nor_o transplant_v into_o the_o house_n of_o god_n can_v have_v no_o other_o affection_n or_o action_n than_o be_v in_o the_o wicked_a world_n they_o can_v have_v that_o life_n which_o spring_v from_o christ_n alone_o again_o even_o reason_n will_v confirm_v it_o for_o when_o through_o the_o intercession_n of_o some_o special_a favourite_n satisfaction_n be_v receive_v and_o pardon_v proclaim_v to_o all_o who_o renownce_v their_o rebellion_n and_o lay_v down_o their_o arm_n come_v in_o acknowledge_v their_o fault_n submit_v themselves_o and_o give_v their_o oath_n of_o allegiance_n those_o have_v no_o benefit_n of_o this_o pardon_n who_o perform_v not_o these_o condition_n but_o continue_v in_o their_o treason_n thus_o our_o reason_n will_v assure_v we_o that_o the_o faithful_a and_o convey_v it_o to_o other_o and_o be_v themselves_o poor_a and_o naked_a man_n may_v fit_v at_o table_n see_v much_o variety_n of_o meat_n smell_v it_o know_v the_o sweetness_n of_o it_o taste_v the_o goodness_n of_o it_o but_o if_o they_o do_v not_o swallow_v retain_v and_o digest_v it_o it_o profit_v nothing_o thus_o many_o sit_v as_o the_o people_n of_o god_n have_v some_o savour_n and_o smack_n of_o some_o grace_n taste_v the_o good_a word_n but_o cast_v it_o out_o again_o and_o not_o incorporate_n it_o into_o their_o soul_n by_o a_o unfeigned_a faith_n &_o through_o obedience_n it_o do_v they_o no_o good_a so_o in_o that_o parable_n where_o the_o lord_n compare_v the_o word_n to_o seed_n 8._o the_o wicked_a be_v resemble_v to_o such_o ground_n as_o be_v either_o stony_a and_o resist_v it_o or_o haunt_v with_o ravenous_a fowl_n which_o devour_v it_o or_o overrun_a with_o thorn_n and_o brier_n which_o choke_v it_o and_o as_o moisture_n be_v suck_v and_o draw_v in_o by_o the_o root_n of_o trâ—es_n plant_v by_o the_o river_n but_o a_o stone_n though_o whelm_v in_o water_n yet_o be_v wet_a only_a in_o the_o superficies_n or_o outside_n but_o within_o be_v as_o before_o it_o be_v so_o the_o heart_n which_o be_v prepare_v for_o the_o word_n drink_v in_o this_o water_n of_o life_n prosper_v flourish_n and_o grow_v fruitful_a by_o it_o but_o a_o wicked_a man_n though_o he_o may_v seem_v to_o have_v his_o outside_n wash_v by_o it_o yet_o it_o never_o sink_v into_o his_o heart_n nor_o soak_v into_o he_o the_o reason_n of_o this_o be_v manifest_a 1._o there_o be_v no_o passage_n thence_o be_v send_v forth_o into_o every_o action_n but_o as_o when_o wholesome_a water_n be_v bring_v into_o a_o filthy_a pit_n the_o stink_a slime_n infect_v it_o with_o a_o noisome_a and_o poison_a quality_n so_o when_o that_o pure_a and_o precious_a word_n the_o water_n of_o life_n enter_v into_o a_o wicked_a and_o rebellious_a ear_n it_o prove_v deadly_a and_o as_o physic_n that_o never_o work_v the_o destruction_n of_o he_o who_o take_v it_o into_o his_o understanding_n resist_v it_o and_o suffer_v it_o not_o to_o work_v upon_o the_o will_n and_o affection_n see_v ezek._n 47._o 11._o the_o rain_n which_o fall_v from_o heaven_n and_o water_v the_o earth_n bring_v out_o both_o good_a seed_n and_o weed_n with_o it_o so_o the_o word_n do_v not_o only_o nourish_v good_a their_o hope_n of_o salvation_n by_o he_o god_n forbid_v say_v they_o that_o every_o ignorant_a person_n shall_v be_v damn_v god_n be_v more_o merciful_a than_o so_o more_o gracious_a than_o you_o
