VIII O Lord our Lord how excellent is in the earth thy name Who hast thy glory set above the bright heavens fairest frame verse 2 Out of the mouth of suckling babes thou hast ordained strength Because of foes that thou mightst still th' avenging fo at length verse 3 When I the heav'ns consider well thy fingers works that be The Moon and likewise all the Stars that were ordain'd by thee verse 4 What is poor man that thou of him should'st thus so mindfull be Or what the son of man that thou him visits with thine eye verse 5 For even a little lower him then Angels thou hast made With glory and with honour al 's thou crowned hast his head verse 6 Thou mad'st him have dominion ov'r the great works of thine hand Under his feet thou hast all things put both of sea and land verse 7 All sheep to him obedience give and oxen service yeeld Yea which is more him still obey the beasts of all the field verse 8 The foules of th' air and of the sea the fishes more or lesse And whatsoever of the seas still through the paths do passe verse 9 O Lord our Lord those mighty worâ— do high extoll thy fame How excellent in all the earth is thy most glorious name PSAL. X. WHy in thine anger fierce O Lorâ— thus standest thou afar Why hidest thou thyself from us when times of troubles are verse 2 The wicked in his pride the poor doth persecute greatlie In plots which they imagin'd have let them all taken be verse 3 For of his hearts desire alwayes the wicked man doth boast And blesseth al 's the covetous man whom GOD abhorreth most verse 4 Throgh the pride of his countenant the wicked great or small Will not seek GOD in all his though the LORD is not at all verse 5 His wayes alwayes most grievous aâ— thy judgements where he goes Are far above out of his sight he puffs at all his foes verse 6 He hath said in his foolish heart I shall not moved be For I shall never in this life be in adversitie verse 7 Great cursing and deceit and fraud his wicked mouth do fill Under his tongue mischief alwayes and vanitie are still verse 8 He lurking sits in villages in secret places he Kills th' innocent he'gainst the poor his eyes sets privilie verse 9 Hee in his den lies lion like in waite he lyes secret To catch the poore he him doth catch when drawn into his net verse 10 With great deceit he croucheth down himself he humbleth all That by his strong ones at the last the poor may surely fall verse 11 He foolish hath said in his heart God hath most certainlie Forgotten all he hides his face he will it never see verse 12 Arise O Lord make hast O GOâ— lift up thy mightie hand Forget not in thine anger great the humble of the land verse 13 Wherfore doth wicked man in spiâ— GOD to contemne desire He hath said in his foolish heart thou wilt it not require verse 14 Thou hast it all most clearly seen for thou mischief and spite Beholdest thou it with thy hand in
