by_o common_a fail_n but_o fall_v into_o great_a transgression_n also_o our_o chief_a enemy_n be_v those_o of_o our_o own_o house_n the_o devil_n can_v do_v we_o little_a hurt_n from_o without_o have_v he_o not_o such_o a_o strong_a party_n for_o he_o and_o side_v with_o he_o in_o our_o own_o bowel_n or_o within_o we_o this_o inbred_a enemy_n always_o lie_v in_o wait_n to_o betray_v we_o and_o if_o we_o take_v not_o the_o more_o care_n will_v prevail_v against_o we_o and_o at_o one_o time_n or_o another_o trip_n up_o our_o heel_n especial_o that_o sin_n which_o do_v chief_o beset_v we_o most_o christian_n have_v their_o constitution-sin_n though_o no_o godly_a man_n have_v a_o belove_a sin_n yea_o the_o seed_n of_o all_o sin_n still_o remain_v in_o
past_a christ_n death_n have_v glorious_a effect_n as_o the_o apostle_n show_v for_o if_o the_o blood_n of_o bull_n and_o goat_n and_o ash_n of_o a_o heifer_n sprinkle_v the_o unclean_a sanctify_v to_o the_o purify_n of_o the_o flesh_n how_o much_o more_o shall_v the_o blood_n of_o christ_n who_o through_o the_o eternal_a spirit_n offer_v himself_o to_o god_n purge_v your_o conscience_n from_o dead_a work_n to_o serve_v the_o live_a god_n to_o talk_v of_o christ_n death_n and_o see_v no_o effect_n of_o it_o alas_o what_o be_v that_o all_o that_o christ_n die_v for_o shall_v see_v and_o a_o poor_a slave_n in_o his_o chain_n and_o iron_n without_o procure_v a_o release_n for_o he_o in_o this_o lie_v the_o glory_n of_o our_o redemption_n by_o christ_n it_o be_v not_o only_a from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n and_o wrath_n of_o god_n but_o from_o a_o vain_a conversation_n also_o see_v the_o apostle_n word_n who_o give_v himself_o for_o we_o that_o he_o may_v redeem_v we_o 14._o from_o all_o iniquity_n and_o purify_v unto_o himself_o a_o peculiar_a people_n zealous_a of_o good_a work_n if_o this_o be_v his_o end_n and_o design_n in_o his_o death_n do_v any_o think_v he_o will_v see_v himself_o frustrate_v in_o it_o shall_v any_o enemy_n of_o the_o soul_n bring_v christ_n under_o a_o disappointment_n compare_v this_o with_o 1_o pes._n 1._o 17_o 18_o 19_o ten_o the_o earnest_a of_o it_o therefore_o his_o death_n preserve_v they_o to_o salvation_n in_o who_o you_o also_o trust_v after_o 14._o you_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o truth_n the_o gospel_n of_o your_o piece_n be_v to_o speak_v untrue_o or_o in_o plain_a english_a a_o lie_n now_o be_v all_o man_n redeem_v redemption_n can_v be_v more_o universal_a than_o it_o be_v in_o matter_n of_o fact_n if_o ten_o man_n be_v in_o slavery_n in_o algiers_n and_o a_o sum_n of_o money_n be_v pay_v to_o redeem_v they_o and_o yet_o after_o all_o care_n be_v not_o take_v to_o make_v that_o ransom_n to_o be_v effectual_a for_o their_o redemption_n but_o six_o or_o seven_o of_o they_o be_v leave_v in_o captivity_n can_v any_o man_n say_v all_o the_o ten_o be_v redeem_v out_o of_o that_o slavery_n and_o thraldom_n wherein_o they_o be_v hold_v even_o so_o it_o be_v here_o for_o man_n to_o say_v that_o the_o redemption_n by_o christ_n be_v for_o all_o the_o world_n and_o yet_o the_o great_a part_n of_o mankind_n lie_v in_o bond_n under_o the_o power_n of_o sin_n and_o satan_n and_o have_v not_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n make_v effectual_a to_o they_o be_v a_o great_a mistake_n and_o indeed_o not_o true_a as_o to_o matter_n of_o fact_n 2._o be_v we_o redeem_v only_o from_o the_o curse_n of_o the_o law_n and_o from_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o be_v we_o not_o also_o redeem_v from_o sin_n and_o from_o be_v under_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n that_o redemption_n that_o be_v by_o christ_n be_v you_o hear_v from_o all_o iniquity_n and_o be_v all_o so_o redeem_v the_o apostle_n peter_n say_v forasmuch_o as_o you_o know_v that_o you_o be_v not_o redeem_v with_o corruptible_a thing_n as_o silver_n and_o gold_n from_o a_o vain_a conversation_n 18._o but_o with_o the_o precious_a blood_n of_o jesus_n christ_n etc._n etc._n so_o many_o as_o be_v and_o shall_v be_v redeem_v from_o all_o iniquity_n from_o a_o vain_a conversation_n or_o who_o christ_n have_v redeem_v from_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n he_o set_v they_o at_o liberty_n who_o natural_o be_v bind_v and_o bring_v they_o out_o of_o the_o prisonhouse_n so_o many_o and_o no_o more_o do_v he_o die_v for_o and_o no_o further_o do_v redemption_n by_o christ_n extend_v 3._o if_o there_o be_v many_o leave_v in_o the_o enemy_n hand_n and_o under_o their_o power_n and_o eternal_o perish_v then_o there_o be_v no_o general_n or_o universal_a redemption_n but_o there_o be_v multitude_n so_o leave_v and_o perish_v 4._o that_o grace_n love_n and_o bless_a price_n that_o do_v not_o procure_v universal_a salvation_n
