father_n servant_n have_v he_o do_v desire_n to_o be_v in_o the_o base_a office_n this_o teach_v we_o this_o lesson_n god_n blessing_n be_v better_o know_v and_o more_o esteem_v by_o the_o want_v of_o they_o than_o by_o their_o enjoy_n the_o worth_n and_o value_n of_o god_n good_a blessing_n be_v not_o know_v till_o we_o be_v without_o they_o thus_o vision_n be_v precious_a in_o the_o day_n of_o ely_n when_o that_o be_v want_v and_o the_o prophet_n esay_n tell_v the_o people_n of_o israel_n that_o the_o blessing_n of_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v excellent_a and_o pleasant_a to_o they_o after_o strength_n of_o body_n and_o the_o like_a let_v they_o be_v more_o esteem_v of_o thou_o alas_o consider_v how_o miserable_a thou_o be_v without_o these_o the_o lord_n be_v fain_o so_o great_a be_v his_o mercy_n and_o our_o corruption_n to_o deprive_v his_o child_n of_o many_o of_o these_o good_a blessing_n till_o they_o know_v the_o price_n and_o worth_n of_o they_o and_o in_o their_o restraint_n make_v they_o enjoy_v the_o small_a blessing_n more_o thankful_o and_o comfortable_o hunger_n be_v good_a sauce_n and_o give_v good_a relish_n and_o taste_v to_o course_n meat_n and_o homely_a fare_n when_o for_o want_v hereof_o dainty_a dish_n be_v but_o contemn_v shall_v the_o lord_n deprive_v thou_o of_o thy_o health_n strength_n sense_n sleep_v then_o will_v thou_o see_v what_o a_o benefit_n thou_o have_v enjoy_v bewail_v therefore_o thy_o own_o corruption_n in_o this_o kind_n and_o pray_v for_o this_o wisdom_n that_o thou_o may_v rather_o know_v the_o worth_n of_o god_n blessing_n by_o the_o enjoy_n than_o by_o the_o want_v of_o they_o and_o he_o arise_v and_o come_v to_o his_o father_n etc._n etc._n this_o prodigal_a now_o put_v in_o practice_n what_o former_o he_o have_v resolve_v to_o do_v as_o resolve_v to_o arise_v so_o he_o arofe_n in_o this_o his_o practice_n we_o must_v consider_v first_o what_o he_o do_v second_o what_o he_o say_v for_o the_o first_o word_n and_o or_o so_o that_o be_v immediate_o he_o defer_v no_o time_n but_o present_o put_v in_o execution_n what_o be_v before_o but_o in_o purpose_n and_o resolution_n he_o arise_v and_o come_v to_o his_o father_n his_o arise_v be_v nothing_o else_o but_o his_o leave_v of_o sin_n as_o former_o we_o have_v hear_v and_o his_o come_n to_o his_o father_n be_v his_o turn_n to_o the_o lord_n so_o then_o here_o we_o have_v the_o part_n of_o true_a repentance_n lay_v down_o which_o be_v in_o number_n two_o first_o aversion_n from_o sin_n second_o conversion_n to_o god_n he_o arise_v the_o point_n we_o may_v observe_v hence_o be_v this_o where_o there_o be_v true_a repentance_n there_o be_v a_o rise_n from_o sin_n there_o be_v a_o leave_v and_o a_o forsake_v of_o all_o former_a evil_a way_n and_o course_n this_o point_n may_v be_v confirm_v by_o many_o example_n as_o of_o paul_n peter_n zacheus_n with_o other_o who_o leave_v their_o former_a course_n and_o commit_v they_o no_o more_o the_o use_v follow_v first_o hereby_o try_v thy_o repentance_n whether_o it_o be_v good_a or_o no_o have_v it_o wrought_v a_o change_n and_o alteration_n in_o thy_o affection_n word_n and_o action_n be_v all_o old_a thing_n do_v away_o and_o new_o come_v in_o the_o place_n thereof_o be_v there_o a_o forsake_v of_o sin_n a_o reformation_n of_o life_n if_o it_o be_v thus_o than_o it_o be_v well_o for_o thus_o it_o be_v and_o must_v be_v with_o every_o true_a penitent_n second_o this_o may_v serve_v for_o terror_n to_o such_o as_o find_v no_o change_n in_o themselves_o but_o be_v the_o continue_v unchanged_a adulterer_n you_o be_v covetous_a you_o be_v drunkard_n you_o be_v etc._n etc._n and_o so_o be_v still_o as_o proud_a as_o ever_o as_o profane_a as_o ever_o as_o worldly_a as_o ever_o as_o irreligious_a as_o ever_o if_o not_o worse_o than_o ever_o in_o the_o three_o place_n this_o may_v serve_v for_o the_o comfort_n of_o all_o such_o as_o do_v find_v this_o change_n in_o they_o who_o can_v say_v as_o that_o blind_a man_n who_o have_v his_o sight_n restore_v one_o thing_n i_o know_v that_o whereas_o i_o be_v blind_a now_o i_o see_v whereas_o i_o be_v filthy_a and_o find_v to_o be_v in_o thou_o that_o as_o other_o have_v be_v witness_n of_o thy_o sin_n so_o they_o may_v be_v also_o witness_n of_o thy_o repentance_n and_o come_v to_o his_o father_n from_o hence_o we_o learn_v in_o true_a repentance_n there_o be_v not_o only_o a_o rise_n from_o sin_n but_o also_o a_o turn_n to_o the_o lord_n and_o a_o set_n of_o our_o heart_n towards_o he_o and_o his_o kingdom_n the_o reason_n be_v this_o as_o by_o faith_n we_o be_v ingraft_v into_o christ_n jesus_n and_o so_o make_v partaker_n of_o his_o death_n and_o the_o power_n of_o it_o which_o cause_v we_o to_o die_v unto_o sin_n so_o also_o by_o the_o same_o faith_n we_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o his_o resurrection_n
