help_v or_o further_a man_n to_o this_o matter_n that_o can_v neither_o word_n work_n nor_o other_o ceremony_n do_v nor_o final_o any_o creature_n nor_o the_o work_n power_n knowledge_n action_n or_o and_o where_o god_n himself_o will_v be_v or_o be_v there_o also_o the_o same_o thing_n be_v do_v as_o be_v to_o be_v perceive_v in_o christ_n also_o where_o this_o be_v in_o the_o divine_a and_o proceed_v from_o the_o divine_a light_n there_o be_v not_o spiritual_a pride_n nor_o foolish_a liberty_n or_o a_o mind_n licentious_a but_o lowly_a submission_n and_o a_o depress_v humble_a and_o sorrowful_a soul_n and_o all_o order_n justice_n equality_n truth_n and_o whatsoever_o belong_v to_o all_o virtue_n there_o must_v also_o be_v peace_n and_o contentedness_n of_o estate_n and_o condition_n but_o if_o it_o be_v otherwise_o it_o be_v not_o right_a with_o man_n as_o be_v well_o elsewhere_o say_v more_o at_o large_a and_o as_o true_o there_o be_v nothing_o which_o may_v help_v reason_n for_o this_o do_v climb_v so_o high_a and_o stand_v so_o far_o in_o she_o own_o light_n and_o on_o herself_o as_o that_o she_o think_v herself_o to_o be_v that_o eternal_a and_o true_a light_n and_o do_v challenge_v to_o herself_o to_o be_v the_o same_o and_o be_v deceive_v in_o herself_o deceive_v other_o with_o herself_o who_o know_v no_o better_o be_v thereto_o also_o incline_v chap._n xix_o the_o state_n of_o a_o christian_a be_v not_o to_o be_v expresle_v here_o some_o man_n will_v ask_v in_o what_o estate_n that_o man_n be_v who_o follow_v the_o true_a light_n as_o much_o as_o be_v possible_a to_o he_o to_o who_o i_o will_v answer_v that_o this_o can_v never_o true_o be_v say_v and_o why_o so_o because_o that_o he_o who_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n can_v say_v it_o neither_o can_v he_o that_o be_v it_o and_o know_v it_o speak_v it_o but_o if_o any_o desire_n to_o know_v it_o let_v he_o expect_v until_o he_o be_v that_o thing_n further_o i_o believe_v that_o his_o outward_a conversation_n and_o manner_n be_v such_o that_o he_o be_v capable_a of_o whatsoever_o be_v fit_v and_o convenient_a to_o be_v do_v and_o whatsoever_o be_v not_o meet_v and_o convenient_a to_o be_v do_v but_o be_v there_o not_o some_o lust_n of_o man_n who_o say_v so_o i_o will_v so_o i_o command_v this_o he_o be_v not_o capable_a of_o but_o man_n persuade_v himself_o that_o many_o thing_n be_v fit_v and_o ought_v to_o be_v do_v which_o notwithstanding_o be_v foul_a and_o not_o meet_v to_o be_v do_v if_o a_o man_n own_o pride_n or_o covetousness_n or_o any_o other_o vice_n or_o dishonesty_n provoke_v he_o to_o do_v or_o omit_v any_o thing_n he_o say_v that_o necessity_n urge_v he_o to_o it_o and_o that_o it_o ought_v to_o be_v do_v if_o the_o favour_n or_o friendship_n of_o man_n or_o his_o own_o lust_n do_v set_v he_o forward_o to_o this_o or_o that_o or_o do_v draw_v he_o from_o it_o he_o say_v so_o it_o be_v meet_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v and_o all_o these_o thing_n be_v false_a but_o if_o man_n have_v none_o other_o must_n or_o aught_o but_o that_o which_o god_n our_o preserver_n and_o truth_n do_v draw_v and_o turn_v we_o to_o he_o shall_v sometime_o have_v more_o business_n and_o work_n then_o now_o he_o have_v chap._n xx._n that_o the_o world_n be_v mad_a it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o devil_n