soul_n but_o that_o of_o a_o ordinary_a conscience_n it_o be_v but_o for_o a_o flesh_n and_o after_o they_o be_v worse_o than_o they_o be_v before_o i_o must_v cut_v off_o these_o thing_n because_o because_o we_o do_v not_o believe_v as_o we_o say_v of_o a_o man_n that_o be_v condemn_v because_o he_o can_v read_v therefore_o he_o be_v condemn_v he_o shall_v escape_v if_o he_o can_v read_v be_v for_o no_o great_a fault_n so_o it_o be_v here_o it_o be_v not_o believe_v in_o christ_n and_o repent_v make_v all_o other_o sin_n deadly_a the_o differ_v of_o one_o man_n from_o another_o be_v their_o faith_n and_o repentance_n some_o there_o be_v who_o sin_n be_v great_a than_o other_o yet_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o faith_n they_o work_v they_o out_o every_o day_n it_o be_v sin_n by_o apply_v to_o the_o conscience_n the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n this_o be_v his_o office_n first_o to_o convince_v the_o world_n of_o sin_n and_o then_o to_o convince_v of_o righteousness_n whereby_o we_o stand_v righteous_a before_o god_n and_o this_o righteousness_n here_o be_v not_o our_o own_o inherent_a but_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n a_o mediator_n god_n and_o man_n righteousness_n a_o fourfold_a gradation_n of_o convinction_n of_o righteousness_n the_o holy_a ghost_n convince_v of_o righteousness_n in_o this_o order_n of_o a_o fourfold_a gradation_n first_o that_o there_o must_v be_v a_o righteousness_n and_o a_o full_a righteousness_n the_o second_o be_v this_o that_o there_o be_v no_o such_o righteousness_n in_o the_o creature_n three_o that_o this_o be_v to_o be_v have_v in_o christ_n the_o mediator_n four_o that_o this_o righteousness_n be_v our_o righteousness_n gradation_n 1_o first_o there_o must_v be_v a_o righteousness_n for_o we_o have_v to_o deal_v with_o a_o god_n who_o be_v righteousness_n itself_o and_o no_o unclean_a thing_n shall_v come_v into_o heaven_n unless_o we_o have_v a_o righteousness_n how_o shall_v we_o look_v god_n in_o the_o face_n or_o how_o can_v we_o escape_v hell_n gradation_n 2_o now_o for_o the_o second_o that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o any_o creature_n man_n or_o angel_n we_o have_v not_o a_o righteousness_n of_o our_o own_o for_o there_o be_v divers_a thing_n to_o be_v satisfy_v god_n himself_o and_o the_o law_n and_o our_o own_o conscience_n and_o the_o world_n perhaps_o we_o may_v have_v a_o righteousness_n to_o satisfy_v the_o world_n because_o we_o live_v civil_o o_o but_o that_o will_v not_o satisfy_v conscience_n and_o then_o there_o must_v be_v a_o satisfaction_n to_o the_o law_n which_o be_v a_o large_a thing_n that_o condemn_v our_o thought_n desire_n but_o god_n be_v the_o most_o perfect_a of_o all_o put_v case_n we_o have_v a_o righteousness_n of_o a_o good_a carriage_n among_o man_n this_o will_v not_o satisfy_v god_n and_o the_o law_n it_o will_v not_o satisfy_v conscience_n man_n they_o be_v our_o fellow-prisoner_n conscience_n will_v not_o be_v content_v but_o with_o that_o which_o will_v content_v god_n when_o conscience_n see_v there_o be_v such_o a_o righteousness_n find_v out_o by_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n that_o content_v he_o else_o conscience_n will_v be_v always_o in_o doubt_n and_o fear_n gradation_n 3_o three_o this_o
