_o the_o body_n whether_o it_o be_v by_o hunger_n or_o a_o surfeit_n but_o for_o our_o soul_n sake_n it_o be_v not_o only_o more_o meritorious_a but_o more_o glorious_a too_o to_o depart_v this_o life_n for_o want_n of_o the_o necessary_a support_n thereof_o than_o either_o to_o cram_v ourselves_o to_o death_n by_o the_o superfluity_n of_o riches_n or_o to_o prolong_v our_o life_n and_o advance_v our_o fortune_n by_o impious_a and_o dishonourable_a mean_n if_o we_o can_v bear_v our_o poverty_n with_o content_n and_o free_o enjoy_v the_o exercise_n of_o our_o virtue_n and_o religion_n what_o great_a advantage_n can_v we_o desire_v by_o be_v rich_a who_o will_v exchange_v a_o honest_a and_o virtuous_a though_o mean_a estate_n for_o a_o turbulent_a dangerous_a and_o unprofitable_a greatness_n who_o will_v not_o rather_o choose_v to_o be_v a_o doorkeeper_n in_o the_o house_n of_o god_n than_o to_o dwell_v in_o the_o tent_n or_o feast_v in_o the_o palace_n of_o ungodliness_n and_o if_o we_o can_v frame_v our_o mind_n to_o this_o virtuous_a compliance_n with_o our_o fortune_n then_o be_v poverty_n true_o the_o gift_n of_o god_n and_o a_o real_a blessing_n but_o if_o we_o find_v ourselves_o uneasy_a and_o groan_a under_o the_o burden_n of_o our_o want_n if_o we_o murmur_v against_o god_n and_o repine_v at_o the_o plenty_n of_o other_o then_o indeed_o be_v poverty_n a_o curse_n but_o it_o be_v a_o curse_n of_o our_o own_o make_n it_o be_v the_o punishment_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n upon_o we_o for_o our_o reformation_n therefore_o we_o must_v still_o give_v he_o thanks_o for_o he_o be_v still_o the_o help_n of_o our_o countenance_n and_o our_o god._n he_o bring_v good_a out_o of_o this_o evil_a and_o though_o the_o cloud_n of_o adversity_n shall_v seem_v to_o shut_v we_o out_o from_o his_o presence_n yet_o he_o visit_v we_o when_o we_o be_v in_o the_o dark_a region_n of_o despair_n if_o we_o down_o into_o hell_n he_o be_v there_o also_o he_o still_o retain_v a_o peculiar_a title_n to_o our_o gratitude_n and_o in_o the_o wiseman_n word_n though_o i_o shall_v be_v poor_a yet_o still_o he_o be_v my_o god_n and_o i_o will_v not_o take_v the_o name_n of_o my_o god_n in_o vain_a but_o last_o though_o it_o be_v possible_a to_o escape_v the_o temptation_n of_o riches_n and_o overcome_v the_o perplexity_n of_o want_n yet_o still_o the_o safe_a and_o most_o desirable_a course_n of_o life_n be_v a_o middle_a state_n between_o poverty_n and_o riches_n give_v i_o neither_o poverty_n nor_o riches_n say_v the_o wiseman_n but_o feed_v i_o with_o food_n convenient_a for_o i_o he_o will_v not_o willing_o either_o bring_v a_o burden_n upon_o himself_o by_o multiply_a riches_n to_o provide_v for_o other_o man_n nor_o be_v himself_o a_o burden_n unto_o other_o by_o seek_v a_o support_n from_o their_o hand_n he_o will_v neither_o have_v his_o thought_n rack_v and_o distract_v for_o want_n of_o necessary_a food_n nor_o yet_o slacken_v and_o dull_v for_o want_n of_o a_o convenient_a employment_n but_o he_o will_v choose_v such_o a_o condition_n of_o life_n as_o shall_v qualify_v he_o for_o the_o performance_n of_o his_o duty_n both_o towards_o god_n and_o man_n and_o divide_v his_o time_n between_o the_o care_n of_o this_o world_n and_o the_o next_o such_o a_o estate_n as_o shall_v oblige_v he_o to_o work_v with_o his_o hand_n the_o thing_n for_o his_o good_a and_o yet_o afford_v he_o time_n and_o opportunity_n to_o pay_v his_o duty_n unto_o god_n and_o beg_v his_o blessing_n upon_o the_o work_n of_o his_o hand_n that_o the_o favour_n and_o countenance_n of_o god_n may_v encourage_v he_o in_o his_o call_v and_o a_o faithful_a diligence_n in_o his_o call_v may_v enliven_v his_o devotion_n and_o increase_v the_o