and_o his_o spirit_n do_v sometime_o so_o possess_v and_o hold_v some_o man_n as_o that_o he_o know_v not_o what_o he_o do_v leave_v undo_v be_v beside_o himself_o the_o evil_a spirit_n have_v such_o command_n over_o he_o as_o that_o in_o he_o with_o he_o and_o through_o he_o and_o from_o he_o he_o do_v or_o omit_v whatsoever_o he_o will_n this_o in_o some_o sort_n be_v true_a that_o the_o whole_a world_n be_v possess_v with_o the_o devil_n and_o carry_v of_o he_o that_o be_v by_o lie_n deceit_n and_o other_o wickedness_n and_o vice_n which_o be_v all_o diabolical_a if_o therefore_o any_o man_n be_v in_o such_o manner_n possess_v and_o transport_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n as_o that_o he_o know_v not_o what_o he_o do_v or_o do_v not_o or_o be_v so_o out_o of_o himself_o as_o that_o the_o will_n and_o spirit_n of_o god_n shall_v moderate_v his_o action_n and_o so_o govern_v and_o move_v he_o as_o to_o cause_v he_o with_o he_o and_o from_o he_o whatsoever_o he_o will_v and_o how_o he_o will_v than_o this_o man_n be_v one_o of_o those_o of_o who_o saint_n paul_n speak_v romans_z 8._o whosoever_o be_v carry_v and_o move_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n the_o same_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o not_o subject_n to_o the_o law_n and_o to_o who_o christ_n say_v it_o be_v not_o you_o that_o speak_v but_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n speak_v in_o you_o but_o i_o fear_v that_o there_o be_v a_o hundred_o thousand_o or_o rather_o so_o many_o as_o can_v be_v number_v who_o be_v move_v by_o the_o devil_n whereas_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n not_o one_o be_v move_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o come_v to_o pass_v because_o man_n have_v more_o likeness_n to_o the_o devil_n then_o to_o god_n for_o egoity_n and_o selfness_n belong_v whole_o to_o the_o devil_n now_o in_o one_o or_o two_o word_n all_o thing_n may_v be_v here_o express_v which_o i_o have_v here_o rehearse_v in_o so_o many_o word_n even_o thus_o be_v thou_o whole_o and_o plain_o without_o thyself_o and_o yet_o this_o matter_n be_v more_o full_o and_o better_a declare_v and_o show_v and_o distinguish_v in_o many_o word_n now_o some_o man_n will_v say_v i_o be_o unprepared_a for_o all_o these_o thing_n therefore_o this_o can_v be_v do_v in_o i_o and_o so_o man_n do_v get_v and_o find_v out_o some_o excuse_n to_o the_o which_o we_o may_v thus_o answer_v that_o man_n be_v not_o ready_a and_o be_v unprepared_a it_o be_v certain_o his_o own_o fault_n for_o if_o man_n will_v mind_v and_o do_v nothing_o
worship_v i_o and_o be_v subject_a to_o i_o this_o he_o seek_v and_o desire_v &_o willing_o receive_v from_o all_o the_o creature_n and_o especial_o from_o man_n and_o in_o his_o own_o conceit_n he_o be_v worthy_a of_o all_o these_o and_o think_v that_o they_o be_v due_a unto_o he_o and_o he_o do_v account_v all_o man_n as_o beast_n and_o whatsoever_o be_v such_o as_o that_o it_o can_v yield_v unto_o his_o body_n flesh_n &_o nature_n delight_n pleasure_n contentment_n and_o cheerfulness_n he_o think_v himself_o worthy_a of_o it_o all_o and_o that_o he_o seek_v and_o receive_v whensoever_o he_o can_v obtain_v it_o and_o he_o think_v all_o too_o little_a which_o he_o can_v obtain_v suppose_v that_o he_o be_v true_o worthy_a of_o they_o all_o and_o all_o man_n