whether_o shall_v we_o run_v calamity_n even_o this_o must_v be_v our_o refuge_n to_o say_v and_o confess_v that_o god_n be_v great_a than_o all_o our_o misery_n and_o albeit_o we_o perish_v or_o rather_o seem_v in_o our_o own_o sense_n so_o to_o do_v yet_o god_n perish_v not_o and_o therefore_o we_o must_v assure_o trust_v in_o his_o goodness_n mercy_n and_o power_n and_o the_o sense_n and_o the_o same_o now_o as_o the_o godly_a in_o such_o danger_n find_v not_o always_o help_v and_o deliverance_n even_o so_o the_o wicked_a do_v not_o always_o prosper_v but_o even_o in_o this_o life_n be_v horrible_o plague_v for_o their_o impiety_n the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o pope_n have_v flourish_v long_o and_o yet_o we_o see_v that_o much_o of_o his_o power_n wealth_n and_o riches_n be_v diminish_v and_o the_o terrible_a vengeance_n of_o god_n be_v ready_a to_o fall_v upon_o he_o and_o he_o for_o their_o impiety_n our_o nobility_n and_o gentleman_n at_o this_o day_n contemn_v the_o ministry_n pluck_v away_o the_o live_n of_o the_o church_n and_o spoil_v the_o poor_a pastor_n and_o minister_n thereof_o but_o the_o time_n will_v come_v i_o nothing_o doubt_v when_o one_o pastor_n shall_v be_v more_o regard_v then_o x._o such_o gentleman_n and_o thus_o god_n show_v and_o will_v show_v his_o judgement_n in_o the_o defence_n of_o the_o godly_a even_o by_o corporal_a or_o watch_v when_o we_o sleep_v if_o he_o be_v not_o careful_a for_o we_o when_o we_o be_v careless_a we_o shall_v perish_v every_o moment_n we_o shall_v lose_v our_o tongue_n our_o eye_n our_o ear_n our_o hand_n our_o foot_n and_o our_o life_n also_o and_o for_o as_o much_o as_o these_o thing_n do_v many_o time_n chance_n and_o when_o we_o little_a doubt_n or_o think_v thereof_o our_o wife_n our_o child_n or_o our_o friend_n die_v or_o else_o fall_v into_o some_o great_a danger_n it_o be_v a_o minifest_z token_n that_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o devil_n be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o death_n and_o sin_n in_o this_o kingdom_n because_o we_o live_v while_o we_o be_v in_o this_o world_n hereof_o it_o come_v that_o we_o often_o time_n offend_v and_o fall_v into_o many_o sin_n thus_o david_n can_v not_o find_v he_o in_o heaven_n like_a as_o since_o god_n have_v reveil_v himself_o in_o that_o man_n christ_n we_o true_o say_v and_o also_o believe_v that_o whosoever_o do_v not_o embrace_v these_o hill_n in_o jerusalem_n not_o with_o bodily_a eye_n as_o the_o ox_n do_v his_o stall_n but_o with_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o spirit_n he_o see_v that_o god_n dwell_v there_o by_o his_o word_n hill_n concern_v god_n there_o can_v nothing_o be_v find_v therefore_o it_o be_v true_o say_v of_o the_o prophet_n that_o from_o these_o hill_n come_v help_v and_o succour_n that_o be_v to_o say_v from_o god_n dwell_v and_o abide_v there_o by_o his_o word_n like_a as_o we_o believe_v that_o christ_n be_v the_o throne_n of_o grace_n in_o the_o which_o be_v the_o treasure_n of_o all_o good_a thing_n and_o heavenly_a blessing_n to_o be_v find_v and_o without_o the_o which_o there_o be_v nothing_o now_o in_o that_o he_o do_v not_o only_o say_v my_o help_n come_v from_o the_o lord_n but_o add_v moreover_o which_o make_v heaven_n &_o earth_n he_o reprove_v &_o condemn_v all_o other_o help_n which_o man_n seek_v &_o procure_v unto_o themselves_o beside_o god_n with_o false_a trust_n &_o and_o barrenness_n of_o the_o earth_n what_o can_v he_o help_v what_o good_a can_v he_o do_v in_o disease_n &_o infirmity_n of_o the_o body_n if_o then_o in_o these_o corporal_a malady_n he_o can_v not_o help_v what_o can_v he_o do_v when_o the_o conscience_n be_v trouble_v with_o sin_n &_o the_o horror_n of_o death_n it_o be_v therefore_o but_o a_o false_a pleasure_n and_o delight_n that_o mammon_n bring_v which_o be_v but_o only_o to_o satisfy_v &_o please_v the_o eye_n as_o a_o picture_n or_o paint_a table_n against_o these_o help_n therefore_o &_o such_o like_a which_o the_o world_n seek_v after_o the_o prophet_n set_v the_o lord_n himself_o who_o make_v not_o only_a gold_n &_o silver_n not_o only_a food_n &_o sustenance_n heaven_n and_o earth_n that_o be_v to_o say_v angel_n man_n and_o the_o whole_a world_n but_o beside_o these_o give_v remission_n of_o sin_n faith_n righteousness_n joy_n &_o peace_n of_o heart_n with_o everlasting_a life_n he_o be_v say_v the_o prophet_n my_o almighty_a