sense_n of_o his_o gratitude_n unto_o god._n thus_o while_o some_o labour_n under_o the_o burden_n of_o riches_n and_o honour_n and_o scarce_o enjoy_v the_o fruit_n of_o either_o whilst_o other_o be_v oppress_v with_o want_n and_o with_o difficulty_n bear_v up_o and_o maintain_v their_o virtue_n against_o the_o tide_n of_o adversity_n he_o alone_o enjoy_v himself_o in_o a_o peaceful_a calm_n and_o as_o god_n have_v place_v he_o above_o the_o contempt_n of_o the_o rich_a and_o below_o the_o envy_n of_o the_o poor_a so_o he_o neither_o envy_v the_o riches_n of_o the_o one_o nor_o contemn_v the_o poverty_n of_o the_o other_o have_v food_n and_o raiment_n he_o be_v therewith_o content_a and_o there_o be_v nothing_o in_o the_o world_n which_o he_o want_v because_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o which_o he_o desire_v as_o he_o place_v not_o his_o happiness_n in_o the_o possession_n of_o riches_n so_o neither_o do_v he_o disquiet_v himself_o for_o their_o loss_n but_o with_o cheerfulness_n he_o submit_v to_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o undergo_v the_o change_n of_o his_o estate_n with_o the_o same_o indifference_n as_o he_o do_v the_o change_n of_o his_o garment_n though_o the_o new_a at_o present_a be_v not_o altogether_o so_o fit_a and_o suitable_a to_o his_o body_n yet_o a_o little_a use_n and_o industry_n will_v make_v it_o so_o in_o all_o thing_n and_o at_o all_o time_n he_o be_v thankful_a and_o content_a and_o therefore_o manage_n no_o secret_a plot_n no_o treacherous_a design_n to_o advance_v his_o fortune_n with_o the_o disturb_v of_o his_o ease_n impair_n of_o his_o health_n wreck_v of_o his_o conscience_n and_o deny_v of_o his_o god._n no_o murmur_n be_v hear_v in_o his_o tent_n and_o no_o disappointment_n break_v his_o rest_n for_o virtue_n be_v his_o security_n god_n his_o defence_n and_o under_o the_o shadow_n of_o his_o wing_n he_o lay_v he_o down_o in_o peace_n and_o rise_v up_o with_o comfort_n so_o many_o and_o so_o great_a be_v the_o advantage_n of_o his_o private_a retire_a condition_n so_o sweet_a and_o refresh_a be_v his_o enjoyment_n so_o easy_a and_o comfortable_a be_v his_o business_n so_o sincere_a be_v his_o piety_n and_o so_o exalt_v his_o devotion_n that_o it_o be_v for_o the_o interest_n as_o well_o as_o for_o the_o ease_n of_o every_o man_n to_o frame_v his_o mind_n according_a to_o this_o standard_n and_o say_v with_o the_o wiseman_n in_o my_o text_n give_v i_o neither_o poverty_n nor_o riches_n but_o feed_v i_o with_o food_n convenient_a for_o i_o the_o end_n
unhappy_a man_n that_o no_o estate_n or_o condition_n can_v reconcile_v we_o to_o our_o present_a fortune_n but_o the_o want_n of_o our_o desire_n breed_v murmur_n in_o we_o and_o the_o very_a enjoyment_n of_o they_o yield_v we_o no_o satisfaction_n we_o have_v learn_v just_a contrary_n to_o st._n paul_n in_o whatsoever_o state_n we_o be_v therewith_o to_o be_v discontent_n we_o neither_o know_v how_o to_o be_v abase_v nor_o how_o to_o abound_v but_o when_o we_o be_v hungry_a we_o repine_v at_o god_n and_o when_o we_o be_v full_a we_o be_v a_o burden_n to_o ourselves_o it_o be_v strange_a that_o the_o mind_n of_o man_n shall_v so_o servile_o depend_v upon_o this_o world_n as_o not_o to_o maintain_v a_o steady_a course_n for_o one_o moment_n but_o be_v biased_a by_o every_o petty_a chance_n and_o change_v by_o every_o turn_n of_o fortune_n this_o be_v too_o evident_a a_o sign_n that_o our_o soul_n have_v no_o communication_n with_o heaven_n where_o all_o thing_n continue_v fix_v and_o settle_v no_o dependence_n upon_o god_n who_o be_v one_o and_o the_o same_o for_o ever_o since_o we_o put_v such_o confidence_n in_o these_o outward_a worldly_a good_n that_o with_o they_o our_o mind_n