that_o do_v serve_v he_o and_o be_v at_o his_o command_n although_o they_o be_v thief_n and_o robber_n yet_o he_o say_v that_o they_o be_v noble_a and_o faithful_a heart_n and_o faithful_a and_o charitable_a to_o the_o truth_n and_o towards_o poor_a man_n and_o he_o praif_v seek_v and_o follow_v they_o wheresoever_o they_o be_v and_o if_o any_o man_n fail_v to_o reverence_v these_o proud_a fellow_n to_o obey_v they_o and_o to_o be_v subject_a unto_o their_o will_n such_o a_o one_o be_v not_o commend_v of_o they_o but_o be_v contemn_v although_o he_o be_v as_o holy_a as_o s._n peter_n therefore_o when_o this_o spiritual_a pride_n do_v seem_v to_o itself_o to_o stand_v in_o need_n neither_o of_o scripture-teaching_a nor_o the_o like_a it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o it_o do_v not_o scorn_v alone_o but_o also_o deride_v all_o ceremony_n ordinance_n precept_n law_n and_o the_o very_a sacrament_n of_o the_o holy_a church_n also_o all_o those_o man_n who_o have_v these_o order_n in_o use_n and_o do_v attribute_v any_o thing_n unto_o they_o hence_o it_o be_v easy_o perceive_v that_o both_o these_o sister_n do_v dwell_v together_o beside_o this_o rich_a man_n in_o his_o pride_n do_v sometime_o imagine_v that_o he_o understand_v and_o know_v more_o than_o all_o man_n whence_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o he_o be_v forward_o to_o speak_v and_o babble_n more_o than_o all_o other_o man_n and_o will_v have_v his_o say_n and_o talk_v only_o in_o request_n and_o to_o be_v hear_v and_o all_o other_o man_n discourse_n to_o be_v hold_v erroneous_a or_o ridiculous_a and_o foolish_a chap._n xxiv_o who_o be_v poor_a in_o spirit_n but_o where_o spiritual_a poverty_n and_o true_a submission_n be_v there_o the_o matter_n be_v otherwise_o and_o this_o arise_v hence_o because_o that_o we_o true_o find_v and_o know_v that_o man_n of_o himself_o and_o by_o his_o own_o mean_n be_v nothing_o and_o can_v do_v nothing_o neither_o be_v fit_a for_o any_o thing_n nor_o have_v any_o thing_n but_o vice_n and_o wickedness_n hence_o it_o come_v that_o man_n do_v hold_v himself_o altogether_o unworthy_a of_o these_o thing_n which_o can_v befall_v he_o from_o god_n or_o from_o all_o the_o creature_n and_o that_o in_o the_o cause_n of_o god_n and_o all_o the_o creature_n he_o ought_v both_o to_o suffer_v and_o sometime_o to_o do_v for_o god_n sake_n so_o as_o of_o himself_o he_o have_v true_o right_a to_o nothing_o but_o out_o of_o the_o humility_n of_o his_o mind_n thus_o he_o speak_v it_o be_v meet_v and_o convenient_a that_o god_n and_o all_o the_o creature_n shall_v be_v my_o enemy_n and_o shall_v censure_v i_o and_o have_v right_a against_o i_o and_o i_o have_v right_a to_o nothing_o hence_o it_o be_v that_o this_o man_n neither_o will_v ask_v nor_o regard_v any_o thing_n of_o god_n or_o the_o creature_n but_o only_a thing_n necessary_a and_o that_o very_o fearful_o and_o as_o by_o free_a gift_n and_o not_o of_o right_n neither_o do_v he_o afford_v his_o body_n or_o nature_n any_o more_o good_a or_o pleasure_n then_o necessity_n require_v neither_o do_v he_o suffer_v or_o permit_v that_o any_o man_n shall_v help_v or_o serve_v he_o but_o in_o case_n of_o necessity_n and_o that_o be_v not_o without_o fear_n because_o he_o have_v no_o right_a to_o any_o thing_n and_o seem_v unto_o himself_o unworthy_a of_o all_o thing_n