signification_n of_o the_o word_n which_o the_o spirit_n use_v now_o let_v we_o see_v how_o he_o oppugn_v this_o 1._o he_o say_v the_o scripture_n sometime_o speak_v plain_o sometime_o metaphorical_o parabolical_o now_o in_o that_o he_o say_v it_o speak_v sometime_o plain_o it_o grant_v that_o sometime_o it_o speak_v not_o plain_o now_o when_o the_o scripture_n speak_v plain_o we_o know_v viz._n when_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n be_v so_o apply_v to_o the_o word_n in_o their_o native_a and_o common_a signification_n that_o he_o that_o know_v the_o one_o may_v know_v the_o other_o but_o when_o do_v they_o speak_v not_o plain_o certain_o it_o be_v when_o he_o that_o know_v the_o nature_n and_o usual_a acceptation_n of_o the_o word_n use_v and_o follow_v that_o and_o so_o mistake_v the_o true_a sense_n when_o the_o sense_n be_v beyond_o the_o native_a and_o
word_n in_o a_o threefold_a relation_n viz._n to_o the_o author_n who_o he_o cit_v to_o the_o former_a state_v which_o he_o reject_v to_o the_o question_n of_o which_o he_o pretend_v it_o be_v a_o state_n as_o they_o relate_v to_o the_o author_n cite_v by_o he_o i_o answer_v these_o two_o particular_n 1._o it_o can_v be_v either_o prove_v or_o expect_v that_o these_o word_n shall_v be_v the_o state_n of_o this_o question_n about_o redemption_n because_o that_o be_v not_o his_o theme_n he_o treat_v there_o of_o reprobation_n and_o therefore_o no_o rational_a man_n will_v expect_v to_o
