the_o blood_n of_o thy_o sin_n and_o leave_v thou_o destitute_a of_o all_o inward_a feel_n of_o comfort_n yet_o if_o thou_o be_v the_o most_o heinous_a sinner_n and_o have_v but_o a_o inclination_n &_o a_o inward_a true_a desire_n to_o regain_v his_o favour_n and_o be_v true_o sorry_a that_o thou_o have_v offend_v he_o he_o will_v turn_v again_o and_o have_v compassion_n upon_o thou_o he_o will_v put_v away_o thy_o iniquity_n and_o cast_v thy_o sin_n into_o the_o bottom_n of_o the_o sea_n for_o as_o high_a as_o the_o heaven_n be_v above_o the_o earth_n 11._o so_o great_a be_v his_o mercy_n towards_o they_o that_o true_o fear_v he_o god_n be_v just_a in_o deed_n but_o if_o it_o may_v be_v so_o say_v he_o be_v more_o merciful_a than_o just_a but_o to_o none_o but_o to_o such_o as_o do_v not_o only_o fear_v and_o grieve_v for_o their_o sin_n as_o do_v judas_n and_o esau_n but_o to_o such_o alone_a sin_n as_o in_o a_o lively_a faith_n take_v hold_v of_o the_o merit_n of_o pardon_v by_o say_v only_a lord_n have_v mercy_n upon_o i_o or_o by_o some_o superficial_a and_o light_a confession_n and_o when_o the_o sin_n be_v commit_v he_o tell_v thou_o that_o thy_o sin_n be_v so_o great_a and_o heinous_a as_o they_o can_v not_o be_v forgive_v agravate_v that_o servile_a fear_n which_o often_o draw_v silly_a weak_a soul_n to_o despair_v of_o god_n mercy_n thou_o grieve_v merit_n of_o jesus_n christ_n believe_v the_o contrary_a for_o he_o himself_o know_v and_o have_v confess_v christ_n to_o be_v the_o saviour_n of_o the_o faithful_a and_o he_o that_o shall_v final_o condemn_v he_o and_o all_o unbeliever_n 29_o be_v thou_o come_v to_o torment_v we_o before_o the_o time_n say_v he_o foreshow_v that_o there_o be_v a_o time_n appoint_v for_o his_o utter_a condemnation_n at_o the_o last_o day_n he_o know_v that_o christ_n come_v to_o save_v sinner_n and_o that_o without_o exception_n of_o any_o sin_n ghost_n the_o sin_n against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n whole_a armour_n of_o god_n and_o he_o will_v buckle_v it_o unto_o thou_o that_o arm_a christ_n against_o this_o common_a and_o mortal_a adversary_n believer_n who_o overcome_v he_o and_o triumph_v a_o father_n love_v his_o ungodly_a and_o disobedient_a child_n if_o he_o can_v otherwise_o tame_v and_o reform_v he_o by_o counsel_n and_o gentle_a correction_n but_o that_o he_o will_v still_o run_v into_o forbid_a way_n &_o dangerous_a and_o ungodly_a course_n he_o find_v at_o the_o last_o no_o other_o prevail_a remedy_n but_o to_o take_v he_o &_o fetter_v he_o restrain_v he_o by_o force_n from_o his_o impious_a course_n of_o life_n yet_o in_o love_n so_o do_v our_o love_a and_o heavenly_a father_n after_o trial_n of_o such_o as_o he_o love_v by_o counsel_n by_o instruction_n and_o holy_a document_n out_o of_o his_o word_n &_o many_o time_n by_o gentle_a correction_n &_o fatherly_a chastisement_n which_o not_o prevail_a to_o their_o reformation_n he_o use_v this_o restrain_v mean_n he_o deprive_v they_o of_o their_o liberty_n by_o imprisonment_n from_o whence_o they_o can_v at_o their_o pleasure_n run_v out_o after_o their_o former_a ungodly_a delight_n and_o accustom_a vanity_n only_o to_o learn_v they_o to_o live_v within_o the_o more_o compass_n of_o obedience_n and_o to_o bring_v their_o corrupt_a mind_n will_n and_o affection_n into_o some_o better_a order_n and_o when_o he_o have_v sufficient_o try_v they_o he_o let_v they_o go_v free_a and_o therefore_o consider_v whosoever_o thou_o be_v that_o be_v thus_o