this_o man_n think_v that_o all_o his_o word_n and_o say_n be_v nothing_o else_o but_o folly_n and_o therefore_o he_o speak_v or_o talk_v with_o no_o man_n in_o way_n of_o teach_v except_o he_o be_v thrust_v on_o with_o divine_a love_n and_o even_o then_o he_o do_v it_o with_o fear_n and_o that_o as_o spare_o as_o may_v be_v it_o be_v also_o discern_v and_o find_v out_o in_o this_o spiritual_a poverty_n and_o humility_n that_o all_o man_n depend_v whole_o and_o absolute_o on_o themselves_o be_v prone_a and_o ready_a to_o commit_v any_o sin_n and_o wickedness_n therefore_o as_o it_o be_v necessary_a and_o behoveful_a that_o there_o shall_v be_v ordinance_n ceremony_n law_n and_o precept_n whereby_o their_o blindness_n may_v be_v discover_v and_o their_o ungodliness_n reduce_v unto_o order_n which_o if_o it_o be_v not_o man_n will_v become_v worse_o and_o more_o disorder_a then_o dog_n and_o other_o beast_n beside_o many_o man_n be_v draw_v and_o convert_v to_o the_o truth_n by_o these_o ceremony_n and_o ordinance_n which_o otherwise_o will_v not_o be_v draw_v and_o sure_o few_o man_n attain_v to_o the_o truth_n who_o have_v not_o first_o receive_v ordinance_n and_o ceremony_n and_o exercise_v themselves_o in_o they_o whilst_o they_o know_v no_o other_o nor_o better_a thing_n hence_o it_o be_v that_o law_n and_o ordinance_n be_v not_o despise_v nor_o contemn_v in_o humility_n of_o spirit_n and_o spiritual_a poverty_n nor_o man_n who_o do_v use_v and_o handle_v they_o but_o out_o of_o love_n and_o mercy_n such_o a_o man_n do_v complain_v and_o lament_v the_o case_n of_o other_o man_n with_o grief_n on_o this_o wise_a o_o god_n of_o truth_n i_o pour_v out_o my_o complaint_n before_o thou_o and_o thou_o thyself_o prevail_v that_o man_n blindness_n vice_n and_o wickedness_n do_v cause_n that_o to_o be_v needful_a and_o necessary_a to_o be_v do_v which_o notwithstanding_o in_o truth_n need_v not_o be_v nor_o aught_o to_o be_v do_v and_o here_o be_v a_o certain_a desire_n that_o man_n who_o know_v nothing_o better_o nor_o any_o other_o mean_v to_o the_o truth_n may_v know_v and_o understand_v to_o what_o end_n all_o law_n and_o ordinance_n be_v and_o be_v make_v and_o this_o poor_a man_n in_o spirit_n of_o who_o i_o speak_v do_v use_v all_o these_o thing_n together_o with_o other_o man_n which_o know_v neither_o better_o nor_o any_o other_o thing_n and_o be_v partaker_n of_o these_o with_o they_o by_o this_o mean_v he_o may_v keep_v they_o from_o turn_v themselves_o unto_o evil_a thing_n and_o that_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a he_o may_v bring_v they_o near_o again_o whatsoever_o have_v hitherto_o be_v speak_v of_o poverty_n and_o humility_n that_o be_v true_o so_o and_o may_v be_v make_v plain_a and_o evident_a by_o the_o life_n &_o word_n of_o christ_n who_o do_v exercise_v and_o perfect_o work_v every_o act_n of_o the_o humility_n as_o it_o be_v find_v in_o his_o life_n and_o as_o he_o teach_v by_o his_o word_n say_v learn_v of_o i_o because_o i_o be_o meek_a and_o lowly_a of_o heart_n he_o do_v not_o neglect_v or_o despise_v the_o old_a law_n and_o discipline_n nor_o the_o man_n who_o be_v subject_a to_o the_o law_n yet_o he_o say_v that_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a but_o that_o we_o must_v go_v forward_o as_o it_o be_v true_a we_o ought_v s._n paul_n also_o do_v write_v that_o christ_n