faith_n weak_a as_o i_o say_v it_o may_v be_v so_o weak_a as_o that_o there_o may_v be_v nothing_o sometime_o but_o hungering_n and_o thirsting_n and_o desire_n after_o christ_n therefore_o we_o shall_v search_v and_o examine_v what_o our_o faith_n be_v the_o weakness_n of_o it_o and_o thereby_o be_v the_o more_o desirous_a to_o come_v to_o this_o ordinance_n that_o our_o weak_a faith_n and_o true_o reconcile_v and_o at_o peace_n with_o all_o whether_o we_o have_v no_o grudge_n nor_o no_o envy_n for_o private_a and_o particular_a offence_n against_o one_o or_o another_o and_o that_o we_o be_v ready_a to_o go_v and_o seek_v peace_n and_o reconciliation_n with_o they_o that_o have_v offend_v we_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v our_o love_n with_o the_o weakness_n of_o it_o wherein_o we_o and_o who_o alone_o deliver_v from_o the_o wrath_n to_o come_v it_o must_v abide_v upon_o we_o think_v of_o these_o thing_n between_o the_o lord_n and_o your_o own_o soul_n and_o let_v we_o call_v to_o one_o another_o and_o awaken_v one_o another_o and_o tell_v one_o another_o of_o the_o danger_n that_o we_o be_v in_o if_o this_o house_n where_o we_o be_v be_v set_v on_o fire_n and_o one_o be_v asleep_o here_o it_o be_v time_n to_o awaken_v they_o o_o if_o you_o have_v child_n servant_n acquaintance_n that_o be_v in_o a_o ignorant_a and_o profane_a way_n call_v to_o they_o and_o endeavour_v and_o what_o be_v there_o in_o believe_v that_o those_o that_o believe_v shall_v have_v everlasting_a life_n answ_n there_o be_v nothing_o of_o merit_n of_o efficiency_n or_o causality_n in_o our_o believe_v to_o free_v we_o from_o the_o wrath_n of_o god_n and_o to_o bring_v we_o to_o everlasting_a life_n for_o everlasting_a life_n be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n through_o jesus_n christ_n our_o lord_n so_o that_o we_o do_v not_o set_v up_o faith_n to_o have_v any_o part_n with_o christ_n in_o the_o glory_n of_o our_o salvation_n but_o i_o pray_v consider_v it_o that_o faith_n be_v that_o grace_n whereby_o we_o lose_v sinner_n be_v convince_v of_o our_o sin_n and_o have_v no_o hope_n of_o any_o help_n and_o relief_n in_o ourselves_o do_v whole_o betake_v ourselves_o to_o jesus_n the_o mediator_n for_o our_o salvation_n so_o that_o christ_n be_v all_o and_o do_v all_o and_o by_o faith_n we_o receive_v and_o embrace_v christ_n our_o justifier_n and_o so_o have_v the_o lord_n ordain_v that_o by_o go_v out_o of_o ourselves_o and_o receive_v christ_n the_o mediator_n we_o have_v the_o gift_n of_o righteousness_n even_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n impute_v to_o we_o to_o the_o justification_n of_o life_n so_o that_o it_o be_v not_o faith_n as_o a_o work_n but_o faith_n as_o a_o hand_n or_o instrument_n whereby_o we_o receive_v christ_n the_o saviour_n that_o justify_v we_o in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n quest_n but_o how_o shall_v i_o come_v to_o believe_v on_o the_o lord_n jesus_n answ_n 1._o you_o must_v be_v convince_v of_o sin_n you_o must_v see_v that_o you_o be_v guilty_a before_o god_n that_o you_o can_v stand_v before_o the_o holy_a lord_n god_n but_o alas_o man_n heart_n be_v so_o take_v up_o with_o the_o care_n and_o pleasure_n of_o the_o world_n and_o think_v so_o little_a of_o eternity_n and_o the_o judgement_n to_o come_v that_o it_o be_v in_o the_o thought_n of_o few_o how_o they_o shall_v be_v discharge_v from_o the_o guilt_n of_o their_o sin_n and_o have_v everlasting_a life_n 2._o you_o must_v see_v that_o there_o be_v no_o help_n for_o you_o in_o your_o own_o personal_a righteousness_n how_o can_v there_o when_o you_o have_v sin_v already_o and_o all_o the_o righteousness_n that_o you_o can_v perform_v in_o this_o life_n be_v defective_a and_o full_a of_o imperfection_n you_o must_v know_v that_o there_o must_v be_v a_o perfect_a righteousness_n to_o justify_v you_o 3._o you_o must_v know_v that_o christ_n be_v he_o that_o be_v ordain_v of_o god_n to_o be_v the_o saviour_n that_o you_o can_v be_v save_v only_o by_o his_o blood_n and_o righteousness_n and_o so_o cast_v yourself_o whole_o upon_o he_o this_o faith_n be_v the_o gift_n of_o god_n no_o man_n can_v come_v to_o christ_n except_o the_o father_n which_o of_o the_o greatness_n of_o god_n the_o holiness_n of_o his_o law_n the_o revenge_a justice_n of_o god_n and_o his_o own_o guilt_n and_o filth_n it_o be_v a_o great_a work_n of_o god_n to_o fix_v and_o stay_v the_o heart_n upon_o the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n to_o deliver_v such_o a_o one_o from_o go_v down_o to_o the_o pit_n and_o bring_v the_o soul_n to_o everlasting_a life_n object_n i_o dare_v not_o come_v to_o christ_n because_o i_o do_v not_o know_v i_o be_o elect_v answer_v you_o can_v
and_o now_o there_o come_v a_o powerful_a light_n into_o the_o heart_n to_o reveal_v christ_n so_o as_o to_o enable_v the_o soul_n to_o see_v christ_n hold_v forth_o in_o the_o promise_n and_o to_o christ_n than_o we_o be_v make_v alive_a indeed_o for_o whereas_o we_o be_v under_o the_o sentence_n of_o death_n by_o the_o law_n now_o we_o be_v forgive_v all_o trespass_n and_o have_v the_o
