meet_v and_o stand_v together_o second_o if_o we_o wait_v for_o mercy_n in_o christ_n then_o must_v we_o altogether_o despair_v in_o regard_n of_o ourselves_o of_o ever_o attain_v life_n everlasting_a for_o hope_n send_v a_o man_n out_o of_o himself_o and_o cause_v he_o whole_o to_o rely_v himself_o upon_o christ._n three_o if_o we_o must_v wait_v for_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o mercy_n which_o tend_v to_o life_n everlasting_a then_o much_o more_o must_v we_o in_o our_o danger_n or_o trouble_n wait_v for_o god_n mercy_n in_o our_o deliverance_n if_o we_o must_v wait_v for_o the_o great_a first_o a_o difference_n between_o humane_a or_o carnal_a and_o religious_a or_o christian_a hope_n the_o former_a often_o deceive_v man_n at_o least_o when_o death_n come_v all_o such_o hope_n perish_v but_o the_o second_v never_o deceive_v a_o man_n in_o time_n of_o need_n no_o not_o in_o death_n itself_o second_o hence_o a_o man_n may_v and_o must_v believe_v his_o own_o perseverance_n in_o grace_n for_o where_o this_o hope_n be_v such_o a_o man_n can_v fall_v whole_o from_o christ_n for_o then_o his_o hope_n shall_v disappoint_v he_o neither_o from_o his_o own_o salvation_n because_o this_o hope_n lay_v hold_v on_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n unto_o eternal_a life_n and_o herein_o can_v never_o frustrate_v his_o expectation_n or_o make_v he_o ashamed_a three_o if_o our_o hope_n bring_v we_o to_o the_o fullness_n of_o happiness_n and_o to_o the_o accomplishment_n of_o mercy_n hereafter_o than_o it_o bring_v we_o to_o the_o beginning_n of_o this_o happiness_n even_o in_o this_o life_n for_o the_o begin_n of_o life_n eternal_a be_v in_o this_o life_n and_o stand_v in_o the_o conversion_n of_o sinner_n unto_o god_n and_o in_o amendment_n of_o life_n and_o whosoever_o have_v true_a hope_n he_o be_v thereby_o stir_v up_o unto_o daily_a repentance_n and_o reformation_n of_o life_n 1._o joh._n 3.3_o he_o that_o have_v this_o hope_n purge_v himself_o even_o resemble_v he_o even_o in_o this_o life_n by_o be_v in_o some_o measure_n pure_a holy_a innocent_a meek_a love_a etc._n etc._n even_o as_o he_o be_v for_o otherwise_o if_o our_o life_n be_v not_o in_o some_o reformation_n of_o ourselves_o and_o conformity_n to_o our_o head_n suitable_a to_o the_o profession_n of_o our_o hope_n it_o be_v but_o pretence_n of_o hope_n and_o will_v make_v man_n in_o
