instruct_v he_o justice_n to_o direct_v he_o mercy_n to_o preserve_v he_o and_o peace_n to_o delight_v he_o but_o he_o rebel_a against_o his_o creator_n they_o all_o flee_v from_o he_o &_o return_v four_o thing_n the_o species_n or_o kind_n of_o punishment_n he_o suffer_v the_o extension_n the_o intention_n and_o the_o duration_n thereof_o and_o of_o each_o of_o these_o brief_o in_o a_o word_n the_o kind_n of_o punishment_n be_v that_o which_o be_v due_a to_o sin_n and_o every_o way_n equivalent_a for_o the_o expiation_n thereof_o howbeit_o so_o far_o forth_o and_o no_o further_o than_o be_v convenient_a for_o such_o a_o person_n first_o therefore_o he_o suffer_v not_o that_o punishment_n of_o sin_n which_o be_v sin_n for_o god_n many_o time_n and_o that_o just_o punish_v one_o sin_n wound_n the_o taste_n with_o myrrh_n and_o vinegar_n the_o smell_n with_o the_o loathsome_a savour_n of_o golgotha_n the_o hear_n with_o shameful_a taunt_n and_o revile_n and_o the_o sight_n with_o exceed_o vehement_a even_o proportionable_a unto_o the_o desert_n of_o sin_n wherefore_o he_o stick_v not_o to_o say_v 1.12_o behold_v and_o see_v if_o there_o be_v any_o sorrow_n like_a unto_o my_o sorrow_n and_o again_o the_o sorrow_n of_o hell_n compass_v i_o round_o about_o not_o that_o he_o feel_v the_o flame_n of_o hell_n fire_n or_o the_o same_o kind_n of_o torment_n which_o the_o damn_a thou_o forsake_v i_o do_v all_o main_o argue_v that_o his_o pang_n be_v high_o strain_v and_o extraordinary_a for_o although_o he_o be_v not_o forsake_v of_o his_o father_n either_o by_o breach_n of_o personal_a union_n or_o loss_n of_o unction_n or_o diminution_n of_o grace_n or_o despair_v of_o protection_n and_o deliverance_n yet_o he_o be_v abandon_v and_o â—eft_v destitute_a of_o all_o present_a comfort_n so_o that_o his_o sorrow_n can_v not_o but_o be_v above_o all_o other_o sorrow_n and_o indeed_o how_o can_v it_o be_v otherwise_o for_o not_o to_o speak_v of_o the_o pain_n of_o the_o body_n which_o yet_o some_o affirm_v to_o be_v more_o intense_a then_o can_v be_v of_o other_o man_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o perfection_n and_o fineness_n of_o his_o complexion_n his_o sorrow_n be_v not_o for_o the_o sin_n of_o one_o man_n but_o of_o the_o whole_a world_n which_o can_v be_v no_o less_o than_o a_o world_n of_o sorrow_n and_o if_o his_o love_n to_o we_o be_v so_o infinite_a that_o he_o be_v content_a to_o suffer_v all_o these_o extremity_n for_o we_o his_o sorrow_n for_o the_o misery_n we_o be_v in_o can_v be_v no_o less_o but_o must_v every_o way_n be_v answerable_a unto_o his_o love_n so_o must_v it_o unto_o his_o wisdom_n also_o for_o by_o it_o perfect_o know_v and_o apprehend_v all_o the_o cause_n and_o reason_n of_o sorrow_n it_o can_v be_v avoid_v but_o that_o according_a to_o this_o knowledge_n &_o apprehension_n his_o sorrow_n shall_v be_v strain_v and_o intend_v the_o last_o point_n be_v the_o duration_n of_o his_o pain_n or_o how_o long_o he_o