take_v upon_o he_o the_o law_n that_o he_o may_v free_v those_o that_o be_v under_o the_o law_n that_o be_v bring_v they_o to_o near_o and_o better_a thing_n christ_n also_o say_v i_o come_v not_o to_o be_v serve_v but_o to_o serve_v brief_o in_o all_o the_o deed_n word_n and_o life_n of_o christ_n there_o be_v nothing_o find_v but_o true_a humility_n and_o poverty_n and_o as_o i_o say_v before_o where_o god_n be_v man_n and_o where_o christ_n be_v there_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o this_o shall_v be_v therefore_o where_o pride_n of_o mind_n and_o spiritual_a riches_n and_o 〈◊〉_d of_o a_o light_a mind_n be_v there_o neither_o be_v christ_n nor_o his_o true_a imitator_n christ_n say_v my_o soul_n be_v sorrowful_a even_o to_o the_o death_n speak_v of_o the_o death_n of_o the_o body_n which_o come_v to_o pass_v because_o he_o be_v bear_v of_o mary_n until_o the_o death_n of_o his_o body_n and_o how_o this_o be_v have_v be_v show_v before_o christ_n say_v bless_a be_v the_o poor_a in_o spirit_n that_o be_v such_o as_o be_v true_o humble_v for_o they_o be_v the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n so_o also_o say_v the_o truth_n yet_o it_o be_v not_o write_v miserable_a and_o curse_a be_v the_o proud_a in_o heart_n for_o they_o be_v the_o
god_n have_v rather_o live_v sin_n remain_v or_o not_o to_o destroy_v sin_n by_o his_o death_n he_o will_v answer_v that_o he_o will_v rather_o die_v for_o the_o sin_n of_o one_o man_n be_v more_o grievous_a to_o god_n and_o trouble_v he_o more_o than_o the_o torment_n and_o death_n of_o god_n himself_o then_o if_o the_o sin_n of_o one_o man_n grieve_v he_o so_o much_o what_o grief_n shall_v we_o think_v that_o he_o undergo_v through_o the_o sin_n of_o man_n in_o general_n here_o we_o may_v perceive_v after_o what_o manner_n man_n trouble_v god_n by_o sin_v and_o where_o god_n be_v man_n or_o in_o a_o deify_v man_n there_o be_v no_o complaint_n of_o any_o thing_n but_o of_o sin_n neither_o do_v any_o thing_n else_o cause_n grief_n for_o whatsoever_o be_v or_o be_v do_v without_o sin_n that_o god_n will_v have_v and_o that_o shall_v be_v but_o the_o complaint_n of_o sorrow_n which_o be_v for_o sin_n that_o be_v meet_v and_o fit_v that_o it_o shall_v remain_v in_o a_o deify_v man_n until_o the_o death_n of_o the_o body_n though_o he_o shall_v live_v to_o the_o last_o day_n and_o for_o ever_o from_o hence_o do_v and_o do_v arise_v the_o hide_a sorrow_n of_o christ_n which_o no_o man_n can_v either_o utter_v or_o know_v but_o only_o christ_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v both_o call_v and_o indeed_o be_v a_o hide_a sorrow_n and_o sure_o this_o be_v a_o thing_n proper_a to_o god_n who_o will_v have_v it_o so_o and_o delight_v therewith_o in_o man_n and_o be_v certain_o appertain_v to_o god_n for_o it_o do_v not_o belong_v to_o man_n neither_o be_v it_o in_o man_n power_n and_o where_o god_n can_v attain_v to_o this_o he_o hold_v it_o most_o dear_a and_o acceptable_a to_o he_o but_o to_o man_n it_o be_v most_o bitter_a and_o grievous_a all_o thing_n which_o be_v here_o set_v down_o of_o the_o propriety_n of_o god_n which_o he_o will_v have_v in_o man_n in_o who_o they_o be_v erect_v and_o exercise_v this_o i_o say_v the_o true_a light_n teach_v and_o it_o do_v therefore_o teach_v that_o man_n upon_o who_o it_o be_v bestow_v and_o in_o who_o