restrain_v that_o thou_o may_v have_v if_o thou_o be_v any_o way_n incline_v to_o fear_n and_o serve_v god_n far_o more_o time_n and_o liberty_n to_o perform_v many_o godly_a duty_n god_n more_o and_o more_o free_o in_o this_o place_n of_o restraint_n then_o when_o thou_o have_v thy_o liberty_n there_o thou_o may_v ruminate_v and_o examine_v thyself_o of_o the_o abuse_n of_o thy_o former_a freedom_n wherein_o thou_o do_v many_o way_n offend_v god_n and_o transgress_v the_o law_n of_o thy_o sovereign_n which_o in_o this_o place_n thou_o can_v not_o so_o free_o do_v but_o rather_o thou_o may_v here_o meditate_v of_o better_a thing_n howsoever_o thy_o desire_n may_v be_v corrupt_a by_o nature_n and_o have_v a_o long_a desire_n to_o be_v at_o liberty_n to_o fulfil_v thy_o former_a delight_n as_o the_o child_n of_o israel_n long_v and_o look_v back_o to_o the_o onion_n gowrdes_fw-mi fleshpot_n of_o egypt_n be_v free_v from_o great_a captivity_n than_o thou_o indure_v here_o the_o least_o restraint_n that_o a_o natural_a man_n have_v that_o love_v the_o delight_n of_o the_o world_n pleasure_n and_o his_o fleshly_a pleasure_n be_v as_o death_n to_o be_v prevent_v of_o they_o if_o he_o have_v but_o the_o goâ—te_n or_o any_o other_o impediment_n of_o any_o part_n of_o his_o body_n which_o disable_v he_o to_o follow_v or_o perform_v his_o former_a vanity_n he_o long_v to_o be_v ease_v that_o he_o may_v renew_v his_o sin_n by_o accompany_v his_o former_a associate_n in_o the_o delight_n wherein_o they_o mutual_o be_v wont_a to_o spend_v precious_a time_n in_o the_o large_a and_o delightsome_a field_n of_o this_o world_n where_o be_v as_o many_o occasion_n tentation_n allurement_n &_o provocation_n to_o miscarry_v the_o thought_n as_o the_o eye_n can_v see_v the_o ear_n hear_v or_o any_o of_o the_o sense_n observe_v all_o tend_v in_o carnal_o mind_a man_n to_o the_o offend_n of_o god_n and_o if_o a_o man_n have_v not_o the_o special_a gift_n of_o sobriety_n continence_n &_o temperance_n the_o liberty_n and_o freedom_n of_o this_o deceive_a world_n &_o the_o corrupt_a inclination_n of_o the_o flesh_n can_v but_o seduce_v he_o though_o he_o be_v in_o part_n of_o some_o good_a inclination_n yet_o here_o he_o shall_v find_v a_o secret_a satan_n &_o his_o public_a prompter_n to_o miscarry_v he_o thou_o therefore_o that_o be_v thus_o restrain_v and_o limit_v within_o the_o wall_n imprison_v beyond_o which_o thou_o can_v not_o go_v thy_o mind_n be_v yet_o at_o liberty_n if_o it_o be_v season_v with_o virtue_n faith_n in_o and_o obedience_n to_o god_n thou_o may_v send_v forth_o thy_o prayer_n which_o be_v not_o lock_v in_o which_o can_v but_o return_v with_o great_a comfort_n than_o thou_o do_v enjoy_v when_o thou_o be_v at_o large_a but_o if_o it_o be_v taint_v and_o infect_v with_o unholy_a thought_n and_o desire_n though_o they_o range_v abroad_o to_o tavern_n theater_n and_o other_o profane_a place_n where_o thy_o heart_n direct_v they_o they_o return_v no_o good_a but_o evil_a unto_o thou_o and_o if_o thou_o find_v thyself_o still_o inclinable_a to_o vanity_n here_o thou_o may_v learn_v according_a to_o the_o condition_n of_o some_o of_o thy_o fellowe-prisoner_n to_o be_v more_o vain_a but_o abandon_v their_o society_n and_o seek_v the_o company_n of_o and_o converse_v with_o they_o of_o thy_o fellow_n that_o fear_v god_n for_o it_o can_v be_v that_o a_o prison_n which_o shall_v be_v as_o a_o school_n of_o virtue_n though_o too_o much_o fraught_v with_o many_o vicious_a shall_v