be_v so_o exalt_v and_o without_o they_o so_o much_o debase_v and_o yet_o we_o find_v by_o sad_a experience_n that_o few_o man_n can_v bear_v up_o against_o the_o stroke_n of_o fortune_n though_o they_o be_v inflict_v by_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n but_o when_o poverty_n come_v upon_o they_o they_o think_v themselves_o oppress_v as_o if_o they_o be_v to_o prescribe_v to_o the_o almighty_a in_o the_o dispensation_n of_o his_o blessing_n and_o their_o own_o desire_n be_v the_o only_a measure_n of_o their_o right_n without_o consider_v their_o own_o sin_n as_o the_o cause_n of_o their_o calamity_n or_o their_o own_o amendment_n as_o the_o end_n thereof_o they_o wrongful_o accuse_v both_o god_n and_o man_n as_o the_o author_n and_o instrument_n of_o that_o unhappiness_n which_o they_o owe_v chief_o to_o themselves_o sometime_o they_o look_v upon_o their_o neighbour_n plenty_n as_o the_o occasion_n of_o their_o distress_n and_o so_o steal_v from_o they_o to_o supply_v their_o own_o want_n thus_o starve_v their_o conscience_n to_o relieve_v their_o carcase_n and_o sacrifice_v their_o religion_n to_o the_o belly_n their_o god._n sometime_o they_o imagine_v the_o superfluity_n of_o another_o fortune_n be_v a_o reproach_n to_o the_o penury_n of_o they_o with_o envy_n they_o behold_v the_o affluence_n and_o ease_n of_o the_o rich_a and_o not_o content_a with_o the_o emptiness_n of_o their_o body_n they_o put_v leanness_n withal_o into_o their_o soul_n thus_o to_o a_o evil_a eye_n all_o object_n be_v offensive_a and_o even_o the_o goodness_n of_o god_n itself_o increase_v the_o offence_n then_o they_o repine_v at_o heaven_n for_o the_o unequal_a distribution_n of_o its_o gift_n curse_v the_o lord_n in_o their_o heart_n though_o they_o die_v for_o it_o and_o do_v even_o worse_o than_o take_v the_o name_n of_o their_o god_n in_o vain_a with_o very_o good_a reason_n therefore_o do_v the_o wiseman_n in_o my_o text_n pray_v give_v i_o not_o poverty_n and_o certain_o every_o wise_a man_n alive_a will_v join_v prayer_n with_o he_o lest_o shame_n contempt_n and_o want_n the_o only_a attendant_n of_o that_o uncomfortable_a state_n shall_v tempt_v we_o to_o mistrust_v the_o assistence_n of_o our_o god_n and_o so_o betray_v we_o through_o the_o frailty_n of_o our_o flesh_n to_o relieve_v ourselves_o by_o wicked_a mean_n and_o therefore_o no_o prudent_a no_o religious_a man_n can_v make_v real_a poverty_n his_o choice_n for_o though_o it_o be_v possible_a he_o may_v stem_v the_o tide_n of_o adversity_n and_o bear_v up_o glorious_o against_o all_o its_o wave_n yet_o it_o be_v possible_a too_o that_o he_o may_v be_v carry_v away_o with_o the_o stream_n and_o saint_n under_o the_o temptation_n and_o the_o conflict_n though_o as_o the_o devil_n true_o say_v a_o man_n may_v fall_v from_o the_o pinnacle_n of_o a_o temple_n without_o dash_v his_o foot_n against_o a_o stone_n yet_o the_o wise_a man_n that_o ever_o live_v think_v this_o no_o warrant_n for_o he_o to_o try_v the_o experiment_n he_o be_v happy_a that_o outlive_v the_o fall_n but_o he_o that_o be_v wise_a avoid_v the_o danger_n it_o be_v sufficient_a for_o we_o that_o god_n do_v not_o lead_v we_o into_o temptation_n why_o then_o shall_v we_o voluntary_o tempt_v the_o lord_n our_o god_n and_o the_o same_o reason_n hold_v also_o in_o the_o other_o extreme_a for_o riches_n too_o have_v their_o precipice_n as_o well_o as_o poverty_n and_o therefore_o be_v equal_o to_o be_v avoid_v prosperity_n have_v its_o dangerous_a trial_n and_o be_v expose_v to_o manifold_a temptation_n and_o it_o be_v ill_a trust_v to_o our_o own_o virtue_n when_o we_o have_v put_v ourselves_o into_o the_o midst_n of_o all_o the_o opportunity_n of_o vice_n on_o one_o hand_n the_o