it_o be_v exercise_v to_o this_o end_n may_v no_o more_o challenge_v it_o as_o his_o own_o then_o if_o himself_o be_v not_o at_o all_o for_o by_o this_o mean_n at_o the_o length_n it_o do_v appear_v that_o man_n be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v this_o neither_o ought_v it_o to_o be_v attribute_v to_o he_o chap._n xxxvi_o that_o the_o life_n of_o christ_n be_v to_o be_v love_v for_o itself_o and_o not_o for_o reward_v therefore_o wheresoever_o such_o a_o kind_n of_o deify_v man_n shall_v be_v or_o be_v there_o also_o may_v be_v and_o be_v the_o best_a and_o excellent_a life_n and_o most_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n of_o any_o that_o ever_o be_v or_o shall_v be_v hereafter_o and_o out_o of_o the_o eternal_a love_n which_o love_v god_n as_o good_a and_o for_o good_a and_o do_v also_o love_v that_o in_o all_o thing_n which_o be_v best_a and_o most_o excellent_a only_o for_o good_a this_o true_a and_o worthy_a life_n be_v so_o much_o belove_v that_o it_o be_v never_o forsake_v of_o that_o man_n in_o who_o it_o be_v although_o he_o shall_v live_v even_o to_o the_o last_o day_n yea_o and_o further_o it_o be_v unpossible_a that_o it_o shall_v be_v forsake_v although_o that_o man_n shall_v die_v a_o thousand_o death_n and_o all_o evil_n shall_v befall_v he_o which_o can_v befall_v all_o creature_n he_o will_v i_o say_v be_v more_o willing_a to_o endure_v all_o these_o thing_n than_o forsake_v this_o excellent_a life_n although_o he_o can_v in_o exchange_n thereof_o obtain_v the_o life_n of_o a_o angel_n and_o here_o answer_n be_v make_v to_o the_o question_n where_o it_o be_v ask_v if_o a_o man_n by_o a_o christian_a life_n obtain_v nothing_o more_o nor_o can_v raise_v any_o other_o profit_n what_o need_n be_v there_o then_o that_o he_o shall_v do_v any_o thing_n this_o life_n be_v not_o follow_v to_o this_o end_n that_o thence_o profit_v aught_o to_o arise_v or_o any_o other_o thing_n be_v gain_v but_o only_o in_o the_o behalf_n of_o love_n and_o the_o excellency_n thereof_o also_o because_o it_o be_v dear_a and_o acceptable_a to_o god_n now_o if_o any_o man_n will_v say_v or_o think_v that_o he_o have_v get_v enough_o of_o it_o or_o that_o he_o may_v give_v it_o over_o this_o man_n do_v neither_o feel_v nor_o know_v it_o for_o where_o it_o be_v true_o find_v and_o feel_v it_o can_v never_o be_v forsake_v but_o he_o that_o have_v the_o life_n of_o christ_n to_o this_o end_n that_o thereby_o he_o may_v attain_v or_o deserve_v something_o this_o man_n have_v it_o as_o a_o hireling_n and_o not_o for_o love_n or_o rather_o he_o have_v it_o not_o at_o all_o he_o that_o have_v it_o not_o in_o love_n have_v it_o not_o and_o although_o he_o think_v he_o have_v it_o he_o be_v deceive_v christ_n have_v this_o life_n not_o for_o reward_v but_o for_o love_n and_o love_n make_v this_o life_n easy_a and_o not_o grievous_a cause_v it_o to_o pass_v away_o cheerfu_o and_o to_o be_v willing_o bear_v but_o he_o that_o do_v not_o keep_v it_o for_o love_n but_o suppose_v that_o he_o have_v it_o for_o reward_n to_o he_o it_o be_v most_o grievous_a and_o he_o desire_v to_o be_v soon_o rid_v of_o it_o and_o this_o be_v the_o property_n of_o every_o hireling_n to_o desire_v and_o wish_v a_o end_n of_o his_o labour_n whereas_o a_o true_a lover_n take_v neither_o pain_n time_n nor_o labour_n in_o ill_a part_n for_o