down_o these_o conclusion_n for_o two_o reason_n one_o be_v to_o stop_v the_o clamour_n of_o evil-minded_n man_n who_o give_v out_o that_o if_o redemption_n by_o christ_n be_v not_o universal_a than_o we_o shut_v the_o door_n against_o sinner_n and_o discourage_v they_o from_o come_v unto_o christ_n another_o be_v to_o encourage_v the_o heart_n of_o all_o brokenhearted_a sinner_n to_o draw_v near_o to_o christ_n though_o all_o man_n be_v not_o effectual_o redeem_v by_o he_o i_o will_v concern_v this_o point_n clear_a unto_o you_o these_o two_o position_n 1._o that_o though_o effectual_a redemption_n by_o christ_n be_v not_o universal_a but_o particular_a yet_o this_o be_v not_o in_o the_o nature_n of_o it_o a_o doctrine_n to_o discourage_v any_o sinner_n from_o come_v unto_o christ_n we_o have_v familiar_a simile_n to_o illustrate_v this_o as_o that_o of_o a_o race_n wherein_o though_o but_o one_o shall_v certain_o enjoy_v the_o prize_n or_o laurel_n yet_o this_o do_v not_o discourage_v any_o one_o from_o run_v the_o race_n and_o as_o if_o any_o place_n be_v void_a in_o a_o society_n though_o only_o a_o few_o can_v be_v choose_v and_o possess_v of_o those_o place_n yet_o this_o do_v not_o discourage_v many_o from_o stand_v for_o those_o place_n so_o although_o effectual_a redemption_n by_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n be_v particular_a yet_o this_o discourage_v none_o from_o look_v after_o christ_n or_o come_v by_o faith_n unto_o he_o for_o 1._o no_o sinner_n know_v any_o particular_a exclusion_n of_o himself_o no_o sinner_n at_o least_o unto_o who_o the_o gospel_n
