preparation_n for_o the_o triumph_n of_o the_o people_n and_o to_o look_v upon_o all_o as_o a_o conqueror_n there_o be_v his_o triumph_n this_o triumph_n thus_o spoke_n of_o it_o have_v allusion_n unto_o the_o triumph_n of_o the_o world_n and_o especial_o that_o of_o the_o roman_a state_n wherein_o there_o be_v first_o present_v a_o multitude_n of_o trumpeter_n sound_v out_o the_o victory_n and_o resound_v then_o come_v in_o chariot_n of_o spoil_n spoil_n of_o armour_n spoil_n of_o riches_n the_o conqueror_n he_o sit_v in_o the_o midst_n look_v back_o unto_o those_o noble_a slave_n that_o come_v behind_o their_o wife_n their_o child_n and_o all_o their_o hand_n bind_v about_o they_o i_o will_v pass_v no_o far_o in_o the_o story_n enough_o for_o application_n now_o i_o beseech_v you_o extend_v your_o mind_n as_o much_o as_o you_o can_v that_o we_o may_v behold_v at_o least_o some_o glimpse_n of_o this_o great_a victory_n of_o our_o saviour_n christ_n and_o of_o his_o conquest_n here_o now_o where_o be_v his_o sight_n of_o majesty_n he_o be_v now_o give_v up_o the_o ghost_n upon_o the_o cross_n and_o behold_v a_o triumph_n why_o god_n and_o man_n the_o deity_n never_o forsake_v the_o manhood_n no_o not_o in_o his_o death_n the_o virtue_n of_o his_o death_n be_v the_o crucify_a of_o the_o devil_n and_o all_o his_o power_n and_o now_o i_o come_v to_o the_o slave_n of_o this_o triumph_n the_o principality_n and_o power_n namely_o the_o great_a power_n that_o can_v be_v conceive_v in_o creature_n and_o who_o shall_v deal_v with_o they_o but_o he_o that_o be_v above_o all_o power_n christ_n our_o saviour_n what_o do_v he_o spoil_v they_o of_o of_o all_o their_o design_n be_v they_o never_o so_o mischievous_a he_o spoil_v they_o of_o all_o their_o wile_n and_o prevent_v they_o they_o can_v do_v nothing_o never_o any_o thing_n to_o the_o prejudice_n of_o the_o child_n of_o god_n regenerate_v never_o any_o thing_n that_o shall_v work_v to_o his_o overthrow_n this_o be_v that_o spoil_n and_o he_o lead_v they_o as_o it_o be_v here_o in_o the_o other_o text_n open_a in_o view_n he_o go_v not_o out_o of_o sight_n so_o that_o this_o point_n be_v contemplative_a here_o be_v no_o cherubim_n or_o seraphim_n angel_n or_o archangel_n but_o whatsoever_o can_v be_v see_v in_o the_o world_n by_o the_o mortal_a eye_n that_o be_v visible_o perform_v by_o christ_n thus_o much_o for_o that_o second_o triumph_n and_o so_o it_o shall_v be_v in_o the_o general_a resurrection_n 1_o cor._n 15._o oh_o death_n where_o be_v thy_o sting_n oh_o hell_n or_o of_o this_o victory_n in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o resurrection_n of_o the_o holy_a saint_n and_o martyr_n what_o will_v become_v of_o the_o law_n the_o law_n of_o god_n it_o shall_v be_v cancel_v no_o more_o law_n here_o and_o the_o law_n it_o be_v the_o strength_n of_o sin_n for_o if_o there_o be_v no_o law_n there_o be_v no_o transgression_n the_o law_n be_v take_v away_o there_o be_v no_o more_o unto_o a_o worm_n thou_o be_v my_o father_n and_o unto_o rottenness_n thou_o be_v my_o mother_n thus_o you_o see_v what_o we_o be_v food_n for_o worm_n but_o let_v we_o take_v heed_n we_o meet_v not_o o_o lord_n whatever_o thou_o take_v from_o i_o take_v not_o from_o i_o this_o glory_n this_o eternal_a glory_n lord_n here_o cut_v i_o and_o slay_v i_o do_v what_o thou_o will_v with_o i_o only_o save_o my_o soul_n there_o be_v many_o loss_n in_o this_o world_n of_o husband_n of_o child_n of_o good_n by_o unfaithful_a servant_n by_o fire_n by_o irreligious_a and_o prodigal_a child_n but_o these_o mystery_n which_o we_o may_v see_v in_o 1_o cor._n 13.9_o a_o sermon_n preach_v by_o master_n price_n at_o s._n paul_n church_n on_o low-sunday_n may_v 2._o 1641._o 1_o corinthian_n 13.9_o