this_o cause_n it_o be_v write_v to_o serve_v god_n and_o to_o live_v to_o he_o be_v easy_a to_o he_o that_o do_v it_o this_o indeed_o be_v true_a to_o he_o that_o do_v all_o thing_n in_o love_n but_o to_o he_o that_o do_v they_o for_o reward_n it_o be_v grievous_a the_o same_o be_v to_o be_v hold_v of_o all_o virtue_n and_o good_a deed_n and_o also_o of_o integrity_n equity_n and_o the_o like_a chap._n xxxvii_o that_o god_n be_v above_o all_o order_n it_o be_v say_v and_o it_o be_v true_a that_o god_n be_v above_o all_o custom_n measure_n and_o order_n and_z giveth_z custom_n order_n and_o measure_n to_o all_o thing_n which_o must_v be_v thus_o understand_v god_n be_v willing_a to_o have_v all_o these_o thing_n but_o notwithstanding_o he_o can_v have_v they_o in_o himself_o without_o the_o creature_n for_o in_o god_n without_o the_o creature_n there_o be_v neither_o order_n nor_o confusion_n rite_n nor_o ceremony_n for_o this_o cause_n his_o will_n be_v that_o these_o thing_n shall_v be_v and_o that_o they_o may_v and_o aught_o to_o be_v do_v for_o where_o word_n work_n or_o action_n be_v there_o be_v necessity_n that_o these_o shall_v be_v do_v either_o according_a to_o order_n custom_n measure_n or_o reason_n or_o without_o order_n now_o order_n and_o reason_n be_v better_o and_o more_o excellent_a than_o these_o thing_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o they_o but_o now_o we_o must_v observe_v that_o there_o be_v four_o sort_n of_o man_n who_o do_v hold_v order_n ceremony_n and_o law_n some_o do_v it_o neither_o these_o thing_n and_o therefore_o hold_v they_o in_o scorn_n and_o derision_n 4._o the_o four_o sort_n be_v such_o who_o be_v fill_v with_o a_o true_a light_n and_o do_v not_o these_o thing_n for_o reward_n for_o they_o desire_v not_o to_o obtain_v any_o thing_n by_o they_o or_o to_o attain_v any_o thing_n by_o their_o help_n but_o whatsoever_o thing_n they_o perform_v concern_v these_o they_o do_v it_o out_o of_o love_n and_o these_o man_n be_v not_o so_o careful_a how_o many_o of_o these_o thing_n or_o how_o soon_o they_o do_v these_o or_o the_o like_a thing_n but_o how_o well_o and_o that_o they_o may_v be_v do_v in_o peace_n and_o
except_o he_o first_o perform_v and_o suffer_v all_o these_o thing_n which_o be_v by_o christ_n perform_v and_o suffer_v and_o if_o christ_n attain_v not_o to_o this_o before_o he_o first_o endure_v and_o suffer_v the_o death_n of_o the_o body_n and_o all_o other_o thing_n that_o belong_v thereunto_o then_o sure_o no_o man_n can_v nor_o ever_o shall_v attain_v to_o this_o so_o long_o as_o he_o be_v mortal_a and_o subject_a to_o pain_n for_o if_o this_o thing_n have_v be_v the_o best_a and_o most_o excellent_a thing_n or_o if_o it_o can_v or_o ought_v to_o be_v that_o man_n in_o this_o ceremony_n action_n and_o omission_n of_o action_n silence_n speech_n suffer_v and_o whatsoever_o happen_v to_o christ_n be_v not_o necessary_a to_o he_o neither_o do_v he_o stand_v in_o need_n of_o and_o this_o be_v the_o true_a light_n the_o other_o be_v a_o false_a light_n which_o be_v the_o light_n of_o nature_n or_o natural_a light_n but_o why_o the_o first_o light_n shall_v be_v true_a and_o the_o other_o false_a it_o may_v be_v better_o observe_v then_o either_o write_v or_o speak_v nothing_o appertain_v to_o god_n as_o to_o the_o divinity_n neither_o will_n nor_o knowledge_n nor_o