and_o sure_a help_n of_o who_o i_o can_v not_o doubt_v that_o he_o will_v ever_o fail_v i_o the_o twinkle_n of_o a_o eye_n to_o this_o lord_n i_o fly_v for_o aid_n &_o succour_n who_o not_o only_o in_o this_o life_n can_v and_o do_v give_v health_n &_o welfare_n for_o a_o few_o year_n with_o security_n of_o conscience_n &_o contempt_n of_o death_n &_o all_o the_o world_n do_v glory_n in_o their_o money_n if_o they_o vaunt_v of_o their_o wealth_n and_o riches_n why_o shall_v not_o we_o also_o glory_v in_o the_o trust_n &_o confidence_n we_o have_v in_o god_n which_o have_v make_v heaven_n and_o earth_n which_o have_v also_o in_o his_o hand_n all_o thing_n necessary_a both_o for_o this_o life_n &_o for_o the_o life_n to_o come_v but_o because_o these_o thing_n be_v invisible_a &_o can_v not_o be_v see_v but_o with_o spiritual_a eye_n therefore_o we_o common_o neglect_v they_o and_o albeit_o the_o lord_n do_v sometime_o hide_v these_o help_n from_o we_o &_o let_v we_o feel_v the_o lack_n thereof_o for_o a_o time_n as_o he_o do_v in_o deed_n to_o make_v we_o the_o more_o desirous_a of_o they_o
that_o he_o be_v able_a likewise_o to_o destroy_v both_o body_n and_o soul_n if_o god_n do_v so_o permit_v but_o also_o to_o stir_v we_o up_o to_o faith_n and_o prayer_n that_o we_o shall_v call_v upon_o he_o for_o aid_n and_o succour_v against_o these_o perilous_a snare_n and_o be_v deliver_v shall_v give_v he_o thanks_n and_o praise_n for_o the_o same_o moreover_o every_o tentation_n be_v a_o snare_n whether_o it_o be_v of_o the_o flesh_n or_o of_o the_o spirit_n persecution_n torment_n imprisonment_n slander_v disease_n and_o infirmity_n of_o the_o body_n be_v snare_n which_o as_o they_o &_o we_o be_v deliver_v experience_n hereof_o we_o have_v in_o those_o which_o be_v inward_o afflict_v &_o with_o heaviness_n of_o spirit_n grievous_o oppress_v that_o when_o they_o seem_v to_o be_v soul_n have_v almost_o dwell_v in_o silence_n 93._o verse_n 8._o our_o help_n be_v in_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o have_v make_v both_o heaven_n and_o earth_n this_o be_v the_o conclusion_n of_o thanksgiving_n affliction_n contain_v a_o worthy_a sentence_n of_o great_a comfort_n that_o against_o sin_n the_o horror_n of_o death_n and_o other_o danger_n there_o be_v no_o other_o help_n apostle_n time_n and_o with_o a_o show_n of_o holiness_n have_v deceive_v the_o simple_a which_o because_o god_n punish_v they_o not_o but_o spare_v they_o and_o suffer_v they_o to_o prosper_v in_o this_o world_n become_v so_o proud_a that_o they_o will_v be_v count_v amongst_o the_o holy_a and_o of_o the_o world_n be_v so_o common_o take_v we_o see_v that_o not_o only_o the_o godly_a be_v mix_v with_o the_o wicked_a in_o this_o world_n but_o in_o the_o lord_n floor_n also_o the_o wheat_n lie_v hide_v under_o the_o chaff_n we_o must_v pray_v therefore_o that_o god_n will_v bring_v these_o particular_a captivity_n for_o what_o great_a matter_n be_v it_o for_o this_o people_n of_o the_o jew_n be_v as_o it_o be_v but_o a_o little_a handful_n to_o be_v deliver_v out_o of_o temporal_a all_o together_o according_a to_o the_o eye_n of_o the_o flesh_n which_o eye_n can_v see_v nothing_o but_o trouble_n and_o misery_n but_o the_o spirit_n raise_v up_o and_o comfort_v the_o godly_a with_o this_o comfort_n that_o god_n will_v both_o bless_v they_o by_o the_o mean_n of_o their_o labour_n for_o if_o he_o give_v any_o thing_n to_o those_o which_o be_v idle_a and_o slothful_a he_o give_v it_o but_o to_o their_o destruction_n and_o that_o this_o sweat_n &_o this_o travel_n please_v god_n high_o here_o be_v two_o great_a commodity_n for_o one_o discommodity_n which_o the_o flesh_n see_v only_o and_o no_o more_o but_o here_o we_o must_v note_v that_o this_o be_v not_o call_v labour_n only_o when_o the_o body_n be_v exercise_v and_o weary_v but_o the_o care_n and_o be_v feel_v which_o we_o now_o believe_v but_o because_o faith_n must_v go_v before_o feeling_n and_o experience_n and_o we_o must_v believe_v the_o word_n although_o we_o feel_v in_o our_o own_o heart_n and_o judgement_n never_o so_o much_o to_o the_o contrary_n as_o when_o our_o heart_n oppress_v with_o calamity_n do_v think_v god_n to_o be_v angry_a with_o we_o not_o to_o care_v for_o we_o but_o to_o hate_v we_o then_o faith_n clean_a contrary_n must_v thus_o assure_v itself_o that_o with_o god_n there_o be_v neither_o anger_n nor_o hatred_n that_o he_o neither_o think_v of_o
