not_o absolute_o justify_v the_o sentence_n of_o the_o high_a court_n i_o have_v rather_o patient_o undergo_v the_o sentence_n than_o absolute_o to_o justify_v it_o i_o must_v confess_v through_o advice_n of_o lawyer_n and_o earnest_a solicitatious_a of_o friend_n i_o do_v in_o my_o last_o petition_n after_o a_o sort_n and_o in_o some_o sense_n say_v the_o sentence_n be_v just_a in_o what_o sense_n i_o shall_v by_o and_o by_o show_n my_o word_n be_v these_o he_o humble_o acknowledge_v he_o have_v so_o high_o violate_v the_o law_n of_o the_o commonwealth_n as_o that_o thereby_o he_o have_v render_v himself_o guilty_a of_o the_o sentence_n of_o death_n just_o past_a upon_o he_o by_o the_o high_a court_n of_o justice_n in_o which_o word_n first_o i_o do_v not_o justify_v their_o law_n nor_o second_o the_o legality_n of_o the_o court_n three_o nor_o the_o sufficiency_n of_o the_o testimony_n of_o the_o witness_n there_o do_v not_o any_o two_o witness_n evidence_n any_o one_o fact_n against_o i_o that_o be_v treason_n by_o their_o new_a act_n and_o that_o some_o member_n of_o the_o high_a court_n have_v confess_v unto_o i_o have_v speak_v negative_o what_o be_v not_o the_o matter_n of_o my_o petition_n i_o now_o come_v to_o speak_v positive_o what_o be_v the_o matter_n of_o my_o petition_n wherein_o i_o have_v say_v or_o do_v nothing_o contrary_a to_o conscience_n or_o my_o former_a principle_n the_o matter_n of_o my_o petition_n contain_v three_o part_n first_o the_o narratory_n part_n second_o the_o promissory_a part_n three_o the_o petitionary_a part_n at_o the_o last_n none_o can_v be_v offend_v unless_o such_o as_o thirst_v after_o my_o blood_n in_o that_o i_o do_v but_o beg_v a_o grant_n of_o my_o life_n that_o i_o may_v be_v rescue_v from_o go_v down_o into_o the_o grave_a none_o can_v just_o blame_v i_o for_o beg_v my_o life_n from_o any_o who_o have_v my_o life_n in_o the_o power_n of_o their_o hand_n i_o need_v not_o speak_v to_o that_o but_o the_o two_o former_a part_n of_o my_o petition_n viz._n the_o narratory_n and_o promissory_a part_n require_v more_o to_o be_v speak_v concerning_o they_o as_o touch_v the_o narratory_n part_n i_o shall_v begin_v with_o the_o first_o petition_n the_o narratory_n part_n run_v thus_o most_o humble_o show_v your_o petitioner_n have_v receive_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n by_o the_o high_a court_n of_o justice_n be_v prepare_v himself_o in_o all_o humility_n and_o serious_a submission_n to_o drink_v that_o bitter_a cup_n the_o terror_n whereof_o though_o much_o abate_v through_o the_o pardon_a mercy_n of_o god_n in_o the_o blood_n of_o sprinkle_v yet_o your_o petitioner_n be_v bring_v down_o to_o the_o dust_n of_o death_n desire_v to_o see_v the_o righteous_a lord_n in_o this_o do_v confess_v render_v he_o faulty_a for_o which_o he_o be_v unfeigned_o sorry_a your_o petitioner_n go_v not_o about_o to_o plead_v excuse_n but_o with_o a_o humble_a submission_n prostrate_v himself_o at_o your_o foot_n acknowledge_v he_o have_v offend_v against_o the_o act_n of_o this_o commonwealth_n and_o thereby_o be_v fall_v under_o your_o sore_a displeasure_n of_o which_o he_o be_v very_o deep_o sensible_a and_o sorrowful_a also_o this_o be_v all_o the_o narratory_n part_n which_o i_o hope_v offend_v no_o sober_a mind_n nor_o christian_a ear_n it_o offend_v some_o i_o have_v say_v no_o more_o it_o offend_v none_o i_o hope_v that_o i_o have_v say_v so_o much_o i_o desire_v to_o give_v you_o a_o few_o thing_n to_o observe_v out_o of_o these_o word_n in_o my_o first_o petition_n 1._o i_o say_v i_o desire_v to_o see_v the_o righteous_a lord_n in_o this_o sentence_n i_o do_v acknowledge_v god_n to_o be_v righteous_a what_o ever_o man_n be_v in_o all_o that_o be_v bring_v upon_o i_o he_o be_v righteous_a shall_v a_o worse_a sentence_n than_o death_n pass_v upon_o i_o 2._o i_o do_v acknowledge_v it_o to_o be_v just_a with_o the_o most_o high_a to_o cut_v i_o off_o both_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o my_o day_n and_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o my_o ministry_n i_o do_v not_o say_v it_o be_v just_a with_o man_n they_o shall_v answer_v for_o what_o they_o have_v do_v but_o it_o be_v just_a with_o god_n he_o be_v just_a in_o man_n injustice_n and_o righteous_a in_o man_n unrighteousness_n 3._o i_o say_v in_o my_o petition_n that_o i_o desire_v to_o be_v deep_o humble_v under_o the_o mighty_a hand_n of_o god_n lie_v low_o before_o the_o lord_n and_o you_o put_v his_o mouth_n in_o the_o dust_n if_o there_o may_v be_v hope_n that_o god_n will_v pardon_v his_o