temptation_n of_o the_o world_n beset_v we_o and_o if_o that_o smile_n upon_o we_o we_o be_v too_o apt_a to_o be_v flatter_v and_o please_v ourselves_o it_o be_v natural_a for_o a_o man_n to_o rejoice_v in_o the_o work_n of_o his_o own_o hand_n and_o when_o he_o have_v dedicate_v his_o youth_n to_o worldly_a care_n and_o court_v mammon_n in_o his_o ripe_a year_n he_o will_v adore_v it_o in_o his_o old_a age_n and_o at_o length_n it_o will_v become_v his_o god._n here_o he_o place_v all_o his_o confidence_n and_o to_o convince_v we_o that_o covetousness_n be_v true_o idolatry_n like_o the_o heathen_a idolater_n he_o bow_v down_o to_o a_o image_n of_o his_o own_o make_n he_o worship_v it_o and_o pray_v to_o it_o and_o say_v deliver_v i_o for_o thou_o be_v my_o god._n on_o the_o other_o hand_n our_o riches_n expose_v we_o to_o the_o assault_n of_o the_o flesh_n which_o always_o gain_v ground_n upon_o we_o when_o we_o be_v full_a and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n exhort_v we_o not_o to_o make_v provision_n for_o the_o flesh_n to_o fulfil_v the_o lust_n thereof_o it_o be_v this_o plenty_n that_o nourish_v we_o in_o our_o vice_n and_o feed_v we_o in_o our_o lust_n it_o add_v fuel_n to_o the_o flame_n within_o we_o and_o whilst_o we_o yield_v a_o constant_a supply_n to_o our_o greedy_a desire_n the_o fire_n never_o go_v out_o fullness_n incline_v we_o to_o ease_v and_o luxury_n luxury_n beget_v sin_n and_o sin_n bring_v we_o to_o death_n thus_o we_o multiply_v our_o transgression_n together_o with_o our_o store_n and_o he_o that_o with_o solomon_n will_v take_v occasion_n from_o his_o riches_n to_o prove_v the_o mirth_n the_o pleasure_n and_o folly_n of_o sense_n like_v he_o also_o will_v find_v his_o wisdom_n overbear_v by_o his_o vice_n and_o so_o come_v at_o last_o to_o deny_v his_o god._n for_o when_o the_o vanity_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o lust_n of_o the_o flesh_n have_v take_v possession_n of_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n then_o come_v the_o devil_n and_o find_v a_o easy_a conquest_n he_o that_o deny_v the_o providence_n of_o god_n by_o trust_v in_o his_o own_o strength_n and_o deny_v the_o power_n of_o god_n by_o follow_v his_o own_o device_n have_v no_o way_n leave_v to_o vindicate_v his_o honour_n and_o quiet_a his_o conscience_n but_o by_o deny_v the_o very_a be_v of_o god_n and_o say_v with_o pharaoh_n who_o be_v the_o lord_n that_o i_o shall_v obey_v his_o voice_n thus_o proceed_v by_o degree_n from_o mistrust_n to_o disobedience_n and_o from_o disobedience_n to_o infidelity_n the_o foolish_a man_n deliver_v himself_o up_o to_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n and_o renounce_v the_o live_a god._n then_o he_o disclaim_v the_o benefit_n of_o his_o creation_n and_o rather_o than_o acknowledge_v a_o power_n above_o he_o will_v absurd_o impute_v his_o be_v to_o chance_n he_o deny_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n in_o his_o constant_a preservation_n and_o rather_o than_o give_v god_n the_o glory_n and_o thanks_o ascribe_v all_o his_o happiness_n to_o the_o work_n of_o his_o own_o hand_n he_o deny_v the_o justice_n of_o god_n in_o his_o judgement_n affliction_n disease_n and_o death_n he_o look_v upon_o as_o the_o necessity_n of_o his_o nature_n and_o not_o the_o punishment_n of_o his_o sin_n so_o perverse_a be_v he_o in_o all_o his_o way_n that_o moses_n and_o the_o prophet_n can_v reclaim_v he_o nothing_o but_o one_o from_o the_o dead_a be_v a_o demonstration_n that_o can_v please_v a_o riotous_a sinner_n and_o even_o that_o can_v convince_v he_o and_o yet_o can_v his_o riches_n redeem_v he_o from_o death_n or_o from_o the_o terror_n after_o death_n though_o in_o the_o hardness_n of_o his_o heart_n he_o deny_v the_o power_n of_o god_n whilst_o he_o live_v yet_o at_o length_n he_o must_v feel_v his_o vengeance_n and_o the_o fury_n of_o the_o lord_n will_v convince_v his_o error_n
