may_v understand_v that_o he_o be_v not_o destitute_a of_o power_n but_o suffer_v of_o his_o own_o accord_n second_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o jew_n that_o he_o may_v put_v they_o to_o shame_n for_o if_o he_o have_v desire_v it_o in_o the_o time_n of_o his_o passion_n he_o may_v as_o well_o have_v dry_v up_o they_o as_o the_o figtree_n he_o therefore_o curse_v it_o as_o we_o say_v that_o there_o shall_v be_v no_o opinion_n take_v up_o of_o his_o weakness_n as_o if_o he_o have_v dye_v unwilling_o for_o the_o time_n of_o his_o passion_n draw_v near_o it_o be_v necessary_a that_o he_o shall_v show_v his_o power_n to_o his_o disciple_n and_o crucifier_n yet_o he_o do_v not_o exercise_v the_o same_o upon_o man_n because_o he_o be_v a_o lover_n of_o mankind_n and_o if_o he_o have_v show_v his_o power_n upon_o a_o man_n it_o will_v have_v be_v think_v that_o he_o have_v be_v dry_v up_o by_o reason_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o not_o by_o the_o power_n of_o his_o act_n he_o show_v his_o power_n upon_o that_o which_o be_v another_o man_n possession_n and_o it_o be_v from_o possession_n or_o riches_n that_o a_o honourable_a life_n be_v associate_v with_o temporal_a esteem_n but_o by_o a_o tree_n and_o from_o that_o tree_n which_o be_v of_o all_o other_o tree_n most_o soft_a and_o moist_a insomuch_o that_o when_o it_o be_v cut_v down_o it_o do_v scarce_o wither_v in_o a_o long_a time_n and_o in_o that_o he_o dry_v it_o up_o by_o a_o word_n of_o his_o mouth_n he_o do_v show_v unto_o his_o disciple_n and_o crucifier_n his_o power_n and_o that_o he_o suffer_v voluntary_o the_o tree_n which_o adam_n do_v eat_v of_o be_v a_o figtree_n and_o therein_o be_v a_o retribution_n of_o justice_n this_o tree_n when_o christ_n cause_v it_o to_o wither_v the_o owner_n thereof_o bring_v it_o to_o the_o city_n and_o the_o crucifier_n take_v it_o and_o thereon_o crucify_a our_o lord_n some_o man_n will_v have_v this_o signification_n in_o the_o figtree_n that_o it_o be_v call_v 〈◊〉_d
