duty_n of_o christ_n prophetical_a office_n by_o allusion_n to_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o prophet_n in_o the_o old_a testament_n especial_o those_o which_o belong_v to_o the_o school_n of_o elias_n this_o power_n to_o execute_v and_o perform_v such_o a_o duty_n so_o he_o have_v commit_v the_o dispensation_n thereof_o to_o the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n for_o we_o may_v not_o think_v that_o christ_n in_o his_o own_o person_n minister_v and_o speak_v word_n of_o comfort_n to_o the_o weary_a in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o prophet_n because_o he_o be_v not_o then_o exhibit_v in_o our_o nature_n and_o yet_o he_o do_v then_o speak_v but_o how_o in_o the_o person_n of_o the_o prophet_n so_o likewise_o because_o christ_n now_o in_o the_o new_a testament_n speak_v not_o unto_o the_o afflict_a in_o his_o own_o proper_a person_n it_o remain_v therefore_o that_o he_o perform_v this_o great_a work_n in_o the_o ministry_n of_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n upon_o earth_n to_o who_o he_o first_o ground_n be_v that_o in_o the_o trouble_n of_o conscience_n it_o be_v meet_v and_o convenient_a there_o shall_v always_o be_v use_v a_o private_a confession_n for_o james_n say_v confess_v your_o fault_n one_o to_o another_o 16._o and_o pray_v one_o for_o another_o thereby_o signify_v that_o confession_n in_o this_o case_n be_v to_o be_v use_v as_o a_o thing_n most_o requisite_a for_o in_o all_o reason_n the_o physician_n must_v first_o know_v the_o disease_n before_o he_o can_v apply_v the_o remedy_n and_o the_o grief_n of_o the_o heart_n will_v not_o be_v discern_v unless_o it_o be_v manifest_v by_o the_o confession_n of_o the_o party_n disease_v and_o for_o this_o cause_n also_o in_o the_o grief_n of_o conscience_n the_o scruple_n that_o be_v the_o thing_n that_o trouble_v simple_o or_o absolute_o necessary_a without_o which_o there_o can_v be_v no_o salvation_n again_o it_o be_v not_o fit_v that_o confession_n shall_v be_v of_o all_o sin_n but_o only_o of_o the_o