oh_o death_n how_o bitter_a be_v the_o remembrance_n of_o thou_o to_o a_o man_n that_o live_v at_o rest_n in_o his_o possession_n and_o have_v prosperity_n in_o all_o thing_n how_o will_v he_o lament_v the_o fatal_a change_n of_o his_o estate_n when_o his_o jollity_n shall_v be_v turn_v into_o mourning_n and_o his_o pleasure_n into_o gnash_v of_o tooth_n when_o instead_o of_o purple_a he_o shall_v be_v clothe_v with_o ash_n and_o all_o the_o delicacy_n which_o he_o riotous_o devour_v in_o his_o life_n he_o will_v now_o exchange_v for_o one_o drop_n of_o water_n to_o cool_v his_o tongue_n when_o the_o voice_n of_o music_n which_o use_v to_o charm_v his_o ear_n shall_v be_v put_v to_o silence_n for_o ever_o in_o the_o grave_n and_o the_o howl_n of_o accurse_a spirit_n shall_v supply_v their_o place_n the_o flatterer_n which_o partake_v of_o his_o good_a thing_n and_o base_o extol_v his_o folly_n shall_v now_o partake_v of_o his_o misery_n too_o and_o without_o any_o dissimulation_n lament_v his_o and_o their_o own_o iniquity_n and_o because_o they_o make_v a_o mock_n of_o sin_n and_o laugh_v at_o the_o obedience_n of_o the_o righteous_a god_n also_o will_v laugh_v at_o their_o calamity_n and_o mock_v when_o their_o fear_n come_v therefore_o give_v we_o not_o riches_n lest_o we_o be_v full_a and_o deny_v thou_o and_o say_v who_o be_v the_o lord_n lest_o the_o lord_n also_o shall_v deny_v we_o in_o the_o day_n of_o our_o trouble_n and_o say_v depart_v from_o i_o you_o worker_n of_o wickedness_n i_o know_v you_o not_o i_o will_v not_o here_o be_v think_v to_o inveigh_v against_o the_o rich_a but_o only_o to_o reprove_v the_o folly_n and_o danger_n of_o those_o who_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o riches_n for_o since_o it_o be_v the_o goodness_n choose_v amiss_o and_o then_o abuse_v our_o choice_n have_v we_o but_o so_o much_o christian_a philosophy_n as_o to_o discern_v the_o true_a nature_n and_o import_n of_o earthly_a thing_n and_o to_o distinguish_v right_o between_o good_a and_o evil_n we_o can_v not_o be_v so_o fatal_o betray_v by_o specious_a show_n to_o forsake_v our_o real_a and_o substantial_a happiness_n how_o absurd_a be_v be_v no_o more_o to_o be_v value_v by_o the_o health_n strength_n or_o splendour_n thereof_o than_o a_o jewel_n be_v by_o the_o cabinet_n that_o contain_v it_o or_o gold_n by_o the_o chest_n wherein_o it_o be_v hide_v and_o if_o the_o body_n itself_o be_v of_o so_o little_a esteem_n in_o comparison_n of_o the_o mind_n and_o those_o divine_a excellency_n therein_o which_o entitle_v it_o to_o the_o image_n of_o god_n how_o much_o more_o inconsiderable_a be_v riches_n which_o serve_v only_o for_o ornament_n of_o the_o body_n and_o to_o clothe_v that_o part_n which_o cover_v we_o yet_o such_o be_v the_o folly_n and_o vanity_n of_o man_n that_o he_o make_v this_o part_n his_o chief_a business_n and_o delight_n for_o this_o it_o be_v that_o he_o rise_v up_o early_o and_o so_o late_o take_v rest_n and_o eat_v the_o bread_n of_o carefulness_n that_o his_o riches_n may_v be_v see_v of_o man_n and_o dazzle_v the_o eye_n of_o ignorant_a people_n in_o a_o most_o gross_a absurdity_n he_o neglect_v his_o soul_n to_o take_v care_n for_o his_o body_n and_o then_o neglect_v his_o body_n too_o and_o impair_v the_o health_n thereof_o to_o provide_v the_o unnecessary_a ornament_n of_o its_o outside_n thus_o with_o exquisite_a industry_n and_o diligence_n he_o clothes_v a_o carcase_n and_o if_o he_o can_v but_o paint_v and_o adorn_v his_o sepulchre_n he_o care_v not_o though_o all_o be_v stench_n