be_v altogether_o destitute_a of_o some_o fear_v god_n and_o of_o who_o thou_o may_v either_o learn_v good_a or_o to_o who_o thou_o may_v do_v good_a it_o be_v lamentable_a to_o see_v and_o grievous_a to_o consider_v that_o the_o prison_n be_v a_o place_n intend_v for_o correction_n of_o man_n offend_v god_n and_o the_o law_n of_o man_n imprison_v shall_v not_o only_o not_o be_v better_v by_o their_o restraint_n but_o be_v many_o time_n find_v to_o be_v worse_o condition_v at_o their_o come_n out_o then_o before_o they_o be_v commit_v which_o do_v argue_v they_o so_o impious_a as_o they_o fear_v not_o god_n nor_o reverence_n man_n they_o have_v no_o feel_n of_o their_o sin_n which_o prayer_n to_o god_n in_o his_o son_n christ_n who_o shed_v his_o blood_n for_o thou_o and_o thereby_o able_a to_o wash_v thou_o from_o thy_o bloody_a sin_n if_o thou_o true_o repent_v and_o do_v faithful_o and_o fervent_o pray_v for_o pardon_n and_o if_o thou_o be_v destitute_a of_o the_o power_n to_o pray_v of_o thyself_o thou_o may_v use_v the_o former_a prayer_n make_v for_o a_o man_n grieve_v in_o conscience_n for_o the_o heinousness_n of_o his_o sin_n or_o this_o short_a confession_n and_o prayer_n follow_v and_o that_o often_o until_o thy_o conscience_n become_v at_o peace_n patience_n for_o better_a it_o be_v for_o thou_o to_o suffer_v here_o a_o temporal_a death_n for_o thy_o sin_n then_o to_o carry_v the_o burden_n of_o a_o torment_a conscience_n not_o suspect_v to_o thou_o lord_n to_o prepare_v i_o thereunto_o with_o patience_n faith_n firm_a and_o constant_a assurance_n of_o thy_o mercy_n that_o i_o faint_a not_o at_o my_o approach_a death_n but_o may_v be_v assure_v that_o as_o thou_o forgave_v the_o thief_n upon_o the_o cross_n &_o receive_v he_o into_o paradise_n so_o thou_o will_v receive_v my_o soul_n in_o the_o merit_n of_o christ_n my_o saviour_n offence_n just_a he_o that_o witting_o or_o wilful_o disobey_v the_o law_n of_o man_n go_n be_v guilty_a of_o the_o breach_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n by_o who_o magistrate_n that_o establish_v punishment_n o_o mighty_a omnipotent_a and_o most_o righteous_a lord_n god_n i_o acknowledge_v thy_o judgement_n to_o be_v just_a and_o thy_o wisdom_n and_o providence_n unsearchable_a wherein_o many_o have_v unjust_o enrich_v themselves_o but_o such_o fraudulent_a get_n good_n come_v little_a short_a of_o if_o it_o equalise_v not_o mere_a roberie_n though_o for_o a_o while_o they_o may_v smile_v at_o and_o rejoice_v in_o their_o impious_a policy_n if_o thou_o therefore_o have_v or_o intend_v thus_o subtle_o to_o defraud_v thy_o creditor_n have_v sufficient_a to_o satisfy_v they_o and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n suffer_v thy_o creditor_n to_o want_v punish_v who_o peradventure_o have_v as_o much_o need_n as_o thyself_o there_o be_v not_o only_o no_o pity_n to_o be_v have_v of_o thy_o imprisonment_n but_o fit_a a_o more_o severe_a punishment_n be_v inflict_v upon_o thou_o especial_o if_o thou_o be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o they_o that_o will_v rather_o spend_v that_o in_o prison_n or_o in_o stand_v out_o in_o law_n to_o defraud_v a_o creditor_n know_v that_o in_o equity_n it_o be_v due_a then_o with_o the_o same_o money_n to_o make_v he_o honest_a satisfaction_n or_o saviour_n christ_n and_o enjoy_v the_o most_o amiable_a sight_n of_o he_o and_o the_o society_n of_o the_o whole_a company_n of_o heavenly_a angel_n and_o of_o thy_o fellow_n martyr_n